(Hebrews 10:36)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, thank you for your blessings. I admit so much of the time I take most of them for granted, but today, I want to acknowledge your love for me and the many blessings you bestow upon me each and every day. It is easy to say thank you, but more important to thank you in how I live my life each day. Give me your strength to live my life pleasing and acceptable to you during this day. In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!

One of the things that I lack more than anything in my life is patience. I have done better as I get older, but it is still something that I have to pray about and work on almost every day. Many of the problems that I read about in people’s lives each and every day can be traced back to a lack of patience. How often do we jump out, do something without really thinking it through or praying about it…and then not wait on God to see if it is something that He wants us to be doing….and end up in a major mess?

It doesn’t matter what the issue is. Finances, relationships, where we should be working, living, recreating, going to school, everything we do in our life should be done with careful thought, prayer, and leading by the Holy Spirit.

Often I speak about hearing from God. Obviously, this is where patience comes in to play. Now this doesn’t mean we are to just sit in our room, praying, fasting, and waiting for God to speak to us from the heavens. To be very honest with you, I really hope that never happens to me. I’m comfortable hearing from God in the normal ways like through His Word, through prayer, through that “still small voice.” We just can’t be paralyzed, we need to live our lives.

As we are making those key important decisions of life, we need to think them through, ask ourselves what does the Word say and what would God want us to do. I can tell you, almost every decision we make during the day can be made using those two questions as your guide. In the bigger decisions, those that will affect our life in a major way, we need to exercise patience and see what God wants us to do.

Don’t ever forget, He has a plan and purpose for your life already drawn up. He will show you the way and give you direction on those important key decisions. He won’t be silent. The big problem becomes our desires when they aren’t His desires. We often try to see what we want to see and ignore God when He is obviously closing a door in our life, or perhaps opening one.

One reason we often don’t have much patience is because we may already know what it is God wants and it isn’t really what we want.

It is called rebellion, and it will cause you pain and heartache every single time. Maybe not right away, but trust me, when you are doing it your way and not His, there is ALWAYS a price to pay.

I love you and care about you a great deal. It is no accident you receive these Devotionals every day, and I never take lightly the opportunity God has given me to encourage you, challenge you, and stand with you as He continues to make you the man or woman of God He intended, as He speaks to you and leads you into the service he has planned for your life each and every day.

I will be praying today for you to have patience, to wait on God during those critical decisions you must make at times in your life. I will be praying that you hear Him clearly and then follow His directions, not rebel, but obediently follow Him in the direction He wants you to go. During this 4th of July holiday, with all that may be going on with cookouts, fireworks, and time with family and friends, learn to be patient and wait on God. Remember, His timing is ALWAYS perfect!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

It is Spring Break

(1 Corinthians 6:18; 2 Timothy 2:22; Ephesians 5:18; James 4:7)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please watch over me today and keep me from all harm. I look to you for protection from the evil in this world. Father, you know my challenges today. I give them to you. Let me be about your business today, as I know you will be about mine. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

It is spring break. Young men and women are flocking to places like South Padre Island in Texas, Panama City in the Florida Panhandle, Daytona Beach in Florida, various hot spots in Mexico, as well as places like Jamaica and other beach-front destinations in the U.S. and abroad. While the official reason for these few days away from family and school is “Spring Break,” the real reason for going is to let loose and party. Young adults go to Spring Break for three things, SEX, ALCOHOL, AND DRUGS, or what I simply call SAD.

Is it unfair to say that the only reason young adults go to Spring Break is to have sex, drink, and do drugs? Yes, but sadly the statistics over the past decade clearly tell us that is what the vast majority end up doing whether that was their initial goal or not. Even “good kids” who would never think of having sex until they get married, who don’t drink, who would never do drugs, find themselves away from home in a far-off place where nobody really knows them, being immersed in a scene that is promoting sex, alcohol, and drugs non-stop, and around other kids who have clearly come to have wild uninhibited sex, drink until they pass out, and take illegal drugs.

It reminds me of that passage of Scripture that says to “flee from temptation.” If sex, alcohol, and drugs are not your goal during Spring Break, why would you ever want to put yourself in an environment and around others who clearly have that as their stated desires? Can a young adult go to Spring Break and not have sex, not drink, not do drugs? Of course! However, knowing that is what Spring Break is all about, knowing that is what most young adults go to Spring Break for, if in fact you are not interested in those things why would you go to begin with?

Joseph didn’t stand around in the presence of Potiphar’s wife who came on to him and wanted to have sex with him. He literally RAN from her. Let’s be honest. Joseph was a man of flesh and blood. My guess is Potiphar’s wife was probably a gorgeous woman. On top of that, this gorgeous MARRIED woman made it very clear that she wanted to have sex with Joseph. At that point he really only had two choices. Stay and probably fall into sin with this woman, or run from her and honor God. Could Joseph have stayed, tried to reason with her, and not had sex? Of course! However, Joseph knew that he was weak, and rather than try to see how strong he was, got up and ran from temptation.

Listen, every year after Spring Break I get deluged with emails from young men and women who are back home or back in school after Spring Break. Some know the Lord, others don’t, but the emails every year are the same. They are riddled with guilt because they ended up having sex with someone. Oh, and this just in, oral sex is sex! Many drank for the first time or did drugs for the first time. Those who have drank and/or done drugs in the past, drank more than ever and did drugs they have never used before while on Spring Break.

It would be bad enough if some guilt and shame were the only aftermath of Spring Break, but those are the ones who got off the easiest from their time of rebellion by indulging in the pleasures of the flesh. Most were dealing with more dire consequences from their sins. Things like unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases (some that they will have the rest of their life), girls who had pictures or videos taken of them flashing their bodies, men and some women who got into fights, finances ruined by maxing out credit cards and using funds needed for school, various injuries, auto accidents, are just a few of the real life consequences many young adults had to face after Spring Break.

What clearly drives this sinful, hedonistic behavior during Spring Break is alcohol and illegal drugs. As a matter of fact, let me tell you that well over 90% of the sins I deal with each day in people’s lives involve alcohol and/or drugs. Most young adults are not experienced at drinking, and under the influence of alcohol make choices, do things they would never dream of doing while sober. The same goes for the use of illegal drugs. Each drug affects a person in different ways, and young adults on Spring Break using illegal drugs recreationally will have their minds altered to the extent they will make choices, do things that they would never even consider doing if they were not high.

*I can guarantee you that almost 100% of the people who email me for prayer each year after Spring Break would not be in the situation they were in if they had not been drinking and/or using illegal drugs.

For those of you who are laughing right now, thinking that I am making a big deal out of nothing, that Spring Break is just harmless fun, let me share with you a recent example from the news to drive home the point that we are talking about something that could literally cost you your very life. A couple weeks ago, a 24-year-old grad student in New York went out on a Saturday night drinking. A few days later they found her dead body in a garbage dump. She had been sexually assaulted, tortured, butchered, killed, and her dead, mutilated, bound body discarded in an empty lot like an old sofa.

As this tragic story has been unfolding, what is known is that this young woman began the last night of her life out drinking with friends. As one bar closed, she went by herself to another bar and was there drinking until it closed at 4 a.m. At some point after leaving the bar in a highly intoxicated state, she was abducted by a sick and demented predator, sexually violated, tortured, and killed. Does a woman who uses poor judgment by getting drunk and being alone at 4 a.m. deserve to be killed? Am I blaming this woman who was killed? Absolutely not! However, they become the easy prey these sick and demented predators are looking for.

It is dangerous enough for a woman to be out alone at 4 a.m. When you add being intoxicated or high on drugs, you now have a very dangerous situation where someone could easily lose their life. Young women and men in a strange city or even strange country for Spring Break that are out in the bars in the early morning hours become easy targets for rapists, robbers, and predators of all kinds who are looking for people in a vulnerable state to take advantage of. Being out in the early morning hours, especially drunk and/or high, is very dangerous and can even cost you your life.

I love you and care about you so much. What I am sharing with you today is not meant to keep people from having fun in their life, it is to insure people have fun in their life. Don’t ever forget, satan is a liar and his goal is to kill, steal, and destroy…YOU! Satan says having sex outside of marriage is fun. Tell me how much fun it is to be young, not married and having the responsibility of caring for and raising a baby, or how much fun it is to have a STD for the rest of your life, or how much fun it is to deal with all the emotions of being involved with a person sexually you are not committed to for life in marriage, or how much fun it is to carry the guilt of knowing you are living in rebellion to God by having sex outside of God’s plan for marriage.

Satan says getting drunk and high are fun Tell me how much fun it is to drink or get high and start saying and doing things you would never do with a clear mind, or how much fun it is to have a hangover or the hard “down” from being high, or how much fun it is to get a DUI, or how much fun it is to get sick and throw up all over the place, or how much fun it is to wake up and not remember what you did the night before, or how much fun it is when you get into bondage to alcohol and/or drugs and need it every day.

Satan uses illicit sex, drinking, and illegal drugs to destroy lives at every age, especially young adults who get caught up in these activities before they really understand life or how dangerous they are. Spring Break has become that time of the year when satan tempts many good kids who are away from home and in an environment where they can easily have sex, drink, do drugs without anyone knowing. Another lie, since God knows! Spring Break has become a trap to lure young adults into the world of illicit sex, alcohol, and drugs under the guise of just having fun when engaging in these activities can bring you great harm, destroy, and even cost you your life.

I will be praying for you today, especially those young adults preparing to go to Spring Break in a few weeks who are reading these words. God loves you so much. He only wants the best for your life. He has a wonderful plan and purpose for your life. That plan and purpose will only unfold as you yield your life to Him. God gave you life and life abundantly The lie of this world is that to have fun you have to engage in acts of rebellion to God. In reality, those acts of rebellion aren’t fun at all, they are harmful.

There are tons of things young adults can do to have true fun that don’t include acts of rebellion against God. In these last days when the lie has been told so long and so loud, and most young adults have fallen for the lies of the satan that enjoyment is found in sex, alcohol, and drugs, I am praying that those young men and women who know the Lord will take a stand for Christ this Spring Break. You can show your peers that you can still have fun without having sex, you can still have fun without alcohol, and you can still have fun without doing drugs. This Spring Break, I pray there will be plenty of girls (and guys) gone wild for Jesus!!!

Losing A Baby due to Miscarriage

(Genesis 33:5, Psalm 127:3, Proverbs 17:6, Deuteronomy 6:7)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, thank you for another day of life! Even though this is a special day in the life of your ministry here at Liveprayer, let us never to forget that EVERY DAY is a special day since it is a gift from you! Please let me never take one day, one hour, one minute of this precious life for granted and may I always honor you with my life! In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

One of the difficult things I deal with each day here at Liveprayer, are parents who have suffered the loss of their baby due to a miscarriage. Sadly, 15-20% of known pregnancies end in a miscarriage, so this is an issue that touches most families and something many who are reading this today have experienced. Of course the question each one who has lost a baby like this asks is why? There are simply some things in this life we will never know the answer to. Why God chooses to allow a baby to live only a few short weeks or someone to live to 90, is something only He knows. This is another classic example of the fact tomorrow is promised to none of us, regardless how old you are, and each day is a gift from God. The one thing we do know is that a baby who is lost while in its mother’s womb is forever with Jesus!

The greatest joy for any parent is to know that their child will spend all eternity with the Lord. A baby in the womb who has not had the opportunity to mature to the point of understanding sin and making a choice of faith to accept or reject Jesus is forever with the Lord due to His grace. As devastating as losing a baby is, I pray today that the assurance your child will be forever with the Lord comforts those moms and dads who have suffered this great loss in their life. I also pray that the Lord will help you heal and bless you with many more children in the future. He loves you!

While death is a sad part of this human experience we all have to deal with throughout our journey and one day face ourselves, today I also want to deal with the other end of that spectrum, when life begins. One of the great joys I have each day is receiving emails from people excited that they are going to have a child. It is one of those special moments in a person’s life that crescendos less than a year later with the birth of that precious baby. It has been an honor and privilege to pray for so many babies still in the womb and in a few months receive a picture of one of those babies that is truly a gift from God.

Having a child is one of the greatest responsibilities a person has during this lifetime. Raising that child is without a doubt the most important ministry a parent will ever have. The Bible claims in 1 Timothy 5:8 that if you don’t take care of your relatives, especially those in your family you have denied the faith and are worse than an infidel or unbeliever. There are no exceptions to this verse. It doesn’t say, unless you are a pastor. It doesn’t say, unless you are the head of a major company. It doesn’t say, unless you are too busy helping other people. The Word of God is clear that the number one responsibility of a parent is to your family and EVERYTHING else in your life is secondary.

*I want every parent to take a moment right now, pray, and ask God if your spouse and children are truly the number one priority in your life after your relationship with Christ. If not, NOW is the time to make whatever changes that need to be made to insure they are!

For every man and woman who is reading this today that is expecting a child, I want to encourage you to start praying over your child even now while that baby is still in the womb. Pray health over your baby. Pray protection over your baby. Pray God’s blessings over your baby. Pray that your baby will have a heart that yearns for Jesus. Even after that baby is born, you need to be praying over your baby everyday. God has entrusted this life into your care. Prayer demonstrates our dependence upon God. Never in your life will you be more tested and more dependent upon the Lord than in raising your child.

As your child begins to get older, teaching that child how to pray, reading the Word of God to your child, making sure your child is in church every week, are all ways to follow God’s Word and raise that child in the admonition of the Lord. GOD HAS GIVEN YOU THE RESPONSIBILITY OF RAISING YOUR CHILD IN THE FAITH AND WILL HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” *The greatest thing you will ever do for your child is to lay a foundation of faith in Christ and God’s Word in their life!

Listen moms and dads. As your child gets older they will begin to make their own decisions. At some point, you won’t be able to make their choices for them. That is why laying that foundation of faith is so critical. Let me make sure you understand something. You are NOT responsible for the decisions they make. Just like your mother and father were not responsible for the decisions you made, you are not responsible for the decisions your children will make.

That is why those early years are so critical, since what they learn in those early years will help to shape the choices they make as they get older. Know that even if they turn from the Lord at some point, when times get difficult it is that spiritual foundation you helped lay in their life that will sustain them. Just like the prodigal son made some horrible decisions, when he hit rock bottom he knew to “go home” to his father.

I know that many of you are in tears today because you so desperately want a child and for reasons only God knows, you have not been able to conceive. Why your prayers have not been answered is something only God knows for certain, but let me encourage you to continue to pray for a child, knowing that with God ALL things are possible. We have too many testimonies both from God’s Word and from so many people of how God allowed them to conceive later in life after many years of not having any children. Never forget that God may have a special calling on your life to be a mom or dad to a child by adoption. There are so many children who have been given up for adoption who need Godly parents, and God may be calling you to have a child by adoption.

I love you and care about you so much. For those who have suffered the pain of a miscarriage, I pray today that the Lord will be with you in a special way and that He will soon bless you with a child. There is nothing more exciting in life than finding out that you are going to have a child, going through those months of preparing for the birth of your child, and then that incredible day you will never forget as long as you live when your baby is born. Of course, that is also the start of the most important job you will ever have in this life, raising your child. Let me close today with a special prayer of blessing for your baby, whether this baby is still in the womb or recently born, and for you to be the Godly parents God has called you to be.

“Father, I pray today for those who have suffered the pain of having a miscarriage. Dear Lord, help them to heal and give them peace in knowing their baby is in Heaven, forever with you! Today, I pray for those precious babies who are still in the womb. I pray oh Lord that you will touch these precious lives and make their bodies healthy, their minds sharp, and their hearts tender towards the Lord. I pray oh Lord that you will bring forth these precious babies from the womb in your perfect timing and that these babies will grow and mature into mighty men and women of God should Jesus tarry in His return. For those babies and children, I pray oh Lord that you will protect them from the evils of this dark world. I pray oh Lord that they will be raised in the admonition of the Lord, in the strength of your Word, and become great men and women of God to lead your people in these last days. Father, I lift up the moms and dads of these children. Give them your strength, your wisdom, your discernment as they raise their children in the ways of the Lord. I pray oh Lord that you will guide them and help them to be the Godly moms and dads to their children you have called them to be. Bless their homes oh Lord, let the Sprit of the living God be present and make their homes and lives great beacons of light in this lost and dying world. I pray blessings on these babies and children, blessings on these moms and dads in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen”

God Will Speak to You Often in Strange Ways

(Ezekiel 33:1-9)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Father, please help me to be more like Jesus each day. Help me to be kind to others, to care about others, to share the hope of the Gospel with others. I love Jesus and my greatest desire is to be more like my Savior each day. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!!!

God will give you confirmation, often in a strange way, that you are right where you need to be and doing exactly what you need to be doing! LaSaveral years ago, the Lord gave me a strange but powerful confirmation that the work we are doing each day on the Liveprayer television program is accomplishing what we want in reaching unbelievers.

The Tampa Bay community has a free weekly publication called “Creative Loafing’ (formerly the Weekly Planet), that serves the arts and nightclub communities, while dealing with the news and social issues of our day from a liberal point of view. It also features restaurant reviews and the back pages are used to advertise adult businesses. Most major metropolitan areas have a similar type of a publication.

Each year, they give out awards they call “Loafies” in a Best of the Bay special edition (See: ). They rate everything from the best grouper sandwich to the best blues band to the best radio announcer to the best park. They also hand out “Loafies” to different people in the community.

This year, they awarded me a “Loafie” for the “Best Jesus Freak Gone Over the Edge.” Even though there was some light hearted humor in being named the winner, for me it was really an honor since it is validation that we have been successful in what we have been working to accomplish since the TV program started back in March of 2003. All I could ever ask is that people notice what we are doing and that they pay attention, since that means they are hearing the message!

As a follower of Christ, a servant of the most high Lord, all we have is His message. NOTHING ELSE! Despite the illusion so many high profile men and women of God are under, especially those who are on TV, they are not celebrities, they are not stars, and this is not Hollywood! We are nothing more than spokespeople for the Lord and despite how clever we may convince ourselves into thinking we are, we only have one message that matters, THE GOSPEL! All the rest is wood, hay, and stubble! If we are doing what we do for ANY other reason than to serve the Lord, if we have any other message but the Gospel, than we have totally failed God!

Listen, I see daily and have shared with you from the day we started the TV program how effective it is. We know that each and every day from the hundreds of emails we get and the phone calls we take on each program. I have tens of thousands of emails from viewers telling me how God impacted their life through the TV program. We have over 10,000 souls we know who will be in Heaven as a direct result of the Liveprayer TV program. So I don’t need some cute award from an alternative newspaper to tell me what we are doing is impacting lives and souls for all eternity.

What that award DOES is confirm that people who may or may not believe in God but for the most part have rejected the Truth of the Bible and faith in Christ, notice what we are doing and are paying attention, which means they are hearing the message!!!

My friend, that is all any of us can ask. All you can ask of your unsaved family members, neighbors, classmates, the people you work with, those you meet along your daily journey, is that they hear your message. God gave each person free will. We can’t force anyone to believe. We can’t force anyone to give their heart and life to Jesus. We can’t force anyone to live their life according to the Bible.

All we can do is share the message of Christ’s love and the Truth of God’s Word and then pray for that person. People are hearing the messages of the world loud and clear virtually every waking moment. Even Christians are hearing the messages of the world all throughout the day. Why do you think so many Believers fall into sin, go the way of the world despite having placed their faith in Jesus Christ? THEY ARE INFLUENCED BY THE MESSAGES THE WORLD IS SENDING THEM CONSTANTLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY!

That is why we have been commanded by God to share our faith with others, to share with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is why I challenge you all the time to become more bold and not to let those opportunities we all get each day to tell someone about Jesus pass you by. We take for granted that people will hear the message from someone else. We take for granted that because the person is alive today they will be alive tomorrow. THE FACT IS GOD PUT YOU IN THEIR LIFE TO SHARE WITH THEM THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST’S LOVE AND THEY MAY NOT BE ALIVE TOMORROW SINCE TOMORROW IS PROMISED TO NONE OF US!!!!

Does that mean the person you share Christ with will fall on their knees and accept the Lord by faith on the spot? They might! You will never know until you give them that opportunity. But even if they don’t, you have done your job. You have planted the seeds of everlasting life into their heart and mind. You have been obedient and faithful to do what God has commanded ALL of those who follow Him to do. In the end it is up to each person to make that choice for themselves. However, God has given those who know Him the responsibility of sharing with those they meet along their journey each day the words of everlasting life through faith in Jesus Christ.

I love you and care about you so much. I am excited about this award because it means we are making penetration in the marketplace. We are boldly, visibly, and loudly making our case for Biblical Truth and Christ in the same marketplace that is feeding the masses a steady diet of the lies of satan literally 24/7.

We stand out and are noticed because there are so few who are taking that public stand any longer. Many view us as extremists and intolerant since we live our lives so different from the way the world who rejects the Bible and Christ lives theirs. We refuse to give in to the sins this world embrace. We refuse to live down to the standards of this lost world but live up to the standards of the Bible. So we appear as a “peculiar people” to those outside of the faith.

The great news is that this visibility allows us to not only bring the message of hope in Christ to so many who don’t go to church, don’t read the Bible, don’t believe in Jesus, but reach those who are hurting and lost and looking for answers and hope in their life. As a follower of Christ, God is calling YOU to be bold and visible as well in letting people know about Jesus.

My friend, those who die without Jesus are going to go to hell! THAT IS A FACT! Knowing that fact, how can you not tell the ones you meet about the Lord? I will be praying for you today as God moves on your heart how critical it is that you not shy away from those opportunities to share your faith each day, but boldly embrace them! Remember, it is an order not an option, and it is not you they accept or reject, but Jesus!

God loves you and He knows we are frail flesh and blood. We all need to be encouraged from time to time. We all need to some confirmation so we know we are on the right path. God will give you that confirmation along your journey. Often, it will come in a strange form like a “Loafie,” but it will be God saying “Well done, stay the course!”

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Without Jesus You Have Nothing!

(Luke 14:23; Titus 1:16; Galatians 6:1-12)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, give me your strength to stand for your Truth no matter what the cost. It is easy to call myself a follower of Jesus, but when confronted, when challenged, when faced with persecution, will I still say I am a follower of Jesus? I love you Lord and ask for your strength so no matter what I have to endure for my faith, I will stand firm. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!

You can have it all by the standards of this world, but without Jesus, you have NOTHING! Knowing that there is the better percentage of two full generations living today that don’t go to church, were not raised in a Christian home, and have no spiritual foundation to their lives, I am motivated daily to bring these people the Truth of God’s Word and the hope and love of Christ before they fall into the hands of the many cults and false religions that exist today. Let me help you understand something. When man sinned and his relationship with God was broken, there became a void in man that only God can fill. Deep down, sinful man knows something is missing in his life, something that the things of this world can’t fill, and he begins a search to fill that void.

Everyone who lives has to deal with the trials, the pain, the challenges of living in this sinful and fallen world. Those who have no spiritual foundation to their life will spend their teen and young adult years trying to fill that spiritual void with the things this world promotes such as alcohol, drugs, relationships, sex, money, career, material possessions, and all the other temporal things of this life. It is usually when a person hits their 30s that they realize that the things this world offers simply do not fill that void they have in their life. That is why during their 30s and 40s so many people begin to explore the spiritual side of their life.

Those of us who know Jesus Christ as our Savior, who know the Truth of God’s Word, have the ONLY answer these people are looking for. That void in their life is there due to their broken relationship with God their Creator and can only be filled by being reconnected to God their Creator thru faith in His Son Jesus Christ. What upsets me more than anything else is to watch the cults and false religions of the world boldly and aggressively market themselves to the lost and hurting in this world as the answer they are looking for. They don’t do this by creating their own subculture and hoping people will come to them, they actively go out and pursue people, using the resources of this world to reach them with their lies and false hope.

Let me be blunt. While we have become content with building beautiful buildings with all the modern conveniences and technologies of the world for our people to enjoy, while we have set up our own TV, radio, music, and publishing empires to preach to ourselves, the cults of the world like the Mormons, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Kaballah, Scientology, Moon’s Unification Church, the false religions of the world like Islam, Buddhism, B’hai, Hindu, and the many New Age philosophies, are reaching out to the lost and hurting in this world through secular TV, radio, music, advertising, and publishing vehicles that reach the world’s masses each day.

We have forgotten that Jesus told us to, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14:23 KJV) At some point it became too much work to go out and reach people and much more financially profitable to simply preach to the choir. So we abandoned the world, retreated to the subculture we created for ourselves to enjoy, and in the process have left the souls of men to the scavengers of satan who are having a field day leading the lost into eternal damnation, while we sit in our $20 million buildings singing about going to Heaven.

One of the fastest growing cults today is Scientology. As I have shared with you in the past, cults and false religions are nothing new to the time we are living in. Man has been trying to find ways to fill that void created by his broken relationship with God since the very beginning. You don’t go too many chapters into the Book of Genesis until you come to the story of the Tower of Babel. That story is literally about men who decided to create their own religion. The cults and false religions of this world are all traced back to the hearts and minds of men who lived in rebellion to God.

The Mormon cult came from the imagination of that pedophile murderer Joe Smith, another pedophile murderer Mohamed dreamed up what we know of today as Islam, Mary Baker Eddy created the Christian Science cult out of her blackened heart, and Charles Taze Russell created the Jehovah’s Witness cult. Every cult and false religion can be traced back to a man who lived his life in rebellion to God and created the cult or false religion out of his imagination. The Truth, the Christian faith actually started in the Garden of Eden and comes directly from God Himself, the very God who created the heavens and earth and made man in His own image.

I am always amused at people who reject the story of Christ and God’s simple plan to redeem fallen man, yet buy into the wild theology of cults like Mormonism and Scientology. Christianity requires that you use your God-given intelligence to make the choice to accept Christ as your Savior based on reality. Cults like Mormonism and Scientology require that you abandoned all intelligence and blindly believe wild stories based on no facts. I have to be honest with you, I will never have enough faith to believe the fantasies of Mormonism or Scientology, but many who are hurting and lost and looking to fill that spiritual void in their life, will.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray that you will not neglect the commandment we have from our Lord to share the hope and love of Christ and the Truth of His Word with those you meet along your journey. The Lord didn’t sit in a church and wait for people to come to Him, HE WENT TO THEM! Christ is our example and we need to not only follow His example but His words to, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14:23 KJV)

This is not complicated. We have the better percentage of two full generations of people out there who have never been to church. They are living their lives void of Christ and His Truth. We know they have a spiritual void that at some point they will try to fill. That is why now more than ever we need to be bold and aggressive in letting people know that there is only ONE TRUTH in this world, there is only ONE ANSWER for their problems, and there is only ONE WAY to fill that void in their life…FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!

God’s desire is that none be lost, that all come to repentance. May that become our desire as well. Those who follow cults like Mormonism and Scientology are on a conveyor belt to hell. Let us bring them the Truth of God’s Word and the hope and love of Christ, so that they can get off before it is too late and get on the conveyor belt to HEAVEN!!!

The Lessons of Jericho’s Walls for Your Life!

(Joshua 6:6-20)

**DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, give me an abundance of your JOY today. Let the “joy of the Lord” me mine on this day, and help me to share that joy with others. In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

The lesson of Jericho’s walls for your life! I have always loved the Biblical account of how Joshua and the children of Israel destroyed the city of Jericho. I love reading this passage of Scripture because it is the personification of the walk of faith we have been called to make during our journey through this life. The city of Jericho was taken because the man God raised up to lead His people, Joshua, was in an intimate relationship with Him so he was able to HEAR God talking to him, he had the faith to BELIEVE what God said to him, and he had the courage to ACT on exactly what God told him to do.

If you will simply read and meditate on the first 20 verses in Joshua Chapter 6, you will know everything you need to know about being a mighty man or woman of faith. These 20 verses give us the blueprint to how we can do great things for God today. You might say, but I’m not Joshua, I’m nobody special. Listen, what made Joshua special was the fact he loved God. He honored God with his life. He had a close, intimate relationship with God. He believed God. He had the faith to act on his belief in God.

That is what made Joshua and many of the men and women you read about in the Bible special. They were born just like you and I, they died just like you and I will, they were flesh and blood with human weaknesses just like you and I. What made them special was their relationship with God. What makes you special is your relationship with Jesus!!!

Let’s look at how the city of Jericho was taken by the children of Israel. Joshua was the leader of God’s people. Never forget that he was a mighty man of war. His business was war. He was God’s man to drive out the heathen from the Promised Land. The city of Jericho was going to be a big problem since the key feature to the city was its high, impenetrable walls. The children of Israel had a real dilemma since there was no way to take the city unless they could come up with a plan to take down those walls.

I have no doubt that Joshua gathered the best demolition experts from the children of Israel and sought their expertise on how to take down the massive walls of Jericho. As a military man, I am sure he gathered his top military advisors and discussed all the various plans on how they could get the walls down and take the city. I can envision in Joshua’s war room, he had put together several plans for the destruction of Jericho.

It was about this time that God spoke to Joshua. I hear people all the time say, “How do you know it was God,” or, “Why would God speak to you?” or, “God doesn’t speak to men any longer.” First, you know it is God because you learn how to recognize His voice. That doesn’t happen overnight, but over time. We have a huge advantage over men like Joshua since we have His Word and God will never tell us something in contradiction to His Word. The more you listen to God, the better you become at hearing His voice.

Second, why would God speak to you? The fact is God speaks to ALL of His children. The issue isn’t whether God speaks to us, the issue is do we pay attention when He does. When you come to know Christ as your Savior by faith, you enter into this close, intimate, personal relationship with Him. Like in any relationship, you talk to Him and He talks to you. People who are in a relationship talk to each other. So of course God speaks to you if you are in a relationship with Him.

Third, where in God’s Word does it say He no longer speaks to men? That is sheer foolishness to believe such a lie. Again, God has been speaking to His children since Adam. There is NOTHING in God’s Word to remotely suggest that the same God who spoke to Abraham, to Joshua, and to Paul, doesn’t still speak to His children today. NOTHING! Again, if you aren’t hearing God speaking to you, you simply aren’t listening! Because Joshua was in this intimate, close, personal relationship with the God of Abraham, he was able to HEAR God speaking to him.

God is a God of specifics. When God began to speak to Joshua about the plan to take down the walls of Jericho, He gave Joshua very detailed and specific instructions exactly what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. This reminds me of when God spoke to Noah about building the ark. He didn’t just tell Noah to go and build a boat, he gave Noah the detailed plans to the inch of exactly how that ark was to be built. God is a God of details and specifics.

We are now at a very critical part of these events. No doubt Joshua had already been preparing his own plans after consulting with the best minds he could find on exactly how to take down the walls of Jericho and destroy that city. About this time, God, who Joshua has a wonderful relationship with, speaks to him and tells him in great specificity how to take down the walls of Jericho and destroy the city.

I am certain that after hearing God’s plan of marching around the walls for 6 days, on the 7th day march around them 7 times while blowing trumpets, and then have everyone give a loud shout which will cause the walls to come down, this war general and military strategist was on the floor laughing. God’s plan made no earthly sense at all.

My friend, you will find that God’s plan often doesn’t make sense to us. First of all, God knows things we don’t. In case you haven’t learned this yet, God is smarter than we are. God’s plan will often be something that in the end, when it works, people will have to sit back and say, “Only God could have done this!” This way it is God, not man, who gets the glory and it becomes a testimony of His power and majesty to this lost world we live in. This critical point was whether Joshua would go with his plan or God’s. Ultimately, he had to decide whether he had the faith to BELIEVE what God told him.

That takes us to the final step, which is where the rubber meets the road when it comes to our faith, acting on what God has told us to do. I have said to you often that if you believe it, you will do it! James, in talking to Believers tells us that faith without works is dead. True Biblical faith REQUIRES ACTION! Saying you have faith but never acting on that faith is not really faith. Joshua heard from God, he believed what God told him, which left him no choice but to ACT on exactly what God told him to do!!!

I love you and care about you so much. In case you can’t feel it, I am fried up today! This is the meat of the word that motivates me, challenges me, and drives me each day to be all God has called me to be. I have spent literally tens of thousands of hours fellowshipping with God to be able to hear his voice clearly. Over these many years of following and serving the Lord, I am now at a place where I have seen His mighty hand in my life and millions of lives every day that when God says it I believe it. Because I have learned how to hear His voice and believe what He says, I have no problem stepping out and acting on what He tells me to do.

I never even owned a computer or sent or received an email until Liveprayer started in 1999. But I heard from God, I believed Him, and I acted on that belief. Even though I had done considerable work on Christian television, I had no idea what to expect when I went on major secular network TV stations and began telling a non-Christian audience each night what the Bible says and that Jesus is their only hope. But I heard from God that this is what He called me to do, I believed Him, and I acted on that belief. My friend, this is what walking by faith is all about!!!

The Jonah Project is very similar. How many times has God been talking to me about stepping up and calling this nation to repentance. How many times did I question God and did nothing because I knew if this was God He would ask someone who is far more qualified than I am. I remember telling God He was crazy, since nobody is going to listen to some obscure Internet evangelist. It was only after God showed me some of the breath of the Jonah Project, other nations repenting and turning back to God, souls being saved, a gathering place for the true remnant to get victory over some of the social ills destroying our culture, that I had to finally accept this was real and I had no choice but to act.

I will be praying for you today. God is calling YOU to walk by faith just like Joshua did. The first key is to HEAR from God. Next, you must BELIEVE God. Lastly, you must ACT on what God is telling you to do. It is time for you to take your stand for the Lord just like Joshua and all the faithful men and women of God have over these past 6,000 years of human history. God loves you and wants to use your life. Your greatest blessings flow from obeying Him. I will be praying for you today to hear God speaking to you, praying for you to have the faith to believe God, and praying for you to act on what God is calling you to do!!!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Are You at that Place of Desperation Where You Don’t See Any Solutions?

(Proverbs 12:15)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please help me to live this day honoring you in my thoughts, words, and deeds. Help me this day to live my life pleasing and acceptable to Jesus. Allow me to use my life to help someone else during this day, and be kind to everyone I come across no matter how they may treat me. Let Christ shine through me throughout this day oh Lord, be glorified through my life! In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!

Are you at that place of desperation where you don’t see any solutions to the challenges you are facing? Are you in the 11th hour and losing hope? I get so many emails each day from people all over the world who are in the midst of major battles in their life. They are desperate, looking for something magical to happen to make their circumstances different overnight. I pray that by now you know how much I love you and care about you. I try to give myself each day to standing with you and helping you through the trials of everyday life.

This is one of those days that I need to use some tough love on you. So many of you have absolutely unrealistic expectations about resolving your problems that you need someone to tell you the truth. I hear over and over each day people say, “God has abandoned me…He doesn’t love me or how could He make me go through this.” The fact is God has never left you, God loves you unconditionally, and you go through most of the battles in your life because you do not have a workable plan to get victory.

It is also unrealistic to think that God is some genie in the bottle that you call on when you are in trouble and He will snap His fingers and make all of your problems go away. The fact is, most of your problems didn’t just happen overnight; they developed over a period of time. Victory will probably not happen overnight either; it will take place over a period of time. Let me interject that God can do anything, and if He, in His sovereign will, chooses to eliminate your problems overnight He CAN do that.

The logical question becomes where do I get this plan? God gives us His plan for victory in many ways. This is again why it becomes critical to have that intimate daily relationship with Him. It is in that close daily contact through prayer and the Word that He speaks to us. In our circumstances, He speaks to us. Through the counsel of others He speaks to us. It is a combination of all the above that helps us formulate a game plan, His plan, to be victorious.

One important element I just mentioned was the counsel of others. God has placed mature, Godly people in our life strategically to help us get victory over our battles. Drop your pride and reach out for the wise counsel of others. Let them know about your struggles and ask them to help you formulate a viable plan to see victory. Once armed with the plan God gives you, it requires you to be like Joshua as you faithfully and obediently follow the plan. Trust God, put your faith in Him, He won’t let you down. HE WILL LEAD YOU TO VICTORY OVER YOUR BATTLES!

For many of you today, you are so entrenched in the battles, you need a fresh set of eyes, someone from the “outside” who can give you a different perspective on your problems. If you are at the place of desperation, it is clear what you are doing is not working and you may need to totally restructure everything, This is where you need to humble yourself, swallow your pride, and find 2-3 people you trust to give you Godly counsel.

If it is a business problem, find people who are successful in your business. If it is some other type of problem, seek out those who have expertise in the area you are having problems. Sit down with these people, tell them what your problems are, what challenges you are facing, and ask them to give you a plan they would use if they were in your shoes. You need fresh ideas, fresh inspiration. I know that many of the problems I have had in my life were a a result of not seeking wise counsel. I have become a firm believer in the Biblical teaching to get wise counsel in those important decisions we make along our journey .

I realize that I am hitting very close to home for many of you today. For those of you that are dealing with some deep issues in your life, let me encourage you today. God loves you, He cares about you, and He has placed Godly men and women in the Body of Christ to help you overcome whatever your problems may be. Take this opportunity right now to ask God to give you the strength to admit there are problems that you just can’t overcome on your own, and that He will open up the doors for you and bring the right people into your life to help you overcome those problems and live the victorious life He intends you to enjoy!

I love you, I care about you deeply, and this is God talking to you today to lay your pride aside and seek out the help you need to overcome the problems in your life that are keeping you from enjoying the peace and joy that God intends for you to have. As I mentioned, God has placed many gifted and wonderful men and women in the Body of Christ to help you. Take advantage of them.

I will be in prayer for those of you who needed to hear these words of encouragement today. I realize that these can be deeply personal and difficult issues to deal with. My only desire is to see you become all that God has raised you up to be and know the incredible abundance this life can offer. I know you may be facing major issues in your life that are keeping that from happening, and I want you to know that there are answers, there are solutions, there is hope!

You don’t have to go through the rest of your life with that dark cloud hanging over you. You don’t have to go through another day without the joy God intends for you to have. God loves you and has placed people in your life to help you overcome those problems you are facing. There really is victory in Jesus. He has won the victory over whatever battle you are facing 2000 years ago on Calvary. May your number one priority today be getting a plan from God to win the battles you are facing in your life, execute the plan faithfully, and as my personal signature scripture from 1 Corinthians 15:57 says, “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
