Faith without Works is Dead

(James 2:17)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, YOU are my provider. You know my daily needs. You promised to care what I need each day for life….food, shelter, clothing. I put my trust in you. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and I come to you today to thank you for providing for my needs in the past, and knowing my needs today. Today, I come to you, asking you to meet those needs as I glorify you for your provision. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

Faith without works is dead. So often when we are going through a difficult time, people tell us to “have faith”, to “just trust God”. They say it as if God was some magician who snaps His fingers and automatically makes everything OK. While God has that power, and while God will use that power at times, God normally works through people and events. We rarely get in a mess overnight, and rarely are going to get out of a mess overnight.

Part of the “getting out” process is learning how to become totally dependent on Him. It is learning how to make our faith real. It is learning how to work in conjunction with our faith. True faith, Biblical faith, requires action. It is easy to say the words, but putting your actions behind the words is what real faith is all about.

One of the greatest examples from God’s Word of someone putting their actions to their faith was David. He not only had the faith that he could go out on the battlefield and defeat Goliath…He actually did it! You see my friend, if we really believe something, our natural response is to put actions to that belief. While most thought David was being foolhardy to go out and face Goliath, in David’s mind that was the only logical thing to do.

After all, His faith told Him that God would defeat this Philistine giant, and David was simply going to be God’s instrument. That is what our faith demands….ACTION. It is simply not good enough to say I believe. If you really believe, the only logical step is to step out and live that belief.

Why we don’t put actions to our faith simply boils down to the fact that we really don’t believe what we claim to believe. The true test of our faith is our willingness to step out and back up those words with our actions. One of the most difficult things to do for each one of us, and the one area the church has always had a major problem teaching, is taking our faith and making it real in our day to day lives.

Saying we believe one thing, and then living in opposition to that, makes me question how much you really believe in what you claim. The bottom line is if you really believe it, you live it! The translation of our faith in Jesus Christ into our every day life becomes the real test of our walk with the Lord. The world clearly understands this concept. One of the biggest reasons people in the world reject the message of Christ is because they hear Christians profess one thing and then live in opposition to that profession. The visible hypocrisy becomes a major stumblingblock to many people.

How do we do a better job of putting actions to our faith? It is a process that builds day upon day, month upon month, year upon year. Look at the basis of David’s faith when he went out to fight Goliath. He told Saul that in the past when guarding his fathers sheep, he had to defend them from a bear and lion. In both cases the Lord gave David victory. He said it so perfectly when he told Saul that the same God who gave him victory over the lion and bear, is the same God who would give him victory over Goliath.

I say to you today, that the same God who has given you victory in the past, is the same God who will give you victory today!!! It is upon that foundation that you should boldly walk out your faith each day…put actions to your faith each day!!!

I love you and care for you so much. I will be praying for you today that you will begin to put actions to your faith. Make your faith come alive in your day to day activities. The Lord will help you to have more faith each day as you watch Him work in your life. Your faith will grow, giving you even more courage to live each day for Him.

My friend, this becomes one of the benchmarks of our Christian experience. It is simply not enough to believe. It is simply not enough to say that you have faith. Real faith, Biblical faith, REQUIRES action on our part. It requires us to live out our faith each and every day. I will be praying today that you will make your faith real each day as you live your life for Jesus.

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Men May Change but God Doesn’t

(Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Lord, thank you for meeting my daily needs as you have promised in your Word. I look to you and your alone for my sustenance through life, and thank you for your faithfulness. Please help me to be a good steward of the funds you entrust into my care during this life, and give me favor in my finances, and wisdom in my decisions. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

Immutable is one of those $5 theological words that describes an attribute of God. It is one of those attributes that allows us to keep our faith and trust in Him daily. It simply means ?without change?. That is why we can boldly say the same God who brought you through the storm 3 months ago, is the same God who will bring you through the storm today. He doesn’t change. That is why we can have confidence each day that God loves us. He doesn’t change. It is the fact that God never changes that gives us the ability to go to 1 John 1:9 when we sin and KNOW that He will forgive us and cleanse us. Part of the foundation of our faith is this wonderful truth that GOD NEVER CHANGES.

The challenge I want to give you today is this. Take a few minutes and get alone in a quiet place. Get some paper and a pen. Make a list of the following categories: DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST , CHURCH FELLOWSHIP SERVING GOD, SPOUSE (if applicable), CHILDREN (if applicable), MOM, DAD, BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND (if applicable), FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS, SCHOOL/WORK, FINANCIAL, HEALTH, RECREATION/HOBBIES, BONDAGES (such as alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, etc.). Now in each category, simply jot down notes as to where you were in this area 10 years ago, 5 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago, and where you are now. Be honest, this is between you and God.

The point of this exercise will be apparent very quickly. WE change. We are not immutable. Unfortunately, much of our change is for the worst and not the better. It doesn’t happen overnight but over a period of time just like the tide that slowly rolls in. It isn’t even something we notice most of the time. Looking over your paper when you are done, will clearly focus you on those areas of your life that you need to work on and make some changes in. This may seem like a waste of time, but trust me, God is speaking to you loud and clear as you read these words. He is trying to get your attention.

The 10 minutes it will take you to do this can be the difference between your relationship with Christ being all it can be or having little life in it. It can be the difference between a better marriage or divorce. It can be the difference between having good health or constant battles in that area. I am not trying to be over-dramatic but the way we change over time, the subtle ways we change without even being aware of it, can lead to many of the problems you are dealing with today. These could be some of the most profitable minutes ever as the Lord reveals to you those areas of your life that need to be worked on.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize many will resist this exercise for many reasons. Ultimately though it is because the enemy will try to stop you from having to face in black and white those things in your life that need changing. We get comfortable in our lives even when they aren’t they way they should be. We get comfortable living with sin. It is like having a mouse in your house. You can’t catch it, and may even get to a point where you will try and live with it. My friend, it is time for a Holy Ghost extermination of those things in your life that shouldn’t be there. The only thing keeping you from all the wonderful blessings God has for your life is YOU.

I will be praying this weekend that you will take the time to pray, put your life on paper, see those areas that you have moved away from God in, and give yourself a real and precise focus. I talk about game plans as a way of overcoming sin in our life. Once you complete this, you will then have identified those areas that need work. The next step is to formulate a game plan in order to get where God wants you to be in every area of your life. It won’t be easy. It won’t happen overnight but over time, working faithfully daily, and in the strength He can supply, you will see victory.

We can be thankful today that our God NEVER changes. We do. Now is the time to see the areas of your life that need to be changed for the glory of God!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Why is Everyone So Upset that A Baby was Killed at An Abortion Clinic?

(Psalms 139:13-15, Jeremiah 1:4-5)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Father, I pray, today, for each person who is reading these words. You know exactly where they are at today financially. I pray that whatever they have today is multiplied many times over in the coming weeks and months. Bless them in the area of their finances, Father, so that they may not only care for their day-to-day needs of those they are responsible for, but so that they may feed the poor around the world, those who are materially poor as well as those who are spiritually poor. I pray, today, a prayer of BLESSING on the finances of the person reading these words. Whatever we have in this life comes from you and is yours Father. May we be faithful in managing what you have given to us. Multiply many times over what you have currently given to the person reading this word today and allow them to be a great blessing to the work of God throughout the world. I pray BLESSINGS over the finances of the person reading these words today for the glory of Almighty God. In the name of Jesus. Amen!

Why is everyone so upset a baby was killed at an abortion clinic? What do you think happens in an abortion clinic??? BABIES ARE SLAUGHTERED!!! We also know they are cut into pieces and their parts sold for profit for “medical research!” Why did the Pope not clearly state the this nation is involved in infanticide!!!!

The funny thing is, the baby killing doctor had his medical license revoked by the state of Florida for “malpractice.” Even more ironic are those in the pro-death movement who are denouncing the death of this baby as a horrible tragedy. Give me a break! The pro death movement, led by our new President Barack Hussein Obama supports 4,000 horrible tragedies in this nation every 24 hours!!!!

Back in 2006, a teenager who was 23 weeks pregnant went to a Miami-area abortion clinic. She was given drugs to dilate her cervix, and waited hours for the abortion doctor to arrive. During that time, she actually gave birth to her baby. With the doctor still not around, a clinic worker cut the umbilical cord, put the baby (LIVING HUMAN BEING) in a bag, and threw it in the garbage. I challenge you the next time you take out your garbage to remember that in this nation we put no more value on a human life than we do a sack of trash!!!

I am grateful this story has come to the light of day. It shows clearly what happens in these abortion mills. Babies are murdered in these places! What happened that day in Miami is no different than want happens 4,000 times a day across this nation!!! This pathetic excuse for a “doctor” should not have had his license to practice medicine revoked, he should be in PRISON FOR MURDER ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER “DOCTOR” WHO KILLS BABIES!!!

The reality is, in the United States, the life of a dog is worth more than the life of a human being! In the United States in the year 2009, it is illegal to kill a dog but legal to kill a baby! Let me say that one more time since I want this FACT to really sink in. In the United States in the year 2009, it is illegal to kill a dog, but legal to kill a baby! WOW! Does that fact show just how spiritually bankrupt we are as a nation? Want more? The ex- quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons and now with Pittsburg, Michael Vick, went to prison for killing dogs, yet every single day all over this nation, “doctors” are slaughtering 4,000 babies and going home to their families at the end of the day.

Why abortion IS a big deal. I am getting sick and tired of people telling me to stop talking about abortion. I am getting even more sick and tired of people like Rick Warren and others on the “religious left” who say talking about abortion is too divisive and that we need to stick to issues most people agree on like poverty and AIDS in Africa. I fully understand why people don’t want to talk about abortion. INFANTICIDE is not a pleasant subject! But we can’t just be silent and act like it doesn’t exist, especially when every 24 hours another 4,000 innocent babies are being slaughtered in this nation!!!

I would love to stop talking about abortion. Let’s get the US Govt out of the baby killing business and let each state decide whether they want to kill babies in their state. This will not end abortion, but it will at least not allow men and women treat it any longer like a trip to the dentist to have a cavity filled! It will also cause the adoption industry to be reformed so adopting a child doesn’t require 5 lawyers, 6 years, and the amount of money it costs to by a small home. It will also cause the church to start taking responsibility for putting together programs to help deal with babies that need to be cared for and placed in the home of a loving mother and father.

However, until we get to that place, I refuse to be silent and it is a subject that MUST be talked about. Every time there is some sort of natural disaster with people dying, the news media is all over the story. Any death is sad, but it always makes me wonder why so much is made of 5, 10, 50 people tragically losing their life, and nobody even thinks about the fact that every 24 hours we murder apx 4,000 innocent babies in this nation. I am virtually certain that there are only a handful of people out of the several million who will read these words today, that even stopped for a second to reflect that in the last day we killed 4,000 babies in this country. We have become so desensitized, have come to accept abortion to the point we don’t even think about it any longer.

Here is why abortion IS a big deal. Did you ever wonder if there is a correlation between the fact we started to legally kill babies in this nation in 1973, about the same time we began to see a massive spiritual decline in his nation? Coincidence? I think not! Just like in our individual lives, our nations blessings are tied to our obedience to God. Legally killing babies is a big deal since how can we ever expect God to bless a land that is flooded with the blood of incident babies?

I know that it is not politically correct to talk about abortion any longer. Sadly, very few nationally known pastors will EVER talk about this issue. It is bad for their business. Those who now make up this growing group known as the religious left who fill their churches with the seeker/purpose driven/emerging church watered down message don’t like this issue since it hurts their marketing efforts for warm bodies. Except for a handful of brave Catholic bishops and priests, you hear virtually nobody in the marketplace taking a stand against this blatant act of murder.

I have been saying for years that this one issue alone is enough to bring down God’s wrath and judgment on this nation. Sadly, President Bush squandered our last real opportunity we may ever have to deal with this issue politically. President Obama is a stanch defender of the practice of infanticide. He is a hero to those in the pro death movement. The business of killing babies around the world will flourish under Obama.

Those who defend him state that it is the law, that he is only upholding the law. The fact is, he has voted 100% of the time during his political career to uphold the legalized killing of babies. If he truly believed in life, he could have voted to make abortion illegal and work towards that end. I contend that any politician who votes to uphold abortion has the blood of innocent babies on their hands and is truly an evil person!!!

As a side note. For those in the pro death movement who want to make believe this is about women’s health rights, that is a bunch of garbage. This is about the LIFE OF A HUMAN BEING! I agree a woman has the right to do whatever she wants with her body, BUT NOT THE BODY OF SOMEONE ELSE! That baby may be inside her, but it is still a separate human life created by God!

I love you and care about you so much. I refuse to be bullied into silence on what is by far the most critical spiritual issue there is. You simply can’t close your eyes and act like this brutal act of murder doesn’t exist. I see the Hollywood crowd and people who normally spit in the face of God get so upset about the atrocities in Darfur and other places on the globe. Why aren’t these same people as upset with the fact every 24 hours we slaughter 4,000 innocent babies??? Where is their outrage about that???

On the Liveprayer.com homepage, we have a special 55 second video clip of an actual abortion being performed. If you have not watched it, YOU MUST! This is what happens to over 4,000 innocent babies EVERY DAY in this nation! Since God led me to get this footage and put it on the website nearly two years ago, we have had over 3,000 emails from women who were contemplating having an abortion, watched the video, and changed their mind (Watch the incredible testimony of baby Delilah also on that same link).

Despite the several death threats and scathing emails I get every month just from having that video on my website, I want the world to see what really happens to millions of babies here in the United Sates and around the world every year. Abortion is a big deal since it not only kills 1.5 million babies in this nation alone, but it is already bringing down the wrath and judgment of God on this nation for practicing infanticide, unless you are as spiritually blind as our leaders in Washington who think they can fix the problem. The only way to fix the problem is to stop killing babies and turn back to God and His Truth!!!

One of the Most Difficult Things in Our Journey with the Lord is Follow Him Where He Wants Us

(Psalms 123:2, 40:1; Isaiah 40:31; James 1:4)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, help me to be a blessing to someone I meet today. Help me to not be so self-absorbed that I miss the opportunity to be a good witness for you. Today, I yield myself to you. Use me for your glory! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

No doubt one of the most difficult things we do in our journey with the Lord is follow Him to be where He wants us to be, and doing what He wants us to be doing. I have no doubt that it is the ultimate goal of every follower of Christ, everyone that has surrendered their lives to Christ. Having that as our goal, achieving that goal is something EVERY Christian struggles with throughout their life. The million dollar question is how do we get to the exact place God wants us to be, doing the exact thing God wants us to be doing with our life each day.

To find the answer, we have to start with the big picture. Each person that lives was created with the same purpose. That is to serve and glorify God, in this life and for eternity. The starting point of being where God wants you to be, doing the things God wants you to do is in surrendering your life completely, unconditionally to Him. It is the one and only thing that God has ever asked us to do. The fact is, the Bible says that if you have accepted Christ as your Savior, it is no longer your life, it belongs to Him. So in reality, you are only surrendering to Him what is already His to begin with.

Completely surrendering our life to the Lord is one of the most difficult things for any person to do. Our flesh says NO, it is MY LIFE. Satan is there with his lie that you can give God a little bit of your life, but also keep some for yourself. Jesus said that you can’t serve two masters, you have to choose who you will serve. The fact is, it is in LOSING our life that we find it. Many people have tried living with one foot in the church, and one foot in the world. I know I did for many years. I bought into satan’s lie that I could go to church on Sunday, give the church a big check every week, do a few things on the side for God, but still keep my life and do whatever I WANTED. I am ashamed to admit that it took going to Federal Prison before I finally surrendered my life completely to the Lord.

The rich young ruler came to Jesus and when Jesus told him to give away all that he had and follow Him, to turn from the things of this world and completely surrender his life to Christ, the Bible says he went away “sorrowful.” When it came time to choose following Jesus or keeping the things of this world, he decided he could not let go of the things of this world. As Jesus said, YOU CAN’T SERVE TWO MASTERS! You can’t serve God and mammon at the same time. God isn’t impressed with our “scraps of service,”God wants our life! You will NEVER be right where God wants you to be, doing exactly what God wants you to do with your life until you first surrender your life 100% to Him?not 70%, not 80%, not 90%, not even 99% . . . 100%!!!

Once you come to that place where you completely surrender your life to Christ, the challenge then is to find out exactly where God wants you to be, and doing exactly God wants you to do in serving Him. The starting place is to determine what you have a passion for and what are you talented in. It is God that gives each person a passion for those things we love in life. It is also God that gives us our gifts and talents. That is why those young adult years are so critical. It is during those years that as we are exposed to different things, we develop a like for some things over others, and start to understand the gifts God has given to us.

GOD GIVES EVERYONE GIFTS, NATURAL ABILITY IN CERTAIN AREAS, BUT WE STILL MUST DEVELOP AND PERFECT THOSE GIFTS OVER TIME. In addition to gaining an understanding about what things in life we have a passion for, finding our what our natural gifts are, God will open and close doors during our life to guide us where HE wants us to be. Remember, there are NO coincidences with God. Nothing happens by accident. God allows events to happen in our life, allows people to come into our life, to guide us to where He wants us to be, doing what He wants us to be doing.

I love you and care about you so much. After completely surrendering our life to the Lord, the most important thing we can do is spend time with HIM each day in prayer and the Word. God speaks to us through His living Word, through that “still small voice” as we pray, in addition through other people and our circumstances. As our lives are yielded to the Lord, become empty vessels for Him to use, God WILL place you right where He wants you to be, doing exactly what He wants you to be doing.

Never forget, our life is made up of many seasons. Throughout the course of our journey God may have us doing MANY things for the Kingdom. That is why we must be close to the Lord each day, listening to Him with our spiritual ears and watching Him with our spiritual eyes. We are soldiers in HIS army, and as any soldier knows, your commander may have you fighting in one place today and somewhere totally new tomorrow.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that you will take time to meditate on these words. The last element is patience, WAITING ON THE LORD. Again, it is God who opens and closes doors in our life. There are times we need to be patient, wait on the Lord to not only show us a door, but open that door. The goal of every follower of Christ is to be where God wants us to be, doing what God wants us to do with our life. We achieve that goal by first surrendering our life completely to the Lord, by following those God-given passions while using the gifts He gives us, by staying in a close intimate daily relationship with Him so we can ?hear? and ?see? Him, and be patiently waiting on the Lord to guide us.

The ultimate in life is to wake us each day knowing you are exactly where God wants you to be and doing exactly what God wants you to be doing with your life. I will be praying for you today as you come to that place in your life.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

We Wake Up Each Day and Face the Choice of Who We Will Serve that Day

(Judges 13:24, 14:3, 16:1, 16:21, 16:30)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please help me to live this day honoring you in my thoughts, words, and deeds. Help me this day to live my life pleasing and acceptable to Jesus. Allow me to use my life to help someone else during this day, and be kind to everyone I come across no matter how they may treat me. Let Christ shine through me throughout this day oh Lord, be glorified through my life! In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!

No matter long you have been saved, no matter how greatly God is using your life, the fact is that we each wake up in the morning and face the choice of who we will serve that day. I have used the life of Samson in various opportunities that I have had over my years in the ministry when I was speaking to pastors or men’s groups. But Samson’s life is very applicable for this message today, in regards to the choices that you will make today and every day, as to exactly WHO you will serve.

Samson was miraculously born to a mother who was unable to conceive a child. He was dedicated to God’s service even before he was conceived. While many may scoff at this, I have known many women who were unable to have children, but after much prayer and seeking God, their once barren womb brought forth life! Just in the short 30 months Liveprayer has been on line, we have had two such births that I can recall off of the top of my head. Samson was dedicated to the Lord’s service, grew up being taught all about God, and the Bible says that the Spirit of God was upon his life.

One of the points that I want to stress today is that here was a man, dedicated to God even before he was conceived, raised in the “church” of his day, and had a heart so close to God that the Bible even says God’s Spirit was upon him. DESPITE THIS, SAMSON, JUST LIKE YOU AND I, WOKE UP EVERY MORNING AND HAD TO MAKE CHOICES THROUGHOUT THE DAY WHO HE WOULD SERVE!

The Bible says that the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy. If you have accepted Christ into your heart by faith, the Bible says that you are saved (John 3:16; Romans 10:10; Ephesians 2:8-9). However, even though the devil can’t have your eternal soul, he can destroy your life, steal the joy, peace, and abundance Jesus promised those who followed Him would know during our brief journey here, and kill us literally.

I have known many great men and women of God over the years, who allowed sin in their life to consume them to the point of death. One dear brother got into the bondage of drug addiction and died from an overdose. One pastor I know looked to alcohol instead of the Lord in times of trouble, and alcohol eventually destroyed his life, and he died much earlier then he should have because of it. One sister, who did many great things for God, allowed the enemy to throw her into a state of depression to the point that she took her own life.

SATAN IS NOT THE CLASS CLOWN, SOME MISCHIEVOUS PARTY ANIMAL THAT LOVES TO HAVE FUN. SATAN IS A VERY REAL ENEMY WHO PLAYS FOR KEEPS AND IS OUT TO DESTROY THE LIFE OF THE CHILD OF GOD, STEAL ALL OF THE GOOD THINGS THAT THIS LIFE CAN OFFER, AND LITERALLY HELP YOU MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL KILL YOU! HE IS NOT PLAYING GAMES!

As you read through the life of Samson, as he went through life, he chose to turn from God and serve the enemy. Samson knew how God felt about being unequally yoked with nonbelievers. Samson knew God’s plan for marriage. Samson knew God forbids sex outside of marriage. Yet Samson’s weakness was women, women who did not know or honor God in their life.

The enemy is persistent. He will tempt the child of God over and over and over until he finds the weakness in their life. Samson’s weakness was women. Each day, just like you and me, he had to choose who he would serve that day. As much as the anointing of God was on his life, even though he served God in miraculous ways, even though God used him to bless many, IT WAS SAMSON WHO HAD TO MAKE THE CHOICE EACH DAY WHOM HE WOULD SERVE.

Over and over, Samson chose sin over God. Over and over, God showed his love and grace to Samson and gave him chances to straighten his life out. But Samson took God’s grace and mercy for granted, refused to turn from his sin, and it was his sin that ultimately destroyed his life, stole all of the blessings God had for him, and ultimately killed him.

Let me encourage you today. If you have chosen to serve sin, have allowed things to enter into your life that God does not approve of, TODAY is the day that you can stop. Is it that easy? NO WAY! It will be the hardest thing that you have ever done. But if you take the first step, God will strengthen you and help you to turn away from sin, and back to Him.

THE CHOICE THAT YOU MAKE TODAY COULD LITERALLY SAVE YOUR LIFE, BUT IT IS A CHOICE THAT YOU MUST MAKE. NOBODY CAN MAKE IT FOR YOU.

I love you and care for you so much. God loves you and cares for you even more. Each day, He gives you the choice to love Him and serve Him. Even those who have loved Him and served Him for many years, STILL each day must make that choice. I pray today that you learn from Samson’s life and choose God. Each day I get hundreds of emails from people all over the world, saying that what I write is intolerant, it isn’t for “today”, that there is nothing wrong with doing what we want.

They simply don’t understand that God loves us SO MUCH, that He sent His word to encourage us and guide us along our journey here. How He shows us to live our life is not to keep us from enjoying our life, but to know the peace, joy, and abundance that this life can offer. But He loves us enough to give us the free will to choose each day whether we will serve Him or not. That is a choice that I will make today, and it is a choice that YOU will make today. My prayer today is that you will choose to serve God.

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

(John 14:6)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Lord, thank you for meeting my daily needs as you have promised in your Word. I look to you and your alone for my sustenance through life, and thank you for your faithfulness. Please help me to be a good steward of the funds you entrust into my care during this life, and give me favor in my finances, and wisdom in my decisions. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

“I have had several days of sobriety from porn and am feeling like there is light at the end of the tunnel! Your email back to me has given me much hope to persevere and get free from this addiction. Even brothers in Christ can get cough by the enemy if one is not vigilant enough. Thank you and God bless you Bill.”

“In October of 2013, I was watching Bill Keller on TV. I never was religious and barely believed in God. A particular show made an impact on me and I took Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I have never once regretted and I have grown in my relgion and relationship with the Lord. I want to say ‘Thank you.’ Pastor Keller, you made a BIG difference in my life. God bless you!”

“I’ve been watching your program this week via the internet and I’ve given my heart and life to Jesus. I want the peace and joy in my heart that can only experienced through salvation. I thank the Lord tonight for loving me and dying for my sins so that I might be saved. Please send me the booklet that you spoke of on the show in order that I may grow in my Christian life.”

Paul wrote to his friends in Philippi, “Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid again and again when I was in need. Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account. I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

As I read that passage of Scripture, it reminded me of my feelings towards you and the work here at Liveprayer. Paul took the Gospel to the lost and hurting in the world of his day by faith, trusting that God would provide for the day to day needs of his ministry. He looked to those that he ministered to to support his efforts to take Christ to those who were living without His love in their life. THEY MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR PAUL TO DO WHAT GOD HAD CALLED HIM TO DO!

He reminded them that in their giving, they were not giving to Paul, but they were giving to God. It was their obedience and faithfulness that God would credit to their Heavenly account. Likewise, as you give to Liveprayer, you are not giving to Bill Keller, but you are giving to God. It is your obedience and faithfulness that God will credit to your Heavenly account. YOU MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO DO WHAT GOD HAS CALLED ME TO DO!

(From a member of the Liveprayer family) “Bill -You & your team have really been on my mind & in my thoughts. I strongly believe you’re doing things the right way, & it breaks my heart that because you give the gospel for free – because you’re out doing things God’s way – you don’t have financial support from the American church to get out in the secular marketplace & to go toe-to-toe with false prophets. My wife & I gave a gift today which isn’t close to meeting your needs or requirements, but I pray God blesses it with multiplication.

I want to encourage you – your blunt honesty & the fact you do things the right way (no professional fund raising companies, no buildings or extravagant salaries) are why we’re giving today. It’s time for me & other Christians to put our money where our mouths are & quit paying mortgages & utilities for big buildings. Please keep telling the truth, God’s truth!!! If the finances don’t come in, God forbid, and you are forced to close down any part of your ministry, you have done your part by being obedient before God. It would be the rest of us who failed.

Thank you for being on the front lines! Thank you for leading & feeding me spiritually, both in word & deed! I pray today that God move hearts in a powerful way and deliver far more money than you’ve asked for. May He raise up more faithful partners, freeing us from fear & making us better able to hear His commands and then, more importantly, obey them. I realized about a month ago that you are my preacher. Thank you for the daily word. I promise I will lift you up in prayer & give financially to LivePrayer. I pray our Lord bless you & keep you. In God’s love.”

As we are down to the final 5 days of September, we have taken in $7,000 of the $65,000 we require for our basic Internet and TV operations budget this month. $8,000 of our balance is from the first week’s operations that is required to be paid immediately as we had to use funds received from that first week to cover our August shorttfall!

With the weekend coming up, we will lose 2 days of the final 5 this month! I am praying today that everyone will pray for these financial requirements to be taken care of by the end of the month so we can begin October with no budget shortfall for Liveprayer.com or the Liveprayer TV program!

I am praying for 2 of our friends God has richly blessed to help me with a special one-time gift of $4,000 that will clear up the $8,000 we require immediately. EVERY MONTH GOD CALLS ON SEVERAL FRIENDS WHO HAVE OBEDIENTLY ANSWERED THAT CALL TO MAKE A GREAT SACRIFICE AND HELP WITH A SIGNIFICANT GIFT!

—>If there is ONE of our friends that may have had a windfall from selling real estate..a business..or has been praying about sowing a significant gift into God’s work..PLEASE PRAY about sending a gift of $58,000 to insure our required finances are current and we could use the gifts from the rest of this month to get a head start on October’s Internet and TV operations.

TO GIVE A GIFT TO LIVEPRAYER, you can use your major credit card on our secure server at: http://www.liveprayer.com under the “Donation” link, you can give using your PayPal account using my email address: bkeller@liveprayer.com , or you can mail your gift to: Liveprayer, 6660 46th Ave. North, St.Petersburg, FL 33709. All gifts to Liveprayer are 100% tax deductible.

I love you and care about you so much. For those who have been part of the Liveprayer family for these many years, you know that I would never send a Devotional like this unless it was an emergency. I don’t play games when it comes to the finances. For 23 yrs, the 16+ yrs of Liveprayer.com, and the 12+ yrs of Liveprayer TV, I have simply shared our needs, got on my knees, and trusted God by faith to move on the hearts of people to provide for our needs.

My friend, I am counting on you today. I need to hear from you today. This is critical, and I desperately need your help. We are so close to seeing the fulfillment of all Liveprayer has been raised up to be. I can’t see everything stop now over a few thousand dollars. Will you reach down, make the sacrifce, and help me today??? I desperately need you and will be in prayer for the Lord to move on your heart to help me!

I NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER TO STAND WITH ME!!! I CAN’T DO THIS ALONE!!! I am asking you today to simply pray about what God may be calling you to do to help me with this effort. I am also asking you to please forward this to every person you know, personally reach out to those who God has blessed with financial resources and encourage them to support this new work, and share this email with your pastor and ask him to pray about having your church make a special missions gift towards this effort.

Know that you and your family are in my prayers each day. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support as we take our stand in these last days. When this brief journey through life is over, what do we have to show for it? The only lasting legacy we have are those things we did for the Lord, those lives we have been able to impact for eternity! I have taken my stand and will proclaim His truth with my dying breath. Today, I am asking you to pray about continuing to stand with me at this critical time as we turn this nation back to God and His Truth!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

What about When God Asks You to Do Something for Him?

(Genesis 12:1-3; Matthew 9:9)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, help me to always be prepared to serve you in any way that I can. My life belongs to you. I am ready, willing, and able to answer your call as I go through my life each day. Use me for your glory. I am yours! In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

Every day people ask us to do things for them. Family members, friends, co-workers, often total strangers ask us to do something for them. In the course of our daily lives, the people that mean the most to us will ask us to do something special for them. It may be a parent or a sibling, it may be our spouse, it may be a very close friend, or it could be someone that we look up to and respect like our boss or pastor. All throughout our life people ask us to do things for them, and we do our best to do what they ask.

What about when God asks you to something for Him? Why are we able to do things for others but not for God? I have often wondered how many God called to do the job that Abraham did. Human beings have not changed since the Garden of Eden. Knowing that fact, I have no doubt that God called many men before He called Abraham who said yes to God.

Likewise, when Jesus called Matthew to follow Him, how many before Matthew said no? Throughout history we have men and women that God called to do great things for the Kingdom. I often wonder who God may have called to do that work, but turned God down.

Some of the most disappointing times in my life have been those when God was calling me to do something for Him and I said no. I was too busy. It wasn’t the right time. I had MY SCHEDULE and what God was asking me to do didn’t fit in. God really didn’t need me, He would find someone else. There are a million excuses that we can come up to basically tell God NO.

In looking back now, how could I have ever said no to God? This is GOD!!! The creator of the Heavens and the earth. MY CREATOR!!! God Himself came to me and said, ?Bill, will you do something for me?? and I said, NO! If a complete stranger came up to me and asked me to do something for them, as long as it was not something outrageous I would most likely do it. Yet, I tell God no???

I love you and care about you so much. The sad reality is that when we say no to God, we are the one that loses. God blesses us for our obedience. When we say no to God we miss our blessing. Our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify Him. When we say no to God, we are not fulfilling our purpose.

The greatest calling we have in this life is what God asks us to do for Him. When we say no to God, we miss our calling. The reality is, when we say no to God, He calls someone else to do what He asked us to do. Someone else is answering the call of God on their life, fulfilling their purpose and receiving the blessing we could have had. The work of God does not stop because we say no to God. It simply goes on without us.

I will be praying for you today. As I say, often, we only get one shot at life. This is it. MAKE IT COUNT! The fact is, God has a Divine plan and purpose for each one of us. Our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify Him with our lives. There is nothing greater that we can do with our life than to serve our God. It is an honor and a privilege that He gives us to work for Him. In faithfully and obediently serving God, we are blessed beyond all that we could ever ask or think.

MAKE YOUR LIFE COUNT BY DOING SOMETHING GREAT FOR GOD! Before Abraham, Matthew, Billy Graham, or anyone else that God has used could do great things for God, they first had to say yes when He called them. God is speaking to YOU today. He is asking you to do something for Him. SAY YES TO GOD!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
