(Matthew 6:25-33)

***JULY FINANCIAL UPDATE: After finally covering our May shortfall, we are currently working to cover June’s shortfall which of course was the entire monthly budget of $55,000. So far in the past 2 weeks since we covered May, the first $35,000 of our June shortfall has come in! My prayer is that we can clear up the final $20,000 of June’s shortfall in the first days of this week so we have at least the final few days of this month to take care of as much of the $55,000 we require for July’s ministry operations as possible. GOD IS ABLE!!!

THAT IS $75,000 BY THE END OF JULY SO WE CAN BEGIN OUR 22ND YEAR ANNIVERSARY MONTH OF AUGUST WITH ALL OF OUR MINISTRY OPERATIONS CURRENT! OVER THESE PAST 22 YEARS WE HAVE FACED SEVERAL CHALLENGES FINANCIALLY, BUT GOD HAS ALWAYS MOVED ON THE HEARTS OF OUR FRIENDS IN THE LIVEPRAYER FAMILY TO KEEP HIS WORK MOVING FORWARD! ***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: Civil War hero and the 18th President of the United States Ulysses S. Grant stated, “Nations like individuals are punished for their transgressions!” We know that is true based on the Old Testament and His chosen people, the children of Israel. We! read about
their cycle of sin throughout the OT where they love and worship God, but over a period of time fall into sin and rebellion to God’s instructions. Our God is a patient, merciful Father. We see Him warning the children of Israel over and over to turn from their sins and back to Him. However, at some point when they refuse to repent and choose to bask in their sin God unleashes His wrath and judgement upon them. Often generations go by before a remnant who remained faithful, crying out to God for forgiveness, are heard and He restores them to fellowship. Initially His people are thankful to once again know God’s blessings. They worship Him and do their best to follow His precepts each day. Sadly, as time goes by more and more begin to fall back into gross sin until once again the majority of the Jewish people are living in rebellion to God and once again He sends His judgement upon them. It has only been apx. 400 years since the initial settlers came to this “new world to find freedom
to practice their faith free from political persecution. The nation itself is just 245 years old or apx. a dozen generations. We are very young as a nation and even though we have endured many trials over those 245 years, we have always been able to count on God to see us through. From our independence from King George, to a horrible civil war to end the practice of slavery, to 2 subsequent world wars along with other armed conflicts like Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, God was there each moment to guide our nation through those who followed Him. The U.S. has gone through great social upheaval in the past 50 years. However, like the children of Israel, with each passing year we have gotten further and further from God our Creator and are drowning in our sin. As God did with his own chosen people, He has unleashed His judgement on this wicked nation early last year. However, God still has a remnant, still has a faithful people who refuse to bow their knee to baal, and ! it will
be that remnant who will lead our lost nation back to the Almighty and His Truth!!! My friend, take your stand today and be part of that remnant. We are the only true hope for this nation!!!

For many people today, there is much pressure because the month is only a few days away. Many struggling with financial commitments they can’t meet are dealing with much stress today. As this month comes to a close a new month begins and more obligations become due. Giving up seems like the easiest thing to do, but my friend, that is a thought straight from the pits of hell itself. Praying doesn’t seem to work. It doesn’t look like any miracles are on the horizon. What now? What is the next move?

First ! of all, praying is
NOT in vain and is the first step. The Bible tells us to ask God for wisdom and He will give it to us. Secondly, God has promised in His Word to supply our need so we have to trust that promise and use it as the hope to move forward. Third is the very real practical situation of unmet obligations. Every situation is different and the dynamics are unique to where you are at. But here is my counsel for you today.

Get a legal pad and write down what is essential to day to day living. Then write down the other non-essential day to day living obligations. Lastly, write down all of the obligations you are delinquent on. On the other side of the legal pad, write down the income you have to work with and any income you will have during the month. The first goal is to make sure the day to day essential are met.

After that, the other obligations for the month. Lastly, you need a plan for the delinquent obligations. Your first goal is to contact the debtor and explain your
situation. Most creditors are only interested in getting paid and as long as you are working towards that, will usually work with you. You need to structure a plan based on your income, or possibly even additional income if you need to take that route, to work down the past due obligations.

The bottom line is it will take three things: 1.) Wisdom from God, 2) Discipline, 3) Hard work. You didn’t get into the problem overnight, and won’t get out overnight. But God will see you through this valley and one day soon you will be on the mountaintop!

I love you and care about you so much. I pray that this has helped some of you focus on a problem we get many prayer requests about. Again, remember that very few people get into financial problems overnight, and very few people will get out of them overnight. But with the wisdom God can give you, being disciplined, and working hard each day…YOU WILL BE VICTORIOUS FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!!!
