Facing the Battles in Your Life Each Day

(Joshua 6:8-20)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, give me your strength to stand for your Truth no matter what the cost. It is easy to call myself a follower of Jesus, but when confronted, when challenged, when faced with persecution, will I still say I am a follower of Jesus? I love you Lord and ask for your strength so no matter what I have to endure for my faith, I will stand firm. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

I get so many emails each day from people all over the world, who are in the midst of major battles in their life. They are desperate, looking for something magical to happen to make their circumstances different overnight. I pray that by now, you know how much I love you and care about you. I try to give myself each day to standing with you and helping you through the trials of everyday life.

This is one of those days that I need to use some tough love on you. So many of you have absolutely unrealistic expectations about resolving your problems, that you need someone to tell you the truth. I hear over and over each day people say, “God has abandoned me, He doesn’t love me or how could He make me go through this.” The fact is God has never left you, God loves you unconditionally, and you go through most of the battles in your life because you do not have a plan to win!

In today’s scripture, we read about the plan God gave Joshua to take the city of Jericho. Granted, it was an unusual plan, but it was a plan given by God, that when faithfully executed, worked. When the allies stormed the beaches of Normandy on DDay, do you think they just woke up one mooring and decided to give it a try? Absolutely not. The generals spent months planning, looking at all the different scenarios, strategizing, coming up with the best plan they could to win that important battle.

When you face the battles in your life each day, why do you think you can just wake up and wish those battles to go away? That is unrealistic. It is also unrealistic to think that God is some genie in the bottle you call on when in trouble to snap His fingers and make it all go away. The fact is, most of your battles didn’t just happen overnight, they developed over a period of time. Victory will probably not happen overnight either, it will take place over a period of time.

Let me interject that God can do anything, and if He, in His sovereign will, chooses to eliminate your problems overnight He CAN do that. However, that is normally not the way God works. He will make you work for victory because in the process several things occur. You learn how to be obedient, faithfully execute God’s plan for your life, and depend upon Him.

The question then becomes where do I get this plan? God gives us His plan for victory in many ways. This is again why it becomes critical to have that intimate daily relationship with Him. It is in that close daily contact through prayer, the Word, that He speaks to us. In our circumstances He speaks to us. Through the counsel of others He speaks to us. It is a combination of all the above that helps us formulate a gameplan, His plan to overcome and be victorious.

One important element I just mentioned was the counsel of others. God has placed mature, Godly people in our life strategically to help us overcome our battles. Drop your pride, and reach out to the wise counsel of others. let them know your struggles, ask them to help you formulate a viable plan to see victory. Once armed with the plan God gives you, it requires you to be like Joshua. Faithfully and obediently follow the plan. Trust God, put your faith in Him, He won’t let you down.

I will be praying today that these words find a fertile resting place in your hearts and minds today. Focus today on spending time with the Lord to formulate a gameplan to gain victory over whatever battles you might be fighting today. God will give you the plan, than it is up to you to follow the plan. There really is victory in Jesus. He has won the victory over whatever battle you are facing 2000 years ago on Calvary.

It is time to start living your life in that victory. It is tough for God to use defeated soldiers to fight the spiritual battles each day. That is why it is critical to get victory in your life, so that you can lead others to victory. May your number one priority today be getting a plan from God to win the battles you are facing in your life, execute the plan faithfully, and as my signature scripture from 1 Corinthians 15:57 says, “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

ISIS is Taking Advantage of the Failure of the Breakdown of Families

(Isaiah 48:10; 1 Peter 1:7; 4:12)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, this nation is under your judgment for our sin, wickedness, and rebellion. Help me to be courageous as I stand for you in these perilous times. Use me as a beacon of your light in the darkness of our world today. Though our enemies surround us, the world around me curses you, help me to stand for your Truth that will ultimately defeat the lies of satan. May the evil of this world become so apparent, people will begin to bow their knee to you in repentance knowing YOU are their only hope and only answer! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

ISIS is taking advantage of the failure of the breakdown of families and churches to find converts to their “evil!” It is not a matter of if, only when, the next attack in the United States occurs. Based on the reports from our intelligence community and the high degree of hatred for the United States by very organized and well funded Islamic groups overseas, it is clear that there will be ongoing acts of terror on U.S. soil. They aren’t going to stop any time soon!

Since 9/11, there have been over 400 attempted acts of terror on our soil. Other than Ft. Hood, Boston, and a few very isolated cases, the rest of these attempts have been thwarted or unsuccessful in their completion. That has been due to God’s protection as well as the incredible efforts by our intelligence and law enforcement communities who deserve our appreciation and prayers. However, there is a new threat to our homeland that will make it very difficult for many future attacks to be stopped.

That new threat is the “homegrown terrorist.” Primarily, this new generation of terrorist is being recruited, radicalized, and inspired to commit acts of terror against innocent people over the internet. ISIS and other Islamic groups in the past 5 years have learned how to use the internet to raise up sympathizers and soldiers to their evil cause in nations around the world, including the United States.

This new breed of terrorist is the most dangerous because even though they will be limited in the size of the act they can commit, the fact they are looking to behead police officers, kill innocent people at public events (like the Boston Marathon) or in public places (like the thwarted car bomb in Times Square), the ability of law enforcement to keep track of so many individual actors simply isn’t possible.

So far, virtually all of these “lone wolves” in the United States have either been Muslims or black men who have converted to Islam. For decades now, Islam has aggressively recruited in the state and federal prisons around this nation, targeting black inmates. Those efforts and the terror groups today have focused primarily on disenfranchised young black men who are looking for “family,” “belonging,” “and “purpose.” Islam has used the same incentives that local street gangs have used for decades to find and inspire new recruits. Those efforts have become much easier in the past 30 years with the high percentage of breakdown of marriage and the family, especially in our impoverished communities.

This is why back in late April on my TV program I shared the one and only TRUE answer to the problems in the inner cities whether it be Ferguson, Baltimore, Chicago, or ANYWHERE! It is a rebuke and call to the pastors in those neighborhoods to quit auditioning to be the next “faux rev” Sharpton, that they are NOT to be community activists, but MEN OF GOD LEADING THEIR CHURCH AND NEIGHBORHOODS AS SPIRITUAL LEADERS! Please post this link on all of your social media and email it to every person you know! Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xfpCuzgHYQ

In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, people desperately turned to God for answers. Churches were overflowing and prayer was everywhere. There was a spiritual awakening as people realized just how fragile this life really is, and countless lives were committed to Christ. However, just five short months later, church attendance is back to where it was pre-9/11, prayer is not as important any longer, and people are focused once again on the things of this world without much concern for God and their spiritual lives.

It is sad how it takes a real crisis to get people to pay attention to God. But people have not changed. When we read the Old Testament, we read how the children of Israel would run to God when their enemies attacked. God would help them gain victory, which would be followed by a season of peace and prosperity. It was during that time of peace and prosperity that the children of Israel would start to forget God and fall into all types of sin. Soon, their enemies would attack again, and they would once again run to God. It was an often repeated cycle.

Sadly, we are the same as the children of Israel. When the trials and tribulations of life come upon us, we run to God. We find solace in Him during our time of trouble. But soon the trouble passes, and there is a time of peace in our lives. Sadly, during the times of peace, we slowly move away from God and often end up involved in sin of some kind. The storms of life come upon us, and once again we run to the Lord for help. And just like the children of Israel, the cycle is repeated over and over during the course of our life.

I love you and care about you so much. My word for you today is to run to God NOW! Even if you are in that season of peace, stay close to Him. Just because people are not blowing up buildings and killing innocent people this very moment does not mean that we can relax and put God on the back burner. Those days are coming sooner than most realize since while this current administration downplays the evil of Islam, it is on full display in many places around the world, and soon to be on full display here!!!

Only God knows the time of Christ’s return. The Bible says it will be in the “twinkling of an eye.” But the indicators Jesus gave us in Matthew chapter 24, and Paul gives us in 2 Timothy Chapter 3, and 2 Peter Chapter 3, all show us that we are living in the last days. The time is running out. That is why the people of God MUST NOT be passive at this time. We can’t simply wait for the next incident to share Christ with this lost and hurting world.

If you had the knowledge right this moment, that the next attack on the United States would be at Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida one week from today, what would you do? No doubt you would call all of the proper authorities and when the date and time for the attack came, that entire area would be evacuated. Nobody would be killed because you cared enough to share the information you had.

Well, the fact is, the Bible clearly says that those who die without Christ will be destined to everlasting separation from God their creator. They will be lost for eternity. The people of God possess the information that can save people from everlasting darkness. Now if someone chooses to not listen, there is nothing you can do. But how can you not at least take the time to tell them? That is a responsibility EVERY child of God has and must take seriously.

I will pray today that you don’t allow the peace that we are currently experiencing make you lazy, and forget those around you who are looking for answers in their life. I have no doubt that future attacks on our nation are imminent, but I pray that we don’t wait until the next crisis to be serious about sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ with everyone God brings into our life. After all, that is what God has asked us to do, and it is the only answer for each person, just like it is the only answer for this nation!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

To Obey is Better than Sacrifice

(1 Samuel 15:22)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please guide my steps this day. Help me to walk in your light and strength and not in my own ways. Thank you for your many blessings, most that I take for granted. Help me this day to acknowledge your love, grace, and goodness as I live my life for you and do my best to glorify you in all of my thoughts, words, and deeds. This I ask in the name of Jesus. AMEN!

The Bible teaches us that to “obey is better than sacrifice.” What an incredible truth this verse is for our day to day lives. It supports the verses of Ephesians 2:8 and 9 that tells us that our salvation is by faith and NOT of works. While God is concerned about what we do with our lives, the fruit that we can produce for the Kingdom from our efforts, He is first and foremost concerned with our obedience. You see, our obedience flows from a heart that is yielded to Him, a life that is surrendered to do HIS will and not OUR will.

This very day you will have a chance to obey or rebel against God. In reality, during the course of any given day there are many opportunities that we consciously choose to obey or rebel against God. But I want to focus on the very next decision that you have to make after reading these words. IT IS NO ACCIDENT THAT GOD HAS ALLOWED YOU TO READ THESE WORDS. GOD IS PREPARING YOU FOR THE VERY NEXT DECISION THAT YOU WILL MAKE WHERE YOU CAN EITHER OBEY HIM, OR NOT.

The life of King Saul is a very sad commentary of someone that God anointed in a great way and chose to rebel against God. King Saul lived with the same free will that God gives to all of us. He had to make choices each day to obey or rebel against God. Sadly, there are ALWAYS consequences for our rebellion. These consequences come in many forms but there is always a price to pay when we choose not to obey God.

Likewise, blessings will always follow our obedience to God. The greatest blessing of all is that peace that passes all human understanding we receive when we are living our lives the way God has asked us to. When we are living for Him, making choices that honor God, there is a peace and joy that you could never put a price on.

I love you and care about you so much. Today’s Devotional is a special warning for you to be aware of the choices that you will make today. You will have many opportunities today to choose to obey God, or rebel against God. I will be praying that you will make the choice to obey God. To set aside your will, your desires, for His will and His desires.

Jesus promised His followers a life of abundance. That abundance comes from living a life pleasing and acceptable to God. God loves us so very much. Like any parent, He only wants the best for us. When He asks us to obey Him, it is not for HIS good, but for OUR good.

In the Old Testament, many of God’s children were quick to offer up sacrifices to Him, yet their hearts were far away from Him. They honored Him with their lips but God saw their hearts. We obey God out of our love for Him. All of our good works, our good deeds have little meaning to God if our hearts are not right.

When we have surrendered our lives to Him it is our DESIRE to love Him, and we show Him that love through our obedience. We can tell our mother or father how much we love them, but we SHOW that love through our obedience. God is the same way. We can sing praises to Him, do great works in His name, but it is our obedience that shows God how deep our love for Him really is.

As you go through the rest of this day, remember these words…TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE. You will be making a choice very shortly in which you can obey God, or rebel against Him. Show God how much you love Him today, and OBEY.

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

I Am at A Crossroads

(John 3:16, 14:6)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Father, please help me to be more like Jesus each day. Help me to be kind to others, to care about others, to share the hope of the Gospel with others. I love Jesus and my greatest desire is to be more like my Savior each day. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!!!

“Pastor Keller: Thank you for your message each day. More importantly, thank you for all that you are doing at Liveprayer, to bring God’s message of love and hope to the world each day. I have been reading your Daily Devotional messages since 2003. I read the Devotionals every morning, before I pray. The messages always help prepare me for my talk with God and time in prayer each day. Your daily messages have also been instrumental in helping me to maintain my Faith, to stay in prayer, lean on and refer to the Bible and God’s Word, and not give up, as I have gone through some extremely difficult times over the last 10-years. I have given to Liveprayer over the years, in both good times and bad, when possible. I pray today that God will multiply my humble offerings, as only He can, so that you can continue your work at Liveprayer, now and in the coming years. Please know that your tireless efforts and work at Liveprayer for the Lord is greatly appreciated, more than you know. In the name of Jesus, I am praying for Liveprayer and praying for your continued health, strength, and well being. Be blessed, Pastor Keller and thank you for all that you do!”

“Bill, I just want to thank you! I’ve known who God and Jesus are. But I was just asked last night when was I born again. Truth is I didn’t have an answer. I wanted to have an answer and came across your video and I accepted Him into my life. Now I can say when was I born without hesitating. Thanks!”

“Bill, Thank you for your thoughts and for caring. Every night when I kneel with my sons to pray you are lifted to God. You have been for so long that when these sons pray out loud, they speak to God of you by name. I know God will bless your ministry in the coming days. It is the only real hope I see.”

“Dear Bill, I’ve been the beneficiary of your strong, undiluted messages of truth for about seven years. During that time, you never waivered or hesitated to boldly share the truth of God.

It has been my privilege to help you financially as God has allowed me. I believe it might be easy for many of your Live Prayer recipients to fall into a state of complacency by thinking “some of the other millions of people will give … I don’t need to.” Well, we ALL need to give back! If every recipient gave $1 a month to receive the daily truth of God, you wouldn’t need to ‘beg’ each month for what is rightfully God’s money to support your ministry!

This month, I stepped out in faith to try to help ‘fill the gap’ for the January payment that threatened to shut down your ministry. Due to some clerical errors, my social security check stopped ($602/mo.) and I haven’t received a dime since last October! A supervisor at my local office went to bat for me in November but as yet, it looks like there will be no money forthcoming until March.

Fortunately I have been a good steward of what God has given me so I am able to pay my mortgage and other expenses. I know God will work all of this for His good but the point is … if I can give out of my circumstances, trusting God all the while, then others can surely give in their circumstances too!

Trusting in Jesus everyday!”

I am at a crossroads. God has always taken care of us over these 17 yrs. Without any support, I have to begin thinking that God is shutting the door, I have been wrong all along in simply telling the truth while those who compromise, sell false hope, were correct. I REFUSE to believe selling out is the answer!!!

n our greatest need, those who believe in the truth have rallied to keep us moving forward. NOW IS THE TIME!!! Without your help, Liveprayer will become dark! We have to bring in at least $55,000 by tomorrow just to continue!!!! This is no longer about me, it about YOU and what will YOU do to preserve one of the only places people can come to hear the TRUTH!!!

For those who have given, forgive me, since if we don’t bring in the minimal amount we need to continue, after 17 years at the end of August we will have to close down!!!

As I type these words tonight, I am at the end. Simply sustaining our daily operations is now a daily task. Simply paying for basic personal needs is becoming more difficult. For 25 years, I have literally sacrifice my life, my time, my talent, and my treasure to bring the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and HIS Truth boldly and without compromise into the marketplace, as very few are doing, virtually none at a national level in the secular media

Don’t think for a second I am not of flesh and blood and think about how I could have simply fallen into line like the rest. Gone on Christian TV, brought false hope into people’s lives, never talked about sin or the hell that awaits those who reject Jesus, compromise and take the money from cult members, and totally sold out the faith in order to be politically correct and generate tens of millions annually to live like a rock star.

However, at the end of this life, I will stand before God our Creator like each person will. I will give an account for my life. The one thing I can honestly say when I die is that I never wavered, I never backed down from telling people the raw Truth of His Word, and that I never hesitated to boldly declare the only hope for each man is faith in Jesus Christ. That my friend, will be my lasting testimony!!!

I come today asking you to help me. Over 17 years, Liveprayer has sent personal responses to over 100 MILLION emails. We still get over 40,000 a day. Tens of millions of live worldwide have been impacted. Over 1,000,000 we know of have come to faith in Jesus. THIS IS MY ETERNAL LEGACY AND MY TRACK RECORD OF SERVICE THESE PAST 17 YEARS!!!

MY JOB…OUR JOB…IS NOT FINISHED!!!

For those who have been part of the Liveprayer family for these many years, you know that I have never sent a Devotional like this unless it was an emergency. I don’t play games when it comes to the finances. I simply share our needs, get on my knees, and trust God to move on the hearts of people to provide for our needs. EACH MONTH I SIMPLY ASK OUR FRIENDS TO HELP ME PAY OUR OPERATIONS. NO BUILDINGS. NO PLANES. NO MANSIONS.

My friend, I am counting on you today. I need to hear from you today. This is critical, and I desperately need your help. We are so close to seeing the fulfillment of all Liveprayer has been raised up to be. I can’t see everything stop now over a few thousand dollars, even if it was a million dollars. Somebody will lose that tonight in Vegas. Will you reach down, make the sacrifice and help me today??? I desperately need you and will be in prayer for the Lord to move on your heart to help me!

Please don’t think that just because there are 2.5 million subscribers, someone else will take care of this. It has been friends like YOU over the years who God has spoken to, who have responded, who has made Liveprayer available to bring hope and salvation to so many. It will take someone like YOU today.

Also, I know there is someone reading these words who God has richly blessed, you have been praying about a place to use your resources where God can multiply them exponentially in the lives and eternal souls of men. THIS IS IT! CONTACT ME AND LET’S CHAT HOW YOU CAN HELP ME!!!

To make a gift to Liveprayer on your major credit card at our website http://www.liveprayer.com under the “Donation” button, or you can give from your PayPal account by using my email address, bkeller@liveprayer.com , or you can mail it to: Liveprayer, 6660 46th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33709.. All gifts to Liveprayer are 100% tax deductible.

I love you and care about you so much. Do you want to do something great for God with your life??? STAND WITH ME!!! I CAN’T DO THIS ALONE!!! I am asking you today to simply pray about what God may be calling you to do to help me with this effort. I am also asking you to please forward this to every person you know, personally reach out to those who God has blessed with financial resources and encourage them to support this new work, and share this email with your pastor and ask him to pray about having your church make a special missions gift towards this effort.

When this brief journey through life is over, what do we have to show for it? The only lasting legacy we have are those things we did for the Lord. I have taken my stand and will proclaim His truth with my dying breath. Today, I am asking you to pray about joining me and let’s turn this nation back to God and His Truth!!!

Will you stand and fight with me???????

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

When You Fail, Don’t Stop Trying

(1 John 1:9)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, help me to be a Godly citizen and honor the laws of this nation. Thank you for allowing me to live in a nation where we can have our voice heard through the democratic process that governs us. Help ALL people find peace, joy, and an abundant life wherever they may live in this world. We know that can only come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Help me to do my part when opportunities present themselves to be part of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people throughout the world. Protect this nation from those who would seek to do it harm, and give those in authority the strength to enforce the laws that govern this great land. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

When you fail, don’t stop trying. Over the past week or so, I have really hit hard the issue of sin in our life. To some extent, I am affected by the over 40,000 emails that we get each day hear at Liveprayer. I get my daily report of those prayer requests, and actually answer about 90-100 myself each day. Many of the problems in the lives of those who send in their requests, are as a result of sin in their life, or the life of someone they are close to.

I come down hard on the issue of sin because I see first hand every day how it destroys lives. I also know that with the power of God at work in our life, we can overcome sin, and avoid many of the problems that we experience when we give in to it. My purpose today is to encourage you in this battle. To tell you NEVER TO GIVE UP. GOD CAN AND WILL LEAD YOU TO VICTORY IF YOU WILL FOLLOW HIM.

When I was about 5 years old my family went to a county fair and there was a pony ride. Even though it was a pony, to a 5 year old, that animal looked HUGE! The pony had only taken about 4-5 steps, and somehow I slid off. My parents wanted me to get back on, but there was NO WAY I was getting back on that pony. To this day, I have never rode a horse because of that experience.

Sadly, many Christians do the same thing in regard to our daily struggle with sin. They fall off, and instead of getting back on board with God, they give up. God is a God of victory, and a believer has already won the greatest battle, our eternal home, so we MUST never give up and keep fighting on even when we fail.

You see my friend, when we are saved we begin a climb on the spiritual ladder. The longer we walk with God, the higher on that ladder we get. But let me be perfectly clear. No matter how high you may climb, there are ALWAYS more rungs above you, and at each level, we have things in our life the Holy Spirit shows us, that we need to battle and overcome.

NOBODY is immune to sin in their life, and EVERYBODY has something in their life that they need to clean up. In our efforts to overcome whatever issue that we may be facing at this particular moment, there are times when we will fall short, when we will fail. My word to you today is to DO NOT ACCEPT FAILURE, GET RIGHT BACK WITH GOD, AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD.

God has given us such a precious promise in 1 John 1:9 that if we will simply confess our sins, He will forgive us, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. All God asks when we fail is that we humble ourselves to Him, confess our sins, accept His forgiveness and cleansing, and MOVE FORWARD. Nobody gets victory standing still. Victory is won by moving forward!

I love you and care about you so much. I know there have been may Devotionals in the last few days that have been difficult to read. I write what I do each day because of my love for you, because I care about you. My job is to share the truth from God’s Word, point out what God says, and then pray that you will open your heart to receive it.

We live in a world full of evil and sin. As Christ told His disciples, we will have trials and tribulations in this life. That will happen regardless. But by living our lives in accordance with God’s Word, we can cut down on those trials that we bring on ourselves by rebelling against God. He also told His disciples to “be of good cheer” because HE has overcome this world.

THAT is why I say to you today, when you fail, don’t quit. Go to God, confess your failure, accept His forgiveness, and get back on track with God. I will be praying for you today, that whatever it is you are battling in your life, no matter how many times you may fail, that you will never give up. The songwriter said it best, THERE IS VICTORY IN JESUS!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Having the Passion of the Suicide Bomber

(1 Peter 2:12)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: ***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, give me your strength to stand for your Truth no matter what the cost.

Having the passion of the suicide bomber. One of the undeniable facts about those who are committing these horrible suicide bombings in the news virtually every day, is their total commitment to what they believe. It is misguided and horribly wrong what they do, but I can only pray today that those who claim to have their faith in Christ would be JUST as passionate and JUST as committed to the cause of Christ.

Of course these people represent an extreme element of what they believe, but the fact is, they are SO committed to their cause, SO committed to their belief, that they are willing to give their very lives for it. My question for you today is simply this. Are you as committed to your faith in Christ to give your very life for Him, if that is what you are asked to do?

In the United States, we have had the luxury of being very comfortable in our faith. We worship in freedom, not having to worry about outside interferences from those who do not agree with the message of our Lord. Even today, there are MANY places on this earth that this is NOT the case. We have many who get this Devotional every day in parts of the world where you could literally be put to death for proclaiming faith in Christ.

I have often wondered what would happen if one Sunday morning a group of soldiers with machine guns came into a church, lined the people up, and simply said, “anyone who wants to denounce Christ can go home, the rest of you will be killed.” I really wonder how many would stand and claim Christ with their last breath. Those students of church history understand that this has been the choice many of God’s people have had to make since the very first church. Are we as passionate about our faith today, to literally give our lives for it?

Today’s Devotional is very short on purpose. I don’t want you to think about anything else today but this one question. If I was asked to give my life for Christ, would I?

I love you and care about you very much. The FACT is, if your answer is yes, then that means you are willing to do whatever God is calling you to do, whatever God is asking you to do, to further His Kingdom here on earth. We are clearly living in the last days as Jesus described in Matthew 24 and Paul spoke of in 2 Timothy 3 and 2 Peter 3. The challenge today is are you willing to literally give your life if you had to, to share the hope and love of Christ with this lost and sin filled world?

God is asking you today to surrender your life to Him, so that He can use you to reach others with the promise of everlasting life. Are you willing to give your life to Him? Are you willing to do all that He is asking you to do to see others come into the everlasting knowledge of Jesus Christ?

***Only a very few will ever be asked to actually die for the Lord, but ALL of God’s children are asked daily to surrender their lives to Him so that He can use you for His plan and purpose.

The fact is, the suicide bombers are daily giving their life for the lost cause that they have bought into. My challenge to you today is this. ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE YOUR LIFE FOR CHRIST? The one thing that we know is that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. It is ONLY through Him that man comes to know everlasting life. Are you willing to give your life to proclaim THAT message? I am, and I pray today that you are too.

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Father, bless me this day to have the courage to stand up for YOUR TRUTH in my daily life. Give me boldness to proclaim YOUR TRUTH when I am with those who mock and demean our faith in Christ and for following the teachings of the Bible. No matter what they may say, let me be not afraid to stand for you. LET NO MAN EVER WONDER IF I AM A TRUE FOLLOWER OF CHRIST AND MY LIFE BELONGS TO YOU!!! In Jesus name…AMEN!

David and Goliath! (From email) “I just wanted you to know how much Friday’s show revived my faith in God. Lately, I have been wondering if God would move in certain areas of life because it seemed that he hasn’t been listening to my prayers. But, when you preached about David and Goliath and faith, I could feel my spirit being revived and quicken.

It’s amazing how easily I could forget what God did for me in the past. But, the thing you said that ministered to and overwhelmingly blessed me the most was, your history with God is where your victory ultimately comes from. Hallelujah!!! That one state has set me free from fear and worry! Thank you Bill for allowing God to speak through you! My life will never be the same!

As you read these words below today, hopefully take a few minutes to watch the topic from this past Friday’s TV program, I know that at some point in your life you will have to battle Goliath. One of the reasons I exhort you each day to stay close to the Lord through time in prayer and the Word, through being in church to get that spiritual nourishment, to be in fellowship with other Believers, to find ways to serve God, is because we all have those sentinel moments in life when we will have to fight Goliath. At that moment you will either cower in your tent and refuse to fight like the armies of Israel and let your fear defeat you, or you will confidently go onto the battlefield knowing that victory is already yours like David did.

The word I want you to hear for your life today is that you will one day have to fight Goliath. It is not a matter of if, only when. Listen to me very closely now. You don’t defeat Goliath when you actually fight him, you defeat Goliath before you ever step onto the battlefield. This is very deep so let me say it again and listen carefully. You don’t defeat Goliath when you actually fight him, you defeat Goliath before you ever step onto the battlefield! Let me explain.

When you step onto the battlefield to fight Goliath, you are not going to have time to learn how to fight, you are not going to have time to come up with a strategy how to defeat the giant, you are not going to have time to develop the faith and trust in God to lead you to victory. These are all the things you better already know and have. If you don’t, it is no wonder why you would be afraid and are defeated before your battle with Goliath even begins.

Look at David. When he walked onto the battlefield with Goliath, he KNEW he would be victorious. How did he know that? He had fought battles in the past and had been victorious. When he was guarding his father’s sheep, he battled with a lion and won. When he was guarding his father’s sheep, he battled with a bear and won. David had been in battle before. He knew how to fight. More important, he had developed a great faith in God who gave him the strength to win those battles.

So when David was preparing to fight Goliath, he already knew that the same God who delivered him from the paw of the bear, the same God who delivered him from he paw of the lion, was the very same God who would delver him from the Philistine giant Goliath!!!

This is why I stress to you so often how critical it is to be in the Word every day, to be in prayer every day, to fellowship with other Believers, to be in church and be fed spiritually, to find ways to serve the Lord. All of these things you do each and every day help build you up spiritually and strengthen your faith, while you fight the daily battles of life and God leads you to victory. That way when you have your showdown with a real giant like Goliath, you can go into that battle with the confidence and knowledge that the same God who has led you to victory in the past is the very same God who will lead you to victory today.

The Bible teaches that God is no respecter of persons, that what God did for one…David.. He will do for another…YOU!!!

I love you and care about you so much. My word for you today is PREPARE! Prepare now for your battle with Goliath. It is not a matter of if that battle will happen, it is only a matter of when. The time to win that battle is now before it ever happens. Faithfully pray each day, faithfully read the Word each day, faithfully fellowship with other Believers, faithfully go to church to be fed spiritually, faithfully serve God. It is your faithfulness NOW that will lead you to victory when you fight Goliath.

I will be praying for you. Praying for you to know VICTORY in your life over those day-to-day battles we all face. It is watching God lead you to those daily victories that will give you the confidence and faith to trust Him when the major battles arise. God is a God of VICTORY. Let me leave you with this Truth.

]The same God who led you to victory over your battles 10 years ago, the same God who led you to victory over your battles 5 years ago, the same God who led you to victory over your battles last year, the same God who led you to victory over your battles last month, is the VERY SAME GOD who will lead you to victory over your battles tomorrow and lead you to victory when you fight Goliath!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
