Problems

(Deuteronomy 8:10; Psalm 100:4, Psalm 107:22)

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” – (Psalms 100:4 NIV)

You cannot turn on the news or pick up the newspaper without being bombarded by all of the problems and evil that exists in our world. Each day you are confronted by family members, friends, those you work with or go to school with, that are hurting and going thru a difficult time in their life. Ninety-nine percent or better of the over 40,000 prayer requests that come into Liveprayer every single day are people who are in pain, fighting the battles everyone fights during the course of their life. The fact is, we are all dealing with problems every day, that is simply part of life.

The worst thing that can happen is when we allow our problems to overwhelm us to the point we forget to be thankful to God. Never forget, no matter what your problems may be today, without God you would have no hope. He is your source of strength when you feel like you can’t go on. He is your source of encouragement when you don’t see any answers. He is your source of hope that tomorrow will be better than today. It is God who loves you when nobody else does, and it is God who will never leave you when everyone else has. In the midst of whatever your battles may be today, don’t forget to simply say, “Thank you God!”

I know this message today may seem very elementary, but it is amazing how when we are under the pressures of daily life, we can often forget the most basic truths. No matter what may be going on in our lives, God deserves our thanks because of who He is. He is God! He is the Creator of the heavens and earth. He is OUR CREATOR! He loves us unconditionally and cares about us so much. He has given us so many wonderful and special promises in His Word that we can count on. So never let the cares of this brief life keep you from taking the time each day to thank Him.

I realize as you read this, you may be facing a serious health issue, or your marriage may be in trouble, or you are dealing with a huge financial problem, or you need a job, or someone you love has recently died, or you are battling with some sort of addiction, or a myriad of other problems. It doesn’t matter what your problems may be. Take a few minutes right now, forget about your problems, and simply focus on God. Now, say THANK YOU GOD! Say it again. Again. Again. Tell God you love Him. Tell God you worship and adore Him. Forget about everything else for a few moments and simply concentrate on God and thank Him!!!

Listen, thanking God is not going to make all of your problems go away. What it will do is bring joy to your heart, peace into your life, and give you a renewed sense of hope as you face the day to day trials life may bring your way. Facing your problems, dealing with your problems become 100 times easier. You get blessed when you thank God! By getting so wrapped up in your problems and not taking the time to thank God you are missing blessings.

I love you and care about you so much. I am guilty so often of not taking the time I should each day to simply stop what I am doing and just spend some time thanking God. It is so easy to focus on what is wrong with our life, that we often forget how much is right with our life. We get so bound by our problems that we forget the simple act of saying thank you to God. Without Him, there would be no answers, no solutions to our problems and this life would have no purpose and be meaningless and hopeless.

I will be praying for you today. Do me a favor. No, do yourself a favor. Stop whatever you are doing right now. Take the next 3 minutes. That is 180 seconds. Use those 3 minutes to do nothing else but say thank you to God. Thank Him for His love. Thank Him for all the wonderful blessings He bestows on you each day. Thank Him for caring about you. Thank Him for all that He does for you each day. I can assure you that you have MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR! Take the next 3 minutes and spend it thanking God.

The Bible only gives us a brief glimpse of what our eternal existence will be like. One thing we know is that we will be worshipping God our Creator. Now is a good time to start doing that. Each day, we must take time out of our busy lives and simply spend it thanking God. We will always have problems in this life. That is simply a fact of living in this dark and evil world where so many people live their lives in rebellion to God. But the Bible tells us that when this brief journey is over, “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Make sure that no matter what your problems may be, that you never forget to take the time each day to say thank you to God!

Net Neutrality

(1 Peter 4:11)

Last December 21st, it happened. Net neutrality is simply a fancy name for the government controlling the content of the Internet! The freedom to proclaim the Truth of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is slowly being taken away . . . IN THE UNITED STATES! I really take no pleasure in saying, “I told you so.” It is amazing to go back over 12+ years of Daily Devotionals, and read the warnings I have shared with you regarding our ability to freely proclaim the Truth of the Bible and the Gospel message. I vividly recall countless emails telling me I was paranoid, this was the United States and this would never happen, and others who simply thought I belonged in a straight jacket.

Well, let me take a moment and tell you where we are in the final days of 2011. Look at television. When you go back to the 50s and 60s, even into the 70s, you had incredibly powerful programs that gave a Christian perspective of life, had great moral messages, and a family could sit down and watch together. I submit to you today that NONE of those programs would ever see the light of day if they were being presented to the TV executives of today. What you get on TV today is a steady diet of sex and violence, and storylines and characters that are in blatant rebellion to God and His Word!

For 5 years, the Liveprayer TV program that is now in its 8th year, aired on a CBS affiliate in Tampa, live for an hour, 5 nights a week. It was an incredibly controversial program because it dealt with the issues of the day and in people’s lives from a Biblical perspective. Two years ago, the self-appointed watchdog group of the Muslim community, CAIR, now the target of many Federal investigations for their ties to terror groups, intimidated CBS into taking the program off the air because they want to silence anyone in the media who has the audacity to tell the truth about their 1400 year-old false relgion leading the souls of 1.5 billion followers to hell.

You can still go to the Christian stations and preach to the choir, which is what 99% of Christians on TV do. After all, the lost on secular TV aren’t going to buy them new jet planes or help them live like rulers of small nations. So they completely abandon the marketplace and go into the “trough” where 99% of the viewers are already Christians.

However, if you want to take the hope and love of Christ to the masses via secular TV, you have only one option. That is to come up with $1 million a month and understand you will have to find those who truly want to see God’s Word spread to the lost and hurting masses to help fund it, since you will never find enough advertisers with the courage to be associated with such a program, nor can you beg for money each night since that is exactly what will turn off the very people you are trying to reach. Oh, and even with the money, you will still have a VERY HARD time finding a network who will carry the program!

Last year, the Senate passed the addition to the existing hate-crimes legislation to add gay, lesbian, and transgender people to that protected list. I have told you for many years now that it won’t be long before simply preaching against the sin of homosexuality from the Bible will land you in jail. President Obama, a strong advocate for the radical homosexual lobby, signed that bill and you will see very quickly how the gay community will use it as a hammer to silence people like myself who go into the marketplace and speak out against their sinful choice. They will claim that my speech induces people to violence towards homosexuals. This is how they will use this new legislation to try and silence anyone who speaks out regarding this sinful choice.

They will be very effective because you now have a generation of “faux” churches and pastors who actually support and glorify this sin. They make a mockery of Christ by doing so, but it also makes someone like myself who speaks out, look like a crazed hate monger who wants to see homosexuals beaten and killed. The reality is, we help men and women in bondage to this sin find deliverance and freedom through Christ every month. We minister to the broken lives of so many who have been bound by this sin. Yet, because we take a Biblical stand on this issue we are castigated and will be a very real target once this new legislation becomes law.

Lastly, we are now living in a day I feared would come, and that is when the government would determine what content will be on the Internet. The million-dollar phrase is “net neutrality.” You can Google it, read both sides of the argument, but let me sum it up for you. The ultimate goal is for the government to determine what content can be on the Internet. Instead of running Liveprayer from an actual office, I see a day very soon when I will be using special connections linked to servers in foreign lands, having to use creative technology to get the Daily Devotiaonl out each day. THAT DAY IS NOT FAR AWAY!

I love you and care about you so much. This is why I implore you daily to take your faith seriously. Speak out whenever you can. Don’t be shy about sharing God’s Truth with others. This is also why I challenge you to stand with me. God has given us a great platform to reach millions worldwide daily, and we MUST keep doing that while we still can. Will this become like China or North Korean where people like myself are put in prison for life, simply because I preach the Gospel? Not sure, but we are definitely heading in that direction. These are the last days, the time is short, our freedom to proclaim the Word of God and the love of Christ is disappearing right before our eyes.

WAKE UP!!! For the one or two people reading this today who God has richly blessed financially and who want to make a REAL impact with your life before your journey is over, contact me. You can give away millions to have a building named after you, but your only true lasting legacy are those lives you will impact for Christ for all eternity. Liveprayer has an 11 year track record of results, we have the proven pieces in place to literally turn this nation back to God and HIS truth in a matter of months if we had one person who could make a sacrifce of $1 million to help me fund the secular TV presence we need in the secular marketplace.

Preaching to the choir has proven to not change the spiritual course of this nation. However, we have proven over the years we have the way to not only impact hundreds of millions of lives, save souls, but turn our nation back to God. If you are that person God is speaking to, contact me at: bkeller@liveprayer.com and let’s make our life count for God and eternity!

Christmas is Five Weeks from Now

(Luke 2:1-20)

In case you haven’t checked the calendar, 5 weeks from yesterday is Christmas. Oh yes, I said Christmas. The Holy Spirit led me to write this message today so that you can start preparing to make this the best and most blessed Christmas of your entire life. It is important for me to share this special word with you now, well enough in advance of all that goes on during the Christmas season, so that you can take the steps necessary to insure this Christmas is the most special Christmas of your life.

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving and the Christmas season is in full swing. There will be the parties, the shopping, the food, the family and friends, the events at church, all leading up to Christmas morning. For most people, it is a very busy time of the year and no doubt Jesus will be mentioned and thought of during all of the hustle and bustle, but sadly not the real focus or attention. We get so busy “doing Christmas” that along the way we tend to lose sight of what this special time of year is really all about.

For most people every Christmas is about the same. You attend the various parties at work, with people you may share a hobby with, those in your neighborhood. Of course, there is always the shopping. Some start after Thanksgiving, others are shopping for Christmas now, and there are always those who do their shopping on December 24th. One of the highlights of the Christmas season is all the good food. It seems everywhere you go during this time of year there is an endless supply of scrumptious food to indulge in.

Obviously, Christmas would not be Christmas without family and friends. Each year it is the time of year for families to get together, for some the only time of the year they do, and catch up on each other’s lives. We often see those dear friends from the past during Christmas and have the opportunity to spend some time with them. No doubt one of the things that makes Christmas so special each year is being with our family and friends. Then there are the Christmas events at church. The great Christmas carols we sing during December, the Christmas cantatas, pageants, and plays every year. Those events at our church help to bring our hearts and minds back to the focus of what this season is really all about.

Christmas morning is always a special time in most homes. We are surrounded by our closest family members, enjoying special food, sharing presents, reliving the memories of Christmases past and making new memories. Yes, the parties, the presents, the food, the family and friends, the activities at church all make each Christmas a very special time of the year in our lives, even though most people do pretty much the exact same things each Christmas season.

That is why this Christmas I want to challenge you to make it the most blessed Christmas of your life ever. There is nothing wrong with the parties, and the presents, and the food ( just be prepared for all of the hours in the gym during January), being with family and friends, enjoying the activities at your church. The problem is that we get so busy in all of the activities of the Christmas season we tend to forget or not put enough emphasis on what this time of year is all about, and that is the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Sadly, it is easy to lose sight of Jesus in the midst of all that is going on in our lives and I want to help you make sure that doesn’t happen this Christmas.

I love you and care about you so much. I understand we ALL know the meaning of Christmas. The problem is we have heard the story of Christ’s birth so many times and we know in our head that Christmas is about Jesus, that we really don’t take the time we should each day during the Christmas season to let it sink into our hearts and get the full impact of the incredible miracle Christmas is.

This Christmas, I want to make sure that you stay focused each day in December on Jesus. This Christmas, I want to make sure that every day in December you are focused on the Lord and what really happened that first Christmas to change human history forever. I want to help you keep CHRIST in your Christmas so that it is the best and most blessed Christmas of your entire life!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Senior Saints

(Leviticus 19:32; Proverbs 23:22; 1 Timothy 5:1-2)

Senior saints are the most under-used and under-appreciated resources in the church today! I want to let you in on a secret. One of the great sources of strength, encouragement, and confidence that I have in my life and ministry, comes from hundreds of senior saints worldwide that pray for me every day. These are senior men and women who know God intimately because they have been walking with Him for decades. These are senior men and women that know every inch of the Throneroom of God because they have spent so much time there. These are senior men and women that have calluses on their knees from spending tens of thousands of hours over their lives in prayer. Knowing that these seasoned veterans of the faith are praying for me each day, is like the security blanket that Linus (of Peanuts fame) always carries around with him.

Sadly, many churches don’t give their senior saints the honor and respect that they are due. The reality is, that many of these men and women helped form the foundation of the church. When work needs to be done, they are always there. When projects need to be funded, you can always count on them. When the doors of the church are open, that is where you will always find them. The senior adults are the pillars of the house of God!

However, the greatest contributions that these men and women of God can make is in the SPIRITUAL LIFE of the church. They are great prayer warriors. They know that the altar is not for flower displays, but for people to come and travail before God. They have the experience with God to know that their prayers may not be answered in the first 30 seconds, and will “wait upon the Lord” until He does answer!

They know the Word of God. All you have to do is look at their Bibles to know that they have been read over, and over, and over, and over again! God’s Word is the “lamp” unto their feet. These aged warriors also have incredible wisdom about real life. They have lived 60, 70, 80, 90 years on this earth. They have seen and experienced everything that this life has to offer, both good and bad. The church needs to start tapping into the decades of walking with God and the real life experiences that our senior saints have to offer.

For those of you that are struggling with issues in your life today, here is my advice. Men, seek out an older man in the church that will agree to stand with you. Women, you need to seek out an older woman in the church that will stand with you. They can give you great wisdom about life, wise counsel for the problems that you are facing, not to mention call out your name before God each day.

The fact is, these senior men and women are LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES to be used by God. I have several special men in my life that I speak to every week. I spend a good part of my life talking, that is what God has called me to do. But I can assure you that when I am speaking with one of these Godly treasures, I shut up and listen, trying to be like a sponge and absorb all of their wisdom that I can.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray today that the church will recognize this incredibly valuable and underused asset that we have in the Kingdom. So many of our senior men and women have been asked to sit on the sidelines, when they still have so much to offer. I want to encourage the young adults today to love, honor, and respect those older men and women in your life, and MAKE TIME to spend time with them. The greatest gift that you can have in this life is wisdom. That is what you can gain from these senior saints, WISDOM!

Finally, let me say a word to those precious senior saints today. I have a special word for you today. GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH YOU! Let me say it again. GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH YOU! You are in a wonderful season of your life where God can use you to be a blessing to so many. You have lived lots of life, gained great wisdom over these many years, and now God wants you to share that wisdom with the next generation.

I read in the Bible how God used many men and women late in their life. The fact is, we NEVER stop serving the Lord. There is NO RETIREMENT from the work of God. So let me encourage you today to look for opportunities to share the great wisdom and experiences of your life with those of the next generation. Your greatest legacy will be in the lives that you touch for the Lord along your journey. God has given you the gift of many days on this earth, and I pray that you will share that gift with as many as you possibly can before God says that your work here is finished and calls you Home.

Thank you for your many years of service to our Lord. May all of us who follow you in the faith, be found as faithful as you have been in our Lord’s service!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

For Those who Love Football This is a Great Time of the Year

(Philippians 3:14)

For those who love football, this is a great time of the year. The high school, college, and professional seasons are well underway. Stadiums all over the country are packed with fans, teams are playing hard every weekend to become the champion of their league. For professional football fans, 32 teams are playing over the next few months to make the playoffs, where eventually one team will win the Super bowl, the ultimate prize in football.

The journey a professional football team starts in training camp, thru the pre-season, the 16 game regular season, and finally the playoffs, is full of ups and downs, it is full of peaks and valleys. Along the way players get injured, teams often change strategies, and many events lead to the ultimate success of the champion. The bottom line is the team that wins the Super Bowl must overcome adversity, work hard, and keep their eye on the prize.

I appreciate you allowing me to talk sports with you, a subject I have loved since I was very young. The spiritual application here is obvious. Our Christian life is a journey, a season if you will. There are many things to overcome along the way. We often have to change our strategy and gameplan at times. But through it all we MUST keep our eyes on the prize. We must not let the trials of life slow us down. It is important that even when things don’t work out today, we don’t give up and stay focused on the prize.

Unlike football, we don’t have to live life in our own strength. We have God on our side to give us wisdom, guidance, strength, and love to help us each step of the way. Unlike in a football game, where either team has a chance to win, God has already defeated our foe. Unlike a football game where you have to wait until the game is over to know the final score, we already know that in the end, if we know Christ as savior, WE WIN!!! How much easier should it be for us each day to keep focused on the prize when we know that no matter what, in the end, we will be victorious!

I love you, I care deeply about you, and God has placed me in your life to help you along your journey. My prayer for you today is that no matter what may be going on in your life, that you always keep focused on the prize. You can’t let the ups and downs of life keep you from your ultimate objective.

I truly believe that the Lord has allowed you to receive these Daily Devotionals to help keep you focused on the prize. It is so easy during the course of a day to lose sight of what we are really trying to accomplish. We get off-track much of the time which ultimately keeps us from the fullness of God’s blessings. Never forget that He loves you, and wants you to know and enjoy that love during this life and for eternity. God wants you to stay focused, to stay on track, and to keep your eyes on the prize.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

I Need Your Help

(John 3:16)

“This is Gina I emailed you awhile back asking healing for my cancer and I am just letting you know I went to the doctors on Tuesday and I have no more cancer. I had a lot of procedures done through out the whole Winter months if you remember this when I emailed you to tell you. PRAISE JESUS I AM HEALED.”

“My husband and I receive your Daily Devotional. Today’s was very special and although they are all very special I prayed for forgiveness of our sins and I do have Jesus Christ and the Holy Sprit in my heart and continue to pray daily for eternal salvation. I saw the Alter Call clip and prayed with you this morning for Jesus Christ to be my Savior and to forgive my sins. I am writing to you as you asked so that I may continue to be blessed and to be a loyal servant of God as he sends me whatever journey he has for me.”

This is a very different Devotional today, because we are at a critical juncture in the ministry of Liveprayer and I need each one today to pray about Liveprayer and what God is asking you to do to help me today. Every day, we receive emails like this from all over the world. All of that is made possible over 12+ years by friends like yourself. We’ve sent out just over 4,400 Daily Devotionals that began going out to a handful of people, that now are received by over 2.4 million people worldwide every single day.

We have received and responded to over 87 million email prayer requests. We have accumulated a Praise Report archive with over 6 million testimonies of God’s faithfulness. We’ve broadcasted the uncompromised Truth of God’s Word and the fact Jesus is the ONLY way on 1645 “live” TV programs on major secular network TV stations, seen by millions of people in Florida and around the nation since it debuted in March of 2003.

Most important of all, just over 600,000 souls we know of who have come to faith in Jesus Christ through Liveprayer!!!

As we head into the final weeks of this year, we need the Lord to move on the hearts of our friends so that we can finish this year with all of our basic operations current. My big concern is that we ended October right at $20,000 short of meeting all of our October bills. During the first 2 weeks of November, we have been able to pay that down to just $5,000. However, we also have to cover the $40,000 for November. With Thanksgiving next week, we lose about 7 days due to people traveling, to spend the holidays with family and friends. So I am very concerned, and need those who love the Lord and His work here at Liveprayer to help me!

On November 1st, we began our new Daily Video Message, a daily, unscripted few minutes that allows me to minister to you on various issues, give you an action step for the day, and pray for you. It has proven already toe be a powerful minsitry tool. The first week of December, my new book will be out, not for sale..but for FREE. It will be a call to Believers to come together as we proceed to lead this nation back to God and His Truth, and for the lost to come to faith in Jesus Christ.

Please be praying with me that by the end of today, we will have 3 people who can make a special one-time gift of $5,000 or more. The first $5,000 will clear up our October operations, and the other $10,000 to meet overdue operational expenses from November. I know if 3 people will make that sacrifce, the Lord will move on the hearts of enough people who can give $10, $20, $50, $100, or more, to insure we get the $30,000 balance of our November budget by the end of the month so we start December with all of our basic operational expenses current.

Over 12+ years, it has been friends like you who God has spoken to, friends who responded to that urging, that has enabled us to accomplish all we have for the Lord and impact literally tens of millions of lives worldwide. I am praying that God will speak to your heart to day about helping me, and that you will be obedient to His prompting.

My friend, I am counting on you today. I need to hear from you today. This is critical, and I desperately need your help. We are so close to seeing the fulfillment of all Liveprayer has been raised up to be. I don’t want to be slowed down at this critical time over a few thousand dollars. Will you reach down, make the sacrifce, and help me today??? Don’t expect someone else to do what the Lord is calling you to do. I desperately need you and will be in prayer for the Lord to move on your heart to help me!

If you are able to wire or overnight a gift, please contact me at bkeller@liveprayer.com and I will be happy to give you our wire or FedEx info.

TO GIVE A GIFT TO LIVEPRAYER, you can use your major credit card on our secure server at: http://www.liveprayer.com under the “Donation” link, you can give using your PayPal account using my email address: bkeller@liveprayer.com,or you can mail your gift to: Liveprayer, 6660 46th Ave. North, St.Petersburg, FL 33709.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
