What is a leader?

(Romans 13:7)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, I ask you today to open my heart and my Spirit to receive what you have for me today. Let me hear Your voice clearly and obediently follow You. Use me oh Lord, for your glory and to advance Your Kingdom! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

One of the men I admire the most in God’s Word and try to follow is Paul. Paul was a leader in every sense of the word. A leader is a person with vision, the guts to stand up and declare that vision, the ability to inspire others to follow, the fortitude to persevere despite whatever opposition there may be, and the patience to see that vision become a reality. I want to use Paul’s life to challenge you in your personal walk to make the most of each day God gives you.

As I have shared with you often, our journey through this life is so brief and over so quickly. James calls it a “vapor.” The Bible clearly teaches that tomorrow is promised to none of us. That is ! why we
must make the most of each and every day. There are no do-overs. When this journey is over, it is over, we are not coming back. This is our one and only shot. Understanding that, it should become the desire of each of us to make each day count and live it to the fullest.

Very few people in their life will have the opportunity to become the President of the United States or the leader of a nation. However, EVERY PERSON has the ability to make a difference in this world no matter what you have been called to do. I don’t care if you are 15 or 115, rich or poor, male or female, what color your skin is, YOU can make an impact on this world with your life and be a leader.

God gives each of us passions, things that we develop a love for throughout our life. God gives each of us gifts, special abilities that come naturally to us. Throughout our life God opens and closes doors. It is through these passions we have, through the gifts we have received and developed, and thr! ough the
opportunities that life presents us, that each person can make an impact on this world during the course of their life.

You see, God needs His children in every area of life. He calls His children to be teachers, doctors, scientists, astronauts, pilots, police officers, fire fighters, secretaries, bank tellers, garbage collectors, janitors, nurses, homemakers, car dealers, mechanics, farmers, politicians, entertainers, lawyers, writers, stock brokers, and any other profession you can name. Throughout the course of a person’s life, God may call someone to do many different things. The point is, whatever career or profession you are in, you can make a difference. The key is to do your very best each day and realize that your lifematters.

***Those who know Christ as their Savior have been called to lead. The most common way we lead is by example, how we live our lives each day before this lost world we are part of for this brief time.

Of course, no matter how ! much we
may accomplish in our life, our greatest legacy will be those lives we touch for Christ along our journey. You see my friend, no matter what your passions may be, what your gifts may be, what career or occupation you have, we all have the same purpose in this life. That is to serve and glorify God with our lives. All that we do in this life comes back to our God-given purpose which is to serve and glorify Him. The money we accumulate, the property we own, all of the things of this world will one day pass away, but those lives we impact for Christ will last for eternity!

I love you and care about you so much. Paul had a full life and used his life to make a difference in this world for Christ. Paul was a real leader of men. The example from his life I want to challenge you with today is that YOU can make a difference in this world too, regardless of the career or occupation you are in. The key is to wake up each morning, do the very best you can, and as God opens doors ! in your
life be bold enough to walk through them. In these last days God needs men and women with the courage and spiritual guts to lead!

Never forget that no matter where God may have you working during each season of your life, He has placed you there as His ambassador. You are not there by accident, but God has placed you where you are in life to share with others you meet along your journey the hope and love of Jesus Christ and the Truth of His Word. That will be your real legacy when this brief journey is over, those lives you impact for Christ.

The reality of this life is that one day, sooner than any of us expect, it will be over. At that moment we will be instantly in the presence of God our Creator (2 Cor 5:8). At that moment, God is not going to be interested in the name of the church you attended, what your job was in this life, how much money you have, or how many buildings have your name on them. No my friend, the only thing God is going to be interested in ! is do you
have a personal relationship with His Son Jesus Christ. For those who do, God will say, “enter into my rest.” AMEN!

My word to you today is this. Go out and make an impact in this world in whatever God has called you to do with your life. Make your life matter! Be a leader! Never forget that you have been called to serve and glorify Christ with your life and your lasting legacy will be those lives you touch and lead to Jesus along your journey!

(2 Corinthians 5:20)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Father, I pray, today, for each person who is reading these words. You know exactly where they are at today financially. I pray that whatever they have today is multiplied many times over in the coming weeks and months. Bless them in the area of their finances, Father, so that they may not only care for their day-to-day needs of those they are responsible for, but so that they may feed the poor around the world, those who are materially poor as well as those who are spiritually poor. I pray, today, a prayer of BLESSING on the finances of the person reading these words. Whatever we have in this life comes from you and is yours Father. May we be faithful in managing what you have given to us. Multiply many times over what you have currently given to the person reading this word today and allow them to be a great blessing to the work of God throughout the world. I pray BLESSINGS over the finances of the person ! reading
these words today for the glory of Almighty God. In the name of Jesus. Amen!

***WHAT DRIVES PEOPLE TO BE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT KILLING BABIES??? Since my Daily Devotional Tuesday on the real issue of the Judge Kavanaugh confirmation process, I have been inundated with very legitimate emails asking why so many people would support the legalized killing of babies. Support to the point of being willing to ruin as many people’s lives as it takes to protect infanticide. First, never forget that satan is alive and busy in this limited time he has. The killing of babies has always been a sign of civilizations throughout history who have abandoned any pretense of morals. The United States has considered itself to be a champion of human rights around the world, but the fact is we are as abusive of human rights as any nation today as we legally slaughter apx. 4,000 babies each 24 hours. Second, money. Never doubt the hundreds of millions of dollars generated by the baby killing ! industry.
Third and last, it is the preservation of the “right” to kill a human being they will be responsible for the rest of their life. Just like you can’t underestimate the greed factor involved, you can’t underestimate the pure unadulterated selfishness of this demonic act.

One of the things that happens to us at the moment of salvation is that we immediately become Ambassadors of Jesus Christ. This is NOT a voluntary job, but is mandatory. More important, this is not a normal type of job where you work so many hours, and then are off. Being an ambassador of Christ is a 24/7/365 job!!! Let me say this again so you clearly understand the foundation of what I am saying to you today. Being an ambassador of Christ is a 24/7/365 job!!!

You NEVER stop being His representative. That means you represent Christ at school, at work, where you play, where you shop, when you are with your friends, everywhere, every minute of the day. That also means you represent Ch! rist AT HOME with
your parents, children, spouse, roommate, or whoever else you may live with.

The sole purpose of today’s Devotional is to drive home the point that as a Christian, we are responsible for being Christ’s representative every second of every day. I want you to sit down and think about that today. THAT is why we talk about not drinking, not engaging in ungodly behavior, because of this fact. You see, others are watching you whether you realize it or not.

THE LOUDEST WITNESS YOU WILL EVER HAVE TO THOSE AROUND YOU IS NOT THE WORDS YOU SPEAK BUT HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!

I get so many emails each day from people with unsaved family members, co- workers, and friends, and are not sure what they should say. First of all, the Lord will give you opportunities to share how wonderful Christ has been in your life. But on a day-to-day basis, it is not what you say, but how you live that has the greatest impact on those unsaved people in your life. Live a Godly life before ! them and
pray for them. Those are your most effective weapons in helping open their hearts to the truth of God’s love for them.

THIS IS WHY I ADMONISH YOU OFTEN THAT AS AN AMBASSADOR OF CHRIST YOU ARE TO LIVE UP TO THE HIGH STANDARDS OF THE BIBLE, NOT DOWN TO THE LOW STANDARDS OF THIS WORLD!!!

I love you and care about you so much. This is actually a VERY heavy word I have given you today. TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THIS SEVERAL TIMES TODAY!!!

As you read these words, it becomes very clear now that you have no excuse for behaving as the world behaves. You have no excuse for allowing yourself to be drawn into activities God is not pleased with. Why? Because you are HIS ambassador! That responsibility as I mentioned does not stop once you get home either. As His ambassador, you represent Him to your family. Mom and dad, you represent Christ to your children. Young adults, I realize many of you have unsaved parents. You represent Christ to your mom and dad.

Husbands,! you
represent Christ to your wives, and wives, you represent Christ to your husbands. Parents, you represent Christ to your children! Think about this as you deal with your loved ones on a daily basis. I will pray for you today as you seek the Lord, that you never forget you are His representative, HIS AMBASSADOR, and serve Him in that capacity each and every day 24/7/365!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please watch over me today and keep me from all harm. I look to you for protection from the evil in this world. Father, you know my challenges today. I give them to you. Let me be about your business today, as I know you will be about mine. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

Enough is enough!!!! IT IS NO ACCIDENT THAT YOU ARE READING THIS TODAY!!! The fact is almost EVERYONE who lives, falls into some form a bondage in their life. The most effective and common bondages are those of alcohol, drugs (legal and illegal), sex, and money. Many of you reading this today are living with! some
bondage in your life that is separating you from God, destroying your day-to-day life, and slowly killing you! The sad fact is, this is true for those who are 16, 25, 40, mid 50’s, 66, and even older!!! A HUGE percentage of those reading this today are living each day in the midst of the bondage satan has entangled YOU in.

One of the problems that we all face in this brief journey here on earth are the traps that the enemy lays to ruin our life. While there will always be a percentage that succumbs to these traps in a BIG way, most simply learn how to live each day with their bondage. It is like having bugs in your home.

At first, you do all you can to get rid of them, but most at some point learn how to live with them. They accept them as part of their existence. That is the way satan uses the snares of this world . Traps like alcohol, drugs, gambling, food, shopping, sex, greed. Satan finds out what your weakness is, entices you, and lets you slowly become ens! nared
into whatever bondage you are most open to.

I am here today to tell you that no matter what bondage that you have allowed to ensnare you, GOD LOVES YOU!!! Not only does God love you, but today, God is speaking to you about becoming FREE from your bondage. God is still in the deliverance business!!!

I don’t care if your bondage is that 6 pack of beer after work, or those 3 martinis at lunch, or your bondage is a joint each night, or taking the prescription the doctor gave you 1 year ago that you now “need to make it through the day”, or the woman that is not your wife who you have sex with 2-3 times a week, or the man you spend hours on the computer with while your husband is not around, or the food you eat for no real reason other than it makes you “feel good”, or the money you hoard since that is how you have determined to judge your “self-worth”.

THE FACT IS MY FRIEND, YOU ARE IN A BONDAGE THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED TO INCORPORATE INTO YOUR DAILY LIFE THAT YOU! CANNOT
LIVE WITHOUT!!! THE FACT IS IF YOU COULD QUIT ON YOUR OWN, YOU WOULD HAVE!!! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU PROMISED TO “NEVER DO THAT AGAIN”, ONLY TO DO IT AGAIN??? TODAY IS A DAY OF VICTORY FOR YOU, IF, AND THAT IS THE QUESTION, IF, YOU WANT TO SEE VICTORY!!!

Breaking a bondage in our life is VERY difficult. You know that because you have tried unsuccessfully. First, you must admit you have a problem. Until you do that, you will NEVER see victory. Second, you can’t do this alone. You have to humble yourself to others and ask them for help. Leave your pride behind, humble yourself, and become accountable to others. YOU MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE TO OTHERS TO SEE VICTORY!!! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!

With those you are accountable to, you must work out a game plan for victory. You have to change your day-to-day actions. Most are in a bondage that they have incorporated into their day-to-day life. Changing your habits, re-formatting your daily schedule is critical to success.

Also, there will be a huge void in your life where your bondage “was.” You MUST find something positive to fill that void. Refocusing the time, energy, and resources that you used to pour into your bondage, is necessary to seeing ultimate victory. Also, your relationship with the Lord is the key. HE will give you the strength and the resolve to live our your new plan each day to victory!

I love you and care about you so much. I will be fasting today and in prayer this evening from 6 until midnight for all of those who are in bondage and looking for deliverance.

OUR GOD IS A GOD OF DELIVERANCE. HE CAN DELIVER YOU FROM THE BONDAGE OF ALCOHOL, OF DRUGS, OF SEX, OF MONEY, OR WHATEVER YOUR BONDAGE MAY BE!!! GOD IS A GOD OF DELIVERANCE!!! IT IS NO ACCIDENT THAT YOU ARE READING THIS TODAY. MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT, MOST PEOPLE ARE “FUNCTIONAL” IN THEIR BONDAGE.

I can’t make you stop whatever bondage that you are in today. But I can pray for you and believe ! God for
your deliverance. You have learned how to live with your bondage. My message today is that God wants you to learn how to live FREE from your bondage. The choice is yours. For those who want that freedom, I will be praying for you tonight. God is speaking to YOU today. More than anything else, I pray out of my love for you that you open your heart and hear Him speaking to you today!!!

The one thing God expects of us each day!!!

(1 Thessalonians 2:4, 4:1; Hebrews 13:16)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Please Lord bless me and my family today. Help us to never forget to honor you and praise your holy name. Thank you for your blessings. Let us be good stewards of those blessings and never forget to reach out to others and be a blessing to those who cross our path each day. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

While this may not sound like some earth-shaking, life-changing word from God’s throne room, please don’t just dismiss it as something light and trivial. In the course of calling sin sin, challenging you to live a holy life and serve the Lord, dealing with all of the issues we face in our world, this message today may appear on the surface to be not very important, but it is. I am here to encourage you to do your very best today and make sure you understand that is all God ever expects of us, to do our best.

There is one simple message that I want you to hear loud and cl! ear
today. GOD LOVES YOU and all He expects is that you do your best each day. None of us are perfect. The Bible says that we all have sinned and come short of God’s glory. In the course of our day-to-day lives, we all fail God, we all make choices that we wish we could change. But God knows our heart, and all He has ever asked you to do, is your best.

Each day I deal with the real life issues that we all face, in the context of God’s Word. I deal with all of the sins that are out there to hurt our lives. I deal with the tricks that satan uses to try and destroy us. It is out of my love for you that I share the Absolute Truth of God’s Word and how He has called us to live. I do my best to break down for you why God’s way works.

The fact is, there is right and wrong in our world. Those who oppose God have always done their best to get people to believe that right and wrong doesn’t exist. Their goal is to get each person to decide for themselves what is right and wrong! . That
way, you can never tell a person that they are wrong no matter what they choose to believe. That sounds wonderful in theory, but in reality it leads to utter chaos. More important, it is a lie, since God has clearly told us in His Word what is right and what is wrong.

In the course of applying the truth of God’s Word to our personal lives each day, it can get frustrating when we sin, when we don’t follow God’s plan. Again, the word that I want to share with you today is to DO YOUR BEST. Am I saying it is OK to sin? Of course not.

But 1 John 1:8 tells us that if we say we don’t sin, then we are deceiving ourselves. What I am saying is that God knows your heart. He knows how grieved you are when you sin. That is why He has promised to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness when you confess your sins to Him (1 John 1:9). What I am saying is that all God expects us to do, is our best each day. HE LOVES YOU.

I love you too, and care about you so much! . I
realize that what I write each day is usually very serious, very heavy, real life issues. It can become overwhelming trying to live the way God calls us to live, to do it His way. It is out of His infinite love for you that He teaches you His way, to help you to avoid the pain and heartache associated with living life your way.

It is out of my love for you that I try to do the best I can each day to very simply share what God’s way is for your life, again, to help you avoid having to experience the pain and heartache that living life outside of God’s plan can bring. But never forget, all any of us can do each day is our very best, and God understands that.

I will be praying for you today. I pray that you will know the peace, the joy, and the abundance that this life can offer because of all He did for us. That is the beauty of our relationship with the Lord. Even in the midst of the storms, even in the midst of the trials and tribulations of daily life, we can st! ill
experience His peace, His joy, and the abundance of this life. God loves you more than you will ever know. He cares about you. All He is asking you to do is your very best.

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

I am going to teach how to ask the right question!!!

(Isaiah 55:8,9)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please be with the families who have lost loved ones from Hurricane Florence as well as those who have lost their homes, businesses, and have had their lives turned upside down. I ask that you be with them in a special way during this difficult time as you strengthen and comfort them. Guide them through this time of turmoil and give them your peace and blessings as they move forward. We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus…AMEN!

I have preached a message over the years called, “The Right Question.” It is a message you need today because everyone comes to that place in life when they ask, “Why God?” I can’t tell you how many times over the last 25 years of ministry I’ve been with people at a funeral, in a hospital room, in a counseling session, and inevitably the same question always gets asked, “Why, why is God allowing this to happen?” “Why is this happening?” “Why doesn’t God ca! re?” “Why
doesn’t God stop this?” “Why doesn’t God step in and change this?” “Why, why, why God?”

First of all, that is a natural question. Don’t feel bad. As a matter of fact, if you haven’t asked that question you’re not normal. We all come to that place from time to time, especially in the midst of serious trials in our life when we look up at God and we just say, “Why God? “Where are you?” “Why aren’t you helping me?” “Why God?” Today, I want to help you to ask the proper question. “Why God” is the natural question, however, the proper question is, “What, God?”

Living in this sin-filled world that we do, a world full of men living in utter rebellion to God and His Word, there is incredible evil all around us. Because of that sin and evil, there is always going to be bad things happening. That is simply part of this human experience. Just hours before going to the cross, Jesus took His disciples to the side and said, “in this life, you are going to have trials and
tribulations.”

Jesus didn’t want His disciples to think that just because they had walked with Him, that their life was going to be a bed of roses. Anybody who thinks that when you get saved you automatically receive a free pass from the trials and tribulations from life is sadly mistaken. You see, trials and tribulations are part of living in this sin-filled and evil world that we do. Just like death is part of this life, the trials and tribulations we all face during our life are also part of this human experience.

Now, you can go through the trials and tribulations of life, face those difficult circumstances we all have along our journey and whine and moan and complain and ask “Why God,” or you can ask the proper question which is, “What, God?” What God, what can I learn from this situation? God what lesson can I take from this experience? Most importantly, “God, what can I do to serve You through this?”

You read in the Book of Acts about some of the exp! eriences
Paul went through. Repeatedly tossed into prison for his faith, chased out of towns, people trying to kill him, but you never read about Paul asking God why. Instead he asked, “What God can I do to glorify You through all that I am going through?” You see my friend, that has got to be your response to the trials and tribulations that you face in this life. Instead of wasting your time and energy moaning and complaining and asking God why, figure out what you can do in the midst of your trials and tribulations to serve Him and bring glory to His name.

You see, our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify God. That’s our purpose. That purpose doesn’t change just because we’re going through a difficult time. I’ll never forget in the early days of Liveprayer when we were facing what seemed to be insurmountable pressures and problems and issues every day. One day I really need to sit down and write a book about the first year of Liveprayer and the miracle it was that we
survived, as a testimony of God’s faithfulness. I’d sit here and break down if I started to tell you half of the things that we went through in those early days. But instead of sitting there and complaining and asking God “why” every day, I finally came to a place where I said, “God what can I do to serve and glorify you this day?”

Many of the things you are asking “Why, God,” are out of your control. In most cases, you can’t control the fact that you’ve got cancer in your body, got laid off from your job, your husband or wife left you, or your son or your daughter is living their lives in rebellion to God. So many of the things that we face in our life are things that we have no control over in the first place. It’s at those times that your faith has got to become real and you have to put your complete faith and trust in God. When you do that, you are no longer sitting there asking, “Why, God, why is this happening to me?” Instead, you are asking, “What, God, what can! I do for
you?”

I love you and care about you so much. Do you want to start living in freedom? Do you want to start living with that joy in your heart? Do you want to start living with that peace the Bible says passes all human understanding? Oh, my friend, when you are not asking why anymore, but instead are asking what, there is a peace, there is a joy, there is a freedom you can’t even put into words. It is indescribable. You see, Jesus, after He told His disciples that there would be trials and tribulations quickly added, “but be of good cheer because I have overcome this world!”

My friend, God knows what your problems are today. Give them to Him since I guarantee you He can handle them better than you can. What that does is free you up to not waste your time and energy asking why, but spend it serving the Lord. You need to ask, “What, God, what can I do for you today, what can I do to serve you today?” I know many of you are hurting and going through difficult times r! ight now.
My admonition to you, my counsel to you, my encouragement for you is to change your question. Change your question from, “Why, God” to “What, God.”

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

God never changes, but YOU do!!!

(Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, I ask you today to open my heart and my Spirit to receive what you have for me today. Let me hear Your voice clearly and obediently follow You. Use me oh Lord, for your glory and to advance Your Kingdom! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

Immutable is one of those $5 theological words that describes an attribute of God. It is one of those attributes that allows us to keep our faith and trust in Him daily. It simply means “without change”. That is why we can boldly say the same God who brought you through the storm 3 months ago, is the same God who will bring you through the storm today. He doesn’t change!

That is why we can have confidence each day that God loves us. He doesn’t change. It is the fact that God never changes that gives us the ability to go to 1 John 1:9 when we sin and KNOW that He will forgive us and cleanse us. Part of the foundation of our faith is this won! derful truth that
GOD NEVER CHANGES!!!

The challenge I want to give you today is this. Take a few minutes and get alone in a quiet place. Get some paper and a pen. Make a list of the following categories: DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST , CHURCH FELLOWSHIP SERVING GOD, SPOUSE (if applicable), CHILDREN (if applicable), MOM, DAD, BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND (if applicable), FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS, SCHOOL/WORK, FINANCIAL, HEALTH, RECREATION/HOBBIES, BONDAGES (such as alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, etc.).

Now in each category, simply jot down notes as to where you were in this area 10 years ago, 5 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago, and where you are now. Be honest, this is between you and God.

The point of this exercise will be apparent very quickly. We change. We are not immutable. Unfortunately, much of our change is for the worst and not the better. It doesn’t happen overnight but over a period of time just like the tide that slowly rolls in.

It isn’t even something we! notice most
of the time. Looking over your paper when you are done, will clearly focus you on those areas of your life that you need to work on and make some changes in. This may seem like a waste of time, but trust me, God is speaking to you loud and clear as you read these words. He is trying to get your attention.

The 10 minutes it will take you to do this can be the difference between your relationship with Christ being all it can be or having little life in it. It can be the difference between a better marriage or divorce. It can be the difference between having good health or constant battles in that area.

I am not trying to be over-dramatic but the way we change over time, the subtle ways we change without even being aware of it, can lead to many of the problems you are dealing with today. These could be some of the most profitable minutes ever as the Lord reveals to you those areas of your life that need to be worked on.

I love you and care about you so much. I! realize
many will resist this exercise for many reasons. Ultimately though it is because the enemy will try to stop you from having to face in black and white those things in your life that need changing.

We get comfortable in our lives even when they aren’t the way they should be. We get comfortable living with sin. It is like having a mouse in your house. You can’t catch it, and may even get to a point where you will try and live with it. My friend, it is time for a Holy Ghost extermination of those things in your life that shouldn’t be there. The only thing keeping you from all the wonderful blessings God has for your life is YOU.

I will be praying this weekend that you will take the time to pray, put your life on paper, see those areas that you have moved away from God in, and give yourself a real and precise focus. I talk about game plans as a way of overcoming sin in our life.

Once you complete this, you will then have identified those areas that need! work. The next
step is to formulate a game plan in order to get where God wants you to be in every area of your life. It won[‘t be easy. It won’t happen overnight but over time, working faithfully daily, and in the strength He can supply, you will see victory.

We can be thankful today that our God NEVER changes. We do. Now is the time to see the areas of your life that need to be changed for the glory of God!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
