The “lie of satan” that ALL people of ANY faith will get to Heaven!!!

(John 3:16; Matthew 7:13-14; John 14:6)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, give me a passion, a hunger for your Word. Let me wake up each day, excited what you will show me that day from that precious Word of God. Help me Lord each day to not just be a reader of the Word, but a DOER of the Word. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!!!

I FELT LED BY GOD TO SHARE THIS WORD TODAY DUE TO THE INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF MAIL THAT I RECEIVED FROM A RECENT DEVOTIONAL THAT FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY ROAD TO HEAVEN!!!

That is a choice EACH PERSON must make in this life!!!

I have been most saddened by those who profess to be Christians and who have bought into the “lie of satan” that ALL people of ANY faith will get to Heaven. They argue the Christian faith in exclusive. First, the ROAD TO HEAVEN THROUGH CHRIST is not a man-made idea, but came from God Himself. It is 100% INCLUSIVE since the Bible says “whosoever believes.”

THAT MEANS IT ! IS OPEN TO ANYONE
WHO CHOOSES TO PUT THEIR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!!!

This is by far the most important issue that I will EVER deal with, since it is about the eternal souls of people. Please, take time to read this and pass it on to everyone that you know. Even if they reject this TRUTH, they can never claim they were not told!

Faith in Jesus Christ is the ONLY road to Heaven. While we must as Christians love and care for those of other faiths, while we should be kind to them, we must NEVER compromise the Christian faith just to be politically correct. The fact is God’s plan clearly says that there is only ONE road to salvation, there is only ONE road to Heaven, and that is through faith in His Son Jesus Christ!!!

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO ETERNITY WITH GOD!!!

God’s Word clearly tells us that those who reject Christ as their personal Savior in this life will be eternally separated from God their Creator. That means those who have CHOSEN to follow the teaching of Isla! m, of
Judaism, or Buddha, or anything other than the inspired, inerrant Word of God will be eternally separated from God when this life is over. As wonderful as other religions may be, they are just that, religions. Christianity is much more than a religion; it is a relationship. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

Many can’t quite grasp how a loving God, a God of grace and mercy, would let “good people” die and be eternally separated from Him. It is because of sin. You see my friend, sin is something we are all born with and why the Bible says there is “none that are good, no not one.” It has been part of the human condition since man sinned in the Garden of Eden. There is only one answer to sin, and that is the answer God put forth when He sent His only Son Jesus to this earth to die for the sins of all men.

It was God’s plan that Jesus, who was born of a virgin, thus without sin, who lived a sinless life, would die on Calvary’s cross and pay wit! h his blood for the
sins of all mankind. THAT my friend, is why it is ONLY our faith in Jesus Christ that can wipe away our sins. It is ONLY faith in Christ that can allow sinful man to have his sins wiped clean so that upon death, he can spend eternity with a holy God. This was God’s plan that He gave us because He loved us so much.

There is a unity, however, that we as Christians should be embracing and working towards. That is unity within the body of Christ. A prayer our Lord prayed just hours before going to the cross is still yet unanswered. In John 17:21, Christ prayed for the body of Christ to be one. One of the goals of my ministry when I started over 25 years ago, was to do what I could to bring unity to the body of Christ.

In some of my postgraduate theological studies, I did extensive research on over 150 mainline Christian denominations and what they believed, and what separated them. The fact is, they all hold the basic tenants of the Christian faith. It was usually! on a wide
array of theological issues that made no difference to the main body of our faith that there is disagreement and division.

I had the wonderful joy the first 3 years of my ministry to preach in over 500 churches of most every denomination and ethnic make-up. The fact is, the common bond amongst every church was people who were hurting, going through the trials and pains of life, and looking to God for help and answers. Now more than ever, this is a time for Christian churches to come together as one.

Never forget, it is NOT your church that saves you, but a personal relationship with Christ. So whether you are Baptist, Catholic, United Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Assembly of God, Independent, or whatever denomination your church belongs to, the most important thing is not the name of the building you worship in, but your personal relationship with Christ.

I love you and care about you so much. Please don’t misunderstand me. I have many dear friends! who are
Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, and many other faiths. I care about them very much. I pray for them daily to allow God to open their hearts to the truth of His Word. These are good people. They do many good works here on earth. But the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8,9 that it is NOT of works that we are saved, but through faith in Christ. Period.

I have agreed over the years to appear in several inter-faith events. However, I used my time to not only pray for the concerns being addressed, but share how God so loved this world, that He gave his only Son, that whosoever believed in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life. We must NEVER compromise the truth of God’s Word just to make people feel better.

Actually, it is better to offend someone than fail to share with them the keys to eternal life. The Bible says that the Gospel is offensive to those who don’t believe. Our job is not to make people feel good, but to share with them the truth of His Word. Wha! t they choose
to do with that information is between them and God. We have done what God expects us to do.

I pray today for those people of other faiths, that they will open their hearts to God’s love, and come to know His Son by faith. I pray for Christians, both here in this country and worldwide. I pray that we will not only be bold in sharing our faith with those of other faiths, but that we will become one, just like Christ prayed in the Garden over 2000 years ago.

Now more than ever, the body of Christ needs to stand together in unity; no longer identified by the local church we attend, but by the faith in Christ we share. A faith that is the only hope for this world. A faith that is the only hope for each person. A faith that is the only road to everlasting life with God our Creator!

(Deuteronomy 7:8; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:4,5)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, YOU are my provider. You know my daily needs. You promised to care what I need each day for life….food, shelter, clothing. I put my trust in you. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and I come to you today to thank you for providing for my needs in the past, and knowing my needs today. Today, I come to you, asking you to meet those needs as you promised in Your Word! In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

This is a very short and simple word for YOU today, but powerful in its truth! Many days we get so consumed with our lives, that we lose sight of just how special we are. Life is filled with many problems and because of those problems, we sometimes get down and blame ourselves.

My dear friend, God is GREAT and worthy to be praised!!! Dozens of times over the 19+ years of Liveprayer we have faced difficult financial challenges. Last year it looked like Live! prayer
was over due to our inability to pay basic operating costs. Each time, God has raised up one or two of our friends HE had blessed to help us with a special gift to continue His work at a critical moment when it looked like we would have to close down.

Every minute Liveprayer is in operation, satan shivers as lives somewhere in the world are being impacted, God’s unadulterated Truth is being heard, and souls are being saved!!!

At those moments when even my faith waivers a bit, God sends someone to encourage me, a special gift to help at a critical time, and I am rejuvenated, supernaturally charged with Holy Ghost power to stay on the front lines and battle satan for the souls of men. It is on the front lines you will find my empty body when either the trump sounds and Christ returns, or the Lord says my work is complete and HE calls me home to my eternal rest!

This year, 2018, our 19th year online, has been a POWERFUL year of ministry for Liveprayer. Tha! nks to the
sacrifice of some dear friends at the end of the year to get Liveprayer current, I have been able to focus most of my time on ministering to the needs of the people we reach worldwide each day.

So far we have received, prayed for, and sent a personal responses to just under 11 million emails for prayer during 2018. We have received apx. 1 million praise reports archived from the first 9 months of 2018! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

MOST IMPORTANT HOWEVER, WE HAVE SEEN RIGHT AT 40,000 SOULS WE KNOW OF COME TO FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST SO FAR THIS YEAR!!! AMEN!!!

This has all be possible because friends like you have sacrificed your prayers and many, some of your treasure!!!

With just 9 days left in October, we are getting a late start on the $50,000 we require of our October ministry operations since we just cleared up our September shortfall last week. So far, we have received the first $5,000, leaving $45,000 to end the month with all of our obligations
current.

***Every year there are one or two times when the need is very critical. $19,000 of that $45,000 left is very critical and needed TUESDAY MORNING! I am praying for ONE of our friends who God has enabled and blessed to help me with a special one-time year-end gift of $19,000. I am including our wire information, since that would be the quickest and most efficient way to get funds into our account TUESDAY MORNING: Wells Fargo Wire routing 121000248 For credit to: Liveprayer Church, Inc. Account 2000034465541

***If God is speaking to you about this critical $19,000 I am in need of TUESDAY MORNING, please try to wire those funds as early as possible. Of course you can mail your gift or put it on your credit card, that information is at: http://www.liveprayer.com/donate.cfm

Obvio! usly,
whatever you can sacrifice is special to God. No gift regardless the amount is less than or greater than another. I am asking everyone else to pray about what the Lord is calling you to give, whether it is $10, $20, $50, $100, or more in order to cover the final $26,000 of October’s operations budget by the end of the month.

*SPECIAL YEAR-END GIFT!!! With the end of the year just 71 days away (Can you believe it?), PLEASE be praying about a special year-end gift to Liveprayer that will also help with your 2018 taxes. Over these final 71 days of 2018 we require the final $45,000 of our October ministries budget and the $100,000 we require for November and December. That is $145,000 to end the year with all of our operations current!

We will have incredible visibility to bring His Truth to hundreds of thousands of new people each month, people we will be able to pray for in their time of need, while leading lost souls to faith in Jesus Christ!!! It will also give us a brand new donati! on stream
to help cover our monthly ministry operational costs.

My friend, not a day goes by that we don’t fail in some way, and so many people tend to live in self-condemnation. Let me encourage you today that God created you in His own image and made each person uniquely different. No matter what you are going through, what you may have done, God still loves you and in His eyes, YOU ARE SPECIAL!!!

If you haven’t heard these words in a while, maybe in a long time, hear them now….YOU ARE SPECIAL!!!

Forgiving others can be very difficult, especially when they have hurt us in some way. However, just as difficult, even more so, is forgiving ourselves! The Bible tell us that we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.

There are no perfect people. But our God is ready to forgive us and cleanse us from all our sin, if we will simply confess our sins to Him and repent. My friend, you cannot change what has already been done, but you have total control ove! r what you
will do from this point forward.

I pray that this day, you will find freedom in the fact that you are special and God loves you. What may have happened in your life before is behind you. You need to stand on God’s promise that if you are willing to confess those past sins and ask His forgiveness, He will forgive you and give you a fresh slate. If our God is willing to forgive you, then isn’t it time you forgive yourself?

Let today be the first day in your knowledge that you are special. God has a plan and purpose for your life. Go forward to accomplish His plan for your life, knowing that you are His child and He loves you unconditionally.

I love you and care about you so much. No matter what anyone may tell you, YOU ARE SPECIAL. Special to me, but more important, special to God. HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH!

I don’t care what you are facing today or what the issues may be, take a few moments out of your day and just reflect on the FACT that in God’s eyes . .! .YOU ARE
SPECIAL!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

The case for abstinence!!!

(1 Corinthians 6:18, Hebrews 13:4)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, thank you for another day of life! Let us never to forget that EVERY DAY is a special day since it is a gift from you! Please let me never take one day, one hour, or one minute of this precious life for granted and may I always honor you with my life! In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!!!

Abstinence, teen mothers and fathers. I remember several years ago when Liveprayer had a great Gospel Tent at the Florida State Fair, one of the things God showed me through my spiritual eyes was the incredible number of young girls, 18 and under, pushing a stroller. It seemed like there was an endless stream of young white, black, Hispanic, and Asian girls passing by the Liveprayer Gospel Tent with their babies. It became so heavy on my heart, that it drove home the Biblical teaching of abstinence.

I remember several years ago watching an interview with Bristol Palin, who at that! time was
18-years-old, regarding the birth of her baby boy. Bristol is the daughter of former Alaska Governor and former VP candidate Sarah Palin. The critical comment in that interview about being a single teen mom came when she spoke of abstinence. Bristol stated, “Abstinence is the best option but not realistic at all.

Now you have to remember, this is a young girl who was raised in the church. She comes from a Christian home. This is important to point out since even kids who have Christian parents and brought up in the church, have been so brainwashed by our culture from birth that they look at abstinence as totally unrealistic if they even consider it at all. If this is the mindset of kids who have been raised in the church and from Christian homes, how can we be shocked when the vast majority of teens and young adults who don’t have Christian parents and have never even been to church view abstinence as a joke?

Once again, much of the blame has to go to the churc! h for
allowing the culture to dictate our beliefs, instead of the church dictating our beliefs to the culture. 50 years ago, it was understood that sex was to be experienced in the bonds of marriage. Did that mean teens and young adults didn’t have sex outside of marriage? Of course not. However, it was UNDERSTOOD BY SOCIETY that it was not God’s plan and it was a sin. 50 years later, anyone who advocates abstinence is viewed as out of touch and believing in the impossible, and the church to “be accepted,” has done a miserable job of fighting the lies of satan regarding sex and abstinence.

One of the key points I have raised with you for nearly 20 years now is that God’s way works, our way doesn’t. THE BIBLE WORKS IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE! The Bible teaches abstinence from all sexual relations until marriage. If people followed God’s plan, there would be no out of wedlock births, there would be no STDs, abortions would virtually cease to exist, the lives of so many teens and you! ng adults
would not be dramatically altered by having a child when they themselves are still children, not to mention the harm growing up in such an environment does to the baby. An incredible amount of pain and heartache and damaged lives would be avoided.

Here is the bottom line to the abstinence issue. Simply preaching a message of abstinence is not good enough. From the time a child has the ability to understand the difference between a boy and a girl, they need to be taught what God’s plan is for sex and why it is the best choice. Is elementary school too early to be teaching children about abstinence? Probably. But the problem is the world is already bombarding them with the lies of satan on this issue, so those lies must be exposed and challenged. Children must be taught not only that abstinence is the best choice, but why.

Even by taking a proactive stance on this issue, it is a battle. Children, teens, and young adults are slammed virtually 24/7 with the message t! hat sex
is good any time, any place, in any way, and with any person from birth. Due to the fact the better percentage of two full generations don’t go to church, the vast majority of kids are never even going to hear the abstinence message. Their only point of reference on sex are the lies they are fed by the world. So between the media, friends, and the culture in general, children, teens, and young adults who are hearing the abstinence message at home and at church, are being told it is an outdated and unrealistic concept.

The fact is, Bristol Palin was correct in stating that abstinence IS unrealistic unless a person has a real, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Without the strength of Christ, we are susceptible to falling into all types of sin. Does this mean that teens and young adults who are saved will never have sex outside of marriage? Of course not. However, without a real daily walk with Christ, falling into sexual sins and every other type of sin is inevita! ble. It
is only when we are living a committed life for Christ, yielded daily to the power of the Holy Spirit, that we can live victoriously and abstaining from sex outside of marriage is possible.

I love you and care about you so much. We are living in a nation that has totally bought the lies of satan regarding sex. God’s plan for sex only in the bonds of marriage is no longer accepted by society, and the byproduct is an ever growing number of teen moms and dads, babies growing up in all kinds of unhealthy environments, and a cycle of sin and destroyed lives that continues with each generation. It is too late to turn society back to God’s standards, so the efforts have to be made at home and in the churches to impact the lives of as many children, teens, and young adults as possible with God’s plan for sex.

For those teens and young adults who are currently pregnant and preparing to have a child. I will be praying for you as you turn to the Lord and find His strength a! nd
guidance to help you be the best mom and dad you can to your baby. For those teens and young adults who already have a child, now is the time to realize the Lord is calling you to be a Godly mom and dad to your child and that your greatest job is to raise that child in the admonition of the Lord and in His love.

For those teens and young adults who have not sinned in this area, pray daily for the Lord to give you strength to stand firm in His Truth and know that His way is the best way. The world has lied to you about sex in order to destroy your life! Live your life according to His word and wait for marriage to have sex and it will be the wonderful gift God designed it to be, and any children will be a blessing of your marriage.

I am also praying today for those courageous servants of the Lord who have taken this fight to the culture. Fighting to teach abstinence in our schools. Fighting to teach abstinence in our churches. Fighting to teach abstinence in our h! omes. Let
me remind you that while we must take this message to the culture, we must also make sure that these teens and young adults understand that not only is abstinence their best choice, but it is a choice that has to be made in conjunction with a real, vibrant, daily, personal walk with Christ. A personal faith in Jesus is the key to making abstinence work!

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

People haven’t changed since Adam and Eve!!!

(Judges 3:9, 4:1, 21:25, Book of Judges)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Father, I know this is an evil and sin-filled world I live in. Please, protect me, but don’t let me be afraid. Let me be bold in declaring Your Truth to this lost world and not be afriad to speak up. Now more than ever I need your strength to be the servant you have called me to be. Help me, strengthen me, and guide me to do thy will. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!!!

People have not really changed since God created Adam and Eve. While billions and billions of people have lived and died since the first man and woman, people have not changed. A great study in human behavior is found in the Book of Judges. I want to encourage you today to take some time in the next few days and sit down and read the entire Book of Judges. It will take you less than an hour, and be worth every minute. Sadly, the spiritual lives of most Christians are exactly like the spiritual lives of the childre! n of
Israel in the Book of Judges. Here is how the pattern goes.

While everything is going great in your life, God slowly stops being your top priority. Actually, He often gets put far down the list of priorities. You quit praying every day, having that meaningful time alone, just you and the Lord. You quit reading your Bible every day. Going to church is not a MUST any longer. Allowing God to use you to bless others with your life isn’t a burning desire. If it happens, that is fine, but it is not that important.

As God plays less of a role in your daily life, you slowly start making choices that you would not make when you are in that close, daily relationship with Him. At the time, they seem like harmless choices. But as the days go by, you are making more and more choices that are NOT pleasing to God. Deep down you know this, but you justify it by telling yourself that you deserve to have some fun, to do what YOU want to do. Slowly over time, it is no longer what G! od wants
from your life, but only what YOU want.

One morning you wake up and your life is a mess. You see my friend, SIN ALWAYS HAS CONSEQUENCES. THERE IS ALWAYS A PRICE FOR SIN–A BIG PRICE. The Bible tells us, “Satan comes to “kill, steal, and destroy”. When you forget God, when you quit making Him the head of your life, when you put God on the shelf because you think that you don’t need Him, you have opened the door for satan to come in and destroy you!

Trust me, at first it won’t be anything that bad. Satan is the great deceiver. He will deceive you into thinking that you don’t need God. He will deceive you into thinking that it is YOUR LIFE, and you should do whatever YOU want to do. The longer that we live without God, the more choices that we make without praying, the deeper in sin we get. Sin is like quicksand, we sink slowly, and when God tries to get our attention, we ignore Him and sink deeper.

It is only when we are facing insurmountable odds, only when ! we have
hit bottom, only when life is crashing down all around us that we finally decide to cry out to God. Look at the Prodigal Son. He had to lose everything, and be living in the worst conditions imaginable until he went home to his father. In our desperation we go to God, we repent, we ask His forgiveness, and we rededicate our lives to Him. Does that mean all of our problems magically go away overnight? NO! We didn’t create our problems overnight, and they rarely go away overnight.

But we do now have God back in our lives and He is fighting for us, giving us the strength to get through each day, giving us the hope we need to move forward. Having God back in our lives doesn’t eliminate us from having to deal with the consequences of our ungodly choices, but over time, He will help us to be victorious. Our life will be great again!!! We will look forward to waking up each morning. We will, once again, know the peace, the joy, the abundance that this life can offer. Many, ho! wever,
like the children of Israel in the Book of Judges, will sadly start to forget God again, and the cycle will be repeated all over.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray today that this message opens the hearts of many as this trap satan uses so effectively is exposed. Here is the truth that I never want you to forget. WE NEED GOD ON THE MOUNTAINTOP JUST AS MUCH AS WE NEED GOD IN THE VALLEY!!! Let me repeat that. WE NEED GOD ON THE MOUNTAINTOP JUST AS MUCH AS WE NEED GOD IN THE VALLEY!!!

We all know to call on the Lord in our time of trouble. My word for you today is to call on Him ALWAYS!!! In this life, we will always have trials. No matter how close we are to the Lord, we all have to fight the day to day issues of living in this sin-filled world. Nobody can escape that. However, when we stay close to God each day, we can minimize the problems in our life that WE CAUSE through our rebellion!

Do you only call on God in your time of need? My admonitio! n for you
today is to call on Him EVERY DAY. Keep Him first at ALL TIMES. God has revealed to YOU today a common trap men and women from the beginning have fallen into. Receive this word from the Lord today and walk with God every day of your journey here on earth. Call on Him in your time of need AND in your time of plenty!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller

There are NO coincidences with God!!!

(Proverbs 16:4, 19:21)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, thank you for the strength you give me each day to be victorious over my enemies. I know satan is out to kill, steal, and destroy, but he is a defeated foe. Through you, I HAVE THE VICTORY! No matter what things may look like in the natural, let me never forget that there is victory in Jesus. Because you have won the victory, I have won the victory. Thank you Jesus! It is in your name I pray…AMEN!

If there is one thing the Bible clearly teaches, it is that there are NO coincidences with God. There are so many outside elements that you have no control over in your life, starting with your birth, ending with your death, and including everything that transpires in between those two events. The reason I want to bring up this issue today is to give you the confidence and assurance, that everything that is happening in your life today is part of His Divine plan for your life.

One of the ! reasons I
stress so much to walk with the Lord daily, be in the Word of God, pray, seek Him each and every day, is so that you will follow His plan for your life. You see, we can bring much unnecessary pain and heartache into our life by exercising our God-given free will to ignore God and rebel. However, that does not stop God from still being in control. When we are in rebellion, when we are not on the path God wants us to be on, that is when we miss the joy, the peace, and the abundance this life can offer. That is when we are missing the blessings of God in our life.

I want you to understand clearly today that it is no accident you live where you live, you work or go to school where you do, you recreate where you recreate, or shop where you shop. It is no accident that the people in your life are there. You see my friend, there are NO coincidences with God, things just don’t “happen”. There is a Divine purpose and reason for each and everything that goes on in our life. That! includes
the good AND bad things.

The natural question becomes, why? In many cases there simply isn’t an answer. Again, holding onto the fact there are no coincidences with God helps us to build our faith during those times when there are more questions than answers. It also should give us the confidence and boldness to go out each day knowing that God has a reason for everything we are experiencing in our life. Understanding that what we are going through each day is not an accident, but part of His plan, gives us the incredible freedom to live each day for Him.

I realize that many of you are going through difficult times in your life today. You are dealing with death, illness, financial difficulties, marital problems, issues with your parents or children, challenges at work or school; the walls seem to caving in all around you. How this could be part of God’s plan may seem beyond comprehension.

This was the same place a man named Job found himself at one day. In! spite of
everything, he never lost his faith in God, and it was part of God’s plan to bless him abundantly. We never know how God will deliver us from trouble, how He will bless us. Our job is to hold on to our faith, continue to praise Him in spite of the problems we face, and know He will never leave us or forsake us.

The Bible tells us that there will be times our faith is tested. It is at those times our faith becomes real to us and grows. We grow more spiritually in the valley than we ever could on the mountaintop. It is in the valley that we recognize God as our only source of hope and learn how to trust Him. It is those times in the valley, where it is just us and God, that we realize how much He loves us.

I love you and care about you so much. Know today that God is with you, that nothing in your life is an accident, that God is in control. I will be praying for you. With God, ALL things are possible. You will never know how deeply I appreciate your love, prayers,! and
generous support of this ministry that is reaching so many worldwide each day with the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

It is perfect to close today with the theme of “no coincidences with God”. It is no coincidence that the Lord has brought our lives together at this time in history. I am always here for you in your hour of need, and I appreciate more than you know how you have stood by me with your prayers and sacrificial support of Liveprayer.

This work has been an effort of God’s people, taking God’s hope and love to those worldwide who are hurting and looking for answers. I know without any doubt that Liveprayer is part of God’s plan. It is no accident that God is using this incredible last days technology of the Internet to share His message with the world. Never think for a second that anything that is happening in your life is an accident.

God is still on His throne and still in 100% control at all times!!!

In His love and service,
!
Your
friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. But this kind does not go out except by PRAYER and FASTING.” (Matthew 17:20-21 NIV)

The Bible tells us in Ephesians chapter 6 that our battles are NOT of flesh and blood, but they are spiritual! Fasting has been one of the most misunderstood and misused practices in the Bible. The basic premise of fasting is giving up a normal daily activity, as a sacrifice, to spend that time in prayer and seeking the Lord. It is NOT supposed to be a physical endurance contest to see how long you can go without eating. It is an act of sacrifice.

It can be as little as skipping one meal, or not eating ! for 24
hours, or even three days. Fasting does not always have to be food. You can “fast” by not watching television for a period of time, or giving up any number of others things that you may do during the day. There is no magic formula.

Let me warn you that fasting can be very dangerous to your health! Anytime you fast over 24 hours, you need to be very careful. I would strongly suggest that you contact your doctor to make sure you do it correctly.

The reason you fast is to sacrifice the nourishment to your body, and spend that time nourishing your soul. It is a way to focus solely on the Lord and to seek Him. Often fasting is done at times when there are major needs, and you need to really zero in spiritually on the Lord, seeking Him for answers.

I routinely fast one day a month, but during major events or times of great need, I will fast for 72 hours and try to spend much of that time just in prayer. I keep living my normal life, but use the time I would norma! lly be
eating to spend time with God.

Fasting does not make you more spiritual than someone who does not fast. It is not a way to prove how spiritual you are. Again, it is a simple act of sacrifice to spend that time in prayer with the Lord. It allows you to hear God more clearly. It is a time to really get serious about praying over a certain situation or circumstance. It is a sacrifice on your part to get closer to God.

I would suggest that if you never fasted before, start with one meal. Use the 20-40 minutes that you would normally be eating, go to a quiet place and just pray. Talk to God about those things in your life He needs to clean up. Talk to God about problems that only He can fix. One powerful way to use fasting is fast and spend that time in prayer for someone else. Sacrifice that meal and spend the time praying for the needs of someone else. That is powerful!

I love you, care about you, and will always be here for you in your time of need. Fasting i! s a great
way to make a minor sacrifice in our daily life to get closer to the Lord. One day, all of those who have accepted Jesus will spend eternity with Him. Fasting is a small way that we can take a few moments during this life to enjoy that special intimate closeness with our Lord.

A cheating spouse!!!

(Exodus 20:14)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, thank you for another day of life! Even though this is a special day in the life of your ministry here at Liveprayer, let us never to forget that EVERY DAY is a special day since it is a gift from you! Please let me never take one day, one hour, one minute of this precious life for granted and may I always honor you with my life! In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

Perhaps there is no subject more personal, more emotional, and more difficult to deal with than that of a spouse who cheats. First of all, there is absolutely NO justification for cheating on your spouse. Point blank. It is a sin in God’s eyes. Man has tried in his own feeble way to categorize sin. Bad sins, and really bad sins. Sin is sin in the eyes of God, no matter what it involves, since sin is an act of rebellion towards God.

There is no arguing however, because of the intimate and sensitive nature of adultery, it is a highl! y visible
sin because of the raw emotions involved. Having laid that foundation, let me look for a minute at this topic from both sides. That of the person who has committed adultery, and that of the spouse who has been cheated on.

First of all, for anyone who has committed adultery, you have to understand some basic issues. First is that what you have done is a sin in God’s eyes, no matter how you may try to justify or spin it. There is NO circumstance that makes adultery acceptable. Second, anyone who has been involved in this type of behavior knows deep down inside the incredible price you end up paying, for what boils down to a few moments of pleasure. Like all sin, you pay a very high price for what you end up receiving.

Having dealt with this issue in literally thousands of cases over the years, I can assure you that there is NEVER a positive ending. These relationships, due to the foundation on which they are built, never last long, and if they do, are never filled ! with the
joy and peace life has to offer. Remember, God cannot and will not bless sin. So you go off into this new relationship on a foundation of sin and deceit, without the blessings of God. How can you ever expect it to work?

So what is the answer? Simple. Repent, get right with God, and then begin the long, long process of getting back into a correct relationship with your spouse. This will take lots of time, lots of effort, and things will never be 100% the way they were before. However, God can heal and help you and your spouse find His peace and love again to live many happy years together. It is not hopeless.

But you have to be willing to repent, get right with God, and then take the steps necessary to get right with your spouse. God is able to do all things, and you will need His help and strength each step of the way, but He will honor your commitment. Don’t give up, that is what the enemy wants you to do.

For the spouse that has been cheated on, it become! s a time
for you to find a level of faith and trust in God you never experienced before. Because of the deep hurt and wounds, God is your only source of strength during this time. While the Bible in the New Testament does give a scriptural “out” in a marriage when adultery is involved, the reading of the complete Word still proclaims it is God’s plan for one man, one woman, one lifetime. That must be your goal.

You will need to spend much time in prayer for your spouse. They need your prayers to overcome the wrongs they have done. You will need to spend much time in prayer with the Lord to keep in focus that you are loved. Many spouses who have been cheated on feel that they are to blame. Listen. You CANNOT control the actions of your spouse. You CANNOT be responsible for what they do. Quit blaming yourself for their actions! Know that in Christ you are loved and worthy.

Lastly, you will need LOTS of prayer to have a forgiving heart. This, of course, is the most difficult! hurdle
to overcome. It is not possible in our strength. Only God can give you a forgiving heart to go on. Ultimately, the key will be in your focus on the Lord. Your faith, your trust in the Lord will be tested and stretched. It is in times like this when your faith becomes very real.

There is absolutely no way in just a few paragraphs I can deal with an issue like this that can fill a library full of books. I have tried to give you the bottom line from both sides of this issue. It will all boil down to each spouse’s commitment to the Lord to overcome this part of your life. The cheating individual will need the Lord to overcome the sin committed and get back into a right relationship with the spouse, and the spouse will need the Lord to overcome the intense emotions and feelings to allow the spouse back into a place of trust in the relationship.

There is no way things can ever be the same again; however, the Lord is still in the healing business, and He can help work t! hings out
so there is still a loving, fruitful relationship for many years to come. The key is trusting God and not giving up.

I love you, and I care about you deeply. I realize from all of the emails we get each day how prevalent this issue is. I will be praying for you today, both those who have committed adultery and those spouses who have been cheated on. I realize the heartache and pain you are going through. If I can help in any way, don’t hesitate to email me; I will do my best. I cannot do marriage counseling over email, but I can pray and give some basic direction.

My main point today is that God is still on the throne, He is still in control, and despite our rebellion…..He will have the final word. Jesus said, “be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.” That includes the sins in this world like adultery.

In His love and service,

Your friend, brother, and co-laborer in Christ,

Bill Keller
