Is It Any Wonder Why the Christian Community has Virtually Zero Impact on Our Society

(Luke 19:40; Romans 10:14)

Is it any wonder why the Christian community has virtually ZERO impact on our society when one of the most high profile “churches” in the nation is debating whether members of their choir should sign a covenant not to engage in the sin of homosexuality? Robert Schuller’s Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Ca. recently created an anti-homosexuality covenant to be signed by the members of the choir. Sounds pretty reasonable to me. How can any legitimate church have any credibility if there are members of the clergy or those in various church ministries purposely and without shame engaging in acts the Bible clearly identifies as a sin.

Well, in this time we live where there are entire denominations that glorify and embrace this sin, “churches” that have openly and unrepentant clergy who engage in homosexual relationships, a generation of gutless pastors who are afraid of “offending” anyone by even speaking out about this sin, others who do and later are discovered to be engaging in homosexual acts themselves, it was not shocking that many members of the choir refused to sign the anti-homosexuality covenant.

Worse yet, but also not shocking was founding pastor Robert Schuller railing aginst the very idea of such a covenant. Of course Schuller who has been on TV for decades preaching a watered down, God loves everyone, never talk about sin or hell, motivational message similar to his mentor Norman Vincent Peale. Both Schuller and Peale are 33rd degree Freemason cult members, so the fact they never have once preached a true Gospel message or given an public alter call is not surprising.

Less than two years ago that Schuller fired his son from their TV program for preaching too much Bible and too much Jesus! Schuller, who had stepped down from the program, came back to Schuller preach his “you can do it” positive mental attitude philosophies with a few Bible verses sprinkled in to a national audience. His program highlighted many high profile Christians, as well as many of the modern New Age gurus whose books he proudly sells in his church’s bookstore.
Over the past four years, viewership of the weekly “Hour of Power” program has been down, which means their donations have been down, causing them to cut the program from it original hour to a half hour in many markets. Schuller, Jr. preached a much more Biblically based message than his father, staying away from much of the ear tickling New Age rhetoric his father delivered for so many years. Schuller, Jr. actually said Jesus often in his messages, something his father rarely did. In the end, it wasn’t about God’s Truth but ratings and dollars. Schuller, Jr. learned the cold hard lesson that the Truth doesn’t sell as well as the lie does and his father is more interested in money than in bringing God’s Truth into people’s lives.

The weekly program is now bringing in outside preachers for their broadcast. I was not surprised that the two names mentioned were Bill Hybles of Willow Creek in suburban Chicago and Rev. Kirbyjohn Caldwell who pastors the largest United Methodist Church in the nation located in Houston, Texas. Hybels is one of the founders of the seeker church movement, meaning he will preach some watered down message designed not to offend anyone. Caldwell is a very prominent supporter of Barack Hussein Obama, so no doubt he will preach a typical religious left social message.

Rather than using this weekly vehicle to bring the Truth of God’s Word into people’s lives, call sin what it is and allow the Holy Spirit to bring people under conviction, the program is a weekly parade of gutless preachers who will never look into the cameras and preach the Truth of the Bible, nor will they look into the cameras and tell people that without Jesus they will die and go to hell, and than give them an opportunity to accept the Lord as their Savior by faith. Probably the only reason Joel Osteen won’t be on is that he has his own weekly program that does that.

*As a side note, I won’t be waiting by my phone for a call from the Crystal Cathedral to come preach on their TV broadcast. If Schuller, Sr. fired his son, I can’t imagine what he would do to me! Probably stone me to death like they did Stephen!

I love the interaction in Luke 19 with Jesus and the Pharisees as they were complaining to Jesus about His disciples who were declaring for all to hear His miracles and without shame praising His name! We are His disciples and that is what we should be doing. Telling others how Jesus has changed our lives and praising Him before this lost world we live in. Jesus told the Pharisees that even if all His disciples were silent, the very rocks would cry out!!! My word for you today is simply this. Tell others what Jesus has done for you and boldly declare to this lost world that Jesus Christ is our only hope and our only answer.

Some may ask why we have been commanded to tell others about our faith in Jesus. The answer to that question is found in the book or Romans, in Chapter 10 verse 14 where God’s Word says, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” How can we expect someone to get saved if they have never been told how? How are they suppose to be told how to get saved unless some person tells them? God’s Word is clear that all of those who know Jesus as their Savior have been called to tell others about His love. This is not just the job of the pastor or evangelist, but ALL who call Christ Lord!

My friend, listen to me carefully. The only message we have is JESUS. Let me say that again. The ONLY message we have is Jesus. Robert Schuller, Sr. is just another world-pleasing motivational speaker unless he tells people about Jesus. Robert Schuller, Jr. is just another guy who can talk unless he tells people about Jesus. The pastor of your local church is no better than the drunk at the local bar unless he tells people about Jesus. Bill Keller has NOTHING to tell over 2.4 million world wide every day via email unless he tells people about Jesus. YOU have nothing but empty words for people unless you tell them about Jesus. We have no message other than the message of Jesus!!!

I love you and care about you so much. Pray for the Schuller family. No doubt these events of recent years has strained their relationship as a father and son. Pray also that God will bring Schuller, Sr. under conviction to leave the Masonic cult and use whatever time he has left to preach the unadulterated Truth of the Bible and lead people to faith in Jesus. Pray for his son that he will not be deterred by these events in his service to the Lord, and that he will never compromise the Truth of the Bible just to please men, even his father

I want to challenge you and encourage you today to become BOLD in declaring Christ to those God has put into your life. Your family, friends, neighbors, those you work with or go to school with, people you recreate with, in addition to the people you simply meet in the course of your daily life ARE THE VERY PEOPLE GOD HAS ALLOWED TO CROSS YOUR PATH, NOT BY ACCIDENT, BUT TO TELL THEM ABOUT JESUS!

Telling others is not an option, it is a commandment for all of those who know the Lord as their Savior. How can we expect someone to get saved unless they are told how. You are the one God has put in their life to tell them how. I pray today that you will hear these words, take this challenge, and begin to make it a priority in your life each day to tell others about Jesus. We have no message other than Jesus, and if we won’t declare His goodness and grace, if we won’t praise His name, the very rocks will cry out!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

When I Committed My Life to Go into Full-Time Ministry I Accepted God’s Challenge to become One of His Watchmen

(Isaiah 62:6-9)

When I committed my heart and life to go into full-time ministry nearly 20 years ago, I accepted God’s challenge to become one of His watchmen. In ancient days, the watchman was the person who occupied a tower overlooking the city and its walls. It was his job to announce to the city when the enemy was preparing to attack. The majority of the Old Testament prophets felt that as spiritual watchmen to the people, their warnings were for the most part ignored. They lamented the fact that the people never listened despite their prophetic insight and warnings from God.

I am sure that many of today’s spiritual leaders feel like those Old Testament prophets, as they sound the warning from God for people to turn from their sin and embrace God. That message, of course, is largely ignored. Early in my ministry, after feeling that same frustration, God showed me that it was not my job to “make people change.” It was my job to share with them the fact that God loves them, that there is everlasting life through Jesus Christ, and that the answers they are seeking are found in Him. Period. I was to sound the alarm, blow the trumpet . . . that was my job. Only God can change a person’s heart. That is a Divine work, one only He can accomplish.

Once I came to that realization, it became easier for me to focus on what my job was and to do it to the best of my ability. God told me that I was to be a loud, and bold watchman in this new medium called the Internet that is able to reach more people, quicker than anything that has been known to man. My friend, I try my best each day to be a “watchman” here on the Internet. I will continue to tell those on the Net that God is real, He is alive, and it is only through His son Jesus that we can enjoy a purposeful life here on earth and know God’s free gift of everlasting life.

I love you and care about you SOOOOO much!!! Let me encourage you today. Everyone that knows Christ as their Savior has been called to be God’s watchman. Just remember, God has given you the job of sharing His love and the truth of His Word. That’s it. The changes, the miracles, those will all come from God himself. You are His instrument to touch a person, He is the one that actually does the work.

Think about that today and take the pressure off yourself if the person you have been praying for isn’t getting healed, or won’t accept Christ, or their marriage isn’t restored. God is the one who will bring about the actual change. We are simply called to be faithful to share His message of hope and love in Jesus Christ.

Be one of God’s watchmen in these last days!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Over Nearly 12 Years We have Seen Tens of Millions of Lives Impacted by Liveprayer

(John 3:16)

Blessings my friend,

Over nearly 12 years, we have seen tens of millions of lives impacted by Liveprayer, with over 500,000 souls we know of coming to faith in Jesus. We send the Devotional each day to over 2.4 million people worldwide for FREE. Our team of over 700 retired pastors send personal responses to the 40,000 plus emails we get DAILY for prayer and counsel for FREE. We have never charged a penny for anything we have done in 12 yrs, only shared our operational needs and trusted God to move on hearts to provide.

We have been through much over the years, but tonight I am coming to you and asking for your prayers, and to make whatever sacrifce you can to help me. I have never wavered over the 11+ years of Liveprayer, that the Lord has raised up this ministry in the last days as one of His chief instruments to change the spiritual course of the nation.

We have operated outside the boundaries of the traditional church/ministry world. While that has hurt our ability to garner large followings of Christians and the tens of millions of dollars it would bring in each year, it has also kept us free from the politics, the compromises, the unhealthy associations, the watered down messages, all major ministries eventually fall into.

It also allowed us the freedom to reach tens of millions of people worldwide outside the four walls of the church with the Truth of the Bible and the fact Jesus is the ONLY hope and answer for each person.

These past weeks in New York City by ground zero has greatly impacted me. I didn’t need to get involved in what was going on in New York City, and gave God 100 reasons why I didn’t want to (including the money it would cost). But God said “Go, trust Me!”

I have seen the incredible need there for a true work of God that is designed to simply reach the hurting, the lost, with the hope of Christ. I have also seen that such a work in New York City could not only spark a real revival in that great city, but across the nation and world!

I have also witnessed how even the most simple Gospel message has been missing from the mainstream culture for so long, that it is now seen as hate speech, intolerant, and rejected by the lost masses. Even worse, it is even rejected by many so-called churches!!! I

I have been acutely aware of these facts, since my work over these many years has been in the marketplace. I highly doubt most people really understand the extent just the Gospel message is reviled and hated in the culture today. The Gospel has always been an offense to the non-believer, but in this once great Christian nation, never before has it been so boldly and visibly rejected

To survive all of these years while reaching several million souls worldwide daily through, the TV program on secular stations and networks, has required me to develop an incredible faith in the Lord to use our efforts to impact lives and provide the resources we need to operate. Many marvel how we have been able to accomplish so much with so little.

God has brought millions of people through Liveprayer over these past 11 years who have prayed for me and the ministry, and thousands who like you, have selflessly sacrificed to support His work here. Together we have done an incredible amount of great work in tens of millions of lives around the world.

As I come to you today, we have some very critical financial needs. As you know, we accrued over $100,000 in shortfalls during 2009 due to the downturn in the economy and a drop of nearly 65% in donations from the previous years.

We have been blessed, since over the past 2 years of this economic downturn, thousands of churches and over 10,000 non-profits have closed due to a lack of funding. We have pressed hard this year and because of some special large gifts, have covered $90,000 of those shortfalls. I have been asking 2 people to make a special one-time gift of $5,000 to help me clear this up.

Due to cutting everything possible to continue effective operations, we have held our own so far this year, despite an additional 8% drop in donations from last year. We just finished paying off our February budget, so we still have to cover the $35,000 left for this month.

I have been on the front lines, taking the bullets, for nearly 20 years now. I refuse to retreat to the safety and profitability of the “Christian trough” while this nation is destroyed by satan and his minions and souls needlessly end up in hell.

I have but one life, and when it was over, I want to be able to stand before God and know that I gave everything I had for the Kingdom. I want to take my last breath knowing my life’s work is complete and I held nothing back in my service for the Lord.

I have only been able to fight this fight these past 2 decades because of dear friends like you. Now more than ever I need you to stand with me. Pray, give as you are able in accordance with what the Bible teaches, and take your stand with me.

Also, keep this in mind, for $12 million dollars, lots of money in one respect, virtually nothing in the scheme of things, we have the ability to turn this nation back to God and HIS Truth and save tens of millions of souls. God has showed me there are several people reading these words today who have the ability to either give such an amount, or the people who can and will.

The key is the $500,000 we need by the end of the month, $90,000 of that is needed right away. After praying, the most efficient way to get this initial amount in on time is to break it up into 100 $5,000 units. So far, we have had 3 units committed. yesterday, one dear friend took the other 1/2 unit to work with someone else who could only take 1/2. Also, another friend of the ministry has issued a challenge to match the next 3 units. That means your unit will be doubled!

Don’t forget, we will be placing a gorgeous plaque in the lobby of the new center with 100 engraved leafs, each one in honor or memoriam of someone special in the life of the person giving the unit for that leaf. For a special gift of $100,000, we will name the new chapel in honor of a person the donor designates. We are also looking for one special donor to give a gift of $100,000 in memory of the victims of 9/11 who will be honored in the 9-11 Memorial Prayer Room that will become a must-see for the many daily visitors to ground zero.

—>Lastly, to help cover the construction costs of the new “9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero,” we have 10,000 bricks that people can personally engrave for $100 each, that will form the main walls of the sanctuary where souls will be saved, and a nation will be turned back to God and His Truth!!! This is an incredible opportunity to honor someone you love, and memorialize them at a place millions of people will visit, and God will use to bring revival to this nation!!! To get 1 or multiple personally engraved bricks, please go to:

I am asking you today to pray about taking 1 or more of the units. I realize for many this could be an incredible sacrifce, but when have you ever had the opportunity to be part of something that can literally change the spiritual direction of this nation???

The time is short, the spiritual state of this nation hangs in the balance, the souls of hundreds of millions of people are at stake. It is time to act!!! THE ONLY WAY SATAN CAN KEEP ME DOWN IS BY LIMITING OUR FINANCES!!!

The Bible teaches us to give according to our ability to give. For some that may be a gift of $5 or $10. For others that may be a gift of $20 or $50. Still others can give a gift of $100, $200, or $500. God is calling a few people who He has richly blessed to make the sacrifice to be on of the 3 people I need to make that one-time special gift of $5,0000 and the 2 I need to make a special one-time gift of $7,000. All I ask is that you pray, and than be obedient to give as the Lord gudies your heart to give!

Feeding the Sheep, Not Fleecing the Sheep

(Deuteronomy 16:17)

Feeding the sheep, not fleecing the sheep. For many years prior to starting Liveprayer, in addition to preaching in churches around the country, I was heavily involved in the Christian television world. I produced programming, consulted with most of the networks and stations, as well as many of the top TV ministries in the area of fundraising.

What I saw during those years were huge infrastructures of buildings and people that had to be fed, and heads of networks and TV ministries that lived extravagant and opulent lifestyles. Of course, the money for all this came from the people they were there to minister to. The focus of the planning meetings I sat in on were not about how to minister to people, but how to get them to give! It was not about feeding the sheep, but fleecing the sheep!!!

Listen, nobody understands the need to raise money to spread the Gospel like I do. That is why I don’t have a building, but still operate out of the back of the same used car lot owned by one of my board members we started in almost 12 years ago. That is why I don’t have a huge staff of people, but have managed to use technology to streamline the operations and depend on several key people to perform multiple jobs.

That is why I don’t live in a million dollar home and drive brand new luxury cars or fly around in private jets. I have done everything humanly possible to bring God’s Word to this lost world and share the hope and love of Christ with the lost masses in the most efficient and inexpensive way possible!

Many people have asked why we struggle so much just to meet our budget each month. Simple! Despite knowing every trick there is to raise money, I refuse to prostitute the people we minister to by selling their information to marketing companies or trying to get them to buy every kind of product and service known to man. Everything we do at Liveprayer is FREE! I am not here to sell people anything, but to GIVE them the Word of God and the hope we have in Jesus! I am not trying to reach people to generate money from them, but to bring God’s truth into their lives.

People know if you really care about them, or if you only care about how much money they can give you! I refuse to look at people as “giving units,” but as souls to challenge and encourage, to help along life’s journey. The day I begin to look at the people we minister to as nothing but a group of people to generate money from, I’ll leave the ministry.

From day one, God told me to share our need and let Him move on the hearts of people to give. For 101 months now I have watched Him do just that. We literally operate month to month and I only ask people to give what we need to get through that month. Each month is a testimony in and of itself of how God provides. People ask me how I sleep when we need tens of thousands in a few days to pay the bills. I tell them one advantage to only sleeping 4 hours a day is you sleep real good for those 4 hours!

But seriously, I know I have to do my part and share the need, contact people who I know who have the ability to help, and then trust God to move on hearts. God has honored our faith and commitment to trust Him, and as we start each month, I know His Spirit is guiding us since He is the one who sustains what we do each month.

So much of the fund-raising and financial pleas I see take God’s Word totally out of context. Giving to a ministry does NOT guarantee that you will get back that money plus so many times more. God blesses our obedience in MANY ways, not just financially. Our health is a GREAT blessing. The health and safety of our family and friends is a GREAT blessing. Our old car starting and getting us from place to place each day is a GREAT blessing. God moving in a situation at work or school is a GREAT blessing.

The point is that God DOES bless us for our obedience and faithfulness, God DOES bless us when we are faithful and obedient in our giving. But His blessings come in many forms, NOT just financial!!!

From day one in my ministry, I have done my best to follow the Biblical formula for giving. First, giving is an act of worship. It is a way to honor God for His provision in our life. Second, ALL that we have belongs to Him. When we give, we are simply giving back to God a portion of what He has entrusted to us. Third, the Bible says to “give according to your ability to give.” You can’t give what you don’t have, nor does God expect you to pledge money you don’t have!

And yes, we are told to give God a portion of what He gives us right off the top, but God also expects you to take care of your day to day living needs as well. It makes no sense to give God $30 when you have no more money and you have an electric bill for $30. PAY YOUR ELECTRIC BILL. DON’T EVER SEND TO LIVEPRAYER THE MONEY YOU NEED TO PAY YOUR BILLS OR TO FEED YOUR FAMILY! TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEEDS FIRST!

When you are faithful in tithing to God each week, you will be amazed how God will bless your finances. God WILL bless you for your obedience in this area. Giving IS important, but giving for the right reasons is just as important.

I love you and care about you so much. I am sure that I probably greatly upset some people in the ministry today. But God never intended people to give out of guilt, or give because they have been manipulated or tricked. We are to give because of our love for God. We give because God has entrusted each of us with a certain amount of provision during our life, and it is an act of obedience when we give a portion of that to Him.

The Bible teaches that we give our tithe to the place where we are fed, which in most cases is our home church. Our gifts are what we give to those additional works of God outside of the church that the Lord uses to feed us spiritually and gives us a burden for.

When God directed Moses to build the Tabernacle, when God directed David to build the Temple, He told them both the same thing. Share the exact need with the people and challenge them to give. THAT my friend is the Biblical example of how to fund God’s work. Go to God’s people, share the exact need, and challenge them to pray and give as God leads them to give.

We are to give out of our love for God, we are to give because all that we have belongs to God, we are to give with a joyful heart . . . NOT out of guilt!!! I count it a great honor to come into your life each day and share God’s Truth and Christ’s love with you. I am not here to fleece you but to FEED you!!!

***MARCH FINANCIAL UPDATE: With just 4 days left in March, we are facing some serious financial challenges. Due to attacks on our servers early Thursday morning, we have had to spend $10,000 we didn’t have on a new server and dozens of hard drives. One dear friend sent $2,000 yesterday to help us with this emergency need. So we still need $8,000 to pay the balance of that emergency equipment purchase, plus the last $38,000 of our March operational budget. I refuse to be intimidated by these needs, since every month for 12 yrs now, the Lord has called on several key people to send a significant gift, and hundreds of others sending what they are able. HE IS FAITHFUL! Please take a few minutes today and pray about what the Lord is asking you to do today to help me insure we get the $46,000 we need over the next few days. Everyone can pray, most can send something, even if it is $5, and there are 3-4 people who God has richly blessed and can make a sacrifce of $5,000 or more. Thank you for being obedient and giving as the Lord purposes in your heart to give to help me. God bless you!!!

To make a special gift to Liveprayer, you can send your gift to Liveprayer on your major credit card at our website under the “Donation” button, or you can give from your PayPal account by using my email address, , or you can mail it to: Liveprayer, 6660 46th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33709. Are You Enjoying Your Life

(John 10:10)

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” – (John 10:10 KJV)

Seriously, take a moment right now, think, and honestly answer me, are you enjoying your life? I am not asking you if everything is perfect in your life, since that will never be the case. We will always have things that we are facing, battles to fight, challenges to overcome, that is simply part of living in this sin-filled and fallen world we are passing through. But today I want you to take some time and reflect and tell me whether you are enjoying your life or not.

In my time with the Lord very early this morning, this is the question God asked me. As I was praying for the things I had on my list to pray for, spending some time after that just fellowshipping with the Lord and talking to Him about different issues, He stopped me and simply asked, “Bill, are you enjoying your life?” Without any hesitation I told the Lord that yes, I was really enjoying my life. Despite the problems and trials we all have to face in our life, despite the never-ending challenges of Liveprayer, the bottom line is I look forward to each day and truly enjoy my life.

Afterwards, I was thinking back about this seemingly strange question He had asked me, but the more I thought about it the less strange it really was. You see, the Lord wants us to enjoy our life. After all, the Bible tells us that He came to give us life and LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY! This is a Biblical truth that we often forget and I am afraid a promise from the Lord we don’t embrace enough. What happens is we get so caught up in our day-to-day trials and tribulations we forget that we are supposed to be enjoying our life along the way.

Here is the key and the message I want you to hear today. No matter what your trials may be, no matter what your challenges may be, no matter what your battles may be, you can still enjoy your life and embrace the promise that Jesus came to not just give us life, but life more abundantly! That means despite the hurts and pains you may be experiencing today, you can still enjoy your life and the abundance Christ promised you.

I already know many of you have stopped reading and are typing emails that basically are asking me how you can enjoy your life when you are going through a divorce, or dealing with a major health crisis, or in bondage to some addiction, or have serious financial problems, or children who are living in rebellion to God, or need a job, or any number of things that may be going on in your life today. The answer is your relationship with Christ! Because of HIM, you can face all of the problems that are out there and still enjoy your life.

Jesus told His disciples in the Garden that they would have trials and tribulations in their life, but He added to “be of good cheer” because He had overcome this world. We can never forget that because of the victory Christ won on the cross 2000 years ago, we have the victory over whatever problems life may bring our way. We can go through a divorce and be victorious. We can battle major health problems and be victorious. We can battle an addiction and be victorious. We can face severe financial problems and be victorious. We can face whatever life throws our way and be victorious because of HIM!!!

I love you and care about you so much. I want to encourage you today that if you are not enjoying your life, it is time to START! The fact is today is the only day you are certain of, tomorrow is promised to none of us. Each day we wake up is a gift from God and we need to treat it as such. No matter what we may have to face during the day, we have to never forget that Christ is living within us, we have His strength, can live in His victory, and that is why we can go through the day with that peace that passes all human understanding and unspeakable joy.

I will be praying for you today to start enjoying your life. Simply know that it is never going to be perfect and that there will always be challenges to face, hurdles to overcome, and trials to endure. That is just part of this journey we are on. However, because you know Jesus, you have His strength, His promises, His hope, and the assurance that when this short journey is over you will be forever with Him.

Are you enjoying your life? If the answer is no, then you better start. Life is too short to not enjoy it. The greatest enjoyment of all is when we are fulfilling our purpose which is to serve and glorify Him with our life. I can guarantee you that if you are allowing the Lord to use your life you will not only find that perfect peace and great joy, but each day ENJOY YOUR LIFE!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Paying the Price to be a Christian

(Mark 6:14-29)

Paying the price to be a Christian. I have always admired and tried to pattern my ministry after the prophets of the Old Testament. These were men of God who weren’t very popular, hated by the established religious leaders, shunned by most of the people, men who couldn’t’ be bought, who refused to compromise their message for fame and fortune, and who understood their calling in life was to faithfully and obediently deliver the Word of God to the people. Men like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Micah, and Jonah. John the Baptist was another in that line of great prophets whose only goal in life was to faithfully serve the Lord no matter what the cost.

It costs most people in the United States virtually nothing to become a Christian. Let me explain. Of course we know Christ paid the cost for our salvation when he gave His very life on the cross. He paid in full the cost of our salvation. However, when we accept the Lord as our Savior by faith, we literally give our lives to Him. The Bible says that we are bought with a price and that it is no longer our life any longer, that it belongs to Christ. Getting saved is literally an act of surrender where we give our very life to the Lord. We belong to Him.

The question I have for you today is how many really do that? How many people really give their lives completely and totally to the Lord? What price do you pay to be a follower of Christ? Most can’t even pay the price it takes to get up on Sunday morning and go to church! There are many places in the world where accepting the Lord is literally a death sentence. People understand that by accepting the Lord as their Savior they are possibly going to lose their life. They know going in that the price to become a follower of Christ could be their life! I wonder how many people would come forward to accept Jesus while they played “Just As I Am” knowing that accepting Christ could very possibly mean getting killed?

Most of the Old Testament prophets put their very lives on the line every time they spoke, “thus sayeth the Lord,” since it was rarely a popular word and would upset someone. In declaring the Word of God they called out those who lived their lives in rebellion to God and His Word, which often included the political leaders of the day as well as the rich and powerful whose god was this temporal world. In declaring the Word God gave them to speak, they would call out the religious leaders of the day who were more worried about profiting off of God and living a life of ease and luxury.

***I find it interesting that thousands of years later the hard Truth of the Word still calls out those who live in rebellion to God’s Truth, still calls out the political leaders of the day, still calls out the rich and powerful whose god is this world, and still calls out the religious leaders of the day who have made a business of the Gospel !!!

In reading about John the Baptist and the Old Testament prophets, they didn’t have buildings. They went to the people. They didn’t have huge staffs, since they were servants of God, not men who were being served. They didn’t have all the luxuries of the day, since their desires weren’t for the things of this world but the things of God. However, I don’t ever read about any of them starving to death or walking around naked or going without since God always provided what they needed, and they trusted Him each day for their provision.

John the Baptist knew that by telling King Herod the truth about taking his brother’s wife he would possibly be signing his death warrant. But John wasn’t worried about his life, only about obediently delivering the Word of God. I think about Stephen in Acts 7. Again, here was a true man of God not worried about his life, only delivering the Word of God faithfully and without compromise. He knew that by telling the truth to the Sanhedrin they would probably kill him. But he wasn’t going to compromise or water down the Truth even if it cost him his life. As they stoned Stephen to death, Jesus rose and stood to welcome Stephen into Glory for his faithfulness!!!

On this day in March 2011, right this very minute, there are brothers and sisters in Christ in many places around the world giving their very lives for the faith. The disciples of Jesus who ran to save their lives the night our Lord was taken by the Romans, were all eventually martyred for their faith in Christ except for John. Hundreds of thousands of men and women over the years have obediently laid down their life for the cause of Christ. These heroes of the faith knew their citizenship was not of this world, but a better one. They were not bound by the temporal things of this life, but by the high calling of the Gospel, even unto death!!!

I love you and care about you so much. What price do YOU pay for your faith? Most won’t ever be asked to pay the ultimate price and give their life for the Lord, but my question to you today is would you? That is only a question you can answer. The fact is Jesus gave His life for you, would you be willing to give your life for Him? If you would, then what have you got to lose by speaking up for the Lord and serving Him each day? If you are willing to die for Christ, than taking the ridicule, scorn, harassment, and whatever else you may have to face for standing for and serving Christ should be easy.

In my personal life, I still remember vividly the first death threat I received after Liveprayer was about 1 month old. It stunned me. It didn’t seem real. It did cause me to sit down and decide if I was really ready to possibly die for the cause of Christ. Over the past 139 months, I have received an average of 8 death threats a month. I’ve been told there are several fatwas issued by Muslim groups calling for my death. I don’t fear death since I know where my eternal home is. I also know that as long as the Lord has work for me to do, NOTHING will happen to me. The Lord will watch over me and protect me until my work here is finished.

I will be praying for you today. Pray that you will sit down for a few minutes with the Lord and look at what price you pay to be a Christian. More important, what price are you willing to pay to be a Christian? It is a legitimate question since a huge reason we have so much apathy in the Body of Christ is there is little to no price to pay. Trust me, that is going to change very soon. Real persecution of Christians is coming to this nation, and you will have to decide one day if you really want to be called a Christian or not. Like in other parts of the world, simply being identified as a follower of Christ may cost you your very life.

This message today is to prepare you to be part of the true remnant of Christ when playing church, playing Christian will no longer cut it. We are going against a very real foe who is NOT playing games and is deadly serious about taking souls to hell. To fight such an enemy and be victorious, we have to be even more committed and willing to pay whatever the price, even if is our lives, to serve the Lord. The freedom and prosperity of the United States has made Believers here weak. That is why we have very little influence in our culture. Now it is time to rise up, take our stand for Christ, and be willing to pay whatever price we have to to be called a Christian!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Now there are Two Cleopatras in Hell

(2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Luke 16:19-31)

Now there are two Cleopatras in hell! Movie icon Elizabeth Taylor died Wednesday. Taylor was one of Hollywood’s classic actresses, winning 2 Oscars during her long and storied career. Her personal life however, was not as successful, getting married 8 times. Saddest of all was the fact she grew up in the Christian Science cult, and later converted to Judaism.

As world renown as Taylor was, as great an actress as she was, the reality is when she took her last breath Wednesday and passed into eternity, she stood before Almighty God. God was not impressed with her movie career, her 33.19 carat diamond and vast wealth, or her beauty. Like each person who dies, the only thing God cared about was if Elizabeth Taylor knew Jesus as her personal Savior!

Some people may feel this is a very cold Devotional. Quite the opposite. It is because we have a generation of gutless pastors that I MUST share this message with you today. What I am sharing with you today is the most important issue in life, and one that needs to be discussed since death is a very real part of our life, and something each person reading these words today will experience in the future.

The Bible clearly tells us that tomorrow is promised to none of us. The fact is, the moment we take our last breath we will stand before God. At that instant, there is only one thing that will matter and that is whether you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart and life by faith. At that moment, those who have accepted Him will be forever with God their Creator, those who have rejected Him will be forever separated from God their Creator.

It is impossible for us with our finite minds to even begin to comprehend the glory of Heaven, being with God our Creator for eternity. Likewise, it is impossible for us to even begin to imagine the horrors of Hell, being separated from God our Creator for eternity.

The Bible, which is our final authority in ALL matters is very clear on death. It is final. There is no such thing as reincarnation, we are not coming back as a petunia. We don’t die and go to some special place where people can pray us into Heaven over time. The moment we die our body is no longer of any use and our soul lives on for eternity, either forever with God, or forever separated from Him. That eternal destination is determined by only ONE THING, our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Being a member of a certain church CANNOT save you. Being baptized as a baby CANNOT save you. The faith of your parents CANNOT save you. Good works CANNOT save you. A pastor or priest simply praying over you while you are dying CANNOT save you. The ONLY THING that can save you is putting your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. It is a choice, a conscious choice, that YOU and YOU ALONE have to make BEFORE you die.

Sadly, based on her own words, Elizabeth Taylor had rejected faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible also tells us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” You see my friend, it is our SIN that separates us from a Holy and Righteous God, and why only faith in Jesus Christ, who paid for our sins can allow us to be reconciled to God. Taylor did many good works throughout her life. However, the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8,9 that good works will not save you.

No doubt a woman as well traveled as Taylor had to come across many people over the years that shared with her that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. Only God knows our heart, and only God knows if at some point at the very end of her life Taylor made a commitment to Christ. But let me reiterate, as great of a life as she lived, as loved as she was, it all meant nothing the moment she died.

—> If Elizabeth Taylor died without confessing Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, she is lost for eternity and in Hell with the original Cleopatra who lived a generation before Jesus, but rejected the God of Israel for the false gods of Egypt!

I have no doubt that somewhere in the world, within a few minutes of the passing of Elizabeth Taylor a woman that had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior also died. This woman was not known by the world, she did not have great wealth, but death is the great equalizer. If Taylor died without Christ, this woman that was known and loved by the world, this woman that had all the wealth this world could offer, was instantly cast into eternal darkness.

At the same time, the woman who DID know Jesus as her Savior by faith, who had no fame or fortune in this life, was instantly ushered into the presence of Almighty God for eternity. “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose his soul?” (Luke 16:19-31)

I love you and care about you so much. Being a famous person in this life does NOT guarantee you anything when this brief journey is over. Each person is responsible for their own eternal destination by their choice in regard to Jesus Christ. You see, it was Jesus that died on a cross 2,000 years ago for your sins and mine. That is why ONLY faith in Jesus can save you.

If right now, this very moment, you do not have the assurance that when your life is over, you will be forever with God, the Bible says that TODAY is the day of salvation. You never have to doubt or wonder again, Bow your head right now, ask God to open your heart, and read the words at this following link: I will be praying for you as you make the most important decision that you will make in this life, where you will spend eternity.

God has used your faithfulness over the years..and that of many others to use this ministry to impact tens of millions of lives worldwide…He has always moved on the hearts of a few at critical times to send a major gift to help me..please pray about making the sacrifce today and allow God to use you…remember His blessings flow from our obedience….
