The Bible is God’s Inspired, Inerrant Word Representing Absolute Truth and Our Final Authority in All Matter

(Psalm 119:89, 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 1:16)

The Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word representing Absolute Truth and our final authority in all matters because it works! What I share with you each day as I deal with what is happening in our world as well as our personal lives are not my thoughts, or my ideas, or my opinions, but God’s I deal with everything from what is referred to as a “Biblical worldview.” What I share with you each day is literally coming right out of the Bible. I don’t wake up in the morning and simply write down what I think because the fact is, at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what I think and it doesn’t matter what you think, it only matters what God thinks! Of course you and I both have the free will to think and believe whatever we want, but Truth isn’t what we decide it to be, it is what God says it is!

You see my friend, we aren’t perfect. We are simply frail flesh and blood. We sin. We make mistakes. We are wrong. God on the other hand IS perfect. He is NEVER wrong! God is right 100% of the time! Because we are sinners, that is why we need a Savior. The whole reason Jesus went to the cross was to be that one-time perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. So when we confess our sins to the Lord, by faith ask Him to forgive us and come to live in our hearts, we become His follower. As His follower, that means we also follow His Word. Jesus said, ‘If you love me you will obey me.” That means the Bible. A follower of Jesus is automatically a follower of His Word!

Over the past 2000 years, people have debated the Bible ad nauseam. I could sit here today and make an historical and archeological argument for why the Bible is really God’s Word. I could sit here today and make a theological argument for why the Bible is really God’s Word. But today, I want to use this time together to make the strongest case there is for why the Bible is really God’s Word. When I tell you, many of you will shake your head and think what I have shared is not a very good reason. However, I want you to listen to me since what I am going to tell you is by far the strongest and greatest argument of all to prove the Bible truly is God’s Word. The Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word representing Absolute Truth and our final authority in all matters…because it works!!!

What does that mean? The Bible is God’s instruction manual for man, both during this life and for all eternity. Think of the Bible like any other instruction manual. When you buy a new toy for your child or cell phone, there is always an instruction manual. If you take the time and effort to read the instruction manual and then follow it, guess what? The toy will be assembled properly and work! The cell phone with all of the incredible features the new phones of today have will work! The Bible is God’s instruction manual for life, and if you read it and follow what it says, life works!

You can start from almost the very beginning of life. There are lots of instructions in the Bible for children and young adults. The Word talks about children obeying their parents, honoring their mother and father. The Bible gives basic lessons of life that every child should learn like “do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” and “treat others like you want to be treated,” and “be kind to others,” These are all foundational life lessons every child needs to learn that makes life work.

As you become an adult, most look to get married. The Bible has MUCH to say about this stage of life. It warns us to not be “unequally yoked with a non-believer.” This is critical since your faith in Christ is the most important thing in your life and if you can’t share that with the person you have committed to spend the rest of your life with, there is no real foundation to your relationship. So when you marry someone who shares your faith in Christ, the two of you can build on that foundation together during all of the years God blesses you with. The Bible says much about husband and wives. It instructs husbands to love their wives like Christ loves the church. It instructs women to be submissive to their husbands. It clearly lays out the roles a man and woman are to play in life. Again, following God’s Word can make marriage the incredible blessing and gift from God He intended it to be. It works!

The Bible also has lots of clear instruction when it comes to sex. Sex is actually a very simple subject. It is a gift from God to be enjoyed by a man and woman in the bonds of marriage. Period! ALL sex outside of marriage is a perversion. Pretty clear and pretty simple isn’t it? Just think if you actually followed the Bible on this issue. First of all, you are never going to have sex of any kind until you are married, and then the only person you will ever have sex with is the one God gave you to spend the rest of your life with. Guess what? That automatically eliminates all of the emotional, physical, and mental drama from your life that accompanies the sexual relationships people have outside of marriage. With each person you have sex of any kind with, you are giving a part of yourself to that person. Engaging in such intimacy is a physical, emotional, and mental investment with someone you have no commitment to.

Of course, when you follow the Bible and never have sex until you get married and are only having sex with your spouse and your spouse is only having sex with you, there is no such thing as a sexually transmitted disease. There is also no such thing as abortion. First, since you are both followers of Christ, killing your baby is NEVER an option. Since you never have sex until you are married, there is no such thing as a child out of wedlock. Having children is not looked at as a curse but as a blessing! Children are the natural byproduct, the fruit of marriage. They are something a husband and wife look forward to and rejoice over. In addition, when it is only you and your spouse having sex, you don’t fall into the many sexual perversions. Do you see how much pain and heartache, drama and even death is avoided when we follow the Bible?

By following God’s Word out in the business world, employees will be “working as unto the Lord,” and employers will treat their employees fair and just. Businesses won’t cheat their customers and customers won’t try to take advantage of businesses. The Bible works!

The Bible not only works in all of the real day-to-day issues of life, but it also works in our spiritual lives as well. The promises in God’s Word are true! When we sin, 1 John 1:9 is true when it tells us to confess our sins and God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. When life gets difficult, Jesus told us to cast our cares on Him because He cares for us. He told us to give Him our burdens and take His yoke because it is light. God promised that He would never put on us more than we can bear, and that He would never leave us nor forsake us. What tremendous comfort we can take from the promises in God’s Word because they are true and they work!

I love you and care about you so much. I could have easily made a case for the Bible being the Word of God by going through the historical record of how the Bible came to be. It is fascinating. I could have also easily made a case for the Bible being the Word of God by breaking it down theologically. But today, I wanted to make the strongest case there is for the Bible being God’s Word, and that is because it works.

It isn’t just a book of good ideas on how to live. It is THE instructional manual for man that God wrote so we wouldn’t have to try to figure this life out for ourselves. How many times have you tried to put together a toy for your child or operated a new electronic gadget without looking at the instruction manual? When did you finally pick up the instruction manual? We both know that answer, after you broke what you were trying to put together, or you put it together and it didn’t work! Sounds like lots of lives who have never taken the time or effort to read the Bible doesn’t it?

The great thing about the Bible is that it doesn’t just deal with your life now, it also is your instructional manual for eternity. It tell us, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” It says, “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” It also says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.” You see, it not only works during our brief journey through life, but it works for all eternity as well!

The bottom line is God gave you free will. You are free to believe whatever you want. You can believe the Bible or reject it. That is up to you. However, I want you to know that there is only one Truth. It isn’t what you want it to be, or what I want it to be, it is what God says it is! God said it in the pages of the Book He wrote, the Bible. The greatest case I can make for the Bible being God’s inspired, inerrant Word representing Absolute Truth and our final authority in all matters is….. IT WORKS!!!

Let Me Share Some Insight with You that I have Found to be True in My Life

(Deuteronomy 29:9; 2 Chronicles 31:21)

Let me share some insight with you that I have found to be true in my life and I am sure you have found in your own life. It is in our failures that we learn life’s most important lessons and grow. Nobody wants to fail, but the only person who has never failed is someone who has never tried. Failure is part of life. It is something we all have to experience from time to time. The key, however, is how do you respond when you fail? How do you respond when life doesn’t go as you planned?

Winning, losing, succeeding, failing, these are all concepts that we begin to learn as children. Playing games is something all children do, and quickly we learn there are winners and losers. During our childhood we try many things, music, sports, different hobbies. Again, we quickly learn the joy of succeeding in the things we do and that empty feeling when we fail. While it is important to keep winning and success in perspective and learn how to do both with humility, it is even more important to learn how to handle defeat and failure, as well as the lessons they can teach us.

The first lesson in losing, in failing, is to take personal responsibility and not blame other people or anything else. Having spent 31 months of my life in Federal Prison, having ministered these past 20 yrs to tens of thousands of men and women who are incarcerated, I can tell you the biggest problem I see with people in prison is the refusal to take personal responsibility for the choices that put them in prison. Most people you talk to who are in prison will tell you they are there because of what this person or that person said or did. They are not willing to accept responsibility that they are there because of the choices THEY MADE. A person who is in prison will never be able to move forward and turn their life around until they are ready to accept personal responsibility for THEIR choices.

Whenever we lose or fail, it is always easy to sit back and make excuses. Some of those excuses may even be valid. However, rather than investing the time and energy into finding excuses why we lost or failed, it is far more productive to look at the role WE played in our loss or failure. You learn nothing by blaming someone else or making excuses. When you sit down and are honest to look at yourself, at the choices you made that contributed to your loss or failure, then you are able to learn from the mistakes you made and hopefully not repeat them in the future. We can all learn much from our losses and failures in life if we will simply be honest with ourselves and take the time to analyze our thoughts and actions so we can identify what we did wrong.

The second lesson in losing, in failing, is to not let our loss or failure paralyze us from trying again. Some people become so devastated by losing, by failing, that they simply refuse to try again. My friend, losing and failing are part of life. As I said earlier, the only people I have met who have never lost or failed are people who have never tried. You can’t be afraid of losing or failure. Nobody likes to lose. Nobody likes to fail. However, you will never win unless you also lose and you will never succeed unless you also fail. Rather than being paralyzed by losing and failing, let them motivate you. Learn from your losses and failures so that you don’t repeat the mistakes and poor choices you made that led to them. instead of losing and failing making you weak, they can make you strong.

The third lesson in losing, in failing is this, THERE IS NO FAILURE WITH GOD! In the process of serving the Lord, we will always have times and experiences when we feel in our flesh that we have failed, that we have let the Lord down. That is a lie from the pits of hell! THERE IS NO FAILURE WITH GOD! You can’t fail when you are serving the Lord. The only way you can fail is to NOT serve Him! God uses our obedience and faithfulness in ways we will never see or understand until we get to Glory. The reality is, when we are yielded to the Lord, God uses our lives to do incredible things that we never even realize.

As a matter of fact, I submit that the greatest things you will ever do for God you don’t even know you did them until you get to Heaven. Those are the things you do each day simply by being obedient and faithful . God will give us a little feedback along the way since He knows our flesh is weak and needs encouragement. However, the vast majority of what God does in and through our lives we will never fully comprehend in this life. Don’t forget, our job isn’t to know everything that is going on, it is simply to be obedient and faithful. God can use a willing and yielded vessel!

I love you and care about you so much. Losing and failing are simply part of this life. Things often don’t go as we planned. THAT IS LIFE! How we respond to losing, to failing, when things don’t go as we planned is the key. Never forget, God is on the throne. He doesn’t take naps, or go to the bathroom, or take a break to eat a sandwich. God is on His throne at all times and nothing happens apart from God allowing it to happen. The vast majority of the time we lose or fail is because of the choices we made. God gave us free will, and God allows us to make the choices that lead to our losing or failing. Again, the key is how do we respond when we lose or fail.

Your first response should be prayer. Pray for God to open your heart, give you wisdom, and show you why you lost or failed. Than, you need to pray for God to give you the strength to overcome your disappointment in losing or failing, and help you to move forward. Lastly, you need to seek the Lord to guide you so that you don’t make those same poor choices again. Listen to me carefully. God doesn’t abandon you when you lose or fail. You are not alone. He is there with you each moment, so reach out and allow HIM to comfort you and give you His peace. God is with you in the good times and bad, through victory and defeat, through success and failure.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that God will speak to your heart today through these words. If you have suffered some defeats in your life recently, if you have failed, know that I am here and praying for you. Losing and failing are part of life. Don’t let your defeats or failures keep you from moving forward. Life goes on. Sit down and learn from your losses, learn from your failures, and work to insure you don’t make those mistakes again. Let me share a secret with you today. As long as you know Jesus as your Savior you can never lose or fail and if you don’t know Jesus as your Savior, you can never win or succeed. One more time, say it out loud slowly, “As long as I know Jesus as my Savior I can never lose or fail and if I don’t know Jesus as my Savior, I can never win or succeed!”

My friend, as long as you know Jesus, no matter what may happen, no matter what the setbacks in life you may experience along your journey, no matter what your defeats or your failures may be, you will always win and be successful! YOU ARE ALWAYS A WINNER AND A SUCCESS BECAUSE OF JESUS!!!

In His love and service,

This is One of Those Days When I Just Need to Talk to You

(John 3:16)

This is one of those days, I just need to talk to you, just like if we were sitting together having breakfast at a little restaurant. I have to be totally honest with you. I have dedicated, literally, the last 20 yrs of my life to serving the Lord. I have given all I have, sacrificed everything, taken every dime I ever made and poured it back into the ministry. I have mortgaged my house over 12 times to have the funds available to keep the ministry moving forward, most recently a few months ago when we had some serious monthly shortfalls. There is literally NOTHING I would never do, including sacrificing my life, my time, my talent, and any earthly possessions for God’s work here!

You see, I have heard from God from the day He gave me the vision for Liveprayer over 11 years ago. Everything He showed me has come to fruition, and so much more. God has shown me that He would use me, and His work at Liveprayer at some point to lead this nation back to His and His Truth. I shared that vision with you several years ago when I launched the Jonah Project. It has only been in the past 6 months, that I saw His plan for the fulfillment of that vision…the “9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero.”

This message today is about 2011. What ever happened in 2010 is over. I am not interested in looking back, but looking ahead. God has showed me that 2011 is the year when the spiritual freefall in this nation can be stopped…and reversed!!! By having a bold, visible, physical evangelistic center at ground zero, being on a major secular superstation like WWOR 9 every Mon-Fri, we have the ability to not only have the platform to share the Truth of God’s Word on the issues of the day the world won’t be able to ignore, but also millions of lost souls to faith in Jesus Christ and change the spiritual course of this nation!!!

Many called Noah, Abraham, other heroes of the faith down through the years crazy…and they were. They were crazy for God! God has always used men who loved Him and obeyed Him to do His work. Who else in the last 11 years has reached tens of millions of lives around the world for Christ, answered over 70 million email prayer requests, led over 500,000 souls we know of to faith in Jesus Christ? I did because I heard God over 11 yrs ago, had the faith to trust God, and He honored that faith!!!

I am challenging you today to stand with me. Not just stand with me, give your LIFE with me!!! Do you love Jesus enough to do that? It appalls me that a man like Warren Buffet give 3 BILLION to help kill innocent babies around the world. Or George Soros, who give hundreds of millions annually to fund his political agenda. WITH A FRACTION OF THAT AMOUNT, I COULD TURN THE NATION, THE WORLD BACK TO GOD AND HIS TRUTH AND SEE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF SOULS COME TO FAITH IN JESUS!!!

Liveprayer is not just another ministry. It is a unique work of God HE raised up over 11 yrs ago to lead this nation back to Him and His Truth. Over those years, thousands and stood with me in this work to allow us to impact tens of millions of lives around the world. Today, I don’t need millions, or even thousands, only several hundred SOLD OUT, COMMITTED, MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE WILLING TO SACRIFCE THEIR LIVES FOR THE LORD AND STAND WITH ME!!!

This is not about money, it is about COMMITMENT. The Bibles says, “Where your treasure is, there will be your heart.” Today, I am in critical need of several hundred serious men and women of God who will sacrifice their lives, their treasure, and stand with me for the Gospel. My track record is for all to see. I have never wavered, turned back, compromised, but have committed everyting I have and all this ministry has, for this opportunity we have before us to lead our nation back to God and His Truth.

I could easily have sat back, built buildings, bought planes, had huge staffs, while living in mansions and driving new luxury cars. But that is not what I do this for. I have rolled the dice, over, and over, and over…put everything on the line… for one thing…TO SAVE SOULS!!!!

—>Today, I am in great need. By 3pm I need one, two, or several people, to wire $30,000 so we can cover past due needs and meet the current obligations we have for this 9-11 project in NYC. I need someone who has the liquid funds, who loves the Lord, and is willing to make the sacrifce and commitment to stand with me! It will be easy to dismiss this opportunity because of Christmas, but what better time to give back to God after His very best? If God is speaking to you, please email me at: and I will get you our bank wire info.

In the next 30 days, here is what I need. I need 100 people who can make a special one-time commitment of $5,000. So far, we have had 8 respond, I need 92 more right away. We will have a special plaque in our new evangelistic center by ground zero with 100 leafs for each unit, to be engraved in honor of someone the donor designates.

Also, I need 100 people to give a gift of $1,000 for the “9-11 Memorial Prayer Room.” We will also have a special plaque there with 100 leafs engraved in honor of the person the donor designates.

Additionally, I am looking for one person who is willing to cover the $100,000 to construct the chapel at our new evangelistic center at ground zero, and give them the opportunity to have the chapel named after the person they want to honor in this incredible way.

The wonderful thing is, once we have the initial start up costs covered, the “9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero” is up and running, the TV program is on the air in the New York City market, we will have a new base of support for the ongoing operations of the evangelistic center and the TV program.

Listen, I know everyone is busy with Christmas, and living your own lives. It is easy to just let someone else make the sacrifce. The fact is, it is those God calls and are obedient that He uses to fulfill His plan and purpose. I understand not everyone can give tens of thousands, or even one thousand. But everyone can pray, and most everyone can SACRIFICE something, even if it is $5. In the end, God is not interested in the amount, but your heart. That is the issue. Jesus sacrifce all He had, including His life for us, are we willing to sacrifce what He has blessed us with for Him???

To make a special gift to Liveprayer or the 9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero, you can send your gift to Liveprayer on your major credit card at our website under the “Donation” button, or you can give from your PayPal account by using my email address, , or you can mail it to: Liveprayer, 6660 46th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33709. One the credit card or PayPal form after your name simply mark (9-11). Also, in the notes section of your check mark (9-11). This will insure all of the gifts towards this special projects go to that cause. All gifts to Liveprayer are 100% tax deductible

I love you and care about you so much. I know out of the 2.4 million people we send our Daily Devotional to each day, most won’t respond. Less than 1/4 of 1% ever give for a myriad of reasons. However, I only need several hundred, sold-out, committed, men and women of God who are willing to sacrifce everything, including their lives and treasure, to stand with me. Our time is very short. 2011 is our opportunity to lead this nation back to God and millions to faith in Jesus. We have the pieces in place. I simply need the resources to make this bold, visible stand for God’s Truth and our Lord that nobody else is willing to make.

We Must be Willing to Answer God’s Call When it Comes

(Genesis 12:1-4)

Hebrews Chapter 11 is one of the great chapters in the Bible. We read about Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Samuel, the prophets…they all had one thing in common…THEY ANSWERED THE CALL!! Common sense tells me that God had probably called others, but they refused to answer His call. The Bible tells us that “many are called, few are chosen”.

We must be willing to answer God’s call when it comes. Noah answered God’s call to build the ark. Abraham answered God’s call to leave Ur. Moses answered God’s call to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. There are three basic element in answering the call of God. First, you must know God. Second, you must respond by faith. Lastly, you can’t turn back.

You must first know God in an intimate way. If you have a special job to be done, do you ask a stranger to do it, or call a friend? When God has a special job to do, He calls someone that he has a relationship with. He knows each one of His children intimately. He knows our strong points, our weak points, and what we are capable of. God knows better than you do what you can accomplish.

Never forget, God calls us for a specific purpose at different times in our lives based on His plan. He will never ask you to do something that He hasn’t equipped you to perform. Hebrews 11:1 says “ is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Once God calls you, we must respond by faith. Faith is not a blind leap in the dark, but a trust in God. When God called Abraham, he left obediently, not even knowing where he was going. He trusted God. James tells us that faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. I

n talking of Abraham, James said that “his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.” But once you hear God call you, and you respond by faith, you then can’t turn back. Jesus said, “no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in he kingdom of God.” Once you answer the call of God, you will be attacked.

There are some sad examples in scripture of those who heard, responded by faith, and then turned back. John Mark went with Paul and Barnabas on their first missionary journey, but turned back. Demas, a co-laborer with Paul, is said to have deserted Paul because of his love for the world. My friend, answering the call of God is not easy, but God will make you adequate to stand the attacks and follow through.

Hebrews 11:13-16 “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country…a heavenly one.

Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.” These men and women of faith never turned back because they realized there was no place to turn back to!!! Peter said it best when he said, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe that you are the holy one of God.”

I love you and care about you deeply. I pray today that you will be inspired by these words today…inspired to develop that close, intimate relationship with God, so that you will be available for His use. I pray that you will develop faith to answer His call when it comes.

I pray that as you answer that call by faith, nothing will stop you from performing the job that He has given you to perform. Our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify Him. Take your mind off of your desires, your goals, and your will. Focus instead on His desires, His goals, and His will.

If You know Jesus Christ as Savior by Faith You are on the Winning Side

(John 16:33; Romans 5:17; Matthew 16:18; John 12:31)

Never forget that if you know Jesus Christ as your Savior by faith, YOU ARE ON THE WINNING SIDE! I know most days I am dealing with the real day to day issues of living in this sin-filled and evil world. The message I share with you each day, regardless of the topic is to accept Christ by faith if you have not, and work towards being more like our Lord if you have. In the midst of dealing with all that is happening in our world each day, dealing with the sin we all fight in our own lives, lost at times can be the TRUTH that if you know Jesus Christ by faith, YOU ARE ON THE WINNING SIDE!

I don’t want you to ever forget that what I am doing each day is my best to challenge the lost to make the most important commitment a person can make in this life, and that is to come to know Jesus Christ by faith, while encouraging those who have already made that commitment to fully surrender your lives to the Lord and fulfill His plan and purpose during your brief journey. Satan is not playing games, and is relentless in his pursuit of leading as many as possible into everlasting damnation while doing all he can to destroy the lives and testimonies of those whose souls he can’t have.

This is a very real war for the souls and lives of people and war is never pretty. I realize that each day it may be the only opportunity I ever have to bring the Truth of God’s Word to a person, or reach someone that is battling with the issue I am dealing with on that day. I can’t afford to candy coat the Truth of God’s Word or hold back in challenging people to rise above this world and be all God has called them to be. Time is too short to play games and we have got to be as bold and relentless in bringing the Truth of God to people as satan is in bringing them lies.

Today, I want to take this opportunity to let you know that if you know Jesus as your Savior, by faith, YOU ARE ON THE WINNING SIDE! I am afraid that truth gets lost at times and needs to be repeated over and over. The fact is, satan has already lost, he has been defeated, his eternal home in the Lake of Fire has already been prepared and where he will be shortly. Sunday night I sat down and watched the DVD of my Ohio State Buckeyes beating the University of Miami Hurricanes 31-24 in double overtime in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl to win college football’s National Championship. It was one of the greatest college football games ever played and there were many times that it looked like Ohio State would lose the game. But I wasn’t worried since I already knew the final score!

THAT IS THE MESSAGE I WANT YOU TO HEAR TODAY. IF YOU KNOW JESUS CHRIST BY FAITH, YOU ALREADY KNOW THE FINAL SCORE!!! Let that precious Truth never be forgotten as you live your life each day. No matter what battles you may be facing, no matter what unexpected things may happen, there is nothing that will ever change the fact that if you know Jesus Christ by faith you are on the winning side. Jesus Christ insured that victory as he shed His precious blood on the cross so that your sins could be forgiven, He insured that victory when He took His last breath and declared, “It is finished,” and died as that one-time perfect sacrifice for all of those who would believe in Him by faith, and His victory was confirmed when on the third day God raised Him from the grave!

I love you and care about you so much. I know many of you today are dealing with the battles of this life and need to be reminded that you are on the winning side. No matter what it may look like, remember that the victory has already been won and as a follower of Jesus Christ you are on the winning side. There is no such thing as defeat for the child of God. So start fighting your battles with the assurance and knowledge that you have already won. Because of Jesus, you are the victor! Say it with me, “Because of Jesus, I have already won. I will live my life each day like the winner I am. I cannot be defeated because Jesus has already won the victory. I am on the winning side!”

Let me leave you with an additional word of encouragement today. As we have discussed over the past weeks, the “church” is not a denomination or building, but it is all of the people who know Christ as their Savior by faith regardless where they live or what building they worship Him in. The church is not a man-made idea, it is a Christ-made idea. It is still God’s number one instrument of change in this world and will be until our Lord returns. Despite all of the sin and evil in this world and how bad things may be, despite all of the work of satan and those who serve him, despite how those who know the Lord have failed Him at times, the church, God’s people, is still alive and well.

Every day all over the planet people are coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ by faith, the Truth of God’s Word is being heard, miracles are being performed, and lives are being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit because of those who are faithfully serving the Lord. Back in the mid-’70s a dear friend of mine Roger Breland, who founded and for 30 years faithfully led the group TRUTH, did the best rendition ever of Bill and Gloria Gaither’s song “The Church Triumphant.” I want to leave you today with the worlds from the monologue my friend Roger boldly proclaimed thousands of times all over the world in TRUTH concerts. May they be an encouragement to you today as you never forget, if you know Jesus Christ as your Savior by faith, YOU ARE ON THE WINNING SIDE!

“God Has Always Had A People! Many a foolish conquer made the mistake of thinking that because he had forced the Church of Jesus Christ out of site, that he had stilled its voice and snuffed out its life. But God Has Always Had A People! The powerful current of a rushing river is not diminished because it is forced to flow underground. The purest water is the stream that bursts crystal clear into the sunlight after it has fought its way through solid rock.

There have been charlatans who like Simon the magician, sought to barter on the open market that power which cannot be bought or sold. But God Has Always Had A People! Men who could not be bought and women who were beyond purchase. Yes, God Has Always Had A People! There have been times of affluence and prosperity when the Church’s message was nearly diluted into oblivion by those who sought to make it socially attractive, neatly organized and financially profitable. It has been gold plated, draped in purple and encrusted with jewels. It has been misrepresented, ridiculed, blotted and scorned. These followers of Jesus Christ have been according to the whim of the times elevated as sacred leaders and martyred as heretics. Yet through it all, there marches on that powerful army of the meek, God’s chosen people that can’t be bought, flattered, murdered or stilled. On through the ages they march. The Church, God’s Church Triumphant, is Alive and Well!

Now listen child of God. It’s alive! Discouraged pastor it’s His Church and it’s alive! Lonely Missionary sow your seeds with confidence! It’s alive my broken hearted friend! Old saint you’re not alone and forgotten, the Church is alive! Busy mother cast your cares on Jesus! It’s alive young student. You’re not alone in serving the Lord! Faithful father there’s rest in the Lord! The Church is alive! Cynical skeptic you haven’t killed God with your noisy unbelief. He’s Alive! So family of God raise you hands and praise the Lord. For the Church, God’s Church Triumphant, Is Alive and Well!” – (words written and copywritten by Bill and Gloria Gaither)

Senior Saints are the Most Under Used and Under Appreciated Resources in the Churc Today

(Leviticus 19:32; Proverbs 23:22; 1 Timothy 5:1-2)

Senior saints are the most under-used and under-appreciated resources in the church today! I want to let you in on a secret. One of the great sources of strength, encouragement, and confidence that I have in my life and ministry, comes from hundreds of senior saints worldwide that pray for me every day.

These are senior men and women that know God intimately because they have been walking with Him for decades. These are senior men and women that know every inch of the Throneroom of God because they have spent so much time there. These are senior men and women that have calluses on their knees from spending tens of thousands of hours over their lives in prayer. Knowing that these seasoned veterans of the faith are praying for me each day, is like the security blanket that Linus (of Peanuts fame) always carries around with him.

Sadly, many churches don’t give their senior saints the honor and respect that they are due. The reality is, that many of these men and women helped form the foundation of the church. When work needs to be done, they are always there. When projects need to be funded, you can always count on them. When the doors of the church are open, that is where you will always find them. The senior adults are the pillars of the house of God!

However, the greatest contributions that these men and women of God can make is in the SPIRITUAL LIFE of the church. They are great prayer warriors. They know that the altar is not for flower displays, but for people to come and travail before God. They have the experience with God to know that their prayers may not be answered in the first 30 seconds, and will “wait upon the Lord” until He does answer! They know the Word of God. All you have to do is look at their Bibles to know that they have been read over, and over, and over, and over again! God’s Word is the “lamp” unto their feet.

These aged warriors also have incredible wisdom about real life. They have lived 60, 70, 80, 90 years on this earth. They have seen and experienced everything that this life has to offer, both good and bad. The church needs to start tapping into the decades of walking with God and the real life experiences that our senior saints have to offer.

For those of you that are struggling with issues in your life today, here is my advice. Men, seek out an older man in the church that will agree to stand with you. Women, you need to seek out an older woman in the church that will stand with you. They can give you great wisdom about life, wise counsel for the problems that you are facing, not to mention call out your name before God each day.

The fact is, these senior men and women are LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES to be used by God. I have several special men in my life that I speak to every week. I spend a good part of my life talking, that is what God has called me to do. But I can assure you that when I am speaking with one of these Godly treasures, I shut up and listen, trying to be like a sponge and absorb all of their wisdom that I can.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray today that the church will recognize this incredibly valuable and underused asset that we have in the Kingdom. So many of our senior men and women have been asked to sit on the sidelines, when they still have so much to offer. I want to encourage the young adults today to love, honor, and respect those older men and women in your life, and MAKE TIME to spend time with them. The greatest gift that you can have in this life is wisdom. That is what you can gain from these senior saints, WISDOM!

Finally, let me say a word to those precious senior saints today. I have a special word for you today. GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH YOU! Let me say it again. GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH YOU! You are in a wonderful season of your life where God can use you to be a blessing to so many. You have lived lots of life, gained great wisdom over these many years, and now God wants you to share that wisdom with the next generation.

I read in the Bible how God used many men and women late in their life. The fact is, we NEVER stop serving the Lord. There is NO RETIREMENT from the work of God. So let me encourage you today to look for opportunities to share the great wisdom and experiences of your life with those of the next generation. Your greatest legacy will be in the lives that you touch for the Lord along your journey. God has given you the gift of many days on this earth, and I pray that you will share that gift with as many as you possibly can before God says that your work here is finished and calls you Home.

Thank you for your many years of service to our Lord. May all of us who follow you in the faith, be found as faithful as you have been in our Lord’s service!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

The Greatest Gift You can Give Anyone this Christmas are The Words of Everlasting Life

(John 3:16)

The greatest gift you can give anyone this Christmas are the words of everlasting life. Forward this to someone that you know who is lost, and pray that God will open their hearts to receive HIS gift to the world… JESUS CHRIST!
Today is the day we celebrate the greatest gift ever given. We celebrate today the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God’s gift to the world. Today is truly a day of rejoicing. Because of this gift from God, we can be forgiven of our sins and reunited with our Creator for eternity.

So much of what I deal with each day in this Devotional is to help you walk through this short journey here on earth victoriously and productively. But we must never forget that our time here is very brief and there is an eternity waiting for us when this journey is complete. I want to focus for just a minute on this most blessed day, to that split second when our life on this earth is finished and we are launched into eternity. Do you this day have the assurance that when your life is complete, your eternity is going to be spent in Heaven?

If the answer to that question is anything but a resounding YES, then let me just share this simple truth with you. You see, our God, our Creator so loved this world, so loved His creation, that He sent His son, His only Son to be part of this world. Jesus had one mission in this life. It wasn’t to be a great teacher, though He was a great teacher. It wasn’t to be a great prophet, though He was a great prophet. It wasn’t to be a great miracle worker, though He did work many great miracles. No my friend, Jesus came to this world with only one job…to die.

You see, the reason it was vital for Jesus to be immaculately conceived by God and born of a virgin was so that He was not infected with the same problem you and I were born into this life with….sin. Otherwise, the best He could have done was die for His own sins. Jesus lived on this earth for some 33 years before it was time to complete His work. That work was finished on a cross on the hill called Calvary where He hung and then died as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of this world.

That is why, whosoever believes in Jesus, shall not perish for eternity, but have everlasting life! Believing in Jesus is the only way to be saved because it was Jesus who died and was sacrificed for our sins. There are no other ways to be saved, no other roads back to God, there are no other plans of salvation. This is God’s one and only plan to reconcile his fallen creation back to Himself. This is the only way you can escape eternity apart from the God who created you in His own image. It is through His grace and by faith in Jesus Christ!

There are many incredible mysteries in the Bible. There are many doctrinal issues that will never be fully understood until we are in Heaven. But God made the most important decision of this life very easy and simple to understand. He gave every one the opportunity to have their sins washed away and be assured of an eternity in Heaven.

That is why we celebrate Christmas today! That is why we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The most important decision you will make in this life is not who you will marry, where you will live, what kind of job you will have. The most important decision you will make in this life is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

If you have not done that yet, the Bible says that today is the day of salvation. I would invite you to go to my website, and click on the button that says PLAN OF SALVATION (direct link: ). Read those words, pray that prayer, and accept today God’s gift to you this Christmas, the gift of His son Jesus.

I love you and care about you deeply. For those of you who already know Christ as your Savior, I would encourage you to forward this email to someone you know who is lost and without hope this Christmas. What better present to give someone than the opportunity to know Jesus as their Savior.

I pray today that you will take time out of the busy day of travel, visiting friends and family, to focus on the gift God has given to us in His son Jesus. He gave His very best gift to us, which is why I will continue to encourage you to give your very best everyday to Him.

May you and your family have a most blessed celebration of our Lord’s birth!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
