Praising God in the valley!!!

(2 Chronicles 20:22)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please help me to live this day honoring You in my thoughts, words, and deeds. Help me this day to live my life pleasing and acceptable to Jesus. Allow me to use my life to help someone else during this day, and be kind to everyone I come across no matter how they may treat me. Let Christ shine through me throughout this day oh Lord, be glorified through my life! In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!

What are you supposed to do when you are down, when the walls of life seem to be closing in, and you have no joy in your heart? Praise God! In my darkest moments, in those times when I am most down, I have always found the express lane out of the valley back to the mountaintop is by praising God. Trust me, I know that it is at those moments in life we least feel like praising God.

Our natural inclination is to curse God. That is a human reaction. But it is in our praise that we recognize who God is! . It is
in our praise that we realize how much He loves us. It is in our praise that we understand God is on our side. The quickest way out of the valley is by praising God!

The way we usually end up in the valley is because of our rebellion. We usually end up in the valley because we have been disobedient and tried to do it our way instead of God’s way. Normally, there is no one to blame for being in the valley but ourselves. God understands our weaknesses. He understands our nature. He also loves us enough that even when we rebel and disobey Him, He doesn’t abandon us. We abandon Him…He never leaves us.

It is that unconditional love He has for us that we must tap into when we are down and need to get the joy back into our life. The way we tap into that love is through our praise. Our praise tells God that we acknowledge Him. We thank Him for loving us and not leaving us. We may try, but we can never live a successful, happy, blessed life without Him. Our praise is our
recognition that He is God and we are His creation.

I want to encourage you today that no matter what may be going on in your life, no matter how difficult things may be…take some time today to Praise God. Praise Him for all the good things, all the blessings. As bad as things may be, they could be much worse. His love and mercy has kept you and helped you through the difficult times, now praise Him for loving you so much. Show Him how much you love Him this day by your praise offering to our God and Creator.

I love you so much. I really do care about you. I want you to know the great joy and peace and blessing of this life. Don’t let some bad decisions destroy the most important thing you have in this life..your relationship with God!!! You can reconcile that relationship right now, this very day. You can start on that road by simply giving God the praise He deserves.

Recognize Him for who He is…God Almighty…creator of Heaven and earth…your Father!! Tell Him
today how much you love Him through your praise. Remember, God is on your side and will restore your joy…your peace…your happiness, if you simply go to Him and let Him. Praise your way out of the valley and back onto the mountaintop today!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

(Jeremiah 37:13)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, I know I have only one life, one life to live for You. This is my moment in human history. Please Lord, let me make the most if it. Use my life to do great things for You as I surrender it afresh to You each morning. When I take my last breath, let there be no regrets, no sadness, that I didn’t use my life fully for Your Glory! In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

King Zedekiah puts the prophet Jeremiah in prison for simply telling the truth. I read about Jeremiah and other Old Testament prophets who were imprisoned for simply declaring God’s Word to the people of their day. If you notice, it was never the priests of the day who were the targets of the king. They were either in the king’s pocket or compromising the truth so they didn’t offend anyone and their “business” was not disrupted. It was prophets like Jeremiah who were declaring the Lord’s wrath and coming judgment if the people didn’t tu! rn back
to God and to His truth.

I can’t help but to see the parallel to our nation today. We are living in unprecedented times my friend. I have warned you for many years that the day would come when simply declaring the Truth of the Bible would be against the law. With the new hate crimes bill now on the books, the government will be able to silence those who preach against the sin of homosexuality. Due to the murder a few years ago of that monster, late-term abortionist George Tiller, you will see very soon similar bills passed regarding speaking out against the sin of abortion.

It has been sad to watch the “priests” of our day respond like the priests in Israel in the Old Testament. Many of our “priests” today have sold out Christ for money. Others have watered down and compromised the truth of the Bible in order to not make any waves so nothing disrupted their “business.” It is this generation of comprised and gutless “priests” that has been as responsible as anythi! ng for
the spiritual decay of this nation.

There are but a handful of men who will go into the public arena and call homosexuality the sin that it is, call abortion murder and those who support it murderers, and declare the judgment of God on this nation if we don’t get on our knees and ask His forgiveness, repent, and turn back to God and His Truth. Those who obey God will be paying a huge personal price very soon. Those who dare to speak out publicly are targets just like Jeremiah was a target for the king of his day.

The attack on Christianity will be much like the way the kings in the Old Testament attacked religion. Leave the institutionalized church alone since it has little impact on the culture, and target those few “trouble makers” who dare to speak out publicly. That day is upon us. It will cause even more to compromise Scripture, water down the truth, and not make trouble. However, despite that attacks come, I will not be silenced, I will not shut up, and I w! ill keep
shouting from the rooftops the coming wrath and judgment of God if we don’t turn back to our Creator and to His Truth!

I love you and care about you so much. God always has a remnant. God always has a people. God always has a few Jeremiahs who will declare His Word regardless of the personal consequences. I will continue to call sin what it is, and call this nation to repent and to turn from its wickedness or face the judgment and wrath of God. It is in this spiritual void that I believe in my heart we can see real revival break out. The end result of all of these issues is that people are hurting, and deep down looking for hope and answers. We have the answers and hope they are looking for. There is still a small window for this nation to repent, turn back to God and to His Truth. Our time is now!

I can only encourage you today. God has raised up Liveprayer for this moment in human history. God gave me the vision for the Jonah Project last July. It is in place, ! we are
adding people daily, and now is your opportunity to take a real stand for Christ. God is calling you today, wants to use you today to help bring revival to this nation. yes, eventfully we will be judged for our sins and wickedness, but I believe we can stay God’s hand of judgment just like Nineveh did.

Over 120,000 souls were saved in Nineveh because they turned to God! I believe that we can see millions repent and turn to God in the wake of this revival. You can keep living your life, taking care of yourself, or you can sacrifice your life and allow God to use you for His glory. When you come to the end of your life, it is not what you did for yourself that will matter, but what you did for God. Read that again. When you come to the end of your life, it is not what you did for yourself that will matter, but what you did for God.

This nation is in spiritual freefall and turning back to God and His Truth is our only hope!!!

(Luke 19:1-10)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, help me this day to be a great ambassador for You! Let my conversation and my actions today draw people to Your hope and love. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

One of the things I love about reading the accounts of the ministry of Jesus was the fact He never lost sight of what He had come to do. He came to preach the Good News to the lost and hurting of the world. His ministry was NOT in the church of His day, but was to those outside of the church. Jesus took His message of hope into the streets to those who were living without God in their life, telling them that there was a better way to live. JESUS HAD SPIRITUAL GUTS!

Today, more than ever, we need men and women of God with those same spiritual guts. The church has become institutionalized and satisfied with the status quo. Forty years ago, it was simply a matter of opening the front door and the people would come. That is not true in! 2019.

We have a large percentage of 2 full generations now that do not attend church. Children that grew up in homes void of God are now having their own children, which of course, will also grow up in homes void of God. The world that we live in continues each day to boldly present a message that is in direct opposition to the Truth of God’s Word.

Sadly, rather than going out and challenging that ungodly message, the church has decided to withdraw from the world and isolate itself. Rather than being the salt and light God has called us to be, we have found it more “comfortable” to simply withdraw and stay to ourselves. We feel safe in our churches since we are with “our own kind.”

We have our OWN TV stations. We have our OWN radio stations. We have our OWN books and magazines. We have our OWN music. We have our OWN schools. Rather than using these great resources to reach the lost, we have found it is much easier (and more profitable) to simply “preach to the c! hoir” and
isolate ourselves from the rest of the world.

This message today is a wake-up call to men and women who love the Lord. God did not call us to isolate ourselves from this world, but to go out into the world and share the hope and love of Jesus Christ. I have never seen so many people that are afraid of the world that we live in. Did you not read in the Bible in 1 John 4:4 that tells you, “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world?”

Did you not read in the Bible that we are “more than conquerors?” Did you not read in the Bible that we are called to go out into the “highways” and invite the lost to know Christ? God did not call us to hide our light under a bushel, but to share that light with this dark world we live in! God is looking for men and women with “spiritual guts” to take His message to the lost and hurting of this world.

I love you and care about you so much. There is a world outside of the four walls of the church that is lost, hu! rting,
and looking for answers. They won’t come to church, watch Christian TV, listen to Christian radio and music, read Christian books and magazines, or go to Christian schools.

To reach these people, we have to do what Jesus did and GO TO THEM. Understand that when you take Christ into the world, they will not always be nice. They have lived their life rejecting God so most likely will not be open to your message. But never forget that your labor for the Lord is not in vain.

Even those who reject what you are saying have at least had a seed planted in their life. God will allow you to minister to people that are at a place in their life where they realize there has to be a better way. They WILL be open to accepting Christ as their Savior and changing their life. Jesus told us that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

The church has forgotten the most important part of being a Christian, and that is we are here to serve, NOT be served. We are li! ke Eli,
sitting in our grand palaces, getting so fat that we can’t even move. God has called us to rise up and take His message of Christ’s love to the lost and hurting of this world we live in. That my friend, takes spiritual guts!!!

(1 John 4:21, 2:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; Matthew 25:25)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, help me to be a blessing to someone I meet today. Help me to not be so self-absorbed that I miss the opportunity to be a good witness for You. Today, I yield myself to You. Use me for Your glory! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

The Bible is full of admonitions to love your brother, to love others. What an incredible way to show your love to someone that you never even met in this lifetime, than by donating your organs and giving the gift of life! What does God say about this? Obviously, there are no passages of scripture that speaks directly for or against donating your organs after you die. So as is often the case, we need to take the whole counsel of God into consideration in looking at this issue.

Our bodies serve two purposes during this life. They are the clay shells that we occupy during our brief journey, and for the believer, they become the te! mple of
the Holy Spirit during this life. The Bible is quite clear that when this life is over, it is our soul that lives on for eternity and our bodies will return to the “dust of the earth” as God mandated. Our bodies serve no further purpose once we are dead.

Many ask about the “body” we will have after death. Scripture is clear that whatever body we will have will be a glorified body. Many people have their bodies destroyed in death. Whether you choose to be buried or cremated, your body will be destroyed. In cremation it is burned, in burial it slowly decomposes until it is nothing more than dust. So the body we will possess post-death will be a glorified body.

Since our bodies serve no further purpose once we are dead, it simply becomes an issue for each person to decide how they will have their bodies disposed of. This means that before you are buried or cremated, donating your organs simply comes down to a choice each person has to make. If your organs are health! y and
able to be used by someone else, there is really no good reason NOT to donate them. The reality is, you are dead and you won’t need them any longer.

What a great way to show love for someone than by literally giving of yourself so that they can continue to live. God clearly calls us to love one another, to serve others. Donating your organs is an incredible act of love and service.

I love you and care about you so much. I will be praying for you today that you will seriously pray about this special act of love. God gives us many opportunities in our life to serve others. This is the last act of service that we can perform, one that can literally save the life of someone else. Remember this, all that we have is from God and is simply on loan to us during this brief journey. That includes our organs. I pray today that you will seriously consider donating your organs once you die and give the gift of life.

In His love and service,

Your friend, b! rother,

A new church for the year 2019!

(Revelation 1:11-3:22)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, give me a hunger for Your Word like never before. It is a lamp unto my feet. Give me a HUNGER FOR YOUR PRECIOUS LIVING WORD! May I make it a priority each day to spend time in the Bible during 2019. Let me know You better and hear Your voice clearer. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

I had an epiphany a while back. I am tired of having to pray every day for the finances of this ministry. I am tired of people sending me nasty and hateful emails. I am tired of warning people of God’s coming judgment. So I decided to start a new church. It will be THE best church man has ever known. You will be able to come every Sunday and never have to worry about feeling convicted because of the choices you are making. You will never have to hear about things like sin, service, or sacrifice. No, you just come each Sunday knowing that nobody will ever judge you or tell you how to live because you will be ! at . . .
THE CHURCH OF ANYTHING GOES!

I’m going to start this new church in Tampa, Florida where I live. I was thinking about a good place to meet and realized The Church of Anything Goes is going to be so popular we won’t be able to hold services in a normal building. So I’m going to call the Glazers who own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and rent Raymond James Stadium on Sunday mornings. RJ holds about 70,000 people and that may not even be large enough, since I have no doubt people will be running to attend services at The Church of Anything Goes. Within a year we will have branches of this new church in every city, town, and village in the U.S., and within two years, all over the world.

In planning some outreaches for The Church of Anything Goes, I came up with three right away. The first is an Adultery Pride Parade. I am so tired of seeing people who are only being themselves and have to have sex outside of their marriage being told they are wrong. After all, everyone know! s 99% of
the people who are married commit adultery. Everyone knows that people are born to have sex with multiple partners. I can’t understand why people are so intolerant, so judgmental of others who aren’t bothering them. Didn’t God say, “be fruitful and multiply?” God created people to have sex so why are people so upset with people who are married having sex with people who aren’t their spouse?

Those who have sex outside of their marriage have been made to feel shame long enough. It is time for them to “come out” and be proud of who they are. Why should anyone be ashamed of being an adulterer? A parade is the perfect answer. Marching up and down the streets of America, proudly proclaiming that, “I’m an adulterer!” Floats, balloons, marching bands, a real time to celebrate the joy of committing adultery. I can see this parade being broadcast on TV just like the Rose Parade on New Year’s or the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

The second outreach for ! the new
Church of Anything Goes is going to be political. I don’t know about you, but I think it is a shame that in this great country of such diversity, people who enjoy having sex with animals are treated like second class citizens, denied their basic human rights, discriminated against. If you happen to love a pig and people at your job find out about it, you are most likely going to be terminated. If you try to buy a new home for you and your chicken that are in a committed relationship, chances are good that you will be denied. If your significant other happens to be a goat, they aren’t going to be eligible for the same benefits married couples receive. A man and his sheep should be able to adopt children! How dare states limit marriage to a man and a woman, when a woman and her horse have every right to enjoy the happiness and fulfillment and full legal benefits of marriage.

No doubt one of the first outreaches of The Church of Anything Goes will be to help insure the le! gal
rights of those men and women, who by no fault of their own, were born to have sex with animals. In addition, we will start public awareness campaigns to help society be more tolerant. A good place to start will be in the schools, educating children through clubs and curriculum that there is nothing wrong with people who choose to have sex with animals. That is simply who they are, and just because you have a mother and father, some children have a dad and a goat.

The third big outreach we will have each year is Swap Days at Disney. The Church of Anything Goes will be a very popular church among those who like to trade wives and husbands. Swingers from all over the country can come to Disney one weekend a year and literally take over the facilities. They will book all the hotels and, of course, no need to close any room doors during Swap Days. They can go to the Magic Kingdom with their wife one day, visit the Animal Kingdom with their friend’s wife the next, go to Epc! ot the
next day with someone else’s wife, the possibilities are endless. After all, even though Disney promotes itself as a “family friendly” theme park, we all know that as long as a group can bring them millions of dollars they welcome them with open arms.

Okay, I better stop before too many of you start heading to St. Petersburg to have me committed. Because I have been doing this for so long and know some of you may have taken me seriously, let me state for the record that I was being facetious. Let me now be very serious. As much as I wish The Church of Anything Goes was a fictional church, I am sad to say that it really does exist. Of course they don’t have the guts to use that name, but in essence that is exactly how they operate. You will never hear about sin, how God expects us to live according to His Word, or about surrendering our lives to Him. You will only hear about how “God is love,” and all you have to do is try, and that we all sin so don’t worry about it, a! nd most
of all, do whatever makes you happy.

These are the churches that treat God’s Word like a “nice book with some good thoughts,” but not something you should take seriously. These are the churches where you will find gross sins like homosexuality, murdering babies, fornication, people living together without being married, and many others accepted and tolerated because they don’t want to “offend” anyone. In these churches, Truth is not found in the Bible but is whatever you want it to be. These churches tell people there really is no place called Hell and there are many roads leading to God. Such churches are an abomination to God and a stench in His nostrils!!!

I love you and care about you so much. Sadly, too many churches have turned into The Church of Anything Goes. Once we compromise the Absolute Truth of God’s Word, once that Book stops being our final authority in all matters, it literally does become a church that anything goes because you are now left solel! y to the
imaginations of men to decide what is right and wrong. There is only ONE TRUTH my friend, and that is found in the Bible. There is only ONE WAY to God, and that is through faith in His Son Jesus Christ.

You may have found the first paragraphs somewhat humorous, but if you go back and read them again they are actually very chilling. All I really did was take the prevailing mindset of this world and how it actually operates. People who have chosen to live in gross sin DO have parades to express their “pride” in the sin they have chosen. People who sin DO make excuses for their sin to try and justify how they choose to live, even using God’s Word out of context despite the fact they live in rebellion to that very Word. There really ARE tremendous political efforts underway and programs that exist to indoctrinate children in an effort to force society to accept as normal the sinful choices certain men and women make.

May we pray that in these last days the CHURCH, th! e Bride
of Christ and God’s number one instrument of change in our world will not be like those 7 churches in the Book of Revelation, but remain true to His Word and the work of equipping the saints and reaching the lost. Now more than ever the church must rise up to be all God calls it to be as we share the Truth of His Word and the hope and love of Christ with this lost and hurting world.

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

One of the more controversial issues in the church!

(1 Corinthians 12)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, help me to always be prepared to serve you in any way that I can. My life belongs to you. I am ready, willing, and able to answer your call as I go through my life each day. Use me for your glory. I am yours! In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

This is by far one of the most controversial issues in the church today. One of the things that grieves the heart of God the most is the division within His body. Perhaps nothing has divided the Body of Christ more than the issue of spiritual gifts. The sad fact is, it is a lack of understanding of this issue that has caused this division.

Those who worship in a Pentecostal or Charismatic style church, embrace this issue, often too much so. Those who worship in more mainline denominational style churches such as the United Methodist, Presbyterian, or Baptist, ignore this issue, often too much so. Like in most differences, the truth is usually somewhere ! in the
middle, and the issue of spiritual gifts is no different.

Let me first clear up some beliefs that are 100% incorrect. Many who do not embrace spiritual gifts take the position that they are not for this day, that at some point they ceased to exist. NOTHING could be farther from the truth. There is NO, ZERO, Biblical support for this. Jesus told his followers that they would do even GREATER things than He did. He healed people, raised the dead, fed the multitudes with a few loaves and fishes, among other miracles.

Likewise, those who hold to the belief that those who do not operate in certain gifts are not saved or spiritually immature, are just as wrong. The biggest issue in this area are those who claim that if you do not have the gift of tongues you do not have the Holy Spirit. 100% WRONG!

The Bible CLEARLY says that EVERYONE who is saved, receives the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is the “Promise” Jesus spoke of. The Spirit is the “Comforter.” Be! ing
YIELDED to the Spirit of God that resides within you is the issue.

When you hear of people being “baptized in the Holy Spirit,” if they are saved they already possess the Holy Spirit. What is actually happening is that they are YIELDING to the power of the Holy Spirit that is within them. THAT is something that each person must do every day to allow the power of the Holy Spirit to flow through their life. This hotly debated issue is more an issue of semantics than anything else.

As for Spiritual Gifts. These are special gifts that God gives to His children at specific times, for very specific purposes. God does not do ANYTHING by accident. Likewise, you cannot just activate the Gifts of God like you turn on a light switch. The biggest abuse of this is in the area of healing. YES, God does use human instruments to heal people. I will say that 99% of his human instruments are DOCTORS!

Can someone rent a 20,000 seat arena, have a 200-voice choir, an orchestra
majestically lead the crowd in 1 hour of praise and worship, at the height of this emotional experience, spend 45 minutes taking an offering, then open the altar for people to come forward and be healed and people are actually healed? Yes! But even in this kind of situation it is God using the faith of the individual, in accordance with HIS plan, that brings about the healing. Never forget, in the Bible when Jesus healed someone, He said, “go, thy faith has made thee whole!”

The point is you do not have to go to a big crusade or be in the presence of a certain person to be healed. It is JESUS who heals through our faith, and in accordance with God’s ultimate plan. I have millions of praise reports from people that have sent in healing requests to Liveprayer over the last 20 yeats who have been touched by God. Was there something magical about the prayers they got from here? NO.

But God did hear those prayers and used the faith of the person in accordance with Hi! s perfect
plan to bring about their healing. All Bill Keller or any other person can do is to pray with you and challenge you to believe, and to put your faith in God. The same Jesus who healed in the Bible, is the same Jesus that heals today.

The other gift that is greatly abused is that of the prophet. In the Old Testament, God often spoke through the prophet. Now that we have His Word, a prophet is someone who declares the oracles of God. A prophet is not a psychic, though God can give a prophet direction for a person or situation in advance. Most who call themselves prophets however, speak in a lofty language, and much like the psychics, speak in generalities that can apply to almost ANY situation.

I have always challenged ANYONE who wants to claim this gift to read what the Bible says about a prophet. The Biblical mandate for anyone claiming to be a prophet is that the FIRST time they are wrong, they are to be taken to the edge of the city and stoned to death. I wond! er how
many prophets and prophetesses there would be if this was their penalty for being wrong?

The bottom line to this sadly divisive issue is that spiritual gifts DO EXIST. They are NOT a sign of spiritual superiority but special gifts that God gives to His children at specific times for VERY specific purposes. The fact is that EVERY believer has at least one gift and no believer has ALL of the gifts. The Bible says we should desire the gifts of God so that we can better fulfill our purpose of serving Him. The purpose of this Devotional is not to get into a theological debate over this issue. I am not here for that purpose, and I refuse to allow myself to get entangled in that kind of exchange.

I realize that there is much teaching on this issue and possibly your church teaches things that might contradict what I have said. I will say this. One reason I rarely deal with this issue, is that like prophecy, people can get so focused on this one issue, that they forget th! e most
important issue of all which is what Liveprayer is here to do. That is to help you translate your faith into your everyday life and fulfill all that God intends for your life to be.

I have preached in churches of every denomination and the one common bond in every church, no matter WHAT position they take on issues like Spiritual Gifts is that there are people hurting, and looking for encouragement and answers in their day to day life.

I love you and care about you very much. I will be praying for you today, especially that you don’t allow an issue like Spiritual gifts divide you from other parts of the Body of Christ. Like Paul writes, we each are a different part of the SAME Body. I will pray however that you open your heart to all that God wants to do with and through your life. To accomplish that, He will often give you special gifts to carry out His work. I pray that you open your heart to His will and plan for your life. Never limit the power of God that a! llows you
to best serve Him.

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Babies…a gift from God!!!

(Genesis 33:5; Psalms 127:3; Proverbs 17:6; Deuteronomy 6:7)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, help me to be a blessing to someone I meet today. Help me to not be so self-absorbed that I miss the opportunity to be a good witness for You. Today, I yield myself to You. Use me for Your glory! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

While death is a sad part of this human experience we all have to deal with throughout our journey and one day face ourselves, today I want to deal with the other end of that spectrum, when life begins. One of the great joys I have each day is receiving emails from people excited that they are going to have a child. It is one of those special moments in a person’s life that crescendos less than a year later with the birth of that precious baby. It has been an honor and privilege to pray for so many babies still in the womb and in a few months receive a picture of one of those babies that is truly a gift from God.

Having a c! hild is
one of the greatest responsibilities a person has during this lifetime. Raising that child is without a doubt the most important ministry a parent will ever have. The Bible claims in 1 Timothy 5:8 that if you don’t take care of your relatives, especially those in your family you have denied the faith and are worse than an infidel or unbeliever.

There are no exceptions to this verse. It doesn’t say, unless you are a pastor. It doesn’t say, unless you are the head of a major company. It doesn’t say, unless you are too busy helping other people. The Word of God is clear that the number one responsibility of a parent is to your family and EVERYTHING else in your life is secondary.

I want every parent will take a moment right now, pray, and ask God if your spouse and children are truly the number one priority in your life after your relationship with Christ. If not, NOW is the time to make whatever changes that need to be made to insure they are!

For every man ! and woman
that is reading this today that is expecting a child, I want to encourage you to start praying over your child even know while that baby is still in the womb. Pray health over your baby. Pray protection over your baby. Pray God’s blessings over your baby. Pray that your baby will have a heart that yearns for Jesus.

Even after that baby is born, you need to be praying over your baby every day. God has entrusted this life into your care. Prayer demonstrates our dependence upon God. Never in your life will you be more tested and more dependent upon the Lord than in raising your child.

As your child begins to get older, teaching that child how to pray, reading the Word of God to your child, making sure your child is in church every week, are all ways to follow God’s Word and raise that child in the admonition of the Lord. GOD HAS GIVEN YOU THE RESPONSIBILITY OF RAISING YOUR CHILD IN THE FAITH AND WILL HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6,! “Train a
child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” The greatest thing you will ever do for your child is to lay a foundation of faith in Christ and God’s Word in their life!

Listen moms and dads. As your child gets older they will begin to make their own decisions. At some point, you won’t be able to make their choices for them. That is why laying that foundation of faith is so critical. Let me make sure you understand something. You are NOT responsible for the decisions they make. Just like your mother and father were not responsible for the decisions you made, you are not responsible for the decisions your children will make.

That is why those early years are so critical, since what they learn in those early years will help to shape the choices they make as they get older. Know that even if they turn from the Lord at some point, when times get difficult it is that spiritual foundation you helped lay in their life that will sustain the! m. Just
like the prodigal son made some horrible decisions, when he hit rock bottom he knew to “go home” to his father.

Let me speak for a minute directly to those who have had the pain of losing a child before you were able to give birth, as well as those who have had a baby or child die. Let me remind you the Bible tells us that tomorrow is promised to none of us. That means each day is a gift from God whether we are in the womb, 2 months old, 5 years old, 15, 40, or 90 years old. We will never fully understand why God chooses to allow someone to die when they do.

However, the greatest desire and goal of any parent should be for their child to know Christ as their Savior and have the assurance of everlasting life. For those who have lost a baby in the womb or a baby or young child, you can be assured that your baby or child is forever with the Lord. The only thing that will send a person to hell is rejecting Christ as their Savior and since your baby or child never ha! d that
opportunity, they are with the Lord for eternity.

Also, I know that many of you are in tears today because you so desperately want a child and for reasons only God knows, you have not been able to conceive. Again, why your prayers have not been answered is something only God knows for certain, but let me encourage you to continue to pray for a child, knowing that with God ALL things are possible.

We have too many testimonies both from God’s Word and from so many people of how God allowed them to conceive later in life after many years of not having any children. Also, never forget that God may have a special calling on your life to be a mom or dad to a child by adoption. There are so many children who have been given up for adoption who need Godly parents, and God may be calling you to have a child by adoption.

I love you and care about you so much. There is nothing more exciting in life than finding out that you are going to have a child, going through th! ose
months of preparing for the birth of your child, and then that incredible day you will never forget as long as you live when your baby is born. Of course, that is also the start of the most important job you will ever have in this life, raising your child.

Let me close today with a special prayer of blessing for your baby, whether this baby is still in the womb or recently born, and for you to be the Godly parents God has called you to be.

“Father, I pray today for those precious babies who are still in the womb. I pray oh Lord that You will touch these precious lives and make their bodies healthy, their minds sharp, and their hearts tender towards the Lord. I pray oh Lord that You will bring forth these precious babies from the womb in your perfect timing and that these babies will grow and mature into mighty men and women of God should Jesus tarry in His return. For those babies and children, I pray oh Lord that You will protect them from the evils of this dar! k world.
I pray oh Lord that they will be raised in the admonition of the Lord, in the strength of Your Word, and become great men and women of God to lead Your people in these last days.

Father, I lift up the moms and dads of these children. Give them Your strength, Your wisdom, Your discernment as they raise their children in the ways of the Lord. I pray oh Lord that You will guide them and help them to be the Godly moms and dads to their children You have called them to be. Bless their homes oh Lord, let the Spirit of the living God be present and make their home and lives great beacons of light in this lost and dying world I pray blessings on these babies and children, blessings on these moms and dads in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!”

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller
