What Does God Say about the Immigration Issue?

(Romans 13:1-7)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, I know that it is your desire that ALL come to repentance, that none be lost. Please give me a passion for souls. Help me to look at each person and never forget that they are created in your image, that one day they will die, and they have an eternal soul. Take away any fear, any hesitancy, to share the hope we have in Jesus with those people you bring into my life. Let me never forget that without Jesus, their soul will be lost for all eternity and do my part to share with them how they can have everlasting life through faith in Jesus who died for their sins. It is in the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

What does God say about the immigration issue? The last I checked, there were laws in this nation governing how people who are not citizens of the United States can come here legally. It really confuses me why immigration is such a hotly debated issue. It is very simple. If you are in this country illegally, you should be deported back to your country of origin. I don’t care if that means deporting 100 people, 1,000 people, or the apx. 12 million people who are in this country illegally, send them back to the country they came from!

Many argue that it is not reasonable to deport the apx. 12 million people in this country illegally. It is not only reasonable, but if we don’t then we should change the immigration laws to state anyone can come to this country without any restrictions. I assure you that if you were in any other country illegally, you would be deported. Try going to say, Mexico, or Japan, or most countries without proper documentation and see what happens to you!!!

I am well aware that people argue we need the 12 million illegal aliens to do jobs that others won’t. It is also argued “big business” is all for illegal aliens since they can pay them far below fair market value. Again, this is not difficult. If a business is hiring illegal aliens, prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. There are laws on the books governing this type of practice by business, enforce them!

Those in the “religious left” who support the legalized slaughter of innocent babies, same-sex marriage, the enemies of Israel, and everything else God loves and stands for in the Bible, also support allowing illegal immigrants to stay despite the fact they broke the law to get here. They claim it is the compassionate thing to do and Jesus would be all for illegal aliens. Really? I don’t know what Bible they read but the Lord said to obey those in authority over us. JESUS SAID TO OBEY THE LAW, NOT BREAK THE LAW!!!

People are free to believe whatever they want in regard to this issue, but the Bible is very clear. Nowhere in the Bible does it support breaking the law. This nation, like all nations, has very clear laws regarding how foreigners can come to this nation legally. Those who break the law should be deported immediately just like you would be deported if you were in another country illegally.

I have not even dealt with the national security issue at stake. Only God knows the number of Muslims who have entered this country illegally and have “blended in,” simply waiting for the right time to carry out some terrorist act on our soil. We already know far too well the number of illegal aliens involved in criminal activities like drugs, guns, human trafficking, and kidnapping to name just a few.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize that this is a passionate issue for many. Everyone is free to their own opinion on immigration, but I choose to go to our final authority in all issues, the Bible! God is clear that breaking the law is never acceptable. Those who have come to this country illegally have broken the law and should be immediately deported.

If Congress wants to change those laws, let them do it. But until they do, the government has a responsibility to enforce the laws that currently exist and protect the citizens of this nation from those who would come here illegally, many of those people coming here to commit other criminal acts, and no doubt, some of those who have come to commit acts of terror on our soil!

(Matthew 26:41; 1 Corinthians 10:13; 1 John 4:4)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, this nation is under your judgment for our sin, wickedness, and rebellion. Help me to be courageous as I stand for you in these perilous times. Use me as a beacon of your light in the darkness of our world today. Though our enemies surround us, the world around me curses you, help me to stand for your Truth that will ultimately defeat the lies of satan. May the evil of this world become so apparent, people will begin to bow their knee to you in repentance knowing YOU are their only hope and only answer! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” – (Matthew 26:41 NIV)

“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” – (1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV)

Some days it is easy to dismiss what you read in the Devotional since it doesn’t directly apply to your life at that moment. That is a key point of this Devotional today. Satan is out to get YOU and you will be shocked at how he will try to accomplish that, and even more shocked when you wake up one morning and find yourself in one of his traps that you never dreamed you would be in.

Every day I read emails from people that start out, “I can’t believe I am in this situation.” Sin is so subtle, can start out so innocently. I don’t know how many people we deal with each day who became addicted to pain killers after using them legally under the supervision of a doctor. We deal daily with people who let a few glasses of wine with dinner enslave them to alcohol. Often I hear from dear people who went to play the slot machines at a local casino for a night of “fun,” and have now destroyed their finances due to gambling.

Over and over I hear of work friendships that turn into adulterous affairs. Sadly, I deal too often with pastors and men and women in the ministry who allowed themselves to get too close, too emotionally involved in the life of someone of the opposite sex, and it ended up destroying their marriage and their work for God.

Please hear me today when I tell you to NEVER, EVER, think you are above falling into any type of sin. Just because you may not have a propensity towards drugs and could never see yourself in that bondage, doesn’t mean one day you won’t. Just because you don’t have a propensity to drink and could never see yourself bound by alcohol, doesn’t mean one day you won’t. Just because you love your wife or husband and could never imagine in your wildest dreams having an affair, doesn’t mean one day you won’t.

The point is, NEVER, EVER feel you are above any sin, because you are not. In most cases, it is those areas of your life that you feel you are the strongest where you are most likely to fall!

Perhaps quicksand is the best example of what it is like to be in one of satan’s traps. You sink, slowly to your death in quicksand. If you try to get out by yourself, it only pulls you in deeper. That is exactly what it is like when you wake up one morning and find yourself in sin. For some of you, your quicksand may be drugs, alcohol, gambling, shopping, food, or any of a number of other addictions. For others, your quicksand may be a sexual sin. For still others, your quicksand may be greed and the lust of things this world has to offer. Regardless of what your quicksand may be, the question now is how do you get out?

The first step is to realize that you are in a situation that on your own you can’t get out of. If you were strong enough to get out, you wouldn’t have fallen into this trap in the first place. So now is the time you have to humble yourself before the Lord and come to Him for help. That begins with repentance and asking the Lord to forgive you. I’m not talking about that “I’m sorry I got caught” type of repentance either. But having a real, broken and contrite heart for sinning against the Lord and seeking His forgiveness for your sins. He knows your heart and He knows if you are sincere or just trying to use Him to get out of the trouble you are in.

The second step is to fully surrender yourself to the Lord and submit yourself to whatever His plan is for getting you out of the quicksand. We all want God to come swinging down out of the trees like Tarzan in the movies, grabbing our outstretched hand and pull us out of the quicksand, placing us on solid land. He may do it that way too. He also may take us out the slow way as well. We may have to stay in that quicksand for a while, simply being sustained by His grace and mercy. You are in no position to tell God how to rescue you, just be thankful that if you surrender to Him, He will.

Never forget that there are ALWAYS consequences for our actions. Once we are out of the quicksand, it is very possible that we will have to deal with the consequences of our choice to rebel against the Lord. The key is, Christ is our ONLY hope to get out of the quicksand and to eventually get our lives back on track where they need to be. We must surrender ourselves completely to Him and know that it will only be His grace and mercy that will see us through whatever we have to face in that process.

The third step is that time of restoration. After we have fallen, been rescued, we now need to have our relationship with the Lord restored. No doubt one of the greatest examples of this process is Peter being restored by our Lord after he denied Jesus on the night He was taken in the Garden of Gethsemane. (Note: Peter is a perfect example of a man who fell into a sin he would have never expected to. Denying Christ is probably the last sin Peter ever expected to commit, proving my earlier point how we are immune to NO sin.)

The restoration of Peter is a powerful and encouraging message that even if you have failed the Lord, sinned against Him, He is ready to forgive you and restore you to fellowship. The Peter we read about in the Book of Acts after being restored by Jesus, is a powerful and bold man of faith who helped to lead the early church.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize that the Devotional today is not easy to read. I realize that it has caused many of you to literally break down in tears as you were reading these words, knowing that God Himself was speaking to you. Listen my friend, He loves you! He loves you more than you will ever know. God is there to try and protect you from satan and his traps. But you do have free will, and in exercising your free will you can choose to obey the Lord or rebel against Him.

Satan does not play by any rules and is out to destroy you. He will use whatever tricks and traps he can to accomplish that. That is why as I stated yesterday you must stay close to the Lord each day thru the Word and prayer, stay busy, especially finding ways to serve the Lord so that you aren’t as likely to dwell on your flesh and the allure of this world. The message today is that you are not above ANY type of sin, so you must always be on guard and don’t ever think you are immune from being tempted by the evil one.

We all sin, we all fail God at times. The key is if you wake up one morning and find yourself in the quicksand, realize you can’t get out without the Lord’s help. Humble yourself before Him and submit to His plan in getting you out. Lastly, allow Jesus to restore you to fellowship. Failure does not mean you are finished. Often your greatest works for the Lord come AFTER you have failed and have been restored to His fellowship.

Satan is out to get YOU. However, I want to leave you today with that powerful promise we have in God’s word, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” – (1 John 4:4 NIV)

Unanswered Prayer

(Isaiah 45:9; Romans 9:21)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, guide me throughout this day. Give me your strength to be a blessing to those I meet along my journey today. Let your light in me shine brightly as I represent you during this day. I love you, and let me show that love as I live for you today. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

I have a very practical word for you today since it deals with an issue we all struggle with. Every person reading this today has some unanswered prayer that you are waiting for God to answer. For some, it may be a prayer about finances, for others, it may be a prayer about healing, and for still others, it may be a prayer regarding your marriage. No matter what the specific need is, everyone who is reading these words today has something you are praying about and are waiting on God to answer.

The biggest mistake I see people make who are waiting on God for an answer is they start drifting away from God. When you are waiting on God to answer you, that is the time to press in to God, not pull away from God. But we humans are impatient. Especially in 2017 when we have our cell phones, FedEx, drive-thru food, we don’t want to wait even one second for ANYTHING. That includes having our prayers answered! So we get impatient when God doesn’t respond to our prayers like he is our personal concierge, our “gofer,” our assistant who we give our “to do” list to in the morning and expect it completed by 5.

This just in, God is the CREATOR, we are HIS CREATION! Does the clay tell the potter what to do? God in His infinite grace and mercy allows us to bring our petitions to Him, gives us unlimited access to His throne room to share our hearts’ desires, but that doesn’t mean God is obligated to answer our prayers the way we want or in the time we want. A thousand years is as a day to the Almighty. While waiting an hour, a day, a week, a month, even a year may seem like a LONG TIME to us, it is the blink of an eye in relationship to eternity. The fact is, God is not bound by time/space as we are.

However, when God does not respond in our timing, we get mad at God. We blame whatever we are facing on God for not stepping in as we had requested. We stop reading the Word every day. We stop praying every day. We stop going to church. We start slowly drifting away from God and soon we get far enough away from Him that we become an easy target for satan.

We know, of course, satan is a liar, the father of lies. He lies to us that God really doesn’t love us or He would have answered our prayer by now. He lies to us that God has more important things to do than worry about our needs. He lies to us that we have sinned too much to be worthy of God answering our prayers. He lies to us that we are fools to believe God could answer our prayers even if He wanted to.

During this time we face the daily temptations life brings our way and in our weakened state we give in to the temptation. We end up having an affair. We end up drinking. We end up gambling. We end up doing drugs. We end up being mean to our spouse and children. We end up making poor choices because we drifted from God and wake up one morning and find ourselves in real trouble.

It is at this point that we make our way back to the Lord. Like the prodigal son we humble ourselves and ask for forgiveness. We get back into our daily discipline of praying and reading the Word. We get back into church on a regular basis. We rekindle our close, daily, intimate relationship with the Lord. God is merciful as He not only forgives us and welcomes us back home, but He helps us to overcome the damage we have done during the time we were away.

Let me share with you today what you should be dong while you are waiting for God to answer you. You press in even closer to the Lord! While you are waiting for God to respond, you keep praying every day, pray even more. While you are waiting on God to respond, you keep reading the Word, read even more. While you are waiting on God to respond, you keep going to church, go even more. WHILE YOU ARE WAITING ON GOD TO RESPOND YOU CONTINUE TO BE ABOUT YOUR FATHERS BUSINESS, SINCE, AS YOU ARE ABOUT HIS BUSINESS HE WILL BE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS!

I love you and care about you so much. I know many of you today are living on life’s edge because you have great needs you have brought to God and are simply waiting on Him to respond. While satan will fill you with his lies, let me give you some TRUTH today. God loves you so much. God cares about you and everything that goes on in your life. God is your hope and rock in the good times and bad. God hears your cries. God is able to meet every need you will ever have in this life. God’s timing is not our timing, but God is never too early or too late.

I know how frustrated you are waiting for God to respond. The key to finding peace as you wait is to know that God knows you and your needs better than you do. Press in to the Lord during this time you are waiting. Be about Gods’ business. Keep serving Him faithfully. As you are obedient and faithful in your service, you will wake up one day and realize God has responded. It may not be the exact way you wanted, it may not be the exact answer you wanted, but God will respond.

I will be praying for you today. Praying for you to stay strong in the midst of whatever your battles may be. Praying for you to find God’s peace during your trials. Never forget that He loves you and cares about you so much and is with you always. He has not abandoned you, not forsaken you, but is with you each step of the way. Keep your eyes focused on the Lord, continue to be about His business, and know that in His perfect timing God will respond!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

I Get Excited to Wake Up and See What God has in Store for the Day

(Matthew 6:25; Job 9:25; James 4:14)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, YOU are my provider. You know my daily needs. You promised to care what I need each day for life….food, shelter, clothing. I put my trust in you. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and I come to you today to thank you for providing for my needs in the past, and knowing my needs today. Today, I come to you, asking you to meet those needs as I glorify you for your provision. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

I don’t know about you, but I get EXCITED to wake up and see what God has in store for the day. For me, every day is like Christmas. Virtually every day I have a very packed and tight schedule and am required to be at certain places at certain times. So I pretty much know going into each day what I will be doing each hour. Despite that rigid structure, I still get charged up since I know as the day unfolds God is with me each moment and that He is in control of everything that happens.

Even when things don’t go exactly as I would hope or plan, I have great peace in knowing that God is still on His throne and still in control. I also know that during each day, He is going to bless me in ways I had not even considered or thought of. I don’t know about you, but I enjoy God’s blessings and can’t wait to see what they will be that day.

I realize that the first thought many of you had as you read the opening line, “Are you ready to have a GREAT day,” is “is this guy crazy?” You are thinking, how can I have a great day when I am in such a financial mess? You are thinking, how can I have a great day when my body is ravaged with pain and sickness? You are thinking, how can I have a great day when I am mourning the loss of someone I loved so much. You are thinking, how can I have a great day when my marriage is on the verge of divorce. You are thinking, how can I have a great day when I am enslaved to drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, shopping, illicit sex, or whatever bondage you may be in.

You are thinking, how can I have a great day when my children are living in rebellion to God and in trouble. You are thinking, how can I have a great day when I can’t find a good job. You are thinking, how can I have a great day when I am failing in school You are thinking, how can I have a great day when my car is broken and I have no way to get around. You are thinking, how can I have a great day when I have to go to court to fight some legal battle. You are thinking, how can I have a great day when _____ (you fill in the blank) is going on in my life.

My word for you today is to not let the day-to-day challenges of life burden you to the point you stop looking forward to each day. The Bible tells us that tomorrow is promised to NONE OF US, and that each day is literally a gift from God. We need to embrace the day for what it is, a gift from God, and be thankful for it despite whatever challenges the day may bring our way. We live in a sin-filled and evil world. Because of that, we will always have trials and tribulations, always have battles and challenges, but we can still have peace and joy because we know that God will help us be victorious over those trials and tribulations, those battles and challenges!

You, and nobody else controls how you view each day. You can either allow the problems of your life to overwhelm you and consume you to the point you dread every minute, or, you can find your strength in the Lord to rise above those problems and look forward to each moment. It is YOUR CHOICE to either walk in defeat or victory. Listen to me very carefully, this is one of those Holy Ghost moments so don’t miss it. YOU DICTATE WHETHER YOU WALK IN VICTORY OR DEFEAT, NOT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES. This is heavy so pay close attention. YOU DICTATE WHETHER YOU WALK IN VICTORY OR DEFEAT, NOT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES!

Christ already won the victory 2000 years ago. If you have asked Him into your heart and life by faith, then you have the ability to live your life in HIS VICTORY if you choose to. Living in that victory is not dictated by the circumstances of your life, living in that victory is dictated by you choosing to trust God with your problems knowing that He is able to help you solve each one. God will give you the strength, and wisdom, and favor, and direction in handling the problems you will encounter throughout each day. Fighting through the problems of the day is simply part of life. Don’t let your problems keep you from having a GREAT DAY!!!!

I love you and care about you so much. Don’t let anything or anyone stop you from having a GREAT DAY today. I will be praying for you to start getting excited about each day as you wake up. Remember, it is a day like none other. Once it is over, you can’t get it back, so enjoy every moment and make each moment count! I know many of you are fighting great battles today, you have many problems. But never forget the Bible tells us that “the battle is the Lord’s.” God will fight for you.

So cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you. He promised to carry your burdens so let Him. He loves you and WANTS TO BLESS YOU TODAY! So get ready and HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

A Godless Culture Cries Out!

(Matthew 7:12, 22:37-39)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please guide my steps this day. Help me to walk in your light and strength and not in my own ways. Thank you for your many blessings, most that I take for granted. Help me this day to acknowledge your love, grace, and goodness as I live my life for you and do my best to glorify you in all of my thoughts, words, and deeds. This I ask in the name of Jesus. AMEN!

***COMMENTARY: As we commemorate the 44th anniversary of his nation legalizing the slaughter of innocent babies, there is a black cloud of death hanging over this nation that is getting darker with each passing day. I want to share with you today a Daily Devotional I wrote 9 years ago on what was at that time a “Godless culture,” focusing on what was a new brutal sport of Mixed Martial Arts.

It is well worth the time to look back, especially on one specific comment I made, “I have said for many years now, that there is only one place for reality television to go, one place for Pay-Per-View events to go, and that is to display people getting killed.” Sadly, that day is here only it is worse than I thought. For FREE you can watch on Facebook and other social media platforms gang rapes, people being brutally tortured, and yes, people LITERALLY taking their own life!!!

A Godless culture cries out! Last Friday, I shared with you the sad and almost unbelievable story of a group of 3rd graders in Georgia who were plotting to kill their teacher ( http://liveprayer.com/ddarchive3.cfm?id=3282 ). Not a week later, comes the story from Central Florida of 6 high school cheerleaders who lured another high school girl to the home of one of the 6 where they proceeded to attack her and beat her until she was unconscious. The reason? To film the brutal attack and post it on the Internet!

For years now, I have been warning you about the public’ insatiable appetite for blood and brutality, as ultimate fighting has become a mainstream “sport.” I guess it was inevitable, but it wasn’t bad enough you had grown men locked in a steel cage with the sole intention of beating one another into bloody submission, or even two grown woman involved in the barbaric form of fighting, but now you have 6-year-olds involved. Yes, you heard me, children as young as SIX, locked in a steel cage where the sole goal is to incapacitate their opponent, while their parents and other adults cheer them on.

I’ve got to be honest with you. While I don’t condone for a second what former Falcon quarterback Michael Vick did in running a dog fighting ring, I find it almost laughable that he is in prison for several years, has had his NFL career destroyed, not to mention this all cost him probably $100 million dollars when it is all over in addition to two years of his life, while it is perfectly legal for parents to put their 6-year-old children in ultimate fighting matches where the sole goal is to beat the living daylights out of your opponent. If fighting dogs is illegal, if fighting roosters is illegal, it has to be illegal to fight children!!!

Ultimate fighting is the hottest “sport.” How far have we really come (or not), from the days of the Roman Coliseum? One of the contentions I have consistently made over the years is that man has never really changed from the Garden of Eden. We read about man’s inhumanity to man as early as the 4th chapter of Genesis in the story of Cain and Abel. Since man’s fall in the Garden, evil has been part of the human experience and is all around us. It takes on many forms. One of those forms has been evil masquerading as sport.

Throughout human history, sports, men competing against each other has been part of our world. In the capitalistic world of today, never before has sport become such a huge and lucrative business. It is very rare to find sports being played in its purest form any longer. In 2008 sports at almost every level are guided and ruled by one thing, money. In looking back on the history of sports, there have always been those physical competitions pitting one man’s strength and abilities against another. Most of these “fighting sports” like wrestling and boxing concluded when one man had an advantage over the other. However, there has always been more violent and brutal forms of fighting that often included weapons. These types of fights would only end when one man killed the other.

We often think back to the days of the Roman Coliseum. The “sporting events” they hosted with capacity crowds in attendance were fights amongst men to the death. As one man would gain an advantage over his opponent, the fight would conclude with the “death shot.” This would literally be one man killing the other to the wild cheers of the crowd. The halftime show at these Coliseum events would include taking men and women, often Christians, and putting them in the ring with a team of hungry lions. Of course, it was only a matter of time before each met their horrible death in the jaws of the lion, again, as the crowd cheered on. Of course we look at those days and say how barbaric, how inhumane, who could find any pleasure in seeing such brutality and death?

Well, the answer to that is WE WOULD! The hottest new “sport” that is now getting mainstream acceptance is ultimate fighting. Ultimate fighting has evolved from the underground fight clubs where men would fight other men with no rules or any other goal but to incapacitate their opponent. The underground fight clubs in Asia have been famous for centuries and death was often the end result for the loser of those fights. Years ago when ultimate fighting began to emerge in the United States as a form of sport, it was still in a pretty no-holds-barred brutal form. As corporate money has begun to flow into this new sport, they have instituted more rules, doing that to sanitize the action in able to market it to a more mainstream audience.

However, even in this sanitized form, it is still a brutal contest between two men with the goal of incapacitating your opponent. I will guarantee you that as this sport gains in popularity, there will emerge competing “leagues” who will do away with many of the new rules to take it back to a more brutal form that the masses will crave. I have said for many years now, that there is only one place for reality television to go, one place for Pay-Per-View events to go, and that is to display people getting killed. The only thing that is missing from ultimate fighting is the “death shot,” that moment when one man has clearly beat his opponent, rendered him helpless, and then wins the match by killing him. I have no doubt that it won’t be very long before you will be able to pay $79 on PPV and see that type of “sporting event.”

My friend, we humans have an incredible capacity to hurt others. Sadly, we see it every day here at Liveprayer. Most do it in non-violent ways. Selfishly leaving your spouse and often your children after many years of marriage. Saying things that we know will hurt someone. Making decisions that inflict pain in people’s lives. There are endless ways man inflicts heartache and pain on others. Why do people love to commit the sin of gossiping so much? They love to hear of others pain. Why do we drive by a car accident and have to slow down to look? We have this morbid curiosity with seeing others in pain.

The fact is, most people don’t love their neighbor nor do they “do unto others.” That is why those who follow these admonitions from the Lord stand out. It is not normal in this fallen world to love others as you love yourself. It is not normal in this fallen world to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. These principles go against the grain of how the world lives and teaches people to live. This world teaches people to love themselves above all, to put themselves first at all times. This world teaches to do unto others before they do unto you. It is the law of the jungle, kill before you are killed. So with this being the prevailing mindset of how the world lives, it is no wonder man has no real capacity to love or care for other men. That mindset transcends even to the “sports” they watch to entertain themselves.

I love you and care about you so much. The ultimate fighting craze is only a microcosm of where we are as a people, but I believe a very telling one. It only demonstrates that our desire to be entertained by watching men suffer now becoming a mainstream form of entertainment, is simply further proof of how far our society and culture has deteriorated. It is also further proof of how far away we are from God. We no longer even try to hide our gross sexual perversion or our debauchery. We no longer have any shame or guilt and curse those who remind us of our sins. We live in open and defiant rebellion to the God of the Bible, His Truth and have rejected the love of Jesus in our lives.

We escape through the use of alcohol, drugs, gambling, deny our flesh nothing as we feed it with pornography and illicit sex of every kind imaginable, and find entertainment in seeing men brutalized and killed. Oh, now more than ever this lost world needs to turn to Jesus. He is the only answer and hope. I realize that the world doesn’t want to hear about the Lord, but we see every day the destroyed lives of people who are looking for hope. That is why we do this each day. Fight to reach as many as we can through the Internet. Fight to reach as many as we can through the TV program. Look for new ways to reach the lost masses. I know there are people who are looking for a better life, who are tired of living in sin, who do yearn for real peace and joy. That is why with every breath I have, I will keep doing all I can to reach them with the hope and love of Jesus!

Please pray today for parents to NOT allow their children to get involved in this brutal form of “sport.” Pray for those you know who may find ultimate fighting entertaining. They have bought into the lies of this world that it is acceptable to enjoy watching men brutalize each other. Like drugs, and alcohol, and sex, and gambling, once their appetite for such violence is whetted, they will need to see more brutality, more violence to satisfy their cravings. Ultimately, only seeing men die in the name of sport will satisfy them. This is not a fad that will go away. It is not only here to stay, but will evolve into more brutal forms as the years go by. Ultimately, like in all things, the only real answer is to see the hearts of men changed by the power of God. Changed from hearts that seek to view their neighbor destroyed, to hearts that seek to love their neighbor as their selves. Our Godless culture is crying out.

You Could Be Wasting Your Life

(John 10:10)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please help me to live this day honoring you in my thoughts, words, and deeds. Help me this day to live my life pleasing and acceptable to Jesus. Allow me to use my life to help someone else during this day, and be kind to everyone I come across no matter how they may treat me. Let Christ shine through me throughout this day oh Lord, be glorified through my life! In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!

YOU could be wasting your life. If you smoke, drink alcohol, do drugs, abuse food, engage in sex outside of marriage, gamble, are greedy, or in any other kind of bondage…you ARE wasting your life away. The problem is the bondages in our life sap the very life out of us each day.

The time spent engaged in some sort of bondage, and then recovering from our episodes, is precious time that we could be doing something productive for God. The bondages we get involved in dominate our thoughts. They cause health problems. Once you are involved in any kind of bondage, you are wasting away your precious life.

Today’s Devotional is one of the shortest I have ever written. It is designed to do only one thing. To make you STOP, perhaps for the first time in a LONG time, and be honest with yourself. Ask yourself what has become a bondage that could be destroying your very life.

Of course all bondage is from satan. His purpose is very clearly defined in our verse today. It is to KILL, STEAL, and DESTROY. He wants to kill you to keep you from an everlasting relationship with God. He wants to steal your joy and peace to keep you down. He wants to destroy you so that you are of no use to God.

Because of the victory Jesus won on the cross 2,000 years ago, YOU CAN LIVE IN VICTORY!!! Satan can only win if you quit fighting and let him!!!

I love you and care about you so much. I can’t force you to stop whatever has you in bondage today, but I can pray for you. Our life is so short even under the best circumstances, that we need to treat each day as the gift from God that it is. When we waste it by allowing a bondage in our life to take over, we lose out on so much.

I will be praying today that for those of you NOT in some form of bondage in your life, you stay strong and avoid allowing yourself to get caught in that trap. For those who are fighting some bondage in your life today, let me tell you that God is a God of deliverance. I will be praying today that you open your heart and hear HIM speaking to you today. IT IS NO ACCIDENT THAT YOU ARE READING THIS TODAY!!!

Please know God loves you so much. Take a moment and be honest with yourself. If you have allowed some form of bondage to take over your life, TODAY can be a day of deliverance for you. Don’t waste another moment of your precious life. God has blessings for you that you cannot even begin to comprehend. Never forget, the devil has only one goal. To kill, steal, and destroy. Jesus came to give you life, and life more abundantly. Take your life back today, and LIVE!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Gender Division is the Latest Ploy Used by those Seeking to Fulfill their Own Political Goals

(Genesis 2:15, 3:19; Proverbs 13:4; Genesis 1:27; Galatians 3:28)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Father, I thank you for this day. I know that today was not promised to me, but it is a gift from You. Dear God, You know the pain I have today from what has happened in my life. I am tired of carrying this pain with me day after day. It is robbing me of my joy, of my peace, of knowing the abundance that this life can offer. I trust Your Word today that tells me that I can give this burden to You, that You will take it from me. I trust Your Word today that tells me to cast my cares on You, because You care for me. In the name of Jesus, I give You the pain of my past today. In the name of Jesus, I surrender it to You. Take it from me, and fill me right now with Your joy, with Your peace, and let me live from this day forward in FREEDOM FROM MY PAST! In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!!!

Gender division is simply the latest ploy used by those seeking to fulfill their own selfish personal or political goals! Division of any kind, the color of your skin, the amount of your bank account, or anything else man uses to pit one group of people against another is right from the playbook of satan and has been used since the Garden of Eden. The first murder occurred as Cain killed his brother out of jealousy! Sadly today, men and women are being divided simply by virtue of their gender.

It is NOT an accident that last year you had a major publication like the Rolling Stone magazine committing gross journalistic malpractice with their story of a woman claiming she was gang raped at a University of Virginia frat party which they have now said really didn’t happen. Actress Lena Dunham had a book published by Random House, a major book publisher, where she spoke of being raped in college by a “Republican.” It now turns out the person she claimed to be her rapist really wasn’t. Add to these examples the mythical “war on women” by one of the two major political parties, and you can see that there are people who for personal and/or political gain are purposely trying to divide men and woman.

This has been made possible largely due to the blurring of the Biblical roles of men and women over the last 50 years, until today those roles have all but been obliterated. In the rebellion that emerged in the 60s, God’s defined roles for men and women became a huge target by radical groups of women. Just recently, a study was released that 41% of the primary breadwinners are now women. Of course, the secular media cheered this report, but was there really something to cheer about? In context, just 50 years ago, one generation, that percentage of women who were the primary breadwinner was just 11%. I submit to you today this study proves what I have been saying for years and is not something to celebrate, but lament!!!

I have no doubt that this will be one of the more unpopular Devotionals I have ever written, but it is a message that is long overdue. I am always amused at the feminists and liberal theologians that state the Bible is anti-woman and that Paul was a male chauvinist. Nobody who understands God’s Word would make such a foolish claim since nothing could be further from the truth. The Bible is very much PRO woman and clearly teaches that God made men and women 100% equal with separate roles to play. Paul, in teaching equality between men and women, was a pioneer for women’s rights in a day when women were viewed as little more than property. One of the roles God has called men to play is that of a leader, a role many men have failed to live up to.

Out of the rebellion in the ’60s came the women’s movement. Satan is a liar, and the lie he told to women was that they needed to be equal with men. But if you read and study God’s Word, the TRUTH, you realize that according to God a woman is already equal to a man. Men and women are 100% equal, they simply have different roles to play. Sadly, women bought this lie and for what little strides there may have been in regard to women getting a few more dollars for their work, the long-term consequences have been disastrous for women, men, children, and society as a whole.

Two generations later the results are men and women living totally outside of the roles God intended for them to have, neither really being sure any longer what those roles even are. Let me be so bold to say that we now have the largest percentage of 2 generations of men who are spineless, gutless, confused, and lost. They fail to lead in their marriage. They fail to lead in their homes. They fail to lead in their careers. They are not the leaders God has called them to be, simply followers. Worst of all, they are not the priests of their homes, having failed in this most important role God has called them to play.

To fill the void left by men failing to perform their God-ordained roles, women have had to take on roles God never intended them to have. One of those roles is a woman working outside of the home to provide for the family. The lie of the world is that women have to go out and work. The sad reality in the year 2014 is that many men expect their wives to work and earn a certain amount of money. Let me break this down for you men, YOU, NOT YOUR WIFE, ARE SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT YOUR FAMILY!

This is not demeaning women or their abilities in any way. It is not a matter of if a woman can do the same job as a man, but the fact God never intended for them to do the same job as a man! God gave a woman the most important job of all and that is raising your children in the admonition of the Lord. No matter what else you may do in your life, that is the number one job and ministry a woman will ever have!!!

Listen, I am well aware of the argument that both spouses have to work. The reality is, economics have not changed since the days not that long ago when most women did not work. It is our desires for the things of this world that have changed. God’s plan is for men to work and support their family and women to raise the children with the help and support of their husbands. If you don’t have children, there is nothing wrong with working, but the husband is still supposed to be the primary source of support in the home. Obviously, single moms, single women, and those whose husbands are unable to work, are in special situations where you have no other choice but to work. Know that God will give you the favor, strength, and ability to provide for your family.

Women, let me give you a quick word of counsel. This is why I share so often that marriage is not something to enter into lightly. Please don’t rush into marriage! It is a lifetime commitment. Heed God’s warning about being unequally yoked. Take the time to build a spiritual foundation together. Make sure that the man you are praying about spending the rest of your life with, is a man of God who is following God’s Word and willing to perform the roles God has called him to play. Like I say so often, our way doesn’t work and only brings consequences, God’s way works and brings blessings.

The encouraging thing is every day I get prayer requests from husbands and wives who are restructuring their lives and finances so that the wife can stay at home with the children. There has been a big move in this direction the past few years as women are going back to their natural, God-given roles of being a mother and wife above everything else. This is also forcing men to perform their God-given role as the provider for their family. For you parents out there praying about doing this, let me encourage you that God will give you the wisdom and favor to restructure your lives and finances so that you can stay home with your children. God will always honor us and help us to follow His plan for our lives.

I love you and care about you so much. I am praying today, especially for the men out there that this will be a wake-up call that God has called you to be a leader. You do not have the option of passing on this role God has called you to play if you want to be the man He has raised you up to be. God has called you to protect and provide for your family. God has called you to be the priest of your home and be the spiritual leader of your wife and children. I pray, today, that you will take these roles seriously and ask God to help you fulfill them to the best of your ability.

The biggest problem we have in our world today is the breakdown of the family. It is God’s foundation for society. When the family works, society works. When the family breaks down, society breaks down. We can see clearly that the breakdown of our culture in 2017 can be directly tied to the breakdown of the family. Women have bought into a lie from hell and men have failed to be the leaders God has called them to be!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
