DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY JUNE 27, 2022
(1 Thessalonians 3:12)
***JUNE FINANCIAL UPDATE: Praise God! Thanks to a special gift and many “giving as they are able,” we have cleared up the balance of May’s shortfall last weekend. GOD IS GREAT! This past Monday was a Federal holiday so we are down to the final 4 days of the month to cover the $55,000 we require for our June ministry operations. OUR GOD IS ABLE!!!
As we are literally down to the final days, the first $15,000 of our June ministry operations are weeks past due. $6,000 of that is critical and needed immediately, the other $9,000 is needed by Monday afternoon. If the Lord has blessed you to be able to step up at this critical moment and help me, I would deeply appreciate it. As long as we can cover those critical past due amounts of $6,000 and $9,000, we can hopefully make a dent in the last $40,000 of June’s budget in those final few days so we have as minimal a shortfall as possible heading int! o July. OUR
GOD IS ABLE!!!
Virtually every summer for the past 23 years, Liveprayer has always struggled to cover our ministry operations. It is a time of year when many take off for a few weeks, some have a much looser schedule, the weather is nice and people spend lots of time outdoors. So we understand as we head into the summer months we need to dial up our faith meter to SUPER HIGH! To be honest, mine is stuck on SUPER HIGH! LOL! So if you have sold some property, a business, had a financial windfall of some sort, pray about sowing a special gift into God’s work here at Liveprayer to help me insure our ministry operations are taken care of during these summer months.
Everyone can pray for Liveprayer and our needs, and for those able, seek the Lord what He is calling you to do to help Livprayer this week to cover our May ministry operations. The Bible teaches us to “give according to our ability to give.” For some that may be $10 or $20. For others it may be $50 or! $100. Still
others it may be $200, $500, $1,000, $10,000 or more.
Don’t forget that $1,800 covers one 24 hour day of Liveprayer. Pray about covering one day of ministry with a special gift of $1,800! I received this email yesterday, “Pastor Bill, My wife and I have just sold our last rental and God told us to tithe $1,800.00 to pay for a day of your ministry. Not looking for accolades, just that you know when you receive the check. Rest assured that we will still be making our regular weekly tithe.”

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please guide my steps during this blessed time of the year. Today, I ask that You help me walk in Your light and strength and not in my own.! Please
help me this Easter season to reconcile the relationships of those people who I love and care about. Move on hearts oh Lord and let there be healing and restoration in these relationships for Your glory! Thank you for your many blessings that I often take for granted. Help me to do my best to glorify You in all of my thoughts, words, and deeds. This I ask in the name of Jesus…AMEN!
***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: In Luke 9:62, Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” I have a very short but powerful word for you today. Luke 9:62 is one of the most critical verses in all of God’s Word for those who serve Him. Remember, if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior by faith, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY A SERVANT OF CHRIST! The Bible tells us that it is no longer our life, it belongs to Jesus! So just because you aren’t a pastor, an evangelist, or in some other full-time position of ser! vice, don’t
think this verse doesn’t apply to you, IT DOES! The verse doesn’t require any complicated exegesis. Like much of the Bible it says what it means and means what it says. IT IS TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY! Once you accept Jesus, you are putting your hands on the plow (of service) and for the plow to accomplish its’ job you must be pushing FORWARD! THE PLOW DOESN’T MOVE IF YOU ARE LOOKING BEHIND YOU! Looking back is also a reference to looking back at the world, on your life BEFORE you accepted Jesus. In Friday’s Daily Devotional I spoke to you about a tragic figure in the Bible by the name of Demas. Demas is a classic example of someone who put his hand on the plow and looked back at the world he had left behind. Sadly, Demas left the plow to return to the world. Such a heartbreaking testimony. Every morning that the Lord wakes me up, I commit the day to Him, put my hands on the plow, and push forward. After 30 years of serving the Lord I simply don’t know any other way to live. In ! Ephesians
6 we read about the full armor of God. When you do an inventory of what God provided for His soldiers, you realize right away that there is nothing to protect your back. THAT IS BECAUSE THE CHRISTIAN SOLDIER DOESN’T RETREAT, DOESN’T TURN TAIL AND RUN. THE CHRISTIAN SOLDIER ONLY HAS ONE GEAR…FORWARD…IN THE STRENGTH AND POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD!!! As a mere man of flesh and blood, I fall short every single day. There is rarely a day that goes by that I don’t fail the Lord in some way. It keeps me humble as I strive to be like my Lord. Despite my many failings, one thing I make sure I never do and that is look back. As I set my hands on the plow each morning, my face is set looking straight ahead. I never turn to the right or the left nor do I look backwards since I know victory is not the world I left behind but the Kingdom of God that is in front of me!!! THAT IS TRUE FOR YOU ALSO!!! AMEN!!!

One of the common prayer requests I see daily are requests for God to reconcile family members whose relationships have been broken for a myriad of reasons. One of the tests of our spiritual maturity is the ability to forgive, pray for, and love someone that has wronged us. It is especially difficult when that someone is part of our family.
I am going to challenge you today to exhibit Christ-like love as you share this time of year with your family members.
Regardless of who is at fault, who is wrong, the circumstances involved, my challenge to is to make an attempt to reconcile with someone in your family that you may not currently have! a
relationship with. I realize in many cases this is going to be a very difficult task, but it is what God wants you to do, and He will give you the strength and courage to make the effort.
Let me say up front, you are not responsible for the actions of anyone else, only your own. You cannot force a relationship with someone who refuses to accept you. But you can, and God requires you, to make the effort. At that point, it is in His hands. He is the one who has to move on the other person’s heart.
Much like in witnessing, you can never force someone to get saved. But God requires you to give them the opportunity, and after that, it is up to the power of the Holy Spirit to move on that person’s heart.
I am not going to elaborate very much today, because the challenge God has for you is very simple, very straightforward. God is asking you to make the effort to reconcile with someone that you are not on good terms with during this time.
Forget the rea! sons that
you are fighting, forget what has happened in the past, make the effort in Christ-like love. At that point, you have done what God has asked you to do, and it is then up to the other person to respond.
I know this is not easy, and in many cases will be very painful. I will be praying for you. I will be praying for His strength, words, and love to be with you in a way like you never have known before. God is love. It is His desire to see His children love one another. What better act of humility than to obey God’s voice and make the effort to reconcile your relationship with that family member you are separated from!
I love you and care about you so much. I will be praying today specifically for you to heed this challenge and to be obedient to God’s voice. I want to see you be all God has raised you up to be. One way you can do that, is by doing those things in life, even the painful things, that you know God expects you to do.
You will ! be
surprised how much can be accomplished just by making the effort. The problems won’t immediately disappear, they won’t wipe away years of pain, but God is able to heal and restore relationships. God is a God of reconciliation and restoration! That is His desire for you today!
In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
