Back to school

(1 Chronicles 16:11)

Back to school. It is that time when another school year is about to start. Most
who read this Devotional are ready to start another year of High School or College…or have children getting ready for another academic year. Some of you are teachers . It is a busy time. Students are juggling schoolwork, outside activities, church, and in some cases work as well. Parents are busy with work, taking care of the home, as well as being involved in their children’s lives. It is hectic, it is stressful, and just getting from one day to the next can be a challenge. Today, I have a very special word for all of the young adults getting back into school, for the teachers, as well as for the parents.

THE KEY TO EACH DAY IS YOUR DAILY TIME WITH THE LORD. I
suggest that you start the day, even if it means getting up 30 minutes early, and spending time in prayer and the Bible. It strengthens your personal
relationship with Christ. It is the best way possible to start a new day. It gives you
strength and focus throughout the day. It is also a spiritual insurance policy. During your busy day, you will face many challenges. You will be making many decisions. Having that daily time with the Lord first thing will help you meet the challenges of life in His strength, not yours, and help you make wise, Godly decisions. There is nothing more important that you can do each day than start it in prayer and the Word!

One of the big problems in day to day life is we often live it in our own strength, apart from the Lord. The Bible tells us to “pray without ceasing.” There are many ways to interpret this verse of Scripture. One very real and practical meaning is literally, to pray without ceasing. Once I talk to the Lord in the morning, I never sign-off until that night before I
go to sleep. I am “online” ALL DAY. I talk to the Lord throughout the day about all of the issues I face. I realize without Him, I can do nothing. When I am weak, He is strong. This not only keeps me focused on Him, what He wants, how He wants me to act, the choices He wants me to make, but it keeps me from letting the problems of normal day to day life get me down.

I love you and care about you so much. I know this is a busy time for most of you. A time of challenges for those still in school at any level. A time of challenges for you moms and dads out there. A challenging time for the teachers. In spite of the hustle and bustle of your daily lives, never, never lose sight of two things. First and most important is our purpose in this life. To serve and glorify Him. It is no accident that you are going to school where you are, involved in the activities you are. God has opened these doors so that you can be a light to those still in darkness. Never forget, your loudest witness to non-believers is not what you say, but how you live your life. Second, is your daily focus on Christ. This is the key to staying balanced and on track in the midst of all the many things you do each day. It is what keeps you on track, so that God can use you to be a blessing to others.

I will be praying for you. Some of you are in new schools. Some of you are facing big challenges this year. Many of you parents are challenged by the finances and other aspects of your children’s educational experience. Many of you teachers are dealing with complicated issues. For most it can be a very difficult time. However, it can also be a very rewarding time. Never forget that each day God gives us is a gift from Him, and is to be used wisely. Make the most of it.

It is no accident that you are where you are at right now. God ordained it. So work hard and accomplish all that you can. Don’t settle for anything less
than your best. God gave His very best, and expects us to do the same. We only
get one life, one opportunity so make the most of it. While we enjoy the abundance this life can offer, we must also never forget that we are here to serve
Him. Make the Lord proud of you as you live each day for Him and let your light shine
bright for all around you to see.

Your friend and brother in Christ,

Spiritual guts

( Luke 19:1-10 )

Spiritual guts. One of the things I love about reading the accounts of the ministry of Jesus was the fact He never lost sight of what He had come to do. He came to preach the Good News to the lost and hurting of the world. His ministry was NOT in the church of His day, but was to those outside of the church. Jesus took His message of hope into the streets to those who were living without God in their life, telling them that there was a better way to live. JESUS HAD SPIRITUAL GUTS!

Today, more than ever, we need men and women of God with those same spiritual guts. The church has become institutionalized and satisfied with the status quo. Forty years ago, it was simply a matter of opening the front door and the people would come. That is not true in 2003. We have a large percentage of 2 full generations now that do not attend church. Children that grew up in homes void of God are now having their own children, which of course, will also grow up in homes void of God. The world that we live in continues each day to boldly present a message that is in direct opposition to the Truth of God’s Word.

Sadly, rather than going out and challenging that ungodly message, the church has decided to withdraw from the world and isolate itself. Rather than being the salt and light God has called us to be, we have found it more “comfortable” to simply withdraw and stay to ourselves. We feel safe in our churches since we are with “our own kind.” We have our OWN TV stations. We have our OWN radio stations. We have our OWN books and magazines. We have our OWN music. We have our OWN schools. Rather than using these great resources to reach the lost, we have found it is much easier (and more profitable) to simply “preach to the choir” and isolate ourselves from the rest of the world.

This message today is a wake up call to men and women who love the Lord. God did not call us to isolate ourselves from this world, but to go out into the world and share the hope and love of Jesus Christ. I have never seen so many people that are afraid of the world that we live in. Did you not read in the Bible in 1 John 4:4 that tells you, “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world?” Did you not read in the Bible that we are “more than conquerors?” Did you not read in the Bible that we are called to go out into the “highways” and invite the lost to know Christ? God did not call us to hide our light under a bushel, but to share that light with this dark world we live in! God is looking for men and women with “spiritual guts” to take His message to the lost and hurting of this world.

I love you and care about you so much. There is a world outside of the four walls of the church that is lost, hurting, and looking for answers. They won’t come to church, watch Christian TV, listen to Christian radio and music, read Christian books and magazines, or go to Christian schools. To reach these people, we have to do what Jesus did and GO TO THEM. Understand that when you take Christ into the world, they will not always be nice. They have lived their life rejecting God so most likely will not be open to your message. But never forget that your labor for the Lord is not in vain.

Even those who reject what you are saying have at least had a seed planted in their life. God will allow you to minister to people that are at a place in their life where they realize there has to be a better way. They WILL be open to accepting Christ as their Savior and changing their life. Jesus told us that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. The church has forgotten the most important part of being a Christian, and that is we are here to serve, NOT be served. We are like Eli. Sitting in our grand palaces, getting so fat that we can’t even move, when God has called us to rise up and take His message of Christ’s love to the lost and hurting of the world we live in. That takes spiritual guts.

Addicted to drugs, alcohol, and food

(Psalms 91:3, 2 Timothy 4:18, 2 Peter 2:9)

Addicted to drugs, alcohol, and food. One of the common bonds we have seen throughout the course of human history, is the dependence so many develop on mind-altering substances. The incredible drug problem that we face in this country is not a new phenomenon. The use of alcohol has been common by people through the ages. Food has just recently been exposed as a great escape for many. Man learned how to escape the reality of life using drugs and alcohol early on in his existence, and the world we live in, in 2003, is no different than at any other time in human history.

To understand why so many people during their life have turned to mind altering substances like drugs, alcohol, and food, we must first look at WHY. The basic human experience has not changed at all since the Garden of Eden. As children we are affected by those who raise us and our environment. Our
lives are shaped in those early years by where we live, where we learn, and where we play, as well as by all of the people in each area of our life. As we become young adults we begin making our own decisions, decisions based largely on that foundation laid in our life as children. We begin to experience life on our own, we are old enough to understand more of what life is all about, and we begin exploring all of the new feelings and experiences that come with being a young adult.

As we hit our 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s, we become focused on working, earning a living, getting married, and having a family. From 50 and up we start to look at life from a different perspective since our life is now winding down. We tend to focus on health issues, retirement, and ultimately our own death. Along
this journey everyone deals with the death of loved ones and friends, financial problems, where to live, health issues, school and work problems, and relationship conflicts. These are common problems we all face during the course of our life. How we handle these problems becomes the challenge we all have to deal with.

The use of drugs, alcohol, and food is not complicated. Most start out using them as an experiment, to see what they are like. This is very common. The fact is, the result of drugs, alcohol, and overeating is that “high” feeling. That period of time when you seem to escape reality. In reality you have escaped nothing. You have simply used a substance to alter your mind and in the process, the problems you were facing seem to be gone. That too of course is not true since your problems didn’t go away, you simply used a substance to block them out. What has actually happened is you have added to them since any time you are putting alcohol or drugs or excessive amounts of food into your body it has a harmful effect. After using drugs, alcohol, and/or food and getting used to the “escape” or “high” feeling you get, it then becomes an option, or choice you can make during times in your life when things are not going well. Unfortunately, many become addicted and it becomes part of their daily life.

The problems with drugs, alcohol, and food are found at every stage of life. The experimentation usually starts out when you are younger. You are with your friends, you take a hit off a joint, or try some alcohol, or take ecstasy, or snort some coke, or simply sit down and eat quarts of ice cream. All
to see what it is like. What you are doing, is opening the front door of your life and asking the enemy to come inside. You are asking the enemy if he is thirsty or hungry.

You are telling him to take his shoes off and relax. You have done to your life the same as if you went and had keys made to your home and passed them out on the street to total strangers. Addiction mostly occurs in adults. When we think of addiction, we get the mental image of the junkie in the alley, or wino. The fact is, most people are functioning addicts. They go to school, they work, they have families, they go to church, yet drugs and/or alcohol are a part of their life. They can not live without them. When you welcomed the enemy into your life by experimenting with drugs and alcohol, you didn’t know how difficult it would be to make him leave.

I love you, and care about you so much. I want this word today to accomplish two things. First, for young adults, even older adults, DON’T OPEN YOUR LIFE TO THE ENEMY BY EXPERIMENTING WITH DRUGS, ALCOHOL, OR FOOD. The consequences can literally cost you your life!!! Secondly, for those who have used drugs and alcohol or food, STOP. I realize that it is not easy. Many of you have found out how to use drugs and alcohol or food to ease the pain of life’s trials and tribulations. The fact is, you are just compounding them. The only answer to the day to day issues we all have to deal with in life is a personal relationship with Christ. Only though Christ does it all make sense. Only through Christ do we have the hope and strength to carry on through those difficult times in life.

Whatever temporary relief you may get from drugs or alcohol is just that..temporary. You have not solved the problem, just compounded it. For those who are addicted, get help. Only the power of God can kick the enemy out of your life. But there are many fine Christian based programs to help you overcome your addiction. God is still in the deliverance business, but you first have to want to be delivered.

I will be praying for those who are battling with drugs, alcohol and/or food in their life. Maybe this is not an issue in your life, but is in the life of someone you know. Know that the Bible proclaims, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper”!!!!!! I am praying and believing for deliverance and victory in the lives of those who are bound by drugs, alcohol, and food.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Does God exist?

( Genesis 1:1, Nehemiah 9:6, Psalm 19:1, Romans 1:20 )

Does God exist? Some of my fondest memories as a young boy growing up in the 60’s, was getting up very early in the morning, turning on the television set, and watching Walter Cronkite announce the latest blast-off of a manned rocket into outer space. From the initial single man Mercury rockets, to the 2 man Gemini missions, to the 3 man Apollo series that was highlighted in July of 1969 by Neil Armstrong walking on the moon, to the current era of the Space Shuttle flights and a manned space station, the space program has been one of man’s great accomplishments.

I also remember the horrible reminders of how dangerous space travel can be. I remember watching in tears as a fire in the capsule of Apollo 1 that was still on the launch pad, killed astronauts Virgil Grissom, Roger Chaffee, and Edward White. I remember 17 years ago seeing the explosion of the Space Shuttle Challenger just 73 seconds after lift-off, killing all 7 aboard. The past 40 years of space travel has been very exciting to witness, has contributed greatly to advancing our existence in this life, and
in the future will continue to help us find answers to some of the great questions that we have about our world.

Perhaps the greatest question ever asked is, “does God exist?” With over 1.7 million subscribers and having many subscribers forward each day’s Devotional to their friends and family, having it posted on hundreds of other websites and message boards each day, I get asked hundreds of emails daily with that very question. Anyone that has ever taken a Theology 101 course knows that right after the Table of Contents, the very first chapter is on the “Existence of God”. I could spend hours proving the existence of God because belief in the existence of God is intuitive, it is assumed by the Scriptures, and it is corroborated by various arguments. But I am not going to.

Instead, when anyone asks me “does God exist?” I tell them ABSOLUTELY. When they ask me to prove it, I tell them to do two things. First, go look in a mirror, and second, go outside and look into the sky. When you look into a mirror and see yourself, YOUR EXISTENCE is one of the greatest proofs there is that God exists. After all, one of the questions all men throughout human history have asked themselves is, “where did I come from?” Evolution and other theories have all proven to be impossible. There is only one plausible, legitimate explanation, and that is GOD CREATED US. If God created us, then God must exist.

When you go outside and look into the sky, the EXISTENCE OF THIS WORLD is one of the greatest proofs there is that God exists. Man from the beginning of
time has asked “how were the heavens and earth made?” There have been numerous
theories put forth, but all have fallen woefully short of even coming close to explain
how the world in which we live was created. There is only one plausible, legitimate
explanation, and that is GOD CREATED IT.

Of course those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ and know that the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word simply go to Genesis Chapter One. The existence of God is a given fact. Those who have made the choice to reject Christ in the their life, will in many cases also reject the existence of God. It is easier for them to live with themselves by believing that there is no God, that Jesus is a story like Santa Claus, and that the Bible is just a book of fables. This way, they can live their life however THEY choose, free in their own mind from being accountable to anyone. These people will rely on incredible arguments, unproven scientific studies, and anything that they can find to deny God exists so that they can feel better in their rejection of Him. For people like this, you will never convince them God exists through arguments. The best thing to do is to pray for them, since the God they reject is able to open their hearts to His reality and love for them.

I love you and care about you so much. Only a fool would ever doubt the existence of God. As a matter of fact, it would take greater faith than I could ever dream of having, to even question whether God exists.

As a tribute to the 7 crewmembers of the Space Shuttle Columbia, let me leave
you with some quotes by former astronauts about the existence of God:

“I am convinced of God by the order out in space.” Astronaut Eugene A. Cernan:

“But when you leave the earth, in a spacecraft, I personally think there’s a real motivation to look toward God. After being in space, I certainly have a much greater appreciation for the world God has made, the universe He’s created. It’s very clear in my mind that this universe couldn’t have happened by chance.” NASA Astronaut Col. Jack Lousma

“To look out as this kind of creation out here and not believe in God is to me impossible. It just strengthens my faith. I wish there were words to describe what it’s like…” Astronaut John Glenn

A message to those committing adultery

( Exodus 20:14 )

A message to those committing adultery. Early in my marriage (15 yrs ago), when I was not walking with the Lord, I was involved in several adulterous affairs. I thank God daily for His love and mercy, for His forgiveness. I thank God daily for my wife and her commitment to our marriage and unconditional
love that allowed her to forgive me. I confess this to you today so those who
read this will know that I understand this subject from personal experience.

Adultery is simply an act of gross selfishness. There is NO excuse for it, no way to even try and justify it. It is an act of total rebellion towards God.
It is sin, and trust me my friend, God can not, and will not bless sin. When you
commit this act, you are sinning against God, your spouse, yourself, and you are
contributing to the sin of the other person. There are NO winners in an adulterous situation. EVERYONE LOSES. For whatever moments of pleasure there are, you pay an incredibly high price. So why are so many involved in this activity?

The reasons for committing adultery are endless. All of them added up together still aren’t justification for this blatant act of disobedience to God.
Do you realize the time and effort that it takes to be involved in an adulterous relationship, if that same time and effort were put towards your spouse, it would do wonders for your marriage? If you took all of the time of planning it takes to be together with that other person, put forth the same energy you do to please that other person, was as kind, considerate, and affectionate as you are with that other person….with your spouse….how much better your marriage would be??? Do you realize that when you are involved in an adulterous relationship how much communication there
is with the other person? If you put even half of that communication in your marriage it would be dramatically better!!!

Here is reality my friend. There is no future with a person you are involved in an adulterous relationship with. It will never work out, if for no other reason, God is never going to bless such a union, rooted in such sin Whatever problems exist in your marriage that even cause you to consider committing adultery are fixable with the effort of both spouses and God’s involvement.
For whatever reason there may have been, you chose to commit to marry that person, now you need to make it work. For those who are yet not married, maybe now you can see why it is SO IMPORTANT to not rush into marriage. To stay pure so you aren’t forced into marriage, to be equally yoked so there is spiritual harmony and communication in a marriage. Most problems stem from the marriage starting on a bad foundation. Marriage is SERIOUS.

However, if you find yourself in a marriage that was started on a bad foundation, Jesus Christ will help you rebuild that foundation on the Word of God. But you have to be willing to put forth the effort. Trust me, you may think things will be better in a new relationship, but ultimately, after a period of time, there will be problems. So don’t compound them by fighting against God. That is a battle you will lose every time.

I love you and care about you so much. I know many of you are hurting. For those who are in pain today because your spouse has cheated on you, let me encourage you. You are NOT responsible for his/her actions. Your spouse has the same free will that you have. Your most effective weapon is to pray for
them, and commit them to God since only He can change their heart.

My wife learned how to really trust God 100% during that period in our life many years ago. It will help you to make your faith real. The Lord will help you overcome the pain and hurt, and actually be able to forgive your spouse and move forward in your relationship. For those who are currently involved in an adulterous relationship, let me challenge you. STOP TODAY!!!

I know that it will be difficult, but it is the first step to getting your relationship
with God back, and your life back. Anyone who is honest, knows that life becomes almost not worth living under those conditions. God will always help you when you are trying to follow His way. Whatever problems that exist in
your marriage, adultery is not the answer. Honest open communication with your
spouse, allowing God to be an active part of your life, working at the commitment
you made to your husband/wife….this is what it is going to take to make your
marriage all that God wants it to be.

Because of the widespread nature of this issue, know that I will be spending time in prayer for those of you who are dealing with this in your life. Both those who are committing adultery, and those who have a spouse cheating on them.
My prayer is that you will find that intimate personal relationship with the Lord
that you need to overcome the circumstances you are facing in your life. No matter how hopeless things may look, there is ALWAYS hope in Christ. Get right
with God, then get right with your spouse. It is the only answer, and God will
help you when you commit your life to Him and follow His Word.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Praying with your family

(Acts 1:14)

Praying with your family. Each day I try to do my best to encourage you and give you practical guidance to help translate your faith into your every day life. Today is one of those core areas that is critical to the spiritual life of a family. Men, you are REQUIRED to take the spiritual headship of your home and make prayer part of the daily life at your house. You should pray with your spouse EVERY day alone, and the two of you should be praying with your kids EVERY day.

Does this insure you have no problems in your marriage, or with your children. NO. But it must be part of our every day life to commit the issues we are facing to the Lord in prayer, to be thankful for all God does for us each day, to openly express our dependence on Him. For those single moms, during this season you are in, you need to be the spiritual leader in your home and it is up to you to make time each day to pray with your kids. There is nothing greater you can do for your marriage and in the life of your family than that daily time of prayer together.

This is not a matter to debate. The Bible clearly tells us to pray one for another. How much more should we pray together as husband and wife, as a family unit? It becomes like everything else in our life, a matter of priorities. It is amazing how much we can accomplish when it is something we want to do. However, there always seems to be reasons why we can’t do the things necessary to maintain our focus on the things of God. I am not talking about 5 hour long prayer meetings, though there may be times when that is greatly needed. Even 15 minutes, praying about the issues you are currently facing.

There is no better lesson for your kids than to see God answering prayers in their life, and not answering in some cases. It helps prepare them for the real world they are living in and helps them to learn to be dependent upon God each day. For a husband and wife, you share the most intimate things possible physically, yet for some reason, you can’t share in the most intimate thing spiritually. That never has made sense to me.

Trust me, I realize that this is a big step for many. Let me leave you with this challenge. Take the next 4 weeks. Make 5 minutes each day to pray with your spouse alone, and another 5 to pray with the children. With your spouse, each of you take a few minutes to share your needs, then the husband, or wife, lead in prayer for those needs. Before you end, each of you just take a minute to pray for your spouse, that God will bless them richly that day. Same with your kids. Take a few minutes to have each of your children share the needs pressing, then either dad or mom lead in prayer..then both the mom and dad should pray over each child for God’s protection and blessings. A side note, keeping a prayer journal is a great way to look back after 6 months and see God’s faithfulness. Simply write down the request and date…and then the answer when it comes and the date.

MAKE THIS A PRIORITY TO DO EACH DAY FOR THE NEXT 4 WEEKS. Trust me when I tell you that it will change your relationship with your spouse and children. For those who have a spouse that isn’t saved and isn’t going to go for this, here is the plan. Spend a few minutes either at night or in the morning when your spouse is sleeping to lay your hands on them and pray for them.

I love you and care about you. Praying with your spouse each day, praying with your kids each day, doesn’t make your home immune from the trials and tribulations of this world. It will however keep your home focused each day on the Lord, and who is in control. The journey of faith we are on is a 24/7 experience. Not one hour on Sunday, or every now and then. Can you see how much harder it becomes to be involved in sin when you are focusing on the Lord each day personally, and then with your spouse, and then with your kids? God will honor those who honor Him.

It is time that we quit being so lazy, quit waiting until we are in the midst of crisis to call out to the Lord. The reason we are so weak and ineffective in our Christian lives is because we are lazy and do nothing to strengthen ourselves for the storms of life. When they come, we are lost and have no idea how to fight. A good soldier is always in training so that when it is time for battle they are prepared. The Bible tells us that our enemy is not of flesh and blood…it is a spiritual battle we are in. Subsequently, it is critical that we are training daily to fight those spiritual battles, both in our personal life, and in the lives of those God has given us in this life.

I will be praying today that you hear this word and act upon it. It could be the difference between seeing victory or defeat in your marriage and the lives of your children. God is placing the weapons you need to fight with in your hands…use them. PRAYING WITH YOUR SPOUSE AND FAMILY IS ONE OF THE GREATEST WEAPONS OF ALL!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Success is ONLY possible through hard work

( Philippians 2:12 )

Success is ONLY possible through hard work. Last month Ruben Studdard was named the “American Idol” on the hit FOX TV show. Ruben, along with Clay Aiken, and the rest of the 10 finalists will all be getting mega-dollar record
contracts and be “stars”. What most people fail to recognize is that while we never
heard of any of these people until several months ago, each one has spent years
of hard work, honing their God-given gift of singing, to allow them to even have
a chance at this opportunity of being called the “American Idol”

Many people will say they were “lucky”. Well my friend, let me tell you that the word “luck” is not even in God’s dictionary. There is simply no such thing as “luck” since God has a perfect plan and purpose for each of our lives, and NOTHING happens to us apart from HIM allowing it to happen. It was NOT “good luck” that allowed the 3 Hebrew children to escape the fiery furnace unharmed. It was God! It was NOT “bad luck” that allowed the horrible things to happen to Job. It was God!

While we rarely know “why” things happen to us for the good or the bad, the fact is, God is in 100% control of all things, at all times. God has a perfect plan
and purpose for each of our lives! THE IMPORTANT FACT IS, IT IS UP TO EACH OF US TO DO OUR PART. The 3 Hebrew children had to maintain their faith and trust in God DESPITE their circumstances. Job has to maintain his faith
and trust in God DESPITE his circumstances. “Luck” was not part of either one
of their outcomes..it was God!

Over the years, I have been fortunate to know many people who by the world’s standards were considered to be very successful. The one common bond that they all had was “hard work”. You can’t hit a homerun if you are sitting in the bleachers. More important, you can’t just walk up to home plate either. You have to work hard to earn a place on the team. You have to work hard to get into the line-up. You have to put in the hard work, the sweat, deal with the ups and downs to even get yourself in a position to come up to bat!

One of the realities of life is that God is always working in our life, but for positive things to happen in our life, WE MUST PUT OURSELVES IN A POSITION FOR THEM TO HAPPEN! Ruben didn’t just stay home in Alabama and sleep all day. NO! He spent years working on his gift of singing, he had to
enter the American Idol competition, he had to perform, he had to keep working hard each week throughout the entire process. The point is, Ruben had to, and had to continue to, work hard for whatever success that he achieved! THIS IS A GREAT LESSON FOR YOU!

Does that mean that if you simply work hard, great things will happen to you? ABSOLUTELY NOT, at least by the world’s standards. The world says that to be successful you must great wealth, great power. God however, says to
be successful you have to have a great relationship with His Son Jesus! Like
all things, to have that great relationship with Jesus, you must work hard. While the hard work you put forth in your earthly pursuits may provide great results for the few years that you live, the hard work that you put forth in your relationships with Jesus will provide great results for ETERNITY!

You have to pray every day. You have to read your Bible every day. You have to be part of a Bible-preaching, Bible-teaching church. While hard work may
not always give you great earthly rewards, hard work on your relationship with Jesus will GIVE YOU ETERNAL REWARDS! We must never lose sight of the fact that we choose each day what is important to us, how we spend our time. While we should be serious about our earthly pursuits, we must never forget that our number one priority is our daily walk with the Lord!

I love you and care about you so much. There is no substitute for hard work. There are no short-cuts to having a great relationship with the Lord. While we have to work hard in school, in our careers, to enjoy this time here on earth, we must work just as hard on our relationship with the Lord that will live on for eternity. While the work we put forth in our earthly pursuits will pay off for the few years that we are here, the work that we put forth in our relationship with the Lord will pay off for eternity. Success in our earthly pursuits will only happen when we work hard and do our best. Likewise, success in our relationship with Christ will only happen when we work hard and do our best. Never forget, the things of this world will one day be left behind, but our relationship with Jesus is for eternity. WORK HARD ON IT EVERY DAY!!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
