Taking A Stand for our Persecuted Brothers and Sisters in Chirst in China

(James 4:17, 1:22)

“Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” James 4:17

Taking a stand for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in China. The spotlight of the world shined on China in 2008 as they hosted the Summer Olympics. While each day I challenge people of faith to witness to others, in China, men and women who know Jesus are being imprisoned, tortured, and even killed for telling others about Jesus. For most in the United States who know Jesus as their Savior, going to church is nothing special, some even view it as a great sacrifice. In China, it really can be a great sacrifice to go to church, since Christians are routinely thrown into prison, beaten, and even killed just for attending church services.

While the focus of the world was on China, the Chinese government did their best to show China as a wonderful place. You saw all of the “feel-good” stories showcasing their modern industries and economy. Sady, nobody had the guts to tell the truth about what happens to Christians in China, and the persecution they face for being a follower of Jesus Christ. I pray that one day very soon, the Chinese government will relent and allow the Chinese people to have access to Bibles and the Gospel without restriction, to have church and worship the Lord without interference or censorship, and to freely witness to others their faith in Jesus Christ.

James 4:17 is often referred to in theological circles as the sin of omission. The fact is, it is the sin most Christians commit each and every day. It is just as much of a sin in God’s eyes as a sin of commission such as adultery, murder, or any other sin. To not do the good we know we ought to, is just as much a sin as any sinful act we might commit. We simply don’t have the luxury of sitting back and watching unrighteousness and not speak out. We were first introduced to Saul of Tarsus in Acts Chapter 7 as he was committing the sin of omission, giving his approval to the stoning of Stephen as he held the coats of those who were stoning him to death. Even though he didn’t hurl one rock, he was as guilty as those who did by his silence as they killed an innocent man.

I have never been what someone would call a Christian activist. I appreciate those who are led to work in this area, but I have always taken the approach that true change is made one heart at a time. We can’t eliminate pornography from the Internet, but we can change the hearts of those who look at it. We will never win the mythical drug war by locking people up, seizing shipments of drugs, or burning the fields they are grown in. We win by changing the heart of the person who is using drugs. The way to ultimately stop abortion is by changing the hearts of the women who make the decision to kill their baby. So my approach has always been to attack the root of the problem, sin, and help people find a new life in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. However, I cannot sit back and watch things go on around me that are just absolutely wrong and keep silent.

So many Christians are content to sit on the sidelines, listening, watching, experiencing the fullness of the Christian life vicariously through others. One of the popular Christian magazines each month has become little more than an advertising vehicle for this Holy Ghost Conference, that Camp meeting of the Millennium, the annual Partners Only Crusade, Women’s meetings, Men’s meetings, and on, and on, and on. The point I want to make is that the people of God have gotten very fat and lazy with all of the Christian celebrities and the Christian entertainment that our culture has produced. Too many of God’s people have become lazy and more comfortable sitting on the sidelines watching, which was never God’s plan.

I am a big believer in education and listening to God’s anointed teachers of the Word to learn all we can. But while we are hearing the Word, we, also, must be DOING THE WORD! All of the commands in the Gospels, the Book of Acts, Paul’s letters, and the other New Testament writings were to be active participants in our faith-helping others, witnessing, teaching new believers. God gives spiritual gifts to His people to be active DOERS of the Word, not idle bystanders. He has given each one of His children gifts and abilities to help advance the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught in many parables that it is a sin to not utilize the gifts God has given you. I want to make sure you clearly understand today, that it is a sin to not use the gifts and talents God has blessed you with to serve Him.

That does not mean you have to quit your job and become a missionary to a third-world country, or sell everything to start a ministry. God may call you to do that. However, for most of His children, He has called you to serve Him exactly where you are today. It is no accident you live where you live, go to school where you do, work where you do, or recreate and shop where you do. God has placed you there strategically to be a light to others. The most effective way we can serve God is in our normal day-to-day life. Letting our Godly lifestyle be a living testimony to those we come in contact with. Helping those around us in a time of need. Getting involved in projects and ministries through our local church.

I love you and care about you so much. Please pray today for the Lord to bless our brothers and sisters in Christ living in China. Pray for those who bravely take the Gospel to that nation each day, literally risking their very lives to do so. I will be praying for you today, that these words will cause you to stop and reflect on your life. Ask yourself if you are on the sidelines or are actively living the Christian life God has called you to live. Are you using your gifts and talents for Him? Take inventory today of whether you are not only hearing the Word, but DOING the Word. I want to see you be all you can be and all God has called you to be for Him.

Remember, our greatest and most effective service is rarely those big things we may be involved in for the Kingdom, but the quiet, one-on-one ministry to someone who is hurting and looking for hope. Everyone who knows Christ can tell someone that Jesus loves them. Everyone that knows Christ can testify to what Jesus has meant in their life. Everyone who knows Christ can share the love and hope we have in Him with someone. Become a DOER of the Word and don’t be guilty of the sin of omission!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

God’s Judgment is Being Poured Out on this Nation

(Malachi 3:5, 4:1; Psalms 11:6; 2 Peter 2:9)

God’s judgment is being poured out on this nation. “Adolph: Obama and “Neville” Stupak. For you World War 2 history buffs, you may remember this classic meeting between German dictator Adolph Hitler and England’s Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. “Chamberlain took from his pocket a paper headed “Anglo-German Agreement,” which contained three paragraphs, including a statement that the two nations considered the Munich Agreement “symbolic of the desire of our two people never to go to war again.” According to Chamberlain, Hitler interjected “Ja! Ja!” (“Yes! Yes!”) as the Prime Minister read it. The two men signed the paper then and there. When, later that day, German Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop remonstrated with Hitler for signing it, the Führer replied, “Oh, don’t take it so seriously. That piece of paper is of no further significance whatever.” Chamberlain, on the other hand, when he returned to his hotel for lunch, patted his breast pocket and said, “I’ve got it!”

That sad historical meeting is exactly what I was thinking of Sunday as I watched Michigan Democrat Bart Stupak announced he and those in his coalition would vote “yes” for President Obama’s nationalization of the US healthcare system. Stupak and his group of 6-10 pro-life Democrats, had been holding out due to their concern over the fact Obamacare would use tax payer dollars for abortions. The Guttmacher Institute is the think tank for Planned “how to kill your baby” Parenthood, the world’s largest abortion provider. They have estimated that once enacted, abortions will go up by 30%! Sadly, Sunday afternoon Stupak got a Hitler-esque letter from President Obama in the form of an executive order assuring him that no federal funds would be used to pay for abortions.

Perhaps no nation that has ever existed in the history of the world other than Israel, has known the incredible blessings of God like the United States. In just 233 years, this nation has become the most powerful and prosperous nation in the history of the world. It is the hand of God that allows nations to rise, and to fall. God allowed this nation to rise up from nothing. He poured out His richest blessings on our country. Sadly, we have squandered those blessings, misappropriated them, and now must face God’s judgment.

I DO NOT say this lightly, and fully realize the magnitude of what I am sharing with you today. This nation began to decline in the mid 60’s. That decline continued throughout the 70’s. It intensified in the “me years” of the 80’s. The decline began to occur at warp speed during the 90’s, when even the President became a symbol of our decline. As we are now 10 years into the new millennium, we are in free-fall and I am sorry to say, things are never going to get better, only worse.

There are 7 key factors that has brought our nation to this time of God’s judgment. First, is the Federal Government legalizing the killing of innocent babies. In the 30 years since abortion was legalized, there have been over 40 million babies killed, app. 1.3 million each year, around 4,000 every single day.

Second, is the bold, unrepentant, unashamed, gross sexual perversion that exists in our nation today. From those who choose homosexuality, to the epidemic of sexual activity outside of marriage starting as young as 12, to the ever increasing numbers of men and women who commit adultery, to the unrestricted pornography industry, to those who proudly engage in every type of sexual perversion that man has ever dreamed of.

The third factor is the millions who have rejected the God of the Bible to follow the false gods of the world. The fastest growing religions in our country are the cults like the Muslims, the Mormons, the Scientologists, and the various New Age movements. They have preyed on the 2 plus generations in our nation that have for the most part never been to church, and during those difficult times in their life are seeking answers. Sadly, they have believed the lie from satan instead of the Truth of God’s Word.

Fourth, is the abandonment of Israel. Genesis 12:3 is still in effect today! Even though the U.S. gives billions in aid each year to Israel, the current “roadmap” is helping to give away the land that God promised to the children of Israel to their enemies.

Fifth, is the destruction of the family. A Godly family consisting of a man and a woman that both love the Lord and have only been married to each other, with children that love and honor God, is the exception today, rather than the norm that it once was. Marriage is no longer God’s holy institution, but little more than a legal date. Divorce damages the lives of both spouses and the children involved. A large percentage of children now grow up in unstable homes where God is never mentioned, and go on to have unhealthy relationships and children of their own, that also grow up in unstable homes void of God.

The sixth factor is the media. Satan has full control over 99% of the media (the 1% being the Christian media), and there are no longer ANY constraints on what can be produced. Between television, films, music, the Internet, video games, and publications, you can access an unlimited amount of whatever type of filth, garbage, perversion, and disgusting deviant behavior that you want 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, right from the comfort of your home.

The seventh and final factor is the apostate church. The church today is more interested in programs than people, in building great structures instead of great men and women of God, in entertaining people rather than encouraging them. The church has compromised the absolute truth of God’s word in order to be politically correct, and is more concerned with people’s money than their souls. The spiritual leaders of this nation are NOT supposed to be President Bush and politicians, NOT supposed to be Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and musicians, NOT supposed to be Oprah and other TV stars, NOT supposed to be sports heroes, NOT supposed to be Hollywood entertainers. They are supposed to be the men and women of God that He has raised up and called to be a BOLD, LOUD, CLEAR voice for His TRUTH, not just from the pulpit of a local church, or in a great convention of Christians, BUT IN THE WORLD THAT WE LIVE IN!!!

I love you and care about you so much. My heart is broken over having to share such a word like this. If we think that any of these 7 factors are going to change, we are simply being naive. Things are NOT ever going to go back to the way they used to be. To not expect God’s judgment on such blatant and gross rebellion is also very naive. God will not be mocked. You cannot live in rebellion to God and not pay the price in your personal life, and we cannot live in rebellion to God and not pay the price as a nation. But here is the good news. GOD ALWAYS HAS A REMNANT! GOD ALWAYS HAS A PEOPLE! Despite whatever judgment He pours out on our nation, there will always be a group of people that will never bow their knee to Baal!

I will be praying for you today. I pray that you will be part of God’s remnant in these last days. I pray that you will embrace the opportunity that we will have as the people of God to share the hope and love of Christ with the hurting and the lost. We are going to have incredible opportunities to see great numbers of souls won for the Kingdom. I want to encourage you today. God has raised up Liveprayer for this moment in human history. God gave me the vision for the Jonah Project last July. It is in place, we are adding people daily, and now it is your opportunity to take a real stand for Christ. God is calling you today, wants to use you today to help bring revival to this nation. yes, eventfully we will be judged for our sins and wickedness, but I believe we can stay God’s hand of judgment just like Nineveh did.

Over 120,000 souls were saved in Nineveh because they turned to God! I believe that we can see millions repent and turn to God in the wake of this revival. You can keep living your life, taking care of yourself, or you can sacrifice your life and allow God to use you for His glory. When you come to the end of your life, it is not what you did for yourself that will matter, but what you did for God. Read that again. When you come to the end of your life, it is not what you did for yourself that will matter, but what you did for God.

Please pray today about signing up and being part of the Jonah Project, God’s vehicle to lead this nation back to Himself, to His Truth, and millions to faith in Christ. Go to: http://www.liveprayer.com/jonah and watch the 7-minute vision video, get sign up. Also, get this Devotional to everyone that you know and share the link to the Jonah Project with every person you can communicate with. This is the answer for this nation and for millions of people who are looking for answers and hope in their life. The battle for the souls of this nation is not lost yet, and by turning back to God and His Truth it can be won!!!

Let me leave you with the incredible words from Hebrews 11:13-16, and pray that one day men will say this about you and I. “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country–a heavenly one.

President Clinton said, “I think I Did Something for the Worst Possible Reason, Just because I Could

(Deuteronomy 26:16; Joshua 1:8; Exodus 19:5; Deuteronomy 5:29; Revelation 22:14)

In an interview with Dan Rather on 60 Minutes prior to the release of his book a few years ago, former President Bill Clinton made a very profound statement in regard to his affair with Monica Lewinsky. President Clinton said, “I think I did something for the worst possible reason-just because I could.” I think that’s the most . . . just about the most morally indefensible reason that anybody could have for doing anything. When you do something just because you could. I’ve thought about it a lot. And there are lots of more sophisticated explanations, more complicated psychological explanations. But none of them are an excuse.” Amen!

Every day I deal with the very real lives of very real people who have made the conscious choice to sin against God. Men and women. Those who are rich and those who are poor. People of all ages. Regardless of what the sin is or the circumstances involved, the bottom line is that it was a choice that person made to disobey God . . . because they could! You see, God gave man free will to make choices, otherwise we would be nothing more than robots. Every day, many times throughout the day, we make the choice to obey God or disobey Him.

I will never forget-when I was 10, the first time I was allowed to stay home all by myself. It might have been 20 minutes after my mother was gone that I realized she was not around to see what I was doing. We had certain rules on what time we could have snacks and what we were allowed to have. As I was watching television, I remembered thinking that since mom wasn’t home, she wouldn’t know if I had an extra snack. So I went to the kitchen, into the pantry where the cookies were, went to the refrigerator and poured myself a big glass of milk, and sat down at the table and for the next 15 minutes ate cookies.

I will never forget to this day knowing deep down inside as I was getting the cookies out of the pantry that what I was doing was wrong. I am not even sure if I was really that hungry or wanted the cookies. It really boiled down to the fact I was all alone, nobody was there, and I COULD. Oh, something else about sin, it ALWAYS leaves a mess. Of course, I did my best to put the cookies back exactly where I got them ( not thinking that there were now about a dozen fewer), did my normal poor job of washing the glass I used for the milk and put it back in the cabinet ( still dripping), and cleaned the area of the table I used (but not the floor underneath).

A few hours later at dinner, I remember that I was not very hungry. Normally I would clean my plate in minutes and be begging for more. But this night, I had a hard time eating all of my food and had to force down the last few bites. I remember the guilt as my mother asked me several times why I was not hungry and giving her some lame excuse about not feeling well. It was later that evening as I was getting in bed that my mother and father came into my room. As a child, you always know when mom and dad come to see you right before you go to bed, something is wrong.

My mother asked me how things went being in the house all alone. I told her everything went fine. She asked me what I did. I told her I watched television. She asked if I did anything else, and deep down I knew that somehow she knew I had eaten the cookies. The guilt was already more than I could bear so I told her that I was hungry and decided to eat some cookies. My father then got involved and asked me if I realized that when I was eating the cookies, I knew that I was breaking one of the house rules since it was not snack time. I told him that I did and I was sorry. He went on to explain to me that one reason they had such a rule was so that me and my brothers would be hungry for dinner and have a good balanced diet. The rule was not to keep us from enjoying cookies but to keep us healthy.

They told me how disappointed they were and asked me if I was sorry for what I had done. I assured them that I was. My father then told me that I would not be allowed to watch any football that weekend and would have some extra chores to do around the house. Before they left, they prayed for me. I remember laying in my bed that night, thinking how those few cookies weren’t worth having my parents disappointed in me, and it sure wasn’t worth having to miss football that weekend. I was mad at myself for doing something I knew that I shouldn’t, just because I could.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize a 10-year-old boy eating some cookies he was not supposed to while being home alone is not what most would consider a horrible thing to do. The fact was we had rules in our home about when we were allowed to eat snacks, I consciously chose to break that rule, did a poor job of trying to cover it up, was caught, and had to pay a price for my choice to disobey. In looking back, I wasn’t starving to death, I really didn’t even want to eat the cookies that bad. As much as anything it was an opportunity for me to rebel and do something I knew I wasn’t supposed to, if for no other reason than BECAUSE I COULD!

The fact is, my parents rule on snacks was there to make my life better, not worse. So often we look at God’s “rules” in the Bible as being there to keep us from having fun in life when in fact, they are there to insure we have fun in life. When we choose to disobey God, there are always consequences, always a price to pay. After we sin, the first thing we do is try to cover it up. Adam literally did that after his sin by making some crude clothes to cover up his body. We are foolish to even try to cover up our sin, since God sees everything that we do. Sin always involves others. We don’t sin in a vacuum. Sin is like throwing a pebble into a still lake, watching the ripples of that initial pebble expand out further and further. When you choose to sin, others will always be affected in some way. Sadly, sin always carries a price tag greater than we ever wanted to pay. Sin costs my friend, and costs much more than you ever imagined.

I will be praying for you today. The reality is, every day, many times throughout the day, you have the choice to obey God or disobey Him. I pray that in the coming hours of this day, these words will ring in your heart and mind as you are faced with the opportunity to obey God. I pray that you will understand that sin simply isn’t worth it. Sin carries consequences, obedience carries blessings. What do you want today in your life, consequences, or blessings? Instead of having to say I sinned because I could, let your testimony be I obeyed God BECAUSE I COULD!!!

So Many Times I see Christians with Long Faces, Head Down, Shoulders Slumped, Looking like the Fans of a Football Team that just Lost the Big Game

(Psalms 126:5,6)

So many times I see Christians with long faces, head down, shoulders slumped, looking like the fans of a football team that just lost the big game. Often when I talk to other believers, they tell me that life is rough and serving God seems like a trip to the dentist for a root canal. Is it any wonder why those who are without Christ aren’t real excited about “serving God.”

I’ll tell you a secret that has worked well for me over the years. When I am in trouble. When I have many problems all around me. When the enemy is attacking on all sides. My first response is to pray, then to get busy serving God. I am a firm believer that if we are about His business, He will be about our business. If I am serving Him, He is serving me. That doesn’t mean everything goes away and disappears. It isn’t magic. But it works because when our focus is on others, it allows God to work on those things in our life only He can fix.

The key in service though is to serve with joy! Serving others should not be a task, but something we should look forward to and are joyful about. Joy is infectious. It spreads to others. Serving without joy almost makes your service ineffective. How many times have you eaten at a restaurant where the waiter or waitress was unpleasant. At times, you almost wish you could just get the food yourself and not have to even deal with them because of their bad attitude.

Serving others should be a joyful experience, if for no other reason, because it is what God expects from us. When you focus on why you are here, to serve and glorify God with your life, it should make you joyful because you are fulfilling the purpose for which God created you.

I am going to leave you with these thoughts today to ponder and pray about. Do you serve with a joyful heart? Do people see your service as something you do grudgingly or something you do joyfully? Joy is something you can’t buy and something most people long for each day.

Have joy if you know Christ because your eternal destination in heaven is established. Have joy when you serve Him because that is part of the reason God created you. Show those you serve joy because they will have a desire to know the kind of joy you possess, and you can use the opportunity to tell them that kind of joy only comes from knowing Christ as your Savior.

I love you and am praying for you today. Never think it is a burden when you email me your special prayer requests. It is a joy on my part to serve you. It is no accident you are reading this devotional, it is no accident that God is speaking to you about the problems you are facing. God can speak to us in many ways, through many people. I am hear to help you, pray for you, and see you be victorious over the things in your life keeping you from enjoying all of the rich blessings God has in store for your life. Let this day not only a time of joy, but let that joy be part of your life each and every day!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

The Thing that has Puzzled Me for So Long is Why So Many Who Know Christ as their Savior Seem to be Ashamed of Him

(Romans 1:16)

One of the things that has puzzled me for so long is why so many who know Christ as their Savior, seem to be ashamed of Him. I ask that question because there really could be no other explanation why we, the people of God, His church, are so afraid of telling this world that Jesus Christ really is the ONLY way, the ONLY truth, the ONLY life. I watch this world promote itself each and every day. Slick Madison Avenue ad campaigns, incredible marketing efforts, a blatant boldness about things that have no redeeming qualities to them at all.

The world is not ashamed of the things they believe in and go to extraordinary measures to get its message to the masses. Yet those of us who know Jesus Christ in the pardon of our sins, seem to be content to sit back and keep this life transforming information to ourselves. The only conclusion I come to is that we either don’t really believe what we say we believe in, or we are ashamed to be identified as followers of Christ.

Let me say here, that there have been many, many bold servants of the Lord who have gone out to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in a very visible way. Many people have a personal relationship with Christ today because of their boldness. Which is exactly the point I am making. The Kingdom needs more people to get serious about promoting Jesus in a bold and visible way to the world at large. A popular beer company has created a fad with their ad campaign of friends greeting each other in a special way . . . whats up?. That is an example of a marketing campaign to promote their product to the public at large, and trust me, it has worked.

I am not suggesting that the church needs to do anything off base or gross to promote the Gospel, but we need to be sensitive to the culture we live in and be able to get our message to the masses in an effective way. Listen, this is not a test run; we get one very short opportunity here in this lifetime. When it is over it is over. Why should we be holding back? Why should we be hanging onto the absolute TRUTH of God’s Word like some classified government secret that we leak out in drips and drabs. It is time to get bold, creative, and fearless in sharing our faith with this lost and dying world.

One of the things that has upset me more than anything over the last 10 years has been the psychic hotlines. Here is something the Bible clearly says is rooted in the pits of hell itself. The companies promote these services as an “answer to your problems”. There are so many people out there hurting and going through difficult times, people in many cases the church has totally missed, and they become sitting ducks.

Not only do they get into bondage to this garbage, but, of course, end up in financial troubles from all of the money they pay for these “answers.” The church of Jesus Christ has the one TRUE answer, and we sit passively and watch this happen. This is wrong, and we are going to be held accountable by God for possessing the truth and not sharing it with this world that is hurting and in search for answers in their lives.

I want this message today to really make you think personally, about what you can do to be a bold witness for Christ. God has blessed so many of you with great talents and gifts to be able to reach the lost. We do a fair job of internal maintenance, but the job of the church is not to just maintain the saints, but to go out and bring people to Christ. God is looking for boldness among His people. He is looking for creativity among His people. It is time to quit hiding our candle under the bushel, but hold it proudly for all the world to see.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray today that you will be challenged and encouraged since we each have a responsibility for getting His message out to the world. Let’s not be ashamed of the Gospel, but proud of it. We need to be boldly visible in every facet of society. Next to the slick ad campaign for the newest snack food needs to be a slick ad for people to know more about this guy called Jesus.

In the magazine promoting the newest make-up, needs to be an ad for helping others like Jesus did. We need to be creative and bold to proclaim to this lost and dying world that Jesus is THE answer. I pray today that the Lord will inspire you, open your heart and mind, and use you to help bring forth to this hurting world the love and hope we know in His son Jesus Christ.

Never forget that I am here for you in your time of need. Don’t ever hesitate to contact me so that I can be in prayer for you and your situation. Many of you have issues and questions that you need answered, and I will do my best to get you sound, Biblical direction to help you. The Bible tells us to bear each others burdens, so always know that I am here to help share yours. Jesus loves you and wants to bless you in ways you cannot begin to imagine.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Who is Right between Religious Left Sojourners Jim Wallis and Mormon Cult Leader Glenn Beck

(Matthew 7:21-23)

Who is right in the debate between the religious left Sojourners President and CEO Rev. Jim Wallis and Mormon cult member Glenn Beck? Last week, Glenn Beck called for a boycott of churches that use “code words” like “social justice,” which he equated to communism and fascism. He later amended that code as referring to “big government.”

I did a 5 part series in December that made the case Mormon’s Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck are trying to fulfill Mormon prophecy by turning the United States into a Mormon theocracy. Think I am out of my mind? You can find this series in the Daily Devotional Archives on the Liveprayer.com website by typing in keyword Beck.

As I also warned you years ago, Beck is using his fame and fortune as a right wing political commentator on radio and TV to help lead people to his satanic Mormon cult. With the better part of two full generations having never been to church, those who agree with Beck’s political ideology are prime candidates to be proselytized into the Mormon cult. With his increasing fame and impact on millions of lives, he gravitates more and more to “faith,” which to him is the false teaching of Joey Smith’s Mormon cult!

Wallis responded to Beck’s comment on social justice by saying, “Beck says Christians should leave their social justice churches, so I say Christians should leave Glenn Beck. I don’t know if Beck is just strange, just trying to be controversial, or just trying to make money. But in any case, what he has said attacks the very heart of our Christian faith, and Christians should no longer watch his show. His show should now be in the same category as Howard Stern. Stern practices pornography and Beck denies the central teachings of Jesus and the Bible. So Christians should stop watching the Glenn Beck show and pray for him and Howard Stern.

Wallis is a longtime socialist advocate and founder of a far-left magazine, Sojourners, that has championed communist causes. He currently serves on Obama’s White House Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He reportedly is a spiritual adviser to Obama and has known the President for years. Wallis began his activism as a protester and then later Michigan leader of the Students for a Democratic Society, the 1960s anti-war group from which Bill Ayers’ Weatherman domestic terrorist organization splintered

I have warned you many times in the past about Jim Wallis. He is part of the new and emerging “Christian left” that men like Rick Warren are part of. The “religious left” is a relatively new term so you may not be familiar with it. That is why I felt it was so critical to take the time today to insure you not only understood what it means, but who actually makes up this new group of people. Forty years ago, this group didn’t even exist. They have actually evolved and grown tremendously over the past decade. The “religious left” is made up of people who identify themselves as Christians and hold strong religious beliefs as well as sharing left-wing ideals. Obviously, this group has risen up in opposition to those who have been tagged the “religious right” or the “Christian right.” The “Christian right” is that group of Bible-believing Christians who are politically active and seek to elect to office those candidates who hold to Biblical values on the key spiritual issues of our day that are also political issues.

These would be issues like abortion and life related matters, gay marriage, family issues, the proliferation of the pornography industry, and the drive to remove God from the public square. Those in the “religious left” actually take an anti-Biblical position on these issues and are also heavily involved in the ecumenical movement, environmental issues, opposing war for any reason, world hunger, and social issues like welfare, and education, and….HEALTHCARE!

There is nothing wrong with pursing these noble social issues, Believers should be more involved on those fronts. The problem with this group is their anti-Biblical position on the key spiritual issues of our day and their involvement in these ecumenical movements that require you to set aside the Absolute Truths of the Bible.

How can you say you are a person of faith, yet vote to support the legalized slaughter of over 4,000 innocent babies every day? How can you say you are a person of faith, yet vote to redefine God’s Holy Institution of Marriage? How can you say you are a person of faith, yet support special rights for people who have chosen to engage in perverted sex acts God calls an abomination, including their ability to adopt children into their deviant lifestyle?

I guess the real question becomes, what is their faith really in? It is inconsistent to say you are person of faith yet continually take a stand in complete opposition to God’s Word. Jesus said that if you love Me, you will obey Me. That means His Word. Of course, those in the “religious left” has been born out of the liberal “churches” of our day who make a mockery of Christ as they operate in open rebellion to the Truth of the Bible while claiming to be followers of Christ.

They support the legalized slaughter of babies, redefining marriage to include men with men and women with women, perverting the family by brining children into homes with homosexual parents, and embrace ecumenical fellowships with all of the cults and false religions of the world. They deny the inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible, have rejected God’s Word for the Absolute Truth it represents, and have bought into the lie of the world that there are “many roads that lead to God.” These are the people who make up the “religious left!”

I love you and care about you so much. The bottom line, both Wallis and Beck are WRONG!!! To Beck, social justice means something nefarious when in fact it is supported by the very Bible Beck rejects for the Book of Mormon. To Wallis, it is a perversion of the Gospel since the Bible DOES teach social justice, but it also teaches personal responsibility. You can’t pick and choose what you beleive, since God has already given us the Truth in the Bible. As Christians we must care about our fellow man. However, you can’t stand for social justice and NOT stand for life, marriage, cry out against sexual perversion like homosexuality, and other key social issues that Wallis and those in the religious left take an anti-Biblcial position on.

Glenn Beck is easily identified as an enemy of the God of the bible for his free will choice to follow the teachings of the satanic Mormon cult. Jim Wallis is even more dangerous since he identifies himself as a Christian, yet refuses to embrace the Absolute Truth of the Bible. In this culture we live in in the year 2010, as the Truth of the Bible has been watered down, and the cults and false religions flourish, now more than ever true followers of Jesus Christ MUST stand up and be heard!

Your friend and brother in Christ,

A Hammer is a Tool Designed to Perform a Certain Job

(Proverbs 22:6; Deuteronomy 6:7; 1 Timothy 3:4; 2 Chronicles 17:3)

A hammer is a tool designed to perform a certain job. There is nothing evil about a hammer. However, some may choose to use a hammer in a perverted way. This does not mean that hammers are bad, or you should never own a hammer, it simply means that you should be aware of how this tool can be misused. The same is true about the Internet. It is a tool designed to perform a specific job. There is nothing evil about the Internet, though some have chosen to use it in an evil way. This does not mean you should not have the Internet, only that you need to be aware of its dangers, especially when it comes to your children.

The Internet is NOT a cyber babysitter and any parent who treats it as such might as well drop their children off at the local adult bookstore, the hangout of a local street gang, in the middle of a busy freeway at rush hour, a casino in Vegas, or the child sex offender unit at some prison. I am always amused at parents who will spend thousands to have the best locks and security systems in their homes to protect their children from the dangers of the world, yet through high-speed modems give their child access to the world with a few keystrokes, and worst of all, give ANYONE IN THE WORLD ON A COMPUTER access to their children!

For you moms and dads out there, it is IMPERATIVE that you not only monitor, but KNOW what your child is doing online. Forget filters, a 7-year-old can get around most filters. You need to invest $50-$60 in the monitoring software that currently exists which literally tracks every website, every email, every instant message, and every keystroke your child makes while online. You need to sit down with them and let them know that you have this software installed and why. This is about their protection and insuring they don’t fall into the many traps and pitfalls of the Internet.

As a side, I wonder how many adults would be willing to have this software on their computer for their spouse to monitor? Not trying to start trouble, just asking a question. I have dealt in the past about the dangers of the Internet for adults and will continue to sound that trumpet of warning in the future.

Every single day, I get several thousand emails from parents about their children and the Internet. Teenage boys and girls and even children as young as 12 who are in bondage to Intent porn. Kids who steal their parents credit cards to gamble online. Children from 14 and up who meet adults in chatrooms or message boards and end up meeting them for real. Kids who are lured to websites that explore the darkest and most evil things you can imagine. Social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook where kids can create their own websites and blogs.

Listen, at some point you do have to trust your child. When they leave home, at that point you need to trust that spiritual foundation you have laid in their life, pray for them, and commit them into the Lord’s hands. However, as long as they live under your roof you have every right and responsibility to watch over them and protect them, and that includes monitoring their Internet use. By the way, if you have a 22-year-old son who doesn’t like his mom and dad knowing everything he does on the Internet, maybe he should start thinking about growing up and getting out on his own.

*As a parent, you MUST not only protect your children as long as they are under your care, but insure your home is not being defiled with the filth and garbage that is available 24/7 on the Internet.

So what do you do? First, pray. Pray for God to protect your child from the dangers that exist on the Internet. Second, do some homework and purchase and install monitoring software that will allow you to monitor all of your child’s activity on the computer. Third, sit down with your child and not only explain to them about the monitoring software you have installed, but why. This is the time to have a real, open and honest discussion with your child about the Internet and all of the dangers that exist.

THIS IS NOT PARANOIA! The dangers that exist are very real. Porn, gambling, and other destructive websites DO NOT CARE that it is your child they are trying to lure to their site. Internet predators are very sophisticated in how to gain your child’s trust and confidence so they can exploit them for their own personal satisfaction. There are literally hundreds of thousands of websites that can be accessed with simple search commands which deal with every perversion the human mind has imagined. Chatrooms, message boards, and personals’ sites like MySpace give your children access to other children and adults who can introduce your child to every evil and darkness that exists in this world.

I love you and care about you so much. The Internet is part of our world and is here to stay. It is a tool for children and adults to use to get information and used correctly can be a great resource. Every day for over 10 years now, Liveprayer has used the Internet to reach millions of people all over the world with the Truth and God’s Word and the hope and love of Jesus Christ. Because of the Internet, we have seen over 400,000 souls we know of come to faith in the Lord. So it has many great and wonderful applications.

Like everything, it can also be used in a negative and destructive way. Parents simply need to be aware of the incredible dangers that exist on the Internet so they can take the steps necessary to insure their children are safe. The Internet is another opportunity for parents to talk to their children openly and honestly about many of the issues they will face in life. It is these opportunities a parent needs to take advantage of to teach their children what God says about these issues and why God’s way works. This is all part of that building process so that when your child eventually does leave home and is making choices without you, they can make wise and Godly choices, not based on the momentary desires of their flesh, but on what God’s Word says.

I will be praying for you today as God speaks to you about this issue. This is not something to put off for a few months, but an issue that needs to be addressed TODAY! Even as you read these words, you have no idea who your child is speaking to over the Internet, what types of personals’ sites your child may have, or what websites your child frequents. I believe in my heart that this message is going to literally save the lives of many children. I tell you often that your children are the greatest ministry you will ever have.

I am praying for every mother and father as they take control over this potential danger in their home and child’s life. May God give you wisdom and guide you in protecting your children from the dangers of the Internet. I also pray for those children who have already been damaged by the Internet. May the Lord bring healing to their lives. The Internet is a wonderful tool that can be a blessing or a curse. I pray today that for you and your family it is a blessing!

In His love and service,

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
