(I Chronicles 29:5, Proverbs 23:26, Romans 12:1)

Each day in this Devotional, I deal with controversial, real life issues that we all face in this life. Many of these issues the church is reluctant to tackle. My goal each day is to deal with these issues from a Biblical perspective. Most who respond are most kind and appreciative of the Scriptural context these issues are put in. However, there are always those who get enraged at what I say, and send vicious emails how I just don’t get it.

You see my friend, God gave us free will to make choices. He decided NOT to make us simply robots who would love Him, serve Him, obey Him, but make that an act we choose to do on our own out of our love for Him. It was this free will that God gave us that allowed satan and 1/3 of the angles to rebel against God. It was this free will that God gave us that allowed Adam and Eve to sin in the Garden of Eden. It is this free will that God gave you and me that allows us to make decisions throughout the day to obey or rebel against God.

The problem with free will is that it allows us to ignore the absolute truth God gave us in His Word. It allows us to ignore the black and white reality of right and wrong. The Bible in places refers to how we are left to our “own imaginations”. Those who choose to reject God’s Word and the absolute truth it represents, basically decide themselves what is right and what is wrong.

That is fine, but since we all have free will, what is right to you may be wrong to someone else. And what is wrong to someone else, may be right to you. Do you see the chaos this creates? Unless there is a standard, unless there is a guide, what is right and wrong becomes something each person decides for themselves. That is one reason God gave us His Word, so that we would have the black and white of ABSOLUTE TRUTH to guide us in our journey.

The issue I want to deal with today is that as Christians, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we have been called to a higher standard of living. When I deal with issues like sex, alcohol, forgiveness, and serving others, so many just don’t realize that as Christians we have been called to live a higher standard of life. Those great heroes of faith recorded in Hebrews chapter 11 understood that we are NOT citizens of this country, but of another country!

While for this season we are in this world, we are no longer OF this world once we commit our hearts and lives to Jesus Christ. I am in no way saying we are to separate ourselves from this culture we live in. Quite the opposite. Jesus said we were to be the “salt of the earth”, the “light of the world”. However, we must never forget that as believers, we are called to a higher standard of living.

Many scoff at the Biblical example Christ set, when He said if we lust in our heart we have already sinned. My friends, yes, the sex drive, hormones, and emotions are all very normal. But God created us above the animals. We are not to be slaves to our natural drives, but to be in control of them. God has given us the power over our flesh, over our natural, carnal desires. To deny this is to deny the power of God that resides within you.

We can love others, not in our own strength, but in the strength God gives us. We can forgive those who treat us wrong, not in our own strength, but in the strength God gives us. We are here to serve others, not to be served as the world would like us to believe. We cannot do that in our own strength, but in the strength God gives us. You see my friend, as a follower of Christ, as a Christian, we have not only been called to a higher way of living, but given the power to do it!!!

The fact is, when we surrender ourselves to live a higher life, a life God has called us to, we are blessed above and beyond all we could ever imagine, not always in earthly blessings, but in REAL blessings…peace, contentment, joy. I promise you, I know people right now, with all the resources this world can offer, who would give a million dollars for just an hour’s worth of peace, an hour’s worth of real joy. You can’t buy these things. They are not for sale. And they only come from living a life God has called His children to live.

So many are afraid of “missing out”. The only thing you gain from rebelling against God is some temporary pleasure that always leaves you wanting more, temporary happiness that turns quickly to pain. You sell out the real things of God for the momentary gratification of this world, that quickly turns into dark despair. Blessings follow our obedience to God; pain and heartache ALWAYS follow rebellion.

I love you and care so much for you. One of my goals each day is to help you live the high calling God has called each of us to. We must never forget that we are different. We are special. Our personal relationship with Christ is what makes us special. It is something the lost of this world cannot comprehend. Because of His love for us, because of that special relationship, we have been called to live a higher life during our brief journey here.

We must never forget that it is NOT our life, but our life belongs to Him. We are called to die to self daily, so that HE may live through us. This is a daily process that we all must go through. But it is because of this daily process of dying to self so that Christ can live through us, that we can live the higher life He has called us to live. We don’t have to be like the lost of the world, but we can set the example for them. We don’t have to give in to the lusts and carnal pleasures that only destroy peoples lives, but live above them and enjoy the real blessings of God’s peace, love, happiness, and joy.

Please know that I will be praying for you today, praying that you will take these words seriously. Realize today, maybe for the first time, how special you are to the Lord. Realize today, maybe for the first time, that as Christians we are called to live a higher life than the lost around us. It is in living this higher life that the hurting, the hopeless, and the lost of this world will ask us what is so different between our life and theirs. It is then that we can share with them the hope and love we have in Christ Jesus.

As followers of Christ, we are called to a higher standard of living. Let us live for Him each day and proclaim to this world through our very lives that He is the way, the truth and the life!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

(Ephesians 6:11-17)

Walking on Water Part Two of Two

I was greatly encouraged by the incredible number of people who were challenged and motivated by yesterday’s Devotional on getting out of the boat and WALKING ON WATER. However, as I was about ready to fall asleep last night, I immediately shot up, wide awake in a cold sweat. Have you ever been almost asleep when all of a sudden you remembered something important? You were just about to fall into a deep sleep when you remembered something important you forgot to do? What caused me to panic was the fact I forgot to mention in that Devotional on Thursday that when you get out of the boat, exercise your faith in the Lord and start to walk on water, you will come under attack by satan. Oops! Sorry for forgetting to mention that little detail.

You see my freind, the closer we get to the Lord, the more we exercise our faith, the more dangerous we become to satan. A mere Christian does not intimidate satan, however, a Christian fully surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ, living in the Spirit and not the flesh, walking by faith and not by sight is satan’s worst nightmare. Peter, the one who walked on water was never much of a threat to satan during the life of Jesus.

Peter’s transformation into the powerful man of God he became really happened during the time of his greatest failure. After denying the Lord, then being restored by Jesus, it was clear that Peter was no longer the same old inconsistent man he used to be. During that process was that special moment when the lightbulb went off in his head and Peter fully surrendered himself completely to the Lord and became the Peter we read about in the Book of Acts.

It is that time in the walk of every Believer when you know you are saved, when you are doing your best to live for the Lord, when you know you need to fully and completely surrender your life to the Lord, but you are still hanging onto a bit of the old man. You are following the Lord, but you haven’t really made that 100% commitment to Him. Deep down you know that you need to just sell out and trust the Lord and not look back. Each person comes to that place in different ways at different times. It rarely happens immediately but is a process of events and experiences that happen in your walk with the Lord that lead you to that place of complete surrender.

One big reason it takes a while to get to that place is because of the fact that every time you get close to the Lord, you start to get serious about Christ, the attacks start coming in waves. To be blunt, you either get overwhelmed in fighting the attacks or just plain scared and back off of that total commitment to the Lord. It is like being excited about going to the beach. You get there, it is a beautiful day, you can’t wait to get into the water, and you rush in. Within minutes you see a fin sticking out only a hundred yards away and you run for the shore as fast as you can. Guess what. Getting back into the water really doesn’t seem like such a good idea any longer. This is what happens when you boldly step out in faith to serve the Lord. You will see sharks!

Sadly, most people are never really told anything about spiritual warfare. Paul, in closing out his letter to the church at Ephesus, did his best to make sure they understood that following and serving the Lord was not going to happen without a fight. Possibly a literal fight, but for certain a spiritual fight. You see he made sure they understood that the real battle we fight is not against flesh and blood, but it is a spiritual battle. Satan is a defeated foe, but for this brief season that he is loose, he is not just going to sit back and watch someone serving the Lord without doing his best to take them out. The closer you get to the Lord, the more you do for the Lord, the fiercer the attacks will get.

*PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT AS YOU EXERCISE YOUR FAITH AND GET OUT OF THE BOAT TO WALK ON WATER, SATAN WILL ATTACK YOU!

However, God knew this and has given his children not only the armor they need to withstand the attacks of satan, but the weapon we need to fight with. Did you think God would ask you to follow Him and serve Him, knowing satan would come after you and not take care of you? He has given you the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, our feet have the gospel of peace, He has given us the shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation. If you notice, there is something special about the armor God. THERE IS NOTHING TO PROTECT THE BACK!

Do you know why? (Good thing this is a written Devotional, this is where I could break into about a 1 hour “preach.”) GOD’S CHILDREN DON’T TURN AND RUN WE FIGHT MOVING FORWARD, PRESSING FORWARD TO THE PRIZE. COWARDS RETREAT, GOD’S CHILDREN PRESS ON, KNOWING THAT WE HAVE ALREADY WON THE VICTORY AND THAT SATAN IS A DEFEATED FOE!

Also, the child of God only has ONE offensive weapon. The sword, God’s Word! The Bible says that it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even to the dividing of soul and sprit, joints and marrow. It is the only weapon the child of God needs. There is AUTHORITY in the Word of God. There is POWER in the Word of God. When Jesus was confronted by satan he didn’t have a conversations with him, he QUOTED THE WORD OF GOD TO HIM!

I love you and care about you so much. I apologize for challenging you and encouraging you to have the faith to walk on water, without also warning you that when you get on the water the sharks will start to circle. My friend, count it joy when you see the sharks since that means you are a threat to the enemy! Do not be afraid, but know that God has provided you with not only the protection you need, but the weapon you need to fight with.

Getting saved is the most important decision you will make in this life since it determines your eternal home, but once you are “born again,” you need to then grow and mature in your faith. Getting to a place where you trust the Lord enough to get out of the boat and walk on water is a sign of that maturity. I will pray for you as you take that next step in the maturation process, and that is in being able to stand and fight the spiritual battles that come from serving and following the Lord. After all, it is easy to stand and fight when you already know..YOU WIN BECAUSE HE WON!!!

In His love and service,

(Matthew 14:22-33)

Walking on Water-Part One of Two (Part Two tomorrow)

When you focus on Jesus, you can walk on water. This week, the Lord has been helping me grow in my own personal relationship with Him. Our life from the moment we accept Christ into our hearts becomes a journey of growing and maturing to become more like our Lord. That process continues right up until the moment we take our last breath. It is like climbing a ladder that has an infinite number of rungs on it. No matter how high you get, there is always another rung to work towards. That is why we can never become complacent or apathetic in our relationship with Christ. It should be the desire of every Believer to become more like our Savior each day.

God has helped me learn over these past 20 years of serving Him, to not allow the distractions of this life to keep me from doing my best at what He has called me to do that day. Between the time I spend with the Lord, overseeing the daily operations of Liveprayer, the 4-5 hours I commit each day to ministering to people personally, along with my personal life, each day is very full.

You can only imagine the number of distractions that come from every conceivable direction each day. Satan is a master at using distractions to keep our focus off of the Lord. This week has been a difficult one for me. This morning as I finished up my time in the Word, the Holy Sprit had me in the 14th Chapter of Matthew. I was looking for a passage, and after finding it, my eyes were drawn to the anchor verses for this Devotional today. It is that wonderful story of Peter wanting to walk on the water like Jesus did.

Peter, a man of incredible faith one moment, and no faith the next. I have read and studied this passage of Scripture scores of times, preached on it over the years. But today as I read it, the Holy Spirit said to me, “Bill, there you are. Like Peter, you are a man of great faith one minute, and of no faith the next. When you keep your eyes on Jesus, you can walk on water. When you take your eyes off of Jesus, you will sink.”

I closed my Bible, got on my knees, and asked God to forgive me for allowing the distractions of this life to take my eyes off of Jesus. I asked the Lord to give me His strength, that no matter what may be going on around me, I will never take my eyes off of Jesus. I cried out for Him to increase my faith so that I would never lose sight of the Lord again. As I got up, I felt a renewed sense of strength. My mind was crystal clear. My spiritual eyes were locked in on Jesus and I knew that through Him, ALL things were possible.

My friend, let me share this word with you today. YOU CAN WALK ON WATER LIKE PETER. Please, listen to this again and let the words sink into your Spirit. YOU CAN WALK ON WATER LIKE PETER. The only thing stopping you is your lack of faith. Peter was just a man of flesh and blood like you and I. He had the same problems, the same struggles we do. The Bible says that Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water. How? His faith! Why did Peter walk on the water and you haven’t? Peter had the faith in Jesus to believe he could walk on the water when the Lord said, “come.”

Please take note that Peter only began to sink when he took his eyes off of Jesus and focused instead on the storm around him. When he allowed the storm around him to distract him, that is when he began to sink. As long as you stay focused on Jesus and don’t allow the storms in your life to distract you, YOU CAN WALK ON WATER LIKE PETER!!!

I love you and care about you so much. This will be a difficult word for many people today because they do not even have the goal of walking on water. They have set their spiritual goals so low, they are simply satisfied being saved and knowing they will get to Heaven. But for those reading this today that are looking for a challenge, here it is. Don’t be satisfied with anything less than walking on water! It is not a matter of is it possible. We already know that it is because Peter did it. God is no respecter of persons. If Peter did it, you can as well. Set your goal to walk on water.

God has called each one of His children to serve Him. Everyone has a different calling on their life and serves God in different ways. Whatever way God has called you to serve Him, set your goal to walk on water, meaning have the faith to serve God to the best of your ability, knowing that as long as you are keeping your focus on Jesus you will walk on the water. Can you serve the Lord sitting in the boat? Sure. But if you are going to serve the Lord, why not get out of the boat and walk on the water? Sitting in the boat doesn’t require much faith at all, walking on the water requires great faith. If you want to be the best for the Lord, you have to give your best to the Lord.

I am praying for you today. Praying that you will hear, and respond to this word of encouragement from God today. He loves you, cares about you, and wants the best for your life. We will always have storms in our life. That is never going to change. We can either spend our life focusing on the storms, or spend our life focusing on the One who can calm the storms. The fact is, you will never be all God has called you to be as long as you are focusing on the storms. Keep your eyes on Jesus and YOU can walk on the water!!!

In His love and service,

(2 Timothy 3:1)

*This is a Devotional I wrote Feb 28th, 2002….nearly 10 years ago. The words I wrote on that day were true than, and still true today. Sadly, the things I have been writing about and warning you about over the nearly 13 years of Liveprayer have or are coming to pass. I can only pray people will wake up and realize that our time is very short, and God’s wrath and judgment on this wicked nation is imminent. May he who has ears to hear and eyes to see stand with me!

(from 2/28/02)

A prophet is a spiritual office like a pastor, teacher, or evangelist. A prophet is a person who declares the oracles of God to the people of his or her day. An interesting side note for those in the ministry who have this idea they are here to be served. The Bible says the meal of the prophet was cow dung, not cow meat! There is also the gift of prophecy. It is a spiritual gift. Like all spiritual gifts, every child of God has some but not all.

There is great controversy within the body of Christ regarding gifts, but let me say that the Bible clearly says God gives people spiritual gifts to accomplish His plan and purpose. He gives someone the gift of prophecy to tell people about future events. It is NOT fortune telling or being a psychic. A prophetic word will ALWAYS be supported by scripture.

Of course, since it is something that will happen in the future, the prophetic passages of the Bible can be interpreted many different ways and are highly subjective. I think we should go to the Biblical standard for a prophetic word. Those who gave prophetic words were never given the chance to be wrong twice, since they were stoned to death after their first miss! I wonder how many “prophets” would be out in our churches today under those conditions? Quite a few would not have made it past the Y2K crisis they foretold. My purpose today is not to debate end-times events, but share a word God has for you.

We have two very real events in the world today that God has shown me will play a major role in the last days. Both concern the United States. Even though we are relatively young as a nation, because this is a nation that was founded on the Word of God and has seen so much of God’s blessings, we will play a role in the last days. The first event on the horizon is our relationship with China. The issue of Taiwan could be the trigger to put us in a full-blown adversarial relationship with China. With the incredible advances they have made in the last 10 years in their nuclear program, and having now almost 1.3 billion people, they have the ability to be the dominant force on our planet in these last days.

The second event is the energy crisis we are not only facing in our country, but in the world. World energy consumption is at an all time high, and increasing daily. Not only is China demanding incredible amounts of energy, but many African and South American countries have vastly increased their energy consumption over the last 10 years as well. These two factors are part of the very world we live in today, this minute. The emergence of China as the dominant global power, and the worldwide energy shortage, will be playing significant roles in the last days.

So, putting it in perspective to your daily life, what does it mean? This. Time is short. Read the words of Christ in Matthew Chapters 24 and 25, read 2 Timothy 3:1-5, just for starters. You don’t have to be a biblical scholar to know that

WE ARE LIVING IN THE LAST DAYS. THEY ARE HERE NOW!!!

That is why each day I do my best to encourage you, challenge you, and push you in your daily walk with Christ. God needs every one of His children, now more than ever, working hard for the Kingdom. As a child of God, we have the power and ability to turn from sin. The reason I focus so much on sin is because it is the weapon the enemy uses to keep you from being a productive member of God’s army. He gets you so consumed in your own problems, in your own situations, that you are not able to be part of fighting the larger war for the eternal souls of people.

God gives us glimpses of the future, of the last days, so that we can be motivated to get busy and work while we still have an opportunity to make a difference. There is no time to sleep or rest, because time is quickly running out!

I love you, and care about you so very much. Now more than ever God needs you, needs each one of His children on the battlefield each day. Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are immediately drafted into God’s army. It is not an option, but a responsibility. It is not something we should even hesitate wanting to do. After all, we know that those who die in their sin are destined to eternal separation. If we can help even one person avoid eternal damnation, how can we say no?

God has strategically placed you exactly where you are supposed to be. It is no accident you live where you live, work where you work, go to school where you go to school. That is your battle station. As we watch the last days unfold, as we anticipate the return of Christ at any moment, let us get serious about serving Him. He will guide you, equip you, and make you adequate for the job He has given you to do. All He needs is your obedience and surrender to His plan for your life. I will pray for you today to open your heart and ask God how you can be the best soldier possible.

“Thus sayeth the Lord God of Hosts, I have called you forth in these last days to be my people, to show the lost of this world that I am the hope they seek. Go share that message.”

In His love and service,

(James 1:22)

So many Christians are content to sit on the sidelines, listening, watching, and experiencing the fullness of the Christian life vicariously through others. What I am about to say is going to get me in trouble, but it won’t be the first time. One of the popular Christian magazines each month has become little more than an advertising vehicle for this Holy Ghost Conference, that Camp meeting of the Millennium, the annual Partners Only Crusade, Women’s meetings, men’s meetings, and on..and on..and on.

Listen, I am in no way trying to minimize, judge, or criticize what other ministries are doing. My Bible says that we need to be united, support one another, and God is working through many different types of instruments. The point I want to make is that the people of God have gotten very fat and lazy with all of the Christian celebrities and the Christian entertainment that our culture has produced.

Again, there is nothing wrong with producing the finest quality radio, television, movie, and stage productions to help share the message of Christ. The point I am trying to get across is that it has made too many of God’s people lazy and more comfortable sitting on the sidelines watching, which was never God’s plan.

I am a big believer in education, in listening to God’s anointed teachers of the Word to learn all we can. But while we are hearing the Word, we also must be doing the Word. All of the commands in the Gospels, the Book of Acts, Paul’s letters, and the other New Testament writings were to be active participants in our faith…helping others, witnessing, teaching new believers.

Spiritual gifts have become such a controversial topic, and I will deal with that issue soon, but God gave gifts to His people to be active DOERS of the Word, not idle bystanders. He has given each one of His children gifts, abilities to help advance the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught in many parables that it is a sin to not utilize the gifts God has given you.

In past Devotionals I have spoken about the sin of omission. I want to make sure you clearly understand today, that it is a sin to not use the gifts and talents God has blessed you with to serve Him. That does not mean you have to quit your job and become a missionary to a third-world country or sell everything to start a ministry. God may call you to do that.

However, for most of His children, He has called you to serve Him exactly where you are today. It is no accident you live where you live, go to school where you do, work where you do, recreate and shop where you do. God has placed you there strategically to be a light to others. The most effective way we can serve God is in our normal day-to-day life. Letting our Godly- lifestyle be a living testimony to those we come in contact with. Helping those around us in a time of need. Getting involved in projects and ministries through our local church.

I love you and care about you so much. I will be praying for you today, that these words will cause you to stop and reflect on your life. Ask yourself if you are on the sidelines or actively living the Christian life God has called you to live. Are you using your gifts and talents for Him? Take inventory today of whether you are not only hearing the Word, but DOING the Word.

I want to see you be all you can be and all God has called you to be for Him. Remember, our greatest and most effective service are rarely those big things we may be involved in for the Kingdom, but the quiet, one-on-one ministry to someone who is hurting and looking for hope. Everyone who knows Christ can tell someone that Jesus loves them. Everyone that knows Christ can testify to what Jesus has meant in their life. Everyone who knows Christ can share the love and hope we have in Him with someone. Doing that makes you a DOER of the Word.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

(Acts 7:54-60)

The ultimate goal of every follower of Christ is to become more like Him each day. We read about how Jesus lived His life. We study the way He handled different situations. We carefully dissect His words. The whole point is to become more like Him. The popular phrase “what would Jesus do” helps to remind us during our busy days that when we face decisions, we should stop and ask, what would Jesus do?

You see, Jesus came to this earth and lived as a man. He walked the same roads we walk. He saw the same things we see. He felt the feelings we have. While remaining 100% God, He was also 100% man and comprehends what we go through in our day-to-day lives. Because of His virgin birth, He was born without sin, and then proceeded to live His life without sin. He set the example for all of us to follow. He gave us the standard by which we all should be striving to live up to each day.

By living like He did, we make our Lord proud of us. Many see this as an unrealistic goal. While in our own strength I agree; however, when we are living in His strength…it becomes very real!!! You see, when Jesus left this earth, He promised a comforter…someone to come along side to help. That promise was fulfilled on the day we celebrate as Pentecost with the advent of the Holy Spirit.

One of the benefits of accepting Jesus Christ into your life is to receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit give you power to live beyond yourself when you are yielded to that power. The Holy Spirit is what brings you under conviction when you are not living a life pleasing and acceptable to the Lord. It is the Holy Spirit that enables you to live a Christ-like life, thus making Jesus proud of you!

The person and power of the Holy Spirit has been the subject of much poor teaching. I am not going to get into any theological debates over this issue, instead, I will stick strictly to what the Bible clearly teaches. At that moment of being “born again”, you receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. There are Biblically documented gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit now available to those who will allow the Spirit of God to rule and reign in your life.

It is the Spirit of the living God now residing with you that gives you the supernatural power to love your enemies, forgive those who harm you, overcome the trials of day-to-day life, defeat sin in your life, and know God’s love in ways you never experienced before. It is the Holy Spirit that guides and directs you throughout the day, to keep you on the path God has chosen for your life. It is only because of the Holy Spirit that we can live like Jesus did, and make Him proud of us.

I love you and care about you so much. You will be in my prayers today as you think about these words. The most effective way to make Jesus proud of you is to live like He did. In today’s scripture, we see Stephen being stoned to death and asking God to forgive those who were killing him. This is exactly what Jesus did on the cross. It was only because of the power of God living in Stephen that he was able to do that.

Was Jesus proud? There is no other place in scripture that says Jesus was standing. Search the Bible. It always says Jesus was sitting. Why was Jesus standing in this instance? I believe it was because He was so proud of his servant Stephan that He actually stood to welcome him into Heaven. My challenge to you today is to act like Jesus and make him proud of you.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

(Psalms 139:13-15; Jeremiah 1:4-5)

This week, President Obama, the most pro-death President in the nation’s history, leads the nation in celebrating the 39th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. This is the Supreme Court decision that put the federal government in the business of legalized infanticide, with over 55 MILLION babies slaughtered in that time. Every 24 hours, apx. 4,000 innocent babies are “legally” murdered in this nation!

Abortion is a big deal. I am getting sick and tired of people telling me to stop talking about abortion. I am getting even more sick and tired of people like Rick Warren and others on the “religious left” who say talking about abortion is too divisive and that we need to stick to issues most people agree on like poverty and AIDS in Africa.

I fully understand why people don’t want to talk about abortion. INFANTICIDE is not a pleasant subject! But we can’t just be silent and act like it doesn’t exist, especially due to the FACT that in the next 24 hours, another 4,000 innocent babies will be slaughtered in this nation!!!

I would love to stop talking about abortion. Let’s get the US Govt out of the baby killing business and let each state decide whether they want to kill babies in their state. This will not end abortion, but it will at least not allow men and women treat it any longer like a trip to the dentist to have a cavity filled!

It will also cause the adoption industry to be reformed so adopting a child doesn’t require 5 lawyers, 6 years, and the amount of money it costs to by a small home. It will also cause the church to start taking responsibility for putting together programs to help deal with babies that need to be cared for and placed in the home of a loving mother and father.

However, until we get to that place, I refuse to be silent and it is a subject that MUST be talked about. Every time there is some sort of natural disaster with people dying, the news media is all over the story. Any death is sad, but it always makes me wonder why so much is made of 5, 10, 50 people tragically losing their life, and nobody even thinks about the fact that every 24 hours we murder apx 4,000 innocent babies in this nation.

I am virtually certain that there are only a handful of people out of the several million who will read these words today, that even stopped for a second to reflect that in the last 24 hours we killed 4,000 babies in this country. We have become so desensitized, have come to accept abortion to the point we don’t even think about it any longer.

Here is why abortion IS a big deal. Did you ever wonder if there is a correlation between the fact we started to legally kill babies in this nation in 1973, about the same time we began to see a massive spiritual decline in his nation? Coincidence? I think not! Just like in our individual lives, our nations blessings are tied to our obedience to God. Legally killing babies is a big deal since how can we ever expect God to bless a land that is flooded with the blood of incident babies?

I know that it is not politically correct to talk about abortion any longer. Sadly, very few nationally known pastors will EVER talk about this issue. It is bad for their business. Those who now make up this growing group known as the religious left who fill their churches with the seeker/purpose driven/emerging church watered down message don’t like this issue since it hurts their marketing efforts for warm bodies. Except for a handful of brave Catholic bishops and priests, you hear virtually nobody in the marketplace taking a stand against this blatant act of murder.

I have been saying for years that this one issue alone is enough to bring down God’s wrath and judgment on this nation. Sadly, President Bush squandered our last real opportunity we may ever have to deal with this issue politically. President Obama is a stanch defender of the practice of infanticide. He is a hero to those in the pro death movement. The business of killing babies around the world has flourished under Obama.

Those who defend him state that it is the law, that he is only upholding the law. The fact is, he has voted 100% of the time during his political career to uphold the legalized killing of babies. If he truly believed in life, he could have voted to make abortion illegal and work towards that end. I contend that any politician who votes to uphold abortion has the blood of innocent babies on their hands and is truly an evil person!!!

As a side note. For those in the pro death movement who want to make believe this is about women’s health rights, that is a bunch of garbage. This is about the LIFE OF A HUMAN BEING! I agree a woman has the right to do whatever she wants with her body, BUT NOT THE BODY OF SOMEONE ELSE! That baby may be inside her, but it is still a separate human life created by God!

I love you and care about you so much. I refuse to be bullied into silence on what is by far the most critical spiritual issue there is. You simply can’t close your eyes and act like this brutal act of murder doesn’t exist. I see the Hollywood crowd and people who normally spit in the face of God get so upset about the atrocities committed to on animals. Why aren’t these same people as upset with the fact every 24 hours we slaughter 4,000 innocent babies??? Where is their outrage about that???

On the Liveprayer.com homepage, we have a special 55 second video clip of an actual abortion being performed. If you have not watched it, YOU MUST! This is what happens to over 4,000 innocent babies EVERY DAY in this nation! Since God led me to get this footage and put it on the website nearly two years ago, we have had over 3,000 emails from women who were contemplating having an abortion, watched the video, and changed their mind (Watch the incredible testimony of baby Delilah also on that same link). http://www.liveprayer.com/aborsion.cfm

Despite the several death threats and scathing emails I get every month just from having that video on my website, I want the world to see what really happens to millions of babies here in the United Sates and around the world every year. Abortion is a big deal since it not only kills 1.5 million babies in this nation alone, but it is already bringing down the wrath and judgment of God on this nation for practicing infanticide, unless you are as spiritually blind as our leaders in Washington who think they can fix the problem.

The only way to fix the problem is to stop killing babies and turn back to God and His Truth!!!

***JANUARY FINANCIAL UPDATE: With only 1 week left in January, we still need to make up the final $3,000 of our December shortfall in addition to the $40,000 we need for our basic January operations. We desperately need to clear up the December balance and $10,000 of our January budget immediately. I am asking 3 people who are able to pray about sending a special gift of $5,000 today to help me with this balance. Please take a moment today and pray about sending a gift to support God’s work here at Liveprayer so that we can start this year with all of our basic operations current. To make a special gift to Liveprayer, you can send your gift to Liveprayer on your major credit card at our website www.liveprayer.com under the “Donation” button, or you can give from your PayPal account by using my email address, bkeller@liveprayer.com , or you can mail it to: Liveprayer, 6660 46th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33709. All gifts to Liveprayer are 100% tax deductible.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me and Liveprayer during 2011, and for those God has led and were able to help me financially during the year. It was another year of faithfully serving the Lord 24/7, impacting millions of lives worldwide while seeing over 80,000 souls we know of come to faith in Jesus, bringing the total to over 600,000 since we began over 12 years ago. All of that has only been possible because of YOUR prayers and YOUR faithful sacrifce.

Please pray about helping me today, since the year of 2012 is our year to help lead this nation back to God and His Truth while saving lost souls!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
