The State of Liveprayer and Leading Our Nation Back to God and His Truth

(1 Corinthians 15:57)

*** ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, do you have to be baptized in water to go to Heaven ?

ANSWER: NO! The Bible clearly teaches we are saved by our faith, plus God’s grace, plus NOTHING. Here is a Devotional on this issue:

THE STATE OF LIVEPRAYER AND LEADING OUR NATION BACK TO GOD AND HIS TRUTH WHILE SAVING SOULS! It is a new year ahead, a year that our faith will be made whole by our actions. True Biblical faith requires action. This ministry has walked that walk of faith for over 13 years as we have ministered to tens of millions worldwide during that time while helping to lead over 700,000 souls we know of to faith in Jesus Christ.

Our greatest walk of faith is ahead as we lead our nation back to God and His Truth while helping lost souls find a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our faith is unwavering, our actions prayerfully prepared. The same God who has blessed His work here for nearly 14 years, is the same God who will guide us to victory. God is calling all who know Him to take their stand.

Are YOU ready to help me lead this nation back to God and His Truth? Our time is NOW! After 160 months online, allowing God to use our work to impact tens of millions of lives worldwide over those many years, it is time for Liveprayer and those in the Liveprayer family to begin our final work for the Lord, leading this nation back to God and His Truth, while guiding the lost to faith in Jesus Christ!!!

Over these past 13+ years, God has given us the vision to create a bold and visible outreach like none other via our interactive internet ministry, the TV program for secular television stations and networks, the Jonah Project, the Remnant, and the Liveprayer Church. All of these ministry tools have been used to reach the lost and hurting for Christ and bring Biblical Truth into the marketplace. The Liveprayer family, who has made it all possible, are people from all different denominations and churches coming together as one Body. Our goals have never been earthly, only heavenly.

TV Show Archives: Jonah Project: The Remnant: The Liveprayer Church:

Our final two minsitry tools that will enable us to boldly, visibly, and without shame, begin to lead this nation back to God and His Truth, while guiding the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The first of those tools is the debuted November 1st of 2011, “The Liveprayer Daily Video Message.” This is a daily 3-6 minute personal video message from me that is available on, as well as accessible on any cellphone, tablet, or other portable device.

Each day, my personal and unscripted video message deals with a specific topic, has an action step, and ends with prayer. This allows you to start each day with a word of encouragement, a challenge for the day, and a prayer to strengthen and guide you throughout that day. As I mentioned, these personal video messages are unscripted so they are exactly what the Holy Spirit wants to me to share with you that day, an action step for you to perform, and closing with a word of prayer.

The purpose of this special daily video message is so that I can challenge you, encourage you, as we work together to help lead our nation back to God and His Truth, while helping to lead the lost and hurting into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It will be a daily few minutes with the Lord as He strengthens you and gudies you in our efforts for Him. You can access the new Liveprayer Daily Video Message on the homepage or directly at:

The second piece will debut later this month, which is the return of the Liveprayer TV program. We pioneered for years a real “live” program to minister to people, reach the unchurched, lost and hurting (that is why we have only aired on secular stations and networks), and bring God’s Truth into the marketplace.

As I correctly told you over a decade ago, we are living in a time when it is very difficult to get Biblical Truth into the discussion in the secular media. They will only put on people who won’t say controversial things like marriage is between a man and a woman, or abortion is murder. Is it any wonder why the better part of the past two generations who grew up with no church in their life, have embraced every lie satan has told on every issue???

I love you and care about you so much. The Spirit has shown me that our window of opportunity is very short and closing rapidly. It is only a matter of time before God unleashes His wrath and judgment on this once Godly nation for turning our backs on Him and worshipping every fasle god and idol man has created in his rebellious mind, for slaughtering 4,000 innocent babies every 24 hours, for our gross sexual perversions, and embracing every sin imaginable. As I told you in November of 2011, the real meaning of the past election is that God’s hand of protection and blessing has been removed from this nation and we are on our own!

I believe in my heart we can see one more great revival in this land before we face God’s final judgment on our nation, and millions, tens of millions of souls can be saved. In the end, that has always been what Liveprayer is about..SOULS! You know me well enough by now to know I am not interested in money, or fame, or power, or any of the things of this temporal world. At 54, my life is winding down. In spite of the incredible impact Liveprayer has had on tens of millions of people worldwide over these many years now, our work is still not complete.

We don’t have to continue living in a nation that mocks and demeans God and our Lord. We don’t have to live in a land that kills babies without conscience. We don’t have to live in a land that makes a mockery of God’s Holy Institution of Marriage. We don’t have to live in a land that is waiting for the judgment of God when we could be enjoying the blessings of God.

My friend, as of today, we are going on the offensive in battling for the soul of this nation. I am asking you to stand with me and help me as we start today to lead this nation back to God and His Truth while leading the lost and hurting to faith in Jesus Christ. Our time is up, we must act decisively, and we must act now. God has always had a people, a remnant, those who refused to bow their knee to baal. It is time for the remnant to rise up and call this nation to repentance, call this nation to turn back to God and Biblcial Truth, and tell the lost and hurting their hope now and for all eternity is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Mental Illness and Depression are Real

(John 17:31; Romans 14:1; Nehemiah 8:10)

***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, how best can a Believer best disciple a new Believer? What do you reckommend that a Christian do as far as coaching a new Believer?

ANSWER: If there is one thing the church lacks it is discipleship. It is critical, since once a person accepts Jesus, unless someone shows them the way, how will they know what to do? Discipleship is about a special relationship. The key to that relationship is accountability. For a new Believer, you need to spend time with them to help them understand they need to read the Bible and pray every day. They need to get into a good Bible teaching, Bible preaching church. They need to get into a good Bible study. We grow as fast as we are able based on the time and effort we put into our new relationship with the Lord. To disciple somone, you don’t need to be a Bible scholar, there are many out there to answer the difficult quesitons. You DO need to be committed to this relationship and helping guide the new convert in their DAILY walk.

In the wake of the numerous mass killings in this nation over the last decade, the one common thread in EVERY ONE has been the mental condition of the person who perpetrated the senseless injuring and killing of innocent people. While the debate wages on about the role of guns, few are willing to deal with the real issue, which is mental illness. I have long proposed that just like most every high school students takes the SAT, why not have a mental health evaluation of every child as they enter the 10th grade. It would at least be a start to trying to identify those who have these issues.

The church and most people refuse to deal with the reality of mental illness and depression that so many suffer from. Let me say right up front. Mental illness is just as real as a broken leg. Just because it is not a visible illness, does not mean it is not as real as someone with a broken bone, a bad heart, or any other illness. MENTAL ILLNESS AND DEPRESSION ARE REAL!

I have shared with you in the past that God’s number one instrument of healing is called a DOCTOR. One of God’s chief methods of healing is called MEDICINE. Where do you think the incredible intelligence and the special gift to be a doctor comes from? It comes from God! Where do you think the incredible intelligence, and the inspiration to create medicine comes from? It comes from God!

I want to encourage anyone today that is suffering from any form of mental illness or depression to seek out the best professional help possible. God has raised up mental health professionals and given men the wisdom to create drugs to treat mental illness, so that you can live a normal and productive life. Just like there is no reason to be ashamed to see a doctor if you break your arm, just like there is no reason to be ashamed if you have to take medicine to treat a kidney problem, there is no reason to be ashamed to see a doctor or take the proper medication if you suffer from mental illness or depression!

For many people that are suffering from depression, I want to help you find the joy in life again. Many who suffer from depression have simply allowed the events and circumstances of their life to overwhelm and paralyze them. We learn at an early age how to deal with the day to day issues of life, how to deal with problems. What happens to many who are depressed, is they have simply been unable to cope with the things that have happened to them and can’t seem to get past certain problems in their life.

Feelings change all the time. Our feelings are based on our perception of an issue or problem. For example, if you have $20,000 of debt and you are only making $30,000 a year with nothing left over after the basic living needs are met, you might perceive that $20,000 of debt to be a mountain that is impossible to move. If you continue to focus on that mountain, it starts to get bigger, and bigger, and soon your perception is that it is impossible to ever be free from your debt. The longer you focus on the problem, the bigger it becomes and that is when depression can set in. Depression is the result of being hopeless.

However, even though you may have $20,000 of debt and are only making $30,000 a year with nothing left over after your basic living needs are met, you might look at that $20,000 of debt, not as a mountain impossible to move, but simply an obstacle that has to be dealt with. In other words, you don’t focus on the mountain, but you focus on a way to move the mountain. You come up with a plan to retire the debt over a period of time, and instead of letting depression set in due to looking at the situation as hopeless, you maintain a positive outlook since that debt is simply an issue that has to be taken care of. Depression can’t set in where there is hope. Let me say that one more time.

The other part of the answer to depression is serving others. The Bible teaches us that if we will be about our Father’s business, our Father will be about our business. If we will serve others, it is amazing how our own problems become more manageable. If you are suffering from depression, let me encourage you today to get out and start finding ways to serve others. You see, when we serve others, we are serving God. Our God-given purpose in this life is to serve and glorify God with our lives. Depression can’t set in when you are serving others. Let me say that one more time.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize many people suffer from some form of mental illness that is just as real as any other type of illness. I will be praying today that those who are suffering from some form of mental illness, will seek out the best professional help possible and take advantage of whatever medication that is prescribed to treat you. God is still in the healing business, and GOD CAN BRING HEALING TO THOSE SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILLNESS.

I will also be praying for those of you today who are suffering from depression. The two-fold answer for overcoming your depression and finding the joy of the Lord again in your life, is hope and service. Seeking the Lord to give you wisdom and direction in finding a solution to whatever problems or issues you are facing in your life. If you stay focused on Christ, He will give you the hope to get victory over whatever you are facing today.

The other part of the answer is finding ways to serve others. I pray that you will get serious about finding ways to serve others. God has called us to serve others, and when we are doing that, fulfilling our purpose in life, our own problems simply don’t seem as great. When you are busy serving others, you don’t have time to get depressed.

I pray that this word today will be a breakthrough in your life if you are battling with mental illness or depression. God loves you very much. He wants you to have joy in your life, despite whatever trials and tribulations you may be experiencing. That joy comes from knowing Christ as our Savior. When we know Christ, there is no such thing as being hopeless. When we know Christ, we have a desire to serve Him by serving others. It is through Christ that you can have victory over mental illness and depression!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Are You Wasting Your Precious Life Away

(John 10:10)

***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, the Bible says to assemble with other Christians which would be going to church for one, but that is a work. No good work will get you to heaven. So if you don’t go to church every Sunday is that a sin?

ANSWER: NO! Going to church, not forsaking the assembling together as Hebrews instructs us, is to help us grow in our faith. It is not a work, but an opportunity for Christians to grow and mature in our faith, as well as the opportunity to fellowship with other Believers.

If you smoke, drink alcohol, do drugs, abuse food, engage in sex outside of marriage, gamble, are greedy, or in any other kind of bondage, you ARE wasting your life away. The problem is that the bondages in our life sap the very life out of us each day!!!

The time spent indulging in our bondage, and then recovering from our episodes, is precious time that we could be doing something productive. The bondages we get involved in dominate our thoughts. They cause health problems. Once you are involved in any kind of bondage, you are wasting away your precious life.

Today’s Devotional is designed for only one purpose, to make you stop, perhaps for the first time in a LONG time, be honest with yourself, and ask yourself what has become a bondage that is destroying your very life. Of course, all bondage is from satan. His purpose is very clearly defined in our verse today. It is to KILL, STEAL, and DESTROY.

He wants to kill you to keep you from serving God. He wants to steal your joy and peace to keep you down, so that you aren’t of any use to God. He wants to destroy you, so that those around you have no hope. Because of the victory Jesus won on the cross 2,000 years ago, YOU ALSO CAN LIVE IN VICTORY.

I love you and care about you so much. I can’t force you to stop whatever has you in bondage today, but I can pray for you. Our life is so short even under the best circumstances, that we need to treat each day as the gift from God it is. When we waste it by allowing a bondage in our life to take over, we lose out on so much. Jesus promised that we would have a life of abundance.

But God gave us free will to make our own choices. I will be praying today that for those of you NOT in some form of bondage in your life today, that you stay strong and avoid allowing yourself to get caught in that trap. For those who are fighting some bondage today, let me tell you that God is a God of deliverance. I will be praying today that you open your heart and hear HIM speaking to you today.

You are in a battle. To win a battle, you must have a battle plan. Pray, sit down and let God give you a plan that you can faithfully work each day. Then you need someone that you can be accountable to on a daily basis. You can’t win this fight alone. You need someone to stand with you and hold you accountable.

Lastly, you need the strength that you can only get from God. That comes from your daily relationship through prayer and the Word, from being in church, and in finding ways to serve the Lord. All of this working together will help you overcome this battle and see victory. I will stand with you and be praying for you. Our God is able!!!

Please know God loves you so much. Take a moment and be honest with yourself. If you have allowed some form of bondage to take over your life, TODAY can be a day of deliverance for you. Don’t waste another moment of your precious life. God has blessings for you that you cannot even begin to comprehend. Never forget, the devil has only one goal, to kill, steal, and destroy. Jesus came to give you life, and life more abundantly. Take your life back today, and LIVE!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

God is Faithful

(Galatians 6:2)

***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, what exactly is required to surrender 100% to Christ and live by faith?

ANSWER: Die to self daily. That is done by waking up praying, getting in the Word first thing, and staying “plugged in” to God throughout the day. During the day, make decisions pleasing and acceptable to God. Don’t forget for one minute you are HIS ambassador. Find ways to serve Him. Trust Him with the problems you encounter throughout the day. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, you learn to die to self daily and live for Him instinctively.

“Bill, Thank you for your thoughts and for caring. Every night when I kneel with my sons to pray, you are lifted to God. You have been for so long that when these sons pray out loud, they speak to God of you by name. I know God will bless your ministry in the coming year, it is the only real hope I see!”

“Bill, I just want to thank you! I’ve known who God and Jesus are, but it was just asked last night when was I born again. I have been struggling when I came across your video sharing the Plan of Salvation and I accepted Him into my life by faith. Now I can say when I was born again without hesitating. Thank you for being a light in this dark world for the lost and hurting!!!”

God is faithful! My word for you today is that GOD IS FAITHFUL! I know many of you are hurting today, going through a difficult time, but my word for you today is that GOD IS FAITHFUL! As you pray for me and make the sacrifice to help me continue God’s work here at Liveprayer, so I pray for and stand with you. The Bible teaches we are to bear each others burdens!

I am most blessed of men to be able to wake up each morning and share the Truth of God’s Word with so many around the world, bring His Truth into the marketplace outside the four walls of the church, pray for tens of thousands daily who need God’s touch in their life, and lead lost souls to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The fact is, I have only been able to do that these past 160 months by the grace of God who has given me the health, presence of mind, spiritual guidance, and passion to wake up every day for the past 4,867 days and do what God has called me to do with my life because of friends like YOU!

I need your prayers and help today. As we are just 3 days before the end of December, we are still $39,000 short of covering our basic operational costs this month. $20,000 of that amount is several weeks past due and I am praying for 4 friends in the Liveprayer family who can make a one-time sacrifice of $2,000-$10,000 in the next day or so to insure we can clean up that amount.

Over these past 13+ years, God has always used several special people each month who have been richly blessed, often in the 11th hour, to insure the needs of His work here were taken care of.

*Would you pray about making a special year-end gift to help me? If you were planning on a special gift prior to the end of the year, it would help me a great deal if you could send it at this time. All gifts postmarked by December 31st will be applied to your 2012 giving.

That would leave $20,000 to cover the rest of our October budget that we need to bring in before the end of the month. The Bible teaches to give according to your ability to give. Please take a moment today and pray about what God is calling you to do to help me. Everyone can pray, and most can make a sacrifce of $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, or more to help me at this time to insure all of our basic operational costs are current.

I will be in prayer today, trusting by faith that as God has done for the past 160 months, He will move on the hearts of those who have the ability to step up and help me continue to bring His Truth to the marketplace, pray for people in their time of need, and bring the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!!! HE IS ABLE!!! Will you help me today?

TO GIVE A GIFT TO LIVEPRAYER, you can use your major credit card on our secure server at: under the “Donation” link, you can give using your PayPal account using my email address:,or you can mail your gift to: Liveprayer, 6660 46th Ave. North, St.Petersburg, FL 33709. My Annual New Year’s Resolution Message

(Matthew 24:35)

***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, how do we work out our Salvation with fear an trembling?

ANSWER: It is a daily journey. Once you have made that confession of faith you are saved, but now you must grow in your faith. It is the process of sanctification that begins the moment you are saved and is only finished when you take your last breath and graduate to Heaven. Like anything, it takes hard work to grow as a Christian. Reading the word, praying, being part of a local fellowship of Believers, finding ways to serve the Lord, are all elements we need to work on daily to grow in our faith and become more like the Lord.

A great tradition here at Liveprayer is my annual New Year’s resolution message. This the 14th year I have had the honor of sharing this special message, and tens of thousands of people have taken my challenge and read the Bible cover to cover in a year, something less than 10% of people who profess to be Christians have ever done. Have you? If not, I am praying that you will make this YOUR New Year’s resolution for 2013!

Having preached to several hundred thousand people in evangelistic meetings in churches of all denominations throughout the country, having ministered to millions via television and radio through the years, and having prayed for and intimately counseled thousands and thousands of people over my 20 years of ministry…I would have to say the biggest problem I have encountered with Believers is the vast majority have never read the instruction manual!!!

Statistical research shows that less than 10% of professing Christians have ever read the entire Bible. The church as a whole is Biblically illiterate! >From time to time in my Devotional I will give my opinion on an issue and I am very careful to always let you know when it is Bill Keller’s opinion. Most of the time I just let God’s words speak for themselves. There is not one issue, one thing we deal with in everyday life that is not covered in the Bible.

How many people are in terrible marriages where one spouse is a nonbeliever. Do you think God admonished us to “not be unequally yoked” for nothing? How about those dealing with horrible illnesses because they abused themselves over the years with alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and food. Does God not tell us our body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit? How many families are ripped apart by bitterness and hatred when the Bible commands us to “have love one for another,” to “forgive as Christ has forgiven you,” and to “love your enemies.” I have to be honest. In many cases it is not as much rebellion towards God as it is complete ignorance of God’s Word.

Like many men, I get a new electronic toy and the first thing I do is open the box, toss the instructions to the side, and start “putting it together.” Usually after a period of time when it is not working or I have broken something, I grab the instructions and put it together correctly. How much easier would it have been if I had done that first. It is the same in our walk with God. Many people claim they can’t hear God. God may be talking to you and you can’t hear Him because you don’t know what to be listening for. The Bible is one way that God speaks to us. If you want to hear God, just read the Book.

I know that those who get this Devotional each day are of above average intelligence which is why I am very direct and to the point. I share things knowing that you are smart enough to understand what God expects you to do, I don’t have to paint a picture. So if you ever listened to me at all, listen to what I am going to say to you now. This applies to everyone, even those that may have read the Bible cover to cover 100 times.

***It takes an individual of average reading ability 90 hours to read the entire Bible. That is one hour a day for 3 months, or one half hour a day for 6 months, or 15 minutes a day for 12 months. Most people make New Year’s resolutions. Here is one for you with eternal rewards and will be more valuable than losing 10 pounds that you will just put back on. Carve out one hour, 30 minutes, or 15 minutes every day starting January 1st and start reading at Genesis 1:1. One hour, 30 minutes, or 15 minutes, you choose. I suggest that for those 90 days, or 6 months, or the next 12 months, you get up that amount of time earlier than normal and do it the very first thing. Trust me, God will give you the strength you need during the day. Losing a little sleep will not kill you. Quite the opposite. It will save you 100 times that in lost sleep over the years from problems caused because you didn’t take time to read the instruction book.

Now listen, I understand that some of the Old Testament can be dry. The Jewish laws, the genealogy of kings, some of the prophetic books can be very confusing and at times boring. Plug on. Don’t get discouraged because you don’t understand everything you are reading. Having read the Bible cover to cover many, many, many times, each time is a new experience for me. You might have accepted this challenge before. This message is still for you! DO IT AGAIN! YOU CAN NEVER GET TOO MUCH OF GOD’S WORD!!!

WARNING: I am not the Bible answer man so don’t start flooding me with questions. I’ll pray for you anytime, but I cannot handle thousands of Bible questions. I do suggest though you keep a notepad of questions and talk them over with your pastor.

Trust me when I tell you, reading the Bible cover to cover will change your life. You will see things you never thought were in the Bible. You will see God’s warnings and promises to help you through tough times. Most of all, you will start to understand how God thinks. How can you please God if you don’t understand how He thinks? He knows you are not a mind reader. That is one reason He gave you the Bible so you could begin to understand what God expects from your life.

I promise you the time you spend reading the Bible cover to cover will be the most important time of your life. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of what I am challenging you to do. Start at the very beginning. That way you can see God from the creation of our world, to the very end. It is better than any book or movie you have ever read or seen.

The Bible is our final authority for all matters concerning this life. In this day of being politically correct, accepting everyone’s beliefs and ideas, we are in the mess we are morally and spiritually because we have gotten away from the black and white truth of God’s Word. We have no one to blame but ourselves. In this day of instant gratification, drive thru food, cell phones, fax machines, email, Federal Express, jet travel, we want what we want now and refuse to wait.

We have become lazy which is why we don’t take the time to read the Bible. I guarantee you that you will spend 90 hours plus in front of the television, the computer, with the newspaper, or doing something else that you enjoy. I am not saying quit living and enjoying your life. What I am saying is that you have the time, it is only a matter of whether this is a big enough priority for you to take the time.

I love you, care about you, and my heart breaks every day as I read the thousands of prayer requests I receive. How much heartache and pain could have been avoided if people would have only read the Book and followed the instructions. You cannot believe how much sense this life makes when you are living under the direction of God’s Word. As I say often, our way does not work, God’s way does!

I will be praying that the Lord really opens your heart and conviction floods you right now as you read these words. I can’t force you to do it, you have to want to do it. I will be praying and trusting the Holy Spirit to move on your heart to take this challenge, even now as you read these words. This will be the best New Year’s resolution you will ever make.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

A Study Shows that Prayer Works

(1 Chronicles 16:11; Psalms 91:15; Isaiah 65:24)

***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, you have obviously heard of the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes breakup. Katie Holmes has stated that one of the reasons for the breakup is due to Tom Cruise’s belief in Scientology. What exactly is this?

ANSWER: Here is a Devotional on this hideous satanic cult. I will give them credit for one thing however, they don’t even try to deceive people into thinking they are Christians, despite the fact their beliefs as you will see, or no more fantastical as believing you will die and become the god of your own planet, or that you can baptize dead people into heaven, or that special underwear with satanic markings will keep you from harm.

I almost have to laugh sometimes at how ignorant man can be. I’m really not sure whether I am more amazed at the folly of those who put this study together, or the fact they spent TWO MILLION FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS to do it. They should have called me. Not only would that $2.4 million been used to reach millions of people worldwide every day for a year with prayer, they could have seen first hand over that time the fact PRAYER DOES WORK!

In a recent article for a news-wire service, our techs backtracked over the past 160 months of Liveprayer and figured out that we have answered over 70 million prayer requests since we started. We currently have an archive of praise reports that is now at over 5 million. However, it is not numbers that tell me prayer works, it is TRANSFORMED LIVES!!!

The greatest proof of the power of prayer is in the very real lives of those God has touched. I have praise reports from people who had diseased bodies and are now completely healthy. I have praise reports from people who were given only months to live . . . years ago! I have praise reports from people who were in bondage to drugs, alcohol, sex, food, and any other addiction you can name that were delivered and now live their lives in freedom. I have praise reports from couples who were just hours from being divorced and had their marriages restored.

That is why I share with you often, that the greatest witness you have to your lost family members, friends, co-workers, or someone you are just sharing your faith with is your life! They can argue issues in the Bible, the existence of God, who Jesus is, and anything else they want. The one thing they can’t refute is what God has done in YOUR life! You are a living testimony of God’s transforming power. Your life is the proof that all God says and promises in His Word are true!

Listen, it is not worth this precious time to get into all the details of the study but the bottom line is that it was flawed from the start. Man is a fool to think he can put God in a box and try to study Him like he does a lab rat. Those who were involved with this study clearly have no clue what prayer is. Prayer is our communication with God our Creator. We pray because God tells us to in His Word. We pray out of our dependence upon God. We pray in faith believing God for our needs. We pray knowing that God is the only answer. Prayer is not like rubbing a magic lamp with a genie inside and having our wishes granted.

You can’t try to measure prayer based on whether your prayers were answered the way YOU wanted them answered. The fatal flaw of this study was failing to recognize that one way God answers prayer is with NO! No is just as much an answer as YES or WAIT. As we mature in the Lord, we see more of our prayers answered, because we evolve from simply praying for what we want exactly the way we want it, to praying for our needs and asking God to meet our needs the way He wants to. As we grow in our relationship with the Lord, we realize His plan is better than our plan, and we seek the Lord’s will above our own will.

Last year I was in the ICU at a local hospital praying for a young man who had been accidentally shot. He was in a coma, and the doctors had little hope he would recover. I laid my hands on that young man, prayed the prayer of faith over his body and believed God that he would be healed, raised up out of that hospital bed and made whole.

As I was leaving the ICU waiting room a man called out my name. He watched the TV program often and asked if I would pray for his daughter who had overdosed on drugs and had little chance of living through the night. I went back into that ICU, I laid my hands on that girl’s body, prayed the prayer of faith over her for God to clean out her system, reverse the damage of the drugs, and make her whole.

Two days after praying for that young man, I got the call that the Lord had taken him home. Today, after nearly a year since this took place, that young girl has fully recovered and has turned her life completely over to the Lord. I prayed over both of these young people. I poured out my faith in praying for God to heal them both. I left ICU that day knowing that I had done all God asked me to do, and now it was in His hands. It was God’s will and God’s plan for that young man’s journey through this life to be over, and for this young woman to continue on. The fact is, God answered BOTH of those prayers, even though they both weren’t the answer I had desired.

I love you and care about you so much. The reason I felt the need to address this today is because of the incredible amount of press this flawed study has generated. Obviously, those in the world who deny God, reject His Son, and live in rebellion to the Bible will CLING to studies like this, no matter how flawed they are, to help justify their sad choice. They find a false peace in anything that questions the existence of God and His Word, or that faith in Jesus is man’s only hope for redemption. Studies like this simply give sinful men contentment in living their life in rebellion to God and the Bible.

The only way anyone could conclude prayer does not work is to not understand what prayer is. Based on the conclusion of this study, it is apparent they expected every heart surgery patient who was prayed for to be healed. In trying to scientifically measure the human effect of prayer, they forgot the most important component of prayer . . . God! The fact is God does answer . . . 100% of the time. The only way prayer doesn’t work is when you don’t pray!!!

The Greatest Gift You Can Give Anyone this Christmas are the Words of Everlasting Life

(John 3:16)

***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, the Bible says to assemble with other Christians which would be going to church for one, but that is a work. No good work will get you to heaven. So if you don’t go to church every Sunday is that a sin?

ANSWER: NO! Going to church, not forsaking the assembling together as Hebrews instructs us, is to help us grow in our faith. It is not a work, but an opportunity for Christians to grow and mature in our faith, as well as the opportunity to fellowship with other Believers.

The greatest gift you can give anyone this Christmas are the words of everlasting life. Forward this to someone that you know who is lost, and pray that God will open their hearts to receive HIS gift to the world… JESUS CHRIST! Today is the day we celebrate the greatest gift ever given. We celebrate today the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God’s gift to the world. Today is truly a day of rejoicing. Because of this gift from God, we can be forgiven of our sins and reunited with our Creator for eternity.

So much of what I deal with each day in this Devotional is to help you walk through this short journey here on earth victoriously and productively. But we must never forget that our time here is very brief and there is an eternity waiting for us when this journey is complete. I want to focus for just a minute on this most blessed day, to that split second when our life on this earth is finished and we are launched into eternity. Do you this day have the assurance that when your life is complete, your eternity is going to be spent in Heaven?

If the answer to that question is anything but a resounding YES, then let me just share this simple truth with you. You see, our God, our Creator so loved this world, so loved His creation, that He sent His son, His only Son to be part of this world. Jesus had one mission in this life. It wasn’t to be a great teacher, though He was a great teacher. It wasn’t to be a great prophet, though He was a great prophet. It wasn’t to be a great miracle worker, though He did work many great miracles. No my friend, Jesus came to this world with only one job…to die.

You see, the reason it was vital for Jesus to be immaculately conceived by God and born of a virgin was so that He was not infected with the same problem you and I were born into this life with….sin. Otherwise, the best He could have done was die for His own sins. Jesus lived on this earth for some 33 years before it was time to complete His work. That work was finished on a cross on the hill called Calvary where He hung and then died as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of this world.

That is why, whosoever believes in Jesus, shall not perish for eternity, but have everlasting life! Believing in Jesus is the only way to be saved because it was Jesus who died and was sacrificed for our sins. There are no other ways to be saved, no other roads back to God, there are no other plans of salvation. This is God’s one and only plan to reconcile his fallen creation back to Himself. This is the only way you can escape eternity apart from the God who created you in His own image. It is through His grace and by faith in Jesus Christ!

There are many incredible mysteries in the Bible. There are many doctrinal issues that will never be fully understood until we are in Heaven. But God made the most important decision of this life very easy and simple to understand. He gave every one the opportunity to have their sins washed away and be assured of an eternity in Heaven.

That is why we celebrate Christmas today! That is why we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The most important decision you will make in this life is not who you will marry, where you will live, what kind of job you will have. The most important decision you will make in this life is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

If you have not done that yet, the Bible says that today is the day of salvation. I would invite you to go to my website, and click on the button that says PLAN OF SALVATION ( direct link: ). Read those words, pray that prayer, and accept today God’s gift to you this Christmas, the gift of His son Jesus.

I love you and care about you deeply. For those of you who already know Christ as your Savior, I would encourage you to forward this email to someone you know who is lost and without hope this Christmas. What better present to give someone than the opportunity to know Jesus as their Savior.

I pray today that you will take time out of the busy day of travel, visiting friends and family, to focus on the gift God has given to us in His son Jesus. He gave His very best gift to us, which is why I will continue to encourage you to give your very best everyday to Him.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
