The Rise in the Number of Children Who are Being Sexually Abused

(Psalm 17:6, 34:11, 113:9, 127:3-5)

The rise in the number of children who are being sexually abused. Today, I want to deal with the rise in the number of children who are being sexually abused. People wonder if there really is an increase in the number of children who are being sexually abused, or if it just seems like there is due to the fact it is more openly discussed today than in years past. You also never had the incredible number of news outlets we have today, including the 24-hour cable news networks.

Statistics do clearly show that the number of children who are being sexually abused is indeed on the rise. Because of the anonymity of the Internet and email, people come to us every day with issues in their lives that they have never told another living person about. The biggest one is people who were abused as children, in addition to many children and young adults we hear from who are currently living in a home where they were being sexually abused. I can tell you that over these nearly 13 years, the number of people we deal with who were and are being sexually abused has greatly increased each year.

In dealing with this incredibly sensitive and difficult issue today, I want to share with you WHY we are seeing this increase in children who are being sexually abused by men and women. The flurry of recent stories of female teachers having sex with their young male students has showed us that children are being sexually molested by men and women! There are two major contributing factors to this rise in the number of children who are being sexually abused. One is the widespread proliferation of pornography and the other is the breakdown of the family.

Porn used to be predominantly a male problem, and many people still view it as such. However, with the advent of the Internet, we deal every day with as many woman as men addicted to pornography. Porn has gained such widespread acceptance in our culture, that many view it as “harmless.” That is a lie from hell! Pornography destroys lives, destroys marriages, destroys families, destroys the ability of a person to have a normal and healthy sex life with their spouse, destroys careers, and leads people into other bondages like drugs and alcohol.

Here is where the widespread acceptance of pornography in our culture today factors into the rise in children being sexually abused. Like all addictions, those in bondage to porn need more stimulus as time goes on to get that rush or high. What starts out as simply looking at a few naked pictures on the Internet, turns into more hardcore porn, than turns into cyber and phone sex, than ultimately turns into visits to massage parlors, escorts, street prostitutes, swingers and BDSM clubs, as well as anonymous real-time meetings just for sex.

After a while just looking isn’t enough. After a while, scenes of normal sex become boring and people turn to more perverted forms of sex. The powder keg of a person in bondage to porn, needing more perverted forms of sex, needing to actually act out their fantasies, often leads them to the most accessible and vulnerable person they can control for their perverse pleasure…. a child!

The other major contributing factor to the rise in children being sexually abused is the breakdown of the family. For nearly 13 years now I have been preaching about how the moral deterioration of our society is directly linked to the breakdown of God’s plan for the family. The sexual abuse of children is simply a byproduct of that breakdown. The ideal situation is for a child to have a mother and father and live in a Godly, loving, nurturing home. That is God’s plan. With divorce rampant, with so many having sex outside of marriage and having children without a spouse, you now have well over 50% of children being raised by a single parent or by adults who are not their birth mother or father.

Today, a single mom or dad over the years their child is growing up might have 2, 3, 5, 10, or even more love interests who live there, stay the night, or just come over occasionally. Children are growing up today with a dad who has dozens of women in and out of his life, and subsequently his child’s life. Children are growing up today with a mom who has dozens of men in and our of her life, and subsequently in her child’s life. The fact is, these moms and dads are exposing their children to people they don’t even really know! They have NO CLUE who this person they are “seeing” really is, yet they expose their child to that person!

The other recipe for abuse lies in blended families. You have homes where the mom has 1, 2, even 3 sets of children all with different fathers. Couple that with her husband who might have 1, 2, even 3 sets of children all from different mothers. ALL THESE KIDS ARE NOW LIVING TOGETHER UNDER ONE ROOF! There is normally big age discrepancies and quite often you see sexual abuse occur when an older partial siblings abuses a younger partial sibling.

I love you and care about you so much. Having to deal with this issue every day for years, I know the incredible pain and damage sexual abuse does to a person’s life. I counsel people daily that they need to seek out qualified, professional Christian counseling. I can pray for them, encourage them, help them, and guide them spiritually, but there is very real psychological damage done when a child is sexually abused and they need to take advantage of those professionals God has gifted to help them work through all of the many complicated issues that are a result of sexual abuse. This is not something you can simply rub some dirt on and make it better. Anyone who has been sexually abused needs professional Christian counseling to help them heal and move forward in their life.

I will be praying for anyone today who has had to endure the horror of being sexually abused as a child. It is NOT your fault. You did NOTHING WRONG! Sadly, there is much evil in this world, and even children are not immune from that evil. I will pray for you today to seek out professional Christian counseling to help you heal from the abuse you suffered. I will pray for you to know that God loves you and that He has a plan and purpose for your life. YOU MATTER and have great worth! God wants to help you heal and help you move forward to live a victorious life in Christ. It is no accident or coincidence you are reading these words today. God is speaking to you and letting you know that HE LOVES YOU AND YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

I can only state again as I do so often how destructive pornography is, how critical who you marry is, and how vital it is to follow God’s plan for sex. Sex was created for a man and women in MARRIAGE. PERIOD! Ultimately, it is the children who suffer when there is a divorce. It is the children who suffer when a child is conceived out of wedlock. It is the child who suffers when they are raised in these complicated, blended families. Can God help a single mom and dad overcome their sin? YES! Can God bless a blended home? YES! The key is the mother, the father, have to humble themselves before the Lord and seek His strength, wisdom, and counsel each day as they love, protect, and nurture their child, raising that child in accordance with God’s Word.

I will be praying for you parents today. As I tell you so many times, being a mom and dad is the greatest ministry you will ever have. EVER! God gave you the gift of your child, and it is your responsibility to love, nurture, protect, and raise that child in the admonition of the Lord and to know Jesus as their Savior. It is the most difficult, but rewarding job you will ever have in this lifetime. I pray that God will give you His wisdom and counsel, strength and guidance, as you raise that child or children He has blessed you with!

There is a rise in the number of children being sexually abused, however, as there is also a rise in the number of men and women who come to know Jesus as their Savior, turn from the allure of pornography, follow God’s plan for marriage and the family, we can see that rise stopped!!!

Make Today Special for Tomorrow is Promised to Nobody

(1 Chronicles 29:15; Job 9:25; James 4:14; John 10:10)

Today is my 19,818 day on this journey through this brief life. When we talk about being good stewards of what God gives us, we immediately think of money. While much of the focus of our stewardship is on money, I want to remind you today that we are also called to be good and faithful stewards of our time. The Bible clearly teaches that tomorrow is promised to none of us, that each day is a gift from God. As I reflect back on my 19,818 days of life on this earth, I can honestly say that I have NOT always been a good steward of my time.

The biggest trap we all fall into is taking a day in our life for granted. We get so used to waking up in the morning, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, that we simply take today for granted expecting that there will be a tomorrow. The reality is tomorrow is NOT a guarantee. In the midst of over 40,000 prayer requests that we receive each day here at Liveprayer, at least 100 of them deal with the death of a family member or friend. They range in age from the loss of a baby still in the womb all the way to those who had a full life into their 90’s. It is God who will determine when each of us has completed our journey here, and there will be no more tomorrows.

A few years ago I preached the funeral for a man in his 30s. This was a man full of life, athletic, in great shape, had a wonderful family, an executive in a successful business. His secretary came into his office to bring him some papers and found him slumped over in his chair, dead from a massive heart attack. The other month, I was involved in helping a family deal with the loss of their 17-year-old son. The young man was involved in a 6-car wreck and died in the hospital from his injuries after several days. Just yesterday, I dealt with a man whose wife had been having headaches. A perfectly healthy young woman in her late 20s, went to see the doctor, 3 days later they were operating to remove a tumor on her brain, and 5 days after the surgery she was dead.

I share these real life incidents with you to help drive home the point that tomorrow is not promised to us, even though we often assume it will come. Today, right now, is the only thing we can be assured of. That is why I want to encourage you to make the most of today. Don’t treat it as simply “another day.” The fact is each day is unique unto itself. This day can be as special as you want to make it. I know that many of you are going through some difficult times in your life, have many pressing issues that you are dealing with, fighting tremendous battles. DON’T LET THE DAY-TO-DAY TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF LIFE KEEP YOU FROM MAKING TODAY SPECIAL!

How do you make today special? First, you start it in prayer and the Word. Nobody should even get out of bed without talking to the Lord. Talking with Jesus should be the very first thing you do when you wake up. Personally, I don’t get out of bed until I have spent time in prayer, conversing with the Lord, and then spending time in the Word. Before my feet even hit the ground, I have had a good talk with Jesus and spent some time in His Word. You can never imagine the strength, the encouragement, the peace and joy you have when you start your day with Christ and His Word. It helps you focus on the fact that no matter what may be going on in your life, no matter what the day may bring, you are not alone.

A big part of making each day special is the balance between all of the various activities and people that make up your life. Most people either work or go to school. I realize that dominates a big part of most days. However you still need to make the time for family, for friends, taking care of yourself physically through exercise and what you eat, serving the Lord, in addition to having some time for yourself. Our lives can be as full and as rich as we want to make them. Each day is special as we go through the day to day activities we have scheduled, and interacting with all of the different people that we do during the course of the day.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray that you will never take even one day of your life for granted again. EACH DAY IS SPECIAL! When it is over, it is never coming back, so make the most of it. Just as God will hold us accountable for how we use the money that He entrusts to us throughout our life, He is also going to hold us accountable for how we use the time that He has graciously given to us. Never forget, our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify God with our lives. We can never get so busy with our lives, so focused on what we want to do, that we forget to fulfill our purpose by serving the Lord and bringing glory to His name through our lives each day.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that you will make today special. Make it special by starting the day with the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Make it special by being the very best you can be on your job or at school. Make it special through all of the other activities you may engage in during the course of the day. Make it special by spending time with family and friends and interacting with all of the various people you will encounter during the day. Today is a day like none other, it is special and unique. Don’t treat it as just another day, but as the gift from God that it is!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

The Gift of Babies

(Genesis 33:5; Psalms 127:3; Proverbs 17:6; Deuteronomy 6:7)

While death is a sad part of this human experience we all have to deal with throughout our journey and one day face ourselves, today I want to deal with the other end of that spectrum, when life begins. One of the great joys I have each day is receiving emails from people excited that they are going to have a child. It is one of those special moments in a person’s life that crescendos less than a year later with the birth of that precious baby. It has been an honor and privilege to pray for so many babies still in the womb and in a few months receive a picture of one of those babies that is truly a gift from God.

Having a child is one of the greatest responsibilities a person has during this lifetime. Raising that child is without a doubt the most important ministry a parent will ever have. The Bible claims in 1 Timothy 5:8 that if you don’t take care of your relatives, especially those in your family you have denied the faith and are worse than an infidel or unbeliever.

There are no exceptions to this verse. It doesn’t say, unless you are a pastor. It doesn’t say, unless you are the head of a major company. It doesn’t say, unless you are too busy helping other people. The Word of God is clear that the number one responsibility of a parent is to your family and EVERYTHING else in your life is secondary.

I want every parent will take a moment right now, pray, and ask God if your spouse and children are truly the number one priority in your life after your relationship with Christ. If not, NOW is the time to make whatever changes that need to be made to insure they are!

For every man and woman that is reading this today that is expecting a child, I want to encourage you to start praying over your child even know while that baby is still in the womb. Pray health over your baby. Pray protection over your baby. Pray God’s blessings over your baby. Pray that your baby will have a heart that yearns for Jesus. Even after that baby is born, you need to be praying over your baby everyday. God has entrusted this life into your care. Prayer demonstrates our dependence upon God. Never in your life will you be more tested and more dependant upon the Lord than in raising your child.

As your child begins to get older, teaching that child how to pray, reading the Word of God to your child, making sure your child is in church every week, are all ways to follow God’s Word and raise that child in the admonition of the Lord. GOD HAS GIVEN YOU THE RESPONSIBILITY OF RAISING YOUR CHILD IN THE FAITH AND WILL HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” The greatest thing you will ever do for your child is to lay a foundation of faith in Christ and God’s Word in their life!

Listen moms and dads. As your child gets older they will begin to make their own decisions. At some point, you won’t be able to make their choices for them. That is why laying that foundation of faith is so critical. Let me make sure you understand something. You are NOT responsible for the decisions they make. Just like your mother and father were not responsible for the decisions you made, you are not responsible for the decisions your children will make.

That is why those early years are so critical, since what they learn in those early years will help to shape the choices they make as they get older. Know that even if they turn from the Lord at some point, when times get difficult it is that spiritual foundation you helped lay in their life that will sustain them. Just like the prodigal son made some horrible decisions, when he hit rock bottom he knew to “go home” to his father.

Let me speak for a minute directly to those who have had the pain of losing a child before you were able to give birth, as well as those who have had a baby or child die. Let me remind you the Bible tells us that tomorrow is promised to none of us. That means each day is a gift from God whether we are in the womb, 2 months old, 5 years old, 15, 40, or 90 years old. We will never fully understand why God chooses to allow someone to die when they do. However, the greatest desire and goal of any parent should be for their child to know Christ as their Savior and have the assurance of everlasting life.

For those who have lost a baby in the womb or a baby or young child, you can be assured that your baby or child is forever with the Lord. The only thing that will send a person to hell is rejecting Christ as their Savior and since your baby or child never had that opportunity, they are with the Lord for eternity.

Also, I know that many of you are in tears today because you so desperately want a child and for reasons only God knows, you have not been able to conceive. Again, why your prayers have not been answered is something only God knows for certain, but let me encourage you to continue to pray for a child, knowing that with God ALL things are possible.

We have too many testimonies both from God’s Word and from so many people of how God allowed them to conceive later in life after many years of not having any children. Also, never forget that God may have a special calling on your life to be a mom or dad to a child by adoption. There are so many children who have been given up for adoption who need Godly parents, and God may be calling you to have a child by adoption.

I love you and care about you so much. There is nothing more exciting in life than finding out that you are going to have a child, going through those months of preparing for the birth of your child, and then that incredible day you will never forget as long as you live when your baby is born. Of course, that is also the start of the most important job you will ever have in this life, raising your child. Let me close today with a special prayer of blessing for your baby, whether this baby is still in the womb or recently born, and for you to be the Godly parents God has called you to be.

“Father, I pray today for those precious babies who are still in the womb. I pray oh Lord that you will touch these precious lives and make their bodies healthy, their minds sharp, and their hearts tender towards the Lord. I pray oh Lord that you will bring forth these precious babies from the womb in your perfect timing and that these babies will grow and mature into mighty men and women of God should Jesus tarry in His return. For those babies and children, I pray oh Lord that you will protect them from the evils of this dark world. I pray oh Lord that they will be raised in the admonition of the Lord, in the strength of your Word, and become great men and women of God to lead your people in these last days. Father, I lift up the moms and dads of these children. Give them your strength, your wisdom, your discernment as they raise their children in the ways of the Lord. I pray oh Lord that you will guide them and help them to be the Godly moms and dads to their children you have called them to be. Bless their homes oh Lord, let the Sprit of the living God be present and make their home and lives great beacons of light in this lost and dying world I pray blessings on these babies and children, blessings on these moms and dads in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am praying for one person who can help me with a special gift to help cover that $1,000 shortfall today. Please take a moment and pray about how God is calling you to help me as we boldly and without shame share the Truth of God’s Word and lead the lost and hurting to faith in Jesus Christ!

God’s Healing Touch is Available to You Today

(Mark 5:25-34)

I know that a large percentage of people reading these words need God’s healing touch. Many of you are reading these words today in tremendous pain. Many of you are reading these words today as you face an upcoming surgery. Many of you are reading these words today as you deal with a serious disease. Many of you are reading these words today as you are trying to heal from a sickness or injury.

Every person reading these words today has a family member, friend, or someone you know who needs God’s healing touch. Let me say this very clearly, GOD IS STILL IN THE HEALING BUSINESS IN MAY OF 2012!

Out of the 40,000+ emails for prayer we receive every day here at Liveprayer, healing is one of the top 3 requests along with financial problems and relationship issues. Hundreds of thousand of the over 5 million praise reports we have received since we started Liveprayer nearly 13 years ago, are from people God has healed. Don’t forget, Jesus healed 10 lepers and only one came back to say thank you, so I have no doubt God has healed 10x more people who we never heard back from. GOD IS STILL IN THE HEALING BUSINESS IN MAY OF 2012!

As you read these words today I want to remind you of a great truth. GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS. What that simply means is what God has done for someone else, God will do for you. Please, let me say that one more time so you can let it sink into your Spirit. What God has done for someone else, God will do for YOU!!!

In the Bible, we read about the woman with the issue of blood. God’s Word tells us that she spent all of her money on the doctors of her day trying to get better without any success. Then one day she heard about a man name Jesus coming to her town that was doing great miracles, including healing people. With no other hope, she exercised that “measure of faith” each person has and began to believe Jesus could heal her.

We read how when she got to the place Jesus was ministering, a great crowd, the Bible calls it a “throng,” was already present. Now it would have been very easy for this woman to get discouraged after seeing all the people gathered around Jesus and simply give up and go home. But you see this woman was not going to be denied the opportunity to see our Lord, the One she was believing could heal her.

We read how she pressed through the crowd of people. I can picture this woman elbowing her way past people, pushing them out of her way, wading through this sea of humanity foot by foot until she was finally close enough to reach out and touch the hem of the garment Jesus was wearing. The Bible tells us that the moment she touched the hem of His garment she was instantly healed.

Please understand that there was nothing magical about what Jesus was wearing that day. His garment had no magical healing powers. It simply became a point of contact for her faith. She had the faith to believe as she stretched our her hand and grabbed the hem of His garment that she would be healed, and she was!!!

Let me share something exciting with you today. There is a powerful truth in the Book of Hebrews that tells us “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Listen to me carefully now. The powerful meaning of that truth for YOUR life today is simply this. The very same Jesus that healed that woman we read about in the Bible that had the issue of blood, is the very same Jesus that is here to heal you today.

I love you and care about you so much. My friend, as I come to you today I want you to know that not a day goes by I don’t see the healing power of Jesus Christ at work in people’s lives. Every single day I receive praise reports from people Christ has healed. If you need God’s healing touch in your body today, if there is someone that you know that needs to be healed, I want to encourage you to be like that woman with the issue of blood and exercise that “measure of faith” today.

Just like she reached out to touch the hem of the garment Jesus was wearing, you can reach out to Him today through prayer!!!

Stop what you are doing right now and call on the name of Jesus. Reach out to him IN FAITH ask Him to heal you or the one you love. As you do, remember that the very same Jesus you are crying out to today, is the very same Jesus that healed the woman with the issue of blood. He is no respecter of persons and what He did for her, He will do for you. As the healing virtue of Christ flowed through her body and she was made whole, Jesus looked at her and said, “go your faith has made you whole.”

I want you to know that I will be praying for you today. I will be standing in agreement with you today as you take that step of faith for God’s healing touch on your body or the body of the one you love. GOD IS STILL IN THE HEALING BUSINESS IN MAY OF 2012! May you hear Him say to you, “go, your faith has made you whole!!!”

In His love and service,

Getting a Battlel Plan from God

(1 Corinthians 10:13)

I share often about getting a battle plan from God to be victorious over the battles we face during this lifetime. Today I want to focus on the temptations we all face each day. It is giving into those temptations that end up putting us in the battles we eventually have to fight. So it is key to understand how to overcome the initial temptations, thus avoid having to spend so much of our valuable life fighting battles in our personal life which keep us from being the productive servants God has raised us up to be.

Hear this point clearly. If satan can’t get your soul, his next goal is to at least keep you so busy fighting personal battles. The more time you spend fighting personal battles, the less time you have to serve God. That is why overcoming temptation is so important.

The Bible clearly teaches us that evil comes from our heart. The actual progression is that it starts in our heart, moves to our mind, and is manifested in our actions. That is why “creating a clean heart” is so important. That is why it is important to stay in that deep, intimate, daily contact with the Lord so that what flows from our heart is pure and clean…since that is what dictates our actions.

Temptations flow from the sin and evil still in our heart, and then goes into our mind. It is in our mind that the temptation finds fertile ground to grow. Again, I have spoken many times how important it is to “renew our mind”, how important what we put into our mind on a daily basis is. It is in our mind that temptation grows and ultimately manifests itself in our actual conduct.

Today’s scripture is one of God’s special promises. God tells us that He will always provide us a path of escape. That path of escape occurs while the temptation is still in our mind. THAT IS THE TIME WE MUST OVERCOME TEMPTATION. Once we allow it to live in our mind, the die is cast and will ultimately result in our rebellious behavior.

There is not one person reading this that can say God didn’t give you a path of escape. The problem is, you chose to ignore it. Many times, He gives us many chances to escape, but we choose to keep going right through the stop sign, right through the red light, right through the barriers….and then wonder how we could have gotten into such a mess.

To overcome temptation, you MUST use the path of escape God gives you while that temptation is still in your mind. Once you decide not to use that path of escape, it is only a matter of time before that temptation actually results in rebellious conduct.

I love you and care about you so much. I know so many of you are fighting the battles of life each day. You are in very difficult situations. My goal is not only to help you overcome those difficult situations, but help you to avoid getting yourself in those circumstances in the future. Jesus loves you so much. Having walked this earth, He understands your weaknesses and has promised to help you to avoid the temptations of this life.

Your intimate daily contact with Him strengthens you, and your love and desire to live for Him give you the motivation to take that path of escape He offers and overcome temptation. You can count on my prayers, that you recognize each day the temptations this life offers and use the tools God has given you to live victoriously.

Think of the incredible peace, joy, and abundance this life can be when we are living for Him, serving Him, and not constantly wrapped up in those personal battles. May you be committed today to take that path of escape he offers the next time you face temptation, and live in the victory Christ won on Calvary!

Why Doesn’t Satan Just Give Up

(Revelation 20:10)

We know from Scripture that satan has read the Bible. In Matthew Chapter 4 when Jesus was in the desert fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, He was tempted by satan. During the temptation of Christ, satan quoted verses from the Bible to Jesus. Of course, being the great perverter that he is, he purposely misquoted the verses

So the logical question is, “Why doesn’t satan just quit, just give up?” Actually, the answer to that question can be found in our own rebellion to God. I think back on the 11-year period of rebellion in my life. There was rarely a day that I didn’t know deep down the way I had chosen to live was wrong. God continually tried to talk to me during those years, but I was not interested in listening.

You see, here is the problem with sin. When you have allowed sin into your life and are living in rebellion to God, SIN CONTROLS YOUR LIFE! Over time your heart becomes hard, you become blind to the truth, and you become a servant to sin. You actually start living for your sin. Your sin consumes you and becomes the number one priority in your life.

Deep down, you know you are wrong. Deep down, you know that you are in complete rebellion to God regardless how the enemy helps you to justify what you are doing. Deep down, you know there will be a huge price to pay but you are so lost in your sin you don’t care. You are like a car traveling down a narrow mountain road in the dark with no brakes. It is not a matter of if you end up crashing, only when, and how much damage will there will be.

This is what makes sin, living in rebellion to God so foolish. YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE AN ENDING AND IT WILL BE VERY UNPLEASANT. But you continue in your sin, in your rebellion to God anyway. THAT, is exactly where satan is at and why he doesn’t quit. Even though he already knows in the end he will lose and be cast for eternity in the Lake of Fire, he is committed to living in rebellion to God for as long as God allows it.

Here is the message that I am trying to bring home to you today my friend. If you are in bondage to sin in your life, if you are living in rebellion to God today, YOU DON’T HAVE TO CONTINUE! The good news for you today is that you can stop right now, go to God, ask Him to forgive you and not only be forgiven but cleansed from all unrighteousness. You don’t have to end up in the hospital, a rehab clinic, jail, or divorce court to stop living in rebellion to God. You can cry out to God today and find freedom from the bondage of whatever sin you are in.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize that many of you reading this today are trapped in sin and living in rebellion to God. Sin carries a very high price. The deeper you get, the higher the price. I pray that you will cut your losses right this moment and turn your heart and life back to the Lord. God loves you very much and is speaking to you through these words today. He will give you the strength to turn from your sin and back to Him if you will just ask Him.

Even though satan continues on his mission to “kill, steal, and destroy” despite knowing he is already defeated, you can turn from your sin and living in rebellion to God and start living in victory TODAY!!!

Helping Liveprayer as We Stand for Jesus Christ

(John 3:16,17)

Helping Liveprayer as we stand for Jesus Christ and HIS TRUTH in these last days! Will you help me urn this nation back to God and Biblical Truth, while leading the lost and hurting to faith in Jesus Christ? God has opened the door for Liveprayer to be back on secular TV, five nights a week, nationwide, starting September 1st. What an incredible door the Lord has opened for us, at such a critical time. Sadly, few these days are willing to go into the marketplace with the uncompromised Truth of God’s Word.

For 5 yrs, the Liveprayer TV program impacted hundreds of thousands of lives by dealing with the issues of the day from a Biblical worldview. Today, there is a dearth of God’s Truth available to the lost and hurting masses. Liveprayer has the history and proven results of changed lives by helping people deal with the problems in life from a Biblical perspective. Lives impacted for Christ and saved souls has been the legacy of our work for 20 years now!

In just 100 days, the power of God’s unadulterated Word will be helping to change lives and save souls around this nation. However, in the meantime, our daily work here at Liveprayer that is the foundation of our service to the Lord must continue.

Do you realize every 24 hours, this ministry reaches 2.4 million people worldwide with God’s Truth on the issues of the day and that people deal with in their lives? Every 24 hours, we receive 40,000 emails for prayer that our wonderful team of 700 retired pastors send personal responses to. Well over 70 million since we started Liveprayer 13 years ago. Most important, each week we see apx. 2,000 souls come to faith in Jesus Christ, over 600,000 since we started. Isn’t God great?

Between the Daily Devotionals, the Daily Video Message, the weekly Liveprayer Church service, apx 15 media interviews, Liveprayer puts on an incredible amount of unique content each day that no other minsitry with huge staffs produce. Most critical is that Liveprayer is one of the few places people can find God’s Word without filter, without compromise, and without fail each and every day!

As only God can do, we do all of this for just a bit over $1,000 a day! That is the budget of a local church with a congregation of 500 that meets once a week!!!

My biggest concern today is these getting through these next 110 days. Once we are on TV nationwide, we will bring a new audience to our daily work and a percentage of that audience will be new donors to help support all we do each day here at Liveprayer for the Lord. We still have to make up the last $5,000 of our April operations, cover our $40,000 May budget, and the $40,000 we need to operate in June, July, and August. That is a total of $165,000 over the next 100 days.

I am praying today for the Lord to send 1 person who can immediately help me with a special one-time gift of $5,000 to cover our April shortfall, and 160 people who can make the sacrifce to send a special one-time gift of $1,000. Obviously, whatever God lays on your heart to give is deeply appreciated, since the Bible teaches to give according to our ability to give. However, I know there is one person reading this right now who has the ability to send a special one-time gift of $5,000, and 160 who can send a special one-time gift of $1,000.

There is no better soil you can sow into than God’s work here at Liveprayer, and our track record of faithfulness literally 24/7/365 for 13 years now!!!

I am asking that you take a moment and pray right now about being one of the 161 I need to insure that between now and September 1st, all of our basic operational needs are met! God has always raised up a few to feed the many, since the widow gave her last meal to the prophet and the little boy fed the multitudes with a few loves and fishes. Will you make this sacrifice and stand with me today???

I love you and care about you so much. Together, we have done much through the years here at Liveprayer, however, our work is not finished. Our final work is underway, and the TV program starting in September is the final piece to help make that happen. We are going to do our part to change the spiritual course of this nation, to call this nation to repentant and back to God and His Truth, while leading the lost and hurting to faith in Jesus Christ.

I can’t do this alone. Will you stand with me and help me?

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
