***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, I have strayed from you and want to come home. I have allowed the daily life in this world to lead me astray, to allow me to drift from you, and I miss you dear Lord! Today, I recommit my heart and life to you and to serve you. Use me for your glory Lord. Make my life count for your Kingdom. Above all, bring to me your PEACE and JOY! Give me the joy of my salvation again as I walk close to you each moment of each day. In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!

One of the great passages of scripture is the Parable of the Prodigal Son. It is such a powerful picture of those who know Christ as their Savior, have a relationship with Him, and decide one day they want to live life apart from the Lord. They no longer have a desire to follow Jesus and simply want to live their life in rebellion to God and His Word. I share with you often the fact that our way never works, God’s way always works. When we cho! ose to
live life our way, there is nothing but pain and heartache. When we choose to live life God’s way, there is peace and joy and the abundance that Christ promised.

The parable starts out with the younger of two sons asking his father for his portion of the estate. He basically went to his dad and said let’s figure out what part of the estate is mine, and let me have my share now. The father did as his son requested and the Bible tells us that very soon after he got his share of the estate, the young man took off for a “far country.” He had obviously been planning his rebellion, since it was immediately after he cashed out his portion of the estate that he left.

My friend, when we rebel against God it starts in our heart. Our actions are simply the manifestations of the rebellion that started in our heart. When we sin, befor! e we ever
commit the act, it starts in our heart, moves to our head, and ultimately is manifested in the action itself. That is why we have to guard our hearts. It is critical that we keep our hearts pure before the Lord. David cried, “create in me a CLEAN HEART.” We keep our hearts clean through our time each day with the Lord in prayer and in God’s Word.

The Bible tells us that once this young man was in the “far country,” he wasted all of his money on “riotous living.” Now we don’t have a detailed account of what this young man did, or what “riotous living” involves, but we probably have a good idea. If it was the year 2006, he would be out every night drinking, doing drugs, frequenting the strip clubs, the casinos, having sex with many different people. He would wake up the next day and do it all over again. For anyone who has lived this type of lifestyle, you know that it is only a matter of time before your money, no matter how much you have, runs out.

That is exactl! y what
happened to this young man. He ran out of money and about that same time the Bible tells us there came a great famine in the land he was in. I am sure you have heard the expression, “when it rains, it pours.” When you are living your life in rebellion to God, NOTHING GOES RIGHT! It is simply one problem after another, and eventually they mount up and just living from day to day becomes a nightmare. You don’t even want to get out of bed, and eventually you don’t even have a bed! As I tell you often, SIN COSTS AND COSTS MORE THAN YOU EVER EXPECTED TO PAY!

This young man was now faced with being in a foreign land, broke, and simply trying to survive day to day. The Bible tells us that he went to work for one of the citizens of the country he was in. His job, FEEDING THE PIGS! Here was a young man who just months earlier was an executive in his father’s business. No doubt he worked hard, but he was in an executive position, overseeing the day-to-day operations, people work! ing for
him, making the important decisions that have to be made each day in any business. All of a sudden, he is no longer an executive but the lowest of the low, literally feeding the pigs!

REBELLION TO GOD COSTS, MY FRIEND! When you choose to live your life in rebellion to God, do it your way, you will pay the price in so many different ways. One day you are a big time businessman, running companies, hundreds of people working for you, spending your time making deals, eating out in nice restaurants, driving nice cars, wearing nice clothes. The next day, all of that is gone and you are simply trying to survive from day to day. You have gone from enjoying your life to just existing. You will always pay a huge price when you choose to live in rebellion to God.

It was at his lowest point that this young man began to hear God speaking to him. Let me make sure you understand something very important. The Bible proclaims that God will never leave you nor forsake you. That is! a
promise from God to you, and it is true. God is there with you every step of the way whether you acknowledge Him or not. What happens is we quit listening to God, we tune Him out. When we are living in rebellion to God, He is the last person we want to hear from since we know deep down inside we are sinning. However, God is always there, always trying to get our attention, waiting patiently for us to listen to His voice and respond.

In 1989, near the end of my 10 years of running from God, I was driving down the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago heading downtown where I lived. It was 3 a.m., I had been out drinking that night, my legal problems were starting to mount, I was looking to escape in every way imaginable, and as I was driving home I flipped through the radio stations and stopped when I heard booming from the radio, “FOR WHAT SHALL IT PROFIT A MAN, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL!” The voice was that of Dr. Joseph Stowell, Chancellor of th! e great
Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, but it was clearly God speaking to me trying to get my attention. Sadly, I was in full rebellion to God and He was the last person I wanted to hear from. It would be many more months before I was ready to listen.

The Bible tells us that this young man began to hear God’s voice that was clearly calling him home. He began to reason that he was sleeping with the very pigs he fed, eating the same food they were eating. The servants in his father’s house at least had a nice place to sleep and plenty of food to eat. He realized that he would be better off going home, asking his father’s forgiveness and becoming one of the servants. That was GOD speaking to this young man telling him to go home.

Many of you reading this today are “sleeping with the pigs,” you are eating the same food the pigs eat. You are tired of living like this, tired of waking up each day with no hope, tired of running from God. My friend, God loves you, He cares ab! out you
so much, and He is waiting for you today. The fact is, God is NOT going to force you to come home. That has to be your decision. No doubt this young man’s father could have tracked him down and brought him home, but he didn’t. It was not because he didn’t love his son, but because it was a choice his son had to make on his own. God is not going to force you to come home, it is a choice YOU have to make yourself.

I love you and care about you so much. The wonderful end to the Parable of the Prodigal Son is that the son did go home. When he arrived, he was not made a servant in his father’s house as he was hoping, but he remained a SON! My friend, just because you have left the Lord, you never stopped being His son or daughter. You may have denied Him, you may have chosen to reject Him, but He never denied you and He never rejected you. YOU NEVER STOPPED BEING HIS SON OR DAUGHTER!

I will be praying for you today, praying that God will speak to your heart about goin! g home.
You don’t need to be miserable any longer. You don’t need to dread waking up each morning. God can take the pain and the hurts in your life and replace them with a peace that passes all human understanding and His joy. God is speaking to you today. God is waiting for you to come home. He is waiting to rejoice, “for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.”

Let me leave you today with the words to the great hymn “Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling.” Read the words, they are from God for YOU today:

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, Calling for you and for me; See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching, Watching for you and for me. Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading, Pleading for you and for me? Why should we linger and heed not His mercies, Mercies for you and for me?

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing, Passing from you and from me; Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming, Coming for you and for me. ! O for the
wonderful love He has promised, Promised for you and for me! Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon, Pardon for you and for me.

Come home, come home, You who are weary, come home; Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, Calling, O sinner, come home!

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

(Matthew 6:25-33)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Lord, thank you for meeting my daily needs as you have promised in your Word. I look to you and your alone for my sustenance through life, and thank you for your faithfulness. Please help me to be a good steward of the funds you entrust into my care during this life, and give me favor in my finances, and wisdom in my decisions. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

For many people today, there is much pressure because it is the end of the month. Many struggling with financial commitments they can’t meet are dealing with much stress today. Today ends another month and in a few days more obligations become due. Giving up seems like the easiest thing to do, but my friend, that is a thought straight from the pits of hell itself. Praying doesn’t seem to work. It doesn’t look like any miracles are on the horizon. What now? What is the next move?

First of all, praying is NOT in vain and is the first step. The Bibl! e tells
us to ask God for wisdom and He will give it to us. Secondly, God has promised in His Word to supply our need so we have to trust that promise and use it as the hope to move forward. Third is the very real practical situation of unmet obligations. Every situation is different and the dynamics are unique to where you are at. But here is my suggestion.

Get a legal pad, as you probably have, and write down what is essential to day to day living. Then write down the other non-essential day to day living obligations. Lastly, write down all of the obligations you are delinquent on. On the other side of the legal pad, write down the income you have to work with and any income you will have during the month. The first goal is to make sure the day to day essential are met.

After that, the other obligations for the month. Lastly, you need a plan for the delinquent obligations.Your first goal is to contact the debtor and explain your situation. Most creditors are only inter! ested in
getting paid and as long as you are working towards that, will usually work with you. You need to structures based on your income..or possibly even additional income if you need to take that route…a plan to work down the past due obligations.

The bottom line is it will take three things: 1. Wisdom from God, 2) Discipline, 3) Hard work. You didn’t get into the problem overnight, and won’t get out overnight. But God will see you through this valley.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray that this has helped some of you focus on a problem we get many prayer requests about. Very few people get into financial problems overnight, and very few people will get out of them overnight. But with the wisdom God can give you, being disciplined, and working hard each day, YOU WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller

***LIVEPRAYER TV IS BACK!!! We re-launched the Liveprayer TV program with a LIVE Thanksgiving Day special broadcast! You can watch the Liveprayer TV program LIVE every Monday thru Friday from 11p-Midnight EST on all major streaming services on your TV, computer, tablet, or phone!!! You can also watch the program ON DEMAND on your schedule!!! For all details go to:

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please help me to live this day honoring you in my thoughts, words, and deeds. Help me this day to live my life pleasing and acceptable to Jesus. Allow me to use my life to help someone else during this day, and be kind to everyone I come across no matter how they may treat me. Let Christ shine through me throughout this day oh Lord, be glorified through my life! In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!!!

The prayers by a “son of dirt” and millions of others from nearly 15 years ago!!! Fifteen year! s ago
this coming May, Liveprayer undertook a 40 day prayer effort for our nation. To launch this effort, God told me to fly to Washington DC, get in sackcloth and ashes, LITERALLY, and pray in front of the White House. It was one of those moments when you seriously question if you are hearing from God or not. However, I didn’t question what God called me to do, and along with a dozen or so friends of Liveprayer who joined me, some flying in from other states, obeyed His command.

Now, nearly 15 years later, this “son of dirt” can look back and can see how the obedience of those 40 days of prayer are being answered. The message of our nation turning back to God and His Truth is one I have shared virtually since the beginning of Liveprayer nearly 20 years ago now. That 40 days prayer effort launched in front of the White House on May 1st in 2004, was followed by the launch in 2007 of the Jonah Project ( ). The Jonah Project is a bold and clear! clarion
call for our nation to repent and turn back to God our Creator and Biblical Truth.

Enjoy, and even be a bit amazed at the words I wrote in May 2004 as I shared that great experience, which today I can clearly see was the prayer foundation for what we will be experiencing in this nation. As I share these words with you today, I see a mighty move of God’s Holy Spirit coming to this land, and a mighty harvest of souls won to faith in Jesus Christ! The prayers, the generous sacrifices by so many of our friends in the Liveprayer family over the years have not been in vain! Unlike many of the great heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11, we may actually get to see and experience the fruit of our prayers, sacrifices, and efforts for the Lord!

SHARE THIS MESSAGE TODAY WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW, AND POST IT ON ALL OF YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA!!! It’s a great lesson for all who love the Lord in obedience, trusting God no matter He is calling you to do, and knowing as the prophet Isaia! h stated,
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” AMEN!!!

(from May 3, 2004)

With the launch of the new daily Liveprayer radio program last week and preparing for the start of the 40 days of prayer, fasting, and repentance for our nation on Saturday, I really had little time to dwell much on, what going to our nation’s capital meant other than God told me to go. I spent most of the evening Friday in between the radio and TV programs reading God’s Word and praying, rather than sleeping which is what I normally do during that time each day. I was in the Book of Ezekiel, reading about God’s faithful prophet to the children of Israel who were in captivity to the Babylonians.

“The Word of the Lord came unto me,” occurs 49 times in the Book of Ezekiel, as God spoke to his servant about what to say to the peopl! e. In
reading and studying some of these messages from God, they start with God calling Ezekiel “son of man.” But in one common translation, it reads, “SON OF DIRT!” Could there be a better reminder of who we really are? It was from the dust of the earth that God created us. My friend, if there is ever a time that we get full of ourselves, full of pride, thinking more of ourselves than we should, may we always be reminded that we are “sons of dirt.”

Throughout the book of Ezekiel, God speaks to the people though His servant reminding the children of Israel why they were in captivity . . . their evil hearts, chasing the false gods of the world, ignoring the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, simply living their lives in rebellion to His Word. Over and over again God was showing me that if He spared not His judgment on His own children for their sins, we have no reason to expect Him to spare His judgment on our nation today. Sin is sin in God’s eyes, but the United States has t! aken sin
and rebellion to God to levels I doubt has ever been seen in human history.

The Liveprayer television program comes on at 1 a.m. EDT, so my Friday night program began one hour into the 40 days. It was a great way to launch this special time, and God had convicted me a week earlier to do the program that night in sackcloth and ashes, symbolic of the repentance for our sins against God. Just an hour before we went on air, right at midnight, I got the word that we had received a little over 3 million names from people throughout the nation and around the world who had committed to be part of this 40 days of prayer and fasting for our nation. I did my very best to do what God had called me to do, it was now up to the people to respond.

The last phase of the launch was Saturday at noon in Washingt! on, D.C.
I did all I could for over a month to encourage President Bush to see the gravity of the spiritual state of our nation, and issue a proclamation to the people to pray, fast, and turn their hearts back to the God of the Bible from May 1st to June 9th. I was blessed to have three different, very well connected sources make that appeal to him. I am also aware of the tremendous efforts many of you made as well. For reasons only he knows, President Bush chose to not respond. But God spoke to me clearly and said He put this on my heart, I needed to go to Washington DC, put on sackcloth and ashes, and pray for our nation in front of the White House.

After the TV program went off the air early Saturday morning, I drove home, rested for a few hours and got on a plane and went to Washington, D.C. I found there was much construction all around the White House especially right on Pennsylvania Ave. where I told people to come if they wanted to join me in prayer. So I ended up acros! s the
street in Lafayette Park directly facing the front of the White House. I was joined by 6 people from Liveprayer, one lady actually flew in from Chicago just to be part of this time of prayer. At noon, I donned the sackcloth and ashes, we formed a circle and prayed for our nation, and then for the next 3 hours prayed for this nation to repent of its sins and turn its heart back to the God of the Bible.

I later learned that about two dozen other people had shown up, one man driving in from Pennsylvania, but due to the construction they were in other locations around the massive White House compound. But God had already orchestrated this better than any man could have. While we were praying, there were other groups from Liveprayer actually praying in various locations around the White House. We had the White House circled in prayer! I want to thank those who came out Saturday, as well as so many of you who I know wanted to be there but were praying during that time from t! heir

As I flew home late Saturday night, totally exhausted, I couldn’t really sleep. I was thinking how much I would love to be able to talk with Ezekiel, Jonah, Isaiah, Elijah. I wanted to know if when they spoke to the people, when nobody seemed to be listening, if they ever wondered if they were wasting their time. As I prayed in front of the White House Saturday, there were lots of tourists in Lafayette Park, a group of demonstrators for immigration rights, and I wondered if praying for this nation would mean anything since most people could care less. They were happy in their sin, happy living lives void of God. If they didn’t care, why should I?

Then the Holy Spirit brought to my mind that powerful passage from Hebrews Chapter 11, “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance.” God reminded me that most of the time, we will NEVER see the results o! f our
labor for the Kingdom. As a matter of fact, God uses us in many ways that we don’t even realize. The key is not for us to see the results or to always know what God is doing, it is TO BE OBEDIENT AND FAITHFUL! That is what God calls us to be, OBEDIENT AND FAITHFUL. God honors our obedience, and God honors our faithfulness.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray for you EVERY DAY. I love and appreciate you more than you will ever know. In praying near the end of my flight home, I was thinking about how many of the men who served God in the Bible did so alone. They would cry out to God out of frustration because they were all alone. God has RICHLY blessed me to have you! I deeply appreciate more than you will ever know your love and prayers for me and this ministry.

I am grateful that those God has called to give, have been faithful to support His work here at Liveprayer which makes all that we do each day for over 2 million people worldwide through the Inte! rnet,
television, and now radio possible. I am honored how you heard God’s voice and helped me to mobilize over 3 million people, 1% of this nation, to participate in these 40 days of prayer, fasting, and repentance for this country. Only eternity will show us the fruits of our labors here in this life.

Let me leave you with this one special word. We walk by faith, NOT by sight. God does not call us to know and understand everything He asks us to do. He only calls us to be obedient and faithful. In the end, there is only one reward the child of God should be looking for. That is to stand before our Creator when this journey is over and hear Him say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!” There can be no greater reward for a “son of dirt.”

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, thank you for JOY. Even in the midst of the challenges of life, I can still have JOY in my heart because of my Lord and Savior. Help me this day to pass that joy on to others who are hurting. May I never forget that regardless of the day to day issues of this! life, because
of you I will always have that JOY! In the name of Jesus..AMEN!!!

We are now in a season where you will hear the word “joy” over and over. I realize that as many of you wake up and read this message today, you have allowed people or the circumstances in your life to steal your joy. DON’T LET ANYONE OR ANYTHING STEAL YOUR JOY!!! If you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have the assurance that when this brief journey here is over you will be forever with the Lord. That fact alone is the reason you should always have joy.

Do you know how many people are waking up this morning who will die and spend eternity in hell because they have rejected Jesus Christ? Many of those people have been deceived into following a false religion, many have simply chosen to live their lives acting like God doesn’t exist, and sadly, many simply don’t care. Let me assure you that no matter how deeply someone believes in a false religion, how great the material possessions! a person may
have, without knowing Jesus Christ by faith there can be no real joy in this life.

People choose to live every day without Christ and deal with the trials and tribulations of life on their own. Deep down they know something is missing. Deep down they know there has to be more to this life. No matter how wonderful your family may be, no matter how much wealth you can amass, no matter how successful you may become, the fact is living your life without Christ leaves you empty and void of true joy.

This is a simple yet very profound message for you today. Don’t let anyone or anyhting steal your joy. No matter how much someone you care about may hurt you, you can still have joy. No matter what someone you work with or go to school with does to you, you can still have joy. If you are fighting a health battle today, you can still have joy. If you are hurting financially, you can still have joy. If your marriage is in trouble, you can still have joy. If you need a job, y! ou can
still have joy. If you are battling an addiction, you can still have joy.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize many of you are dealing with serious issues with people in your life today. I am fully aware that many of you are fighting great battles in your life today. The message that I want you to hear loud and clear is that no person or no circumstance can take away your joy. That joy comes from the promise Jesus gave His disciples and us just a few hours before His death. He said that in this world we would have trials and tribulations, but to be of good cheer, for HE HAS OVERCOME THIS WORLD.

That my friend is where our joy comes from. From that precious promise that no matter who or what may be going on in our life, because we know Jesus Christ by faith, we not only have the assurance of eternity with Him, but the promise of His strength,, His peace, and HIS JOY during this brief jour! ney!
Because you know Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit that supplies you with God’s power. Because your know Jesus, you have the peace that passes all human understanding. Because you know Jesus, you have unspeakable JOY!

I will be praying for you today. As a child of God, a follower of Jesus Christ, that joy is yours always. It is like if someone gives you a car and adds on a top of the line stereo system. If you don’t play that stereo system it is YOUR FAULT. If you don’t have the joy of the Lord in your life today, it is YOUR FAULT.

For those who know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior you should always have joy in your life. Don’t ever let anyone or anything steal your joy!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, I know that it is your desire that ALL come to repentance, that none be lost. Please give me a passion for souls. Help me to look at each person and never forget that they are created in your image, that one day they will die, and they have an eternal soul. Take away any fear, any hesitancy! , to share the

I have found over the years, some of the Devotionals I write that have the most impact, are the simple ones that deal with an aspect of real life. Transportation is one of those very real aspects of life. Please open your heart and receive this prayer and blessing on your transportation!

As we are quickly moving into the world of driverless cars, I ponder how amazed/frightened/curious/unsure people must have been when they were faced with turning their horse and buggy in for a new modern invention…the car!!! At dinner the other evening with a man who owns a major car dealership in the Midwest, I quizzed him on how soon driverless cars would become t! he norm.
As I spoke of the crashes, the few deaths that have occurred in testing, as we are in the infancy of the driverless car, he was chuckling and reminded me that many years ago people were probably asking the same questions when faced with the prospect of everyone eventually owning a motorized vehicle.

Over the years, I have prayed often for people’s transportation needs, but the Holy Spirit quickened me the other day to the fact that I had never once done a specific Daily Devotional just focused on transportation. Transportation is one of those critical and important parts of our life that we often take for granted. However, because it is so vital to most everyone’s life, I want to take the opportunity today to not only talk about transportation, the potential dangers, but pray for and bless YOUR transportation.

It is interesting the things we remember from our childhood. Three distinct memories from my childhood involve transportation. The first was when I was 5-! years old
and riding my tricycle in front of my house and got the brilliant idea to see how fast I could go. I remember pumping my little legs as fast as I could, flying down the sidewalk, that exhilarating feeling of speed. All of a sudden I hit a broken part of the sidewalk and flew over the handle bars of my tricycle, hitting the pavement with my forehead. I can still to this day, some 55 years later, remember smacking my forehead into the concrete and putting my hand on my forehead and seeing the blood on it. It took my mother and several nurses to hold me down as the doctor stitched up my wound, a scar I still have to this day.

The second childhood memory that involved transportation was just a few years later when my father taught me how to ride a bike. Slowly up and down the street in front of my house with my dad holding me up, letting me go on my own for a few feet before I started to wobble, until after a few hours I was actually riding on my own. I remember to this da! y the
feeling of “freedom” as I traveled all over the neighborhood on my bike. I loved my bike and loved to be able to get on it and ride all over the place.

The third memory is probably similar to most people who are reading this today, learning how to drive and getting my first car. I got my learner’s permit at 15, practicing with my mom and dad in our 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. Let me tell you, if you can learn to parallel park in a 1970 Vista Cruiser, you can parallel park ANYTHING. I fondly remember going through driver’s education in school and finally the big day on my 16th birthday of taking my driving test and getting my license. Soon after that, I bought my first car, a green 1965 Ford Mustang that had an 8-track in it. I guess the memory of learning to drive and getting my first car centered around freedom again, but also being in control of something as powerful as a car is.

Of course, as I got older I began to see a car for what it really was, an impor! tant tool
to get from point A to point B. Unless you live in a city that has public transportation, having a car is virtually a necessity of living in the United States and many places in this world in the year 2018. I know from the emails we get daily and the calls that come in each night on the TV program how critical transportation is in the lives of the people we reach each day. That is why today, I wanted to use this opportunity to pray for and bless your transportation.

I have been blessed during most of my life to have newer, dependable cars. But I have also had those times in my life when I didn’t. Trust me, I know what it is like to have to figure out how many quarters I needed to dig out to just get enough gas to go to work. I know what it is like to drive long distances in a car that had no business going 5 blocks, let alone 500 miles. I know what it is like to drive with little or no brakes. I know what it is like to hear horrible sounds coming from the engine and kn! owing
deep down that something is really wrong.

I know what it is like to drive on tires that have virtually no tread. I know what it is like to have a radio that only played one station. I know all too well the frustration of breaking down and being on the side of the road at 3 in the afternoon as well as 3 in the morning. I know what it is like to drive in 10-below zero weather with no heater as well as 95-degree weather with no A/C. I know what it is like to get the “bad news” from the mechanic that it would cost 2-month’s salary to fix my car. Sadly, I know that horrible sound of crumpled metal when two cars collide.

That is probably why I have so much empathy for those reading this today who are dealing with older, undependable cars. Let me give you some wise counsel today, PRAY OVER YOUR CAR. I tell you often that God blesses us in many ways. When you can get another 50,000 miles out of a car that already has 150,000 miles on it, without any major expenses or hea! daches,
that my friend is a HUGE blessing. Even the newer cars today can be a nightmare due to all the new technology involved.

During his life, my father owned a SOHIO station in Union, Ohio, outside of Dayton. He supported our family working 16-hour days fixing cars. Today, my father would need years of technical school and a million of dollars worth of computer equipment to fix cars. So even those who are blessed to be able to afford the newer cars, can still end up having major nightmares when their car isn’t working properly. So praying over your car is something EVERYONE should do.

Let me say here, that the Bible clearly teaches that nothing . . nothing . . nothing . . happens to us apart from God allowing it to happen. Read the first chapters of Job and you will see clearly that it is God who is in total control. I am convinced from my years in ministry and from the Word of God, that there is no disease . . . no accident . . . not even a bullet, that can take the ! life of
one of God’s children until that person’s work here on earth is finished. It is God who will make that determination. Having said that, we are still responsible to be alert and to use the common sense the Lord gave us in our daily lives. That includes driving.

Driving our cars is such an instinctive thing we do, I doubt we ever really focus on the actual dangers we face when we get behind the wheel. First of all, seatbelts are a safety mechanism that have been proven to save lives. I don’t care if you are going across the country, or across the block . . .WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS!!!

I would encourage you to say a prayer PRIOR to even starting your car. We pray about so many things, and don’t pray about so many others! Pray for the Lord to guide you safely to your destination, that you will have no mechanical problems, you will arrive safely without getting into an accident, and for HIS protection every foot of your journey.

Also, remember why you are driving. It! is to
get you from point A to point B. It is not to listen to the radio, it is not to put on make-up, it is not to eat and drink, and it is not to talk on the phone, IT IS NOT TO READ OR SEND TEXT MESSAGES! There is nothing wrong with listening to the radio or the music on your phone or some device. However, set it up before you actually start driving. Do your make-up at home, not in the car. Eat at home or at your destination, not in the car. Take a break from the phone in the car!

Why do I say this? Simple. Any of these activities while driving take away from your ability to fully concentrate on driving your car, and take away from your ability to focus on what is happening around you. Even if you are the best driver in the world, the problem is that there are others on the road who may not be. Never forget, every time you get in your car, you are putting your life in the hands of those other drivers. You are trusting them to drive safely and obey the rules. Visa versa! T! hey are
trusting YOU to drive safely and obey the rules as well!

As a side, it is interesting that most people sadly end up putting more faith in strangers, people they have never met or know who are driving a 2-ton vehicle traveling feet from them at 60, 70, 80 MPH than they do in God!!! Take a moment and think about that!!!

This Devotional is not meant to scare you or to make you afraid to drive your car. Quite the opposite. It is intended to make you aware of one of the potential dangers you face each day, and to realize how important it is for you to be alert and focused every time you are driving. God has a wonderful plan for your life. We have a very real enemy out there that would love to hurt us. That is why we can never take things for granted, and must always remember that God is our protector and shield.

I realize that many people reading this today need a car. Again, PRAY! Pray for God to guide you to a good, reasonably priced, dependable car that will ! serve
your needs. Buying a car is a big decision. I find it is one of the biggest decisions in life very few people ever pray about. Please don’t neglect praying over such a large purchase and something that is so critical to your day-to-day life. God will open and close doors to guide you to the exact car He wants you to have.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize that some may not find today’s Devotional very spiritual. The fact is, God cares about ALL of the areas of our life, and even though we don’t talk about it as much, transportation is a HUGE issue in everyone’s life. >From planes, to trains, to buses, to boats, to motorcycles, to bicycles, to our cars, getting from point A to point B is a very big part of our life each day, and one we often take for granted and neglect to pray about as much as we should.

I want you to know that today I will be praying for you and for your transportation needs each day. I will be praying for traveling mercies and th! at the
Lord will watch over you as you move throughout your day from one destination to the next. I want to zero in specifically today on your car or cars, with the understanding of how important they are in each person’s life to simply function in this modern world. In closing, I want to pray a special blessing on your car today, and encourage you to take time each day to pray about your transportation needs. Ask God’s blessings on your car as well as in getting you from here to there in your daily travels through life.

“Father, I pray for my friend today. I pray specifically for my friend’s car. Lord, bless this car today to function properly, to not have any mechanical difficulties, and to be a vessel of safety. I pray that you will watch over this car in its daily travels and keep it safe. Protect this vehicle and all occupants from any harm. Lord, today I pray a special prayer of BLESSING on my friend’s car. For those today who need a car, guide them to the right source ! to find a
fairly priced, dependable car that will serve their needs. Above all, let this car be used for YOUR service. Use this car to get many people to places where the name of Jesus is lifted up and glorified, to allow my friend to travel in their daily service to you and your Kingdom. We thank you today Father that you care about us, even about our cars. I pray today favor and blessings on my friend’s car, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN!”

the coming weeks and months. ***LIVEPRAYER TV IS BACK!!! We re-launched the Liveprayer TV program with a Thanksgiving Day special broadcast that was LIVE from 7p-8p EST! Our regular broadcast sche! dule
begins this coming Monday, November 26th, airing every Monday thru Friday LIVE from 11p-Midnight EST! As we have since the program began, I will discuss the issues of the day from a Biblical worldview, and take phone calls from the viewers on every program with questions, comments, and prayer requests.

You will be able to watch the Liveprayer TV program LIVE on the website as well as major streaming platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick and others. We will also archive every program so that if you can’t watch it live, you can watch it on your schedule ON DEMAND!

Another great blessing is that the TV program will initially on cost only $2,000 a monthly, as opposed to the tens of thousands of dollars each month it cost the ministry to air on traditional TV. That monthly cost will go up only as the viewership increases, meaning if we have to pay more each month it is because we are attracting a larger audien! ce that
will also bring new friends to help support Liveprayer. So please be praying about your sacrifice each month to insure that this additional monthly cost for a critical part of the Liveprayer ministry is covered.

After doing our LIVE TV program on various non-Christian stations and networks around the nation since 2003, I am humbled and most thankful for the opportunity to reach thousands and thousands of new people each night. I know that as each year passes, more and more people are growing up having never been to church, having never been in a home environment where God’s Word and faith in Jesus was practiced and honored. Pray with me that each night lives will be impacted for Christ, hope is given to those who are at a desperate place in their life, and lost souls will come to faith in Jesus Christ!!! AMEN!!!

I feel like a member of the mafia talking to the Feds about the secrets of the “family business.” For over 231 months I have never held back the truth ! from you
and won’t start today. I get inundated every day with emails from people asking me to explain why they gave a certain amount of money to some ministry they saw on television who preached a message on how to get out of debt. They did what they were told (gave them $$$$) and they are still in debt.

Others were told to plant a seed and all their financial problems would be solved. They planted the seed (sent them $$$) but still have the same financial problems. Still others were told to take a stand of faith for their child who was running from God. They took a stand (sent in $$$) and their child is still on drugs and running from God. People are confused, mad at God, feel like they don’t have enough faith because they do exactly what they are told, send in $$$, yet nothing changes!

I have shared with you in the past messages on Biblical giving, on giving without guilt, and how to give by faith. It is not just those on TV and radio who pervert God’s Word to get peop! le to
give, but many churches also manipulate their people by taking passages and stories in the Bible totally out of context in order to induce people to give.

Today, I want to expose some of the spiritual fraud that is being committed to drive giving, and once again share with you the Biblical reasons and ways to give.

After 25 years in the ministry, the first 4 of those years heavily involved in the Christian television world, I think I have seen about very game, trick, and gimmick there is to get people to give. People who use a certain Psalm to “open up God’s blessings over your finances,” and if they use say Psalm 68 verse 19, then tell you to write a check for $68.19 to their ministry for the next 10-12 months. Those who take some of the great accounts in the Bible where people acted on their faith in God, and then tell you the way to exercise your faith like the person in the Bible is to write them a check.

Many who share perverted teachings from the Old ! Testament
on the various offerings to God, making the false leap that you can make a corresponding offering to God by writing a check to their ministry Some are so good they can take ANY passage of Scripture and create a message that ends with you sitting down and writing them a check.

The most egregious examples are those who preach a prosperity message. I am not talking about the REAL prosperity message of being a child of God. I am talking about prosperity strictly from a dollars and cents standpoint. Without saying it, the implication of these messages are crystal clear. The more you give the more God will bless you financially. It is a Christian Lotto mentality that those who preach this perversion are more than happy to encourage.

Those who preach this type of message will normally use themselves as the examples of God’s blessings. They will tell you how they were just like you, poor, struggling, making it from paycheck to paycheck. Then they will tell you that by tr! usting
God and giving God everything ( what money they had ) God began to bless them. It is very misleading and a misrepresentation of God’s blessings when they tell you that if you will give them everything you have, one day you will be prosperous like they are. It is like the no-money down real estate infomercial guys. They didn’t get rich by selling real estate, but by selling YOU!

The glaring hole in these false and perverted messages that tie your blessings and prosperity to how much money you give, is that you have to give to the person delivering the message! They have set themselves up as God’s trustee for your blessings and prosperity. I guess that means if you believe their message and choose to give your gift to some other work of God you won’t receive the same blessings or be as prosperous.

The other glaring hole is what if you don’t have anything to give? Does that mean you don’t qualify for God’s blessings? Does that mean you will never be prosperous? Does! that
mean you have no faith? I guess God doesn’t love those who follow Jesus in India, or China, or Africa, or in most places on this planet where people have little if any material possessions. I guess that means a man or woman in Texas who loves Jesus and is serving Him each day but is living in a one-bedroom apartment and driving a 20-year-old car have no faith.

Here is the problem with these messages that are designed simply to raise money. They use some truth from God’s Word but pervert that truth by tying it all to how much money you give. The Bible DOES teach us to have faith in all things, including our finances. The Bible DOES teach that God will bless us and prosper us as we are faithful, and that includes being faithful with our finances. The Bible also teaches us to be wise stewards of what God has entrusted to our care.

ALL we have is from God, He has simply given us stewardship over whatever resources we have during our brief journey through this life. G! OD
DOESN’T NEED OUR MONEY! We give to God as an act of worship. We give to God as an act of obedience. We give to give as an act of sacrifice. When you read the Bible, the giving of the tenth or “tithe” in the Old Testament was part of the Old Treatment Law. We are no longer under the Old Testament Law. 100%, not 10% of everything we have belongs to God. So when we give, we are simply giving back to God what is His already out of obedience and as an act of sacrifice and worship!

The Bible teaches us to give according to our ability to give. We are also taught to give cheerfully. Don’t get so legalistic in your giving that you lose the joy of giving!!!

I counsel people all the time to sit down with God and decide how much you can give to His work each week. Agree with God and then be faithful to give that amount. As the Holy Spirit leads you, you may be led to give over and above that amount to those works of God He lays on your heart.

There will be times God c! hallenges
you to give sacrificially, as an act of faith. Again, God will prompt your heart on those occasions and those are the opportunities in life to really take a stand of faith and trust God. YOU DON’T MAKE THE SACRIFICE TO GIVE BY FAITH EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN. YOU MAKE THE SACRIFICE TO GIVE BY FAITH TO SIMPLY BE OBEDIENT AND TO PLEASE GOD!

I love you and care about you so much. Raising the funds to be able to do God’s work is necessary to exist. Nobody understands that reality as much as I do. Sadly, I have seen many ministries start out with the purest of hearts and end up playing every game imaginable to raise money. I have done my best to hold fast to the Biblical approach to raising the funds we need to operate Liveprayer. When God told Moses to build the Tabernacle, when God told David to build the first Temple, they simply shared with people the need and then trusted God to move on people’s hearts to provide what was needed.

That has been the way Livepray! er has
raised our funds since day 1 nearly 20 years ago. Share the need and trust God. Guess what, God has always provided! No false hope, no false promises, no twisting of Scriptures, no manipulation, simply share the need and trust God to provide. Will God bless you for giving to Liveprayer? ABSOLUTELY, just like God will bless you for giving to anyone who is truly doing His work. Never forget however, God blesses us in MANY ways, not just financially.

I will be praying for you today. Our faith is measured in MANY ways. Giving is simply one of those ways. Never allow yourself to be manipulated or made to feel guilty to give. God wants you to give with a cheerful heart as an act of worship. Giving is simply another way we can be obedient and express our love to the Lord for all He has done for us. Never forget, God knows your motives and He sees your heart. It is never the amount you give that impresses God, it is the heart you give it with.

Your blessings and prosperi! ty are
NOT determined by how much money you give to some ministry, but your obedience and faithfulness to God. Your RICHEST blessings and prosperity have nothing to do with money, they are the peace, joy, and abundance of this life and the treasures you are storing up in Heaven!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Give me boldness to proclaim YOUR TRUTH when I am with those who mock and demean our faith in Christ and for following the teachings of the Bible. Pray with me that each night lives will be impacted for Christ, hope is given to those who are at a desperate place in their life, and lost souls will come to faith in Jesus Christ!!! AMEN!!!

One of my number one goals every day is to bridge the gap between our unseen faith and the very real world we find ourselves living in each day. If there is one area the church as a whole has failed in, and why so many find little relevance in many churches, is because of the failure to take the very real day-to-day life experiences we have and put them in the context of our faith in the Lord.

As you know, if you have read many of my Devotionals, I will not back off even t! he most
controversial issues, since it is usually THOSE issues many struggle with and need spiritual guidance in. One of those issues is Internet romances.

I discussed in the past the trap of Internet chat rooms, chat applications, Facebook, and other social media sites, and how easily married people fall into sin in this area. Today, however, I want to address those who are single, and the wisdom of Internet romances. First, there is NO SCRIPTURE that says “thou shalt not have an Internet romance”. The spiritual application here is from a wisdom standpoint. After all, it is God who gives us wisdom, and like all gifts He gives, we are to use it.

I realize that there may be some of you reading this Devotional right now that met your spouse over the Internet, you developed a spiritual foundation in your relationship, dated over a period of time, had confirmation in both of your lives from God that this was part of His plan for your life, and have a very healthy and happy

There are always exceptions but I can tell you from dealing with this issue over the last 19+ years, having seen thousands of emails from men and women, Internet romances are dangerous and usually NOT a good idea no matter how “wonderful” even the Christian dating services want you to believe it is!

You have two basic problems with Internet romances. First is the long distance factor. Second is the fantasy problem. The problem with long distance romances is the fact that without being in the physical presence of a person, it is very difficult to develop any chemistry, develop a bond, and really get to know each other well enough to make a wise decision on whether this is really a lifetime relationship.

Again, I know there are many examples where two people have made it work, but trust me, those are exceptions and not the rule. Two people who potentially may spend the rest of their life together need a period of time to see if they can build a spir! itual
foundation to their relationship, to see if they can communicate, to have the time to be able to properly hear from God about His will for them. There is NO substitution for spending time together.

With the Internet, you have a blend of fantasy and reality. When your main form of communication is email, Instant Messages, text, and chat rooms, you are in a blended world. You build a mental image of who this person is with little basis in reality. Of course, via email, they are PERFECT. They literally become, to some extent, a creation of your imagination. This is NOT healthy and extremely dangerous.

Some of the frequent problems I encounter daily in regard to this issue are these. Many of the “single” men and women you are dealing with are NOT single, but married. Of course, you don’t find out about this until you are very well into your “cyber relationship.” Another major problem is no matter how spiritual your conversations may be, at some point, sex enters into! the mix.
This often leads to involvement in cyber- sex and usually advances into phone sex.

The biggest problem, however, is at some point the “relationship” advances to a point where you actually meet each other in person. Usually you have had many months of contact with this person, you have created in your mind who this person is, and there is an incredible thrill and anticipation in actually meeting ‘real time’.

Many men AND women are predators are masters at using the Internet to find their prey. Because you DON’T really know them, since you have never spent any time together, since you have fantasized who this person is in your mind without really knowing for sure, you have left yourself wide open to incredible problems.

I love you so very much, and I really do care about you. After these 19+ years you are like part of my family. The things I have shared with you today come from dealing with real people, many who have had their lives turned upside down from In! ternet
romances. I realize many of you are lonely, and thus you become easy prey for those men and women trolling the Internet for someone to take advantage of. But you are not using wisdom, and you are playing a very dangerous game.

The end results of most of these situations range from people being used sexually then dumped, people being taken advantage of financially, marriages that end in divorce, and in one case years ago…death! Internet romances are NOT a good idea. They are NOT wise!

You are much better served doing it the old-fashioned way. Meeting someone in a real face-to-face meeting. Dating. Building a spiritual foundation together over time. Ultimately, putting yourselves in a situation where God can confirm to both of you that this is part of His plan for your life. God is the one who gives us wisdom. In regard to Internet romances, use wisdom and pray long and hard before you ever get involved in one!

In His love and service,

Your f! riend,
brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller
