There was once a Man Named Saul of Tarsus

(Matthew 5:44)

There was once a man named Saul of Tarsus. To the early Christians he was an evil man. He sought to kill those who followed Jesus Christ. One day on the road to Damascus, God visited Saul. Saul of Tarsus became Paul, one of the most powerful Christians that ever lived. A man God used to write a good portion of the New Testament and plant many of the early churches that still exist today. I have no doubt that those in the early church followed the example of Jesus and PRAYED FOR SAUL!!! Here is a great way to end this year, be like Jesus, and pray for your enemies!

I am about to give you a quick spiritual test. What is your attitude towards your enemies? We all have those people in our life that we just can’t get along with. We all have those people in our life that don’t like us. We all have those people in our life that do not wish us well. What is your attitude towards those people? It is easy to like your friends, but how do you feel about those who do not like you? On the ladder of spiritual maturity, this is a very big rung. How we feel about and deal with those people in our life that are NOT our friends, is a major indicator of our spiritual growth and maturity.

Of course, our perfect example in this area is Jesus. How did He handle those who were involved in his death? He loved them, He forgave them, and He prayed for them. This becomes the standard that we must work to achieve in this area. We must love those who hate us. We must forgive those who mean to do us harm. We must pray for those who are out to get us. You see, the Bible says the Lord will fight for us, that the “battle is the Lord’s. “The reason God fights for us is that we can get so weary, so worn out, that we become ineffective for God. We become so distracted in fighting those who oppose us, we lose sight of our mission which is to serve and glorify Him with our lives.

I realize today that you have people in your life that wish only the worst upon you. Love those people today, pray for them. Anyone that has allowed bitterness to become such a stronghold in their life needs our prayers. Those who allow bitterness and hatred to creep into their life are to be pitied. They are hurting themselves, so out of that hurt, lash out on those around them. Pray for them. Pray the Lord will grant them peace. Pray the Lord will take the hatred and bitterness from them and replace it with peace and joy. Love them.

How? In our own strength, it is NOT POSSIBLE to love or pray for our enemies. That is when we need to tap into the strength only God can give us. In our own strength, it is virtually impossible to love and pray for our enemies. But when we let God take over, when we call upon His strength, it is possible. AND THIS IS WHAT THE LORD IS CALLING YOU TO DO TODAY!!

Make a list right now of everyone in your life that means you harm. Make a list of your enemies. My suggestion is that you call each one, or meet with each one and tell them you love them, forgive them, and are praying for them. If communicating with them is not possible, at least sit down each morning, and pray for them. THIS IS WHAT GOD IS CALLING YOU TO DO TODAY!!!!

I love you and care about you so much. I realize that these are difficult words to hear, and even more difficult to put into action. Trust me, there is a key of freedom attached with what I am telling you today. A freedom that you cannot begin to understand. This is a test, a spiritual test. I will pray for you today that you pass it with flying colors. It is no accident that you are reading these words today. God is clearly speaking to you.

What a great way to end the year! Take a few minutes right now, and pray for all of those in your life that are not your friends, those that are against you. Pray for their souls, and then pray the Lord will bless them and open their hearts to His love. God is calling you today to rise above the day-to-day emotions of life. Realize that the wars we fight are not of this earth, not of flesh and blood, but are spiritual. Pray for your enemies today, and be like Jesus!!!

So Often When We are Going through a Difficult Time People Tell Us to Have Faith

(James 2:17)

So often when we are going through a difficult time, people tell us to have faith. Just trust God. They say it as if God was some magician who snaps His fingers and automatically makes everything okay. While God has that power and while God will use that power at times, God normally works through people and events. We rarely get in a mess overnight, and rarely are going to get out overnight.

Part of the “getting out” process is learning how to become totally dependent on Him. It is learning how to make our faith real. It is learning how to work in conjunction with our faith. True faith, Biblical faith, requires action. It is easy to say the words, but putting your actions behind the words is what real faith is all about.

One of the greatest examples from God’s Word of someone putting their actions to their faith was David. He not only had the faith that he could go out on the battlefield and defeat Goliath–he actually did it! You see my friend, if we really believe something, then our natural response is to put actions to that belief.

While most thought David was being foolhardy to go out and face Goliath, in David’s mind that was the only logical thing to do. After all, His faith told Him that God would defeat this Philistine giant; David was simply going to be God’s instrument. That is what our faith demands–ACTION. It is not simply good enough to say I believe. If you really believe, then the only logical step is to step out and live that belief.

Why we don’t put actions to our faith simply boils down to the fact that we really don’t believe what we claim to believe. The true test of our faith is our willingness to step out and back up those words with our actions. One of the most difficult things to do for each one of us, and the one area the church has always had a major problem teaching, is taking our faith and making it real in our day-to-day lives. Saying we believe is one thing; living in opposition to that makes me question how much you really believe in what you claim.

The bottom line is if you really believe it, you live it. The translation of our faith in Jesus Christ into our everyday life becomes one of the real tests of our walk with the Lord. The world clearly understands this concept. One of the biggest reasons people in the world reject the message of Christ is because they hear Christians profess one thing and then live in opposition to that profession. The visible hypocrisy becomes a major stumbling block to many people.

How do we do a better job of putting actions to our faith? It is a process that builds day upon day, month upon month, year upon year. Look at the basis of David’s faith when he went out to fight Goliath. He told Saul that in the past when guarding his father’s sheep, he had to defend them from a bear and lion. In both cases, the Lord gave David victory. He said it so perfectly when he told Saul that the same God who gave him victory over the lion and bear is the same God who would give him victory over Goliath.

I say to you today, that the same God who has given you victory in the past is the same God who will give you victory today. It is upon that foundation that you should boldly walk out your faith each day. Put actions to your faith each day!!!

I love you and care for you so much. I will be praying for you today that you will begin to put actions to your faith. Make your faith come alive in your day-to-day activities. The Lord will help you to have more faith each day as you watch Him work in your life. Your faith will grow, giving you even more courage to live each day for Him.

My friend, this becomes one of the benchmarks of our Christian experience. It is simply not enough to believe. It is simply not enough to say that you have faith. Real faith, Biblical faith, REQUIRES action on our part. It requires us to live out our faith each and every day. I will be praying today, that you will make your faith real each day as you live your life for Jesus.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Follower of Jesus Christ

(Matthew 16:24; Luke 14:33; John 12:26, 15:8; 1 Peter 2:21)

Today, I want to share with you a very special message on what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. I was sitting in my office late one afternoon. The week was winding down. I was feeling physically, mentally, and spiritually drained. It was one of those quiet reflective moments alone with the Lord, asking Him to fill me afresh with His Spirit. Moments later I was checking my email before heading to the gym for my daily workout when an email caught my eye. It was from someone who said that the message below reminded him of me. As I read the words he sent, I was mesmerized by the words I was reading. When I finished, I was sitting all alone in the quiet of my office and tears were streaming down my cheeks. I remember asking the Lord to please, let this be me today, tomorrow, and forever.

I want to share those powerful words with you today. I have researched their origin. While numerous people have claimed authorship, it is apparent that the author of these powerful words is unknown. They were most likely penned by a martyred missionary in Zimbabwe or an African pastor who gave his life for the faith. I want to you to do me a favor and stop whatever you are doing. NO MULTITASKING! Turn off the TV, the radio, your cell phone, your Blackberry. If you are in your office, tell everyone to leave you alone for a few minutes and lock the door. If you are at home, make sure you have a few moments of complete peace and quiet. Wherever you may be reading this, stop everything and fully concentrate on the words I am going to share with you today.

I’ve separated this into 16 powerful thoughts. Take each one separately and meditate on what it means and how it applies to you. These 16 thoughts pretty well sum up all I have written to you over the course of these past 12+ years. They define what I have challenged you each day to become as a follower of Jesus Christ. I am having a copy made for my home and office. I want to read these words EVERY DAY to remind myself who I am, and who I am supposed to be as follower of Jesus Christ. Please, read these words, meditate on them, and let them bless you today as they have so richly blessed me.

“I’m a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made.

I’m a disciple of His and I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure.

I’m done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.

I don’t have to be right, or first, or tops, or recognized, or praised, or rewarded.

I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by Holy Spirit power.

My face is set. My gait is fast. My goal is heaven.

My road may be narrow, my way rough, my companions few, but my guide is reliable and my mission is clear.

I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice or hesitate in the presence of the adversary.

I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus!

I must give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes.

And when He does come for His own, He’ll have no problems recognizing me. My colors will be clear!”

I love you and care about you so much. Please let this message encourage you and challenge you to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. As you read these words over and over, let the Holy Sprit convict you of those areas you need to do a better job in as a follower of our Lord. I pray that this will be a sentinel moment in your walk with the Lord. If you ever wanted to see a description of what it means to be a follower of Jesus, this is it. I can promise you one thing, if you will work hard each day to become a living example of what each one of these words describe, the world will never doubt who you belong to! I challenge you today to let these words describe YOUR LIFE as a follower of Jesus Christ!

I Have Always Enjoyed History

(Hebrews Chapter 11)

I have always enjoyed history. Two of my favorite television channels are the History Channel and ESPN Classic. In school I loved American History. The incredible stories of how our nation was founded. All of the various wars we have been engaged in throughout our 235 years. Being a sports fan, I enjoy reading about those who pioneered the games of football, basketball, and baseball. So I guess it was natural for me to love the great stories in the Bible, the greatest history book of all time. I love to read the writings of the Jewish historian Josephus. Studying the history of the church throughout the years has been a passion of mine.

What makes history most exciting though is not just the great events, but the men and women who were responsible for, and made those great events happen. Only God knows how many billions of people have lived throughout human history. The fact is, we each make this journey called life just once. It is a very brief journey, measured by an average of only 50 some years. Whatever opportunity we may have to put our stamp on this world we are living in, to contribute to history happens in those few years. Should Christ tarry in His return, the history those in future generations will read about is being made each and every day right now!

With the understanding that this is a brief journey we are on, we should be motivated to get the most out of each and every day. Our focus each day should be on fulfilling our reason for being alive, and that is to serve and glorify the Lord through our lives. I have written previously that the greatest legacy we can leave is the lives we have influenced for Christ throughout our journey. We will live on in those God has brought across our path during our years here on earth. In serving Him, we should not be afraid to dream big. You see my friend, we have a big God. He is only limited by our faith. The Bible says, “Where there is no vision the people perish”. What God needs in these last days more than ever is a people sold out to Him, not afraid to dream big dreams, and have total faith in Him.

Every day people die, and will be forever separated from God because they do not know Christ as their Savior. Every day people all over the world are dealing with the trials and tribulations of every day life, hurting, without hope because they do not know Jesus. God has called us to be the light to this dark world. We must allow Him to use our lives to be that light in the midst of the darkness so many live in. That is what He asks me to do each day, and what He asks you to do each day. As we are faithful over a little, “He makes us ruler over much.” He will use our lives to whatever degree we allow Him to use us.

Our motivation is critical. The Bible teaches in many places that we set our desires on the things of heaven, not on earth. You can spend your entire life trying to be the best athlete, the best businessman. the most successful actress, the recording artist who sells the most records, the top military man in your country, a scientist who makes many wonderful discoveries, or the best at whatever profession you want to name, and you may succeed.

But unless you were doing it for the Lord, allowing the Lord to use your success to bring His message of hope and love through Christ to people, the best you can hope for is a paragraph in history books that one day will no longer exist. That means your lifetime accomplishments are temporal at best. That is why when our motivation is Heaven-bound, the accomplishments have an eternal significance in the changed hearts and eternal souls of people.

I love you and care about you so much. I realize many of you are being buried with the cares of this world today. I work hard each day to encourage you, pray for you, try to help you overcome these distractions since they keep you from fully focusing on all God has planned for your life. It is a tactic of the enemy to keep us so distracted that we aren’t able to be all God calls for us to be. I am praying for you today to see victory over these battles in your life, knowing that God has more for you to do before your journey here is over.

The fact is, there will always be battles in our life, always be distractions. We must deal with those battles but never lose sight of the fact God has a plan and purpose for our life. Many say I’ll serve God when my life is straight. Guess what, your life is never going to be 100% straight, and you are giving the enemy a victory he doesn’t deserve when you do that. Every great man and woman of God fought the daily battles in their personal life. That is part of the human condition. The difference was they didn’t let those battles stop them from being all God called them to be, and serving Him with their life.

It is no accident that you are reading this message today. It is no accident that we are living at this very moment in human history. We can either just live out our time, or we can use this precious gift God has given us to serve Him and glorify Him. I want to personally challenge you today to take 15 minutes during the next 24 hours. Get alone with God, just you and God, and pray this prayer:

“Dear God, here I am. You know all about me. You know my weaknesses, my strengths. You know the battles I am facing in my life right now. But I believe that you have a perfect plan for my life. I want to surrender myself to you this very moment so that your plan for my life might be fulfilled. It is NOT my life, it belongs to you. Show me what you want me to do, and I will do it. Today is the day. Now is the time. Guide me and direct me to do your will. IN Jesus’ name, AMEN”.

Now spend some time with the Lord, and I promise you the Holy Spirit will begin to speak to you, and God will open doors in your life, and He will reveal to you through the Word, through prayer, through other people, through the circumstances in your life what it is He is asking you to do. He will start small, and as you are faithful in a little, He will give you more. TODAY IS THE DAY AND NOW IS THE TIME! It is our turn to make history, eternal history in the lives of hurting and lost people!!!

A Great Tradition at Liveprayer is My Annual New Year’s Resolution Message

(Matthew 24:35)

A great tradition here at Liveprayer is my annual New Year’s resolution message. This the 13th year I have had the honor of sharing this special message, and tens of thousands of people have taken my challenge and read the Bible cover to cover in a year, something less than 10% of people who profess to be Christians have ever done. Have you? If not, I am praying that you will make this YOUR New Year’s resolution for 2012!

Having preached to several hundred thousand people in evangelistic meetings in churches of all denominations throughout the country, having ministered to millions via television and radio through the years, and having prayed for and intimately counseled thousands and thousands of people over my 20 years of ministry…I would have to say the biggest problem I have encountered with Believers is the vast majority have never read the instruction manual!!!

Statistical research shows that less than 10% of professing Christians have ever read the entire Bible. The church as a whole is Biblically illiterate! >From time to time in my Devotional I will give my opinion on an issue and I am very careful to always let you know when it is Bill Keller’s opinion. Most of the time I just let God’s words speak for themselves. There is not one issue, one thing we deal with in everyday life that is not covered in the Bible.

How many people are in terrible marriages where one spouse is a nonbeliever. Do you think God admonished us to “not be unequally yoked” for nothing? How about those dealing with horrible illnesses because they abused themselves over the years with alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and food. Does God not tell us our body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit? How many families are ripped apart by bitterness and hatred when the Bible commands us to “have love one for another,” to “forgive as Christ has forgiven you,” and to “love your enemies.” I have to be honest. In many cases it is not as much rebellion towards God as it is complete ignorance of God’s Word.

Like many men, I get a new electronic toy and the first thing I do is open the box, toss the instructions to the side, and start “putting it together.” Usually after a period of time when it is not working or I have broken something, I grab the instructions and put it together correctly. How much easier would it have been if I had done that first. It is the same in our walk with God. Many people claim they can’t hear God. God may be talking to you and you can’t hear Him because you don’t know what to be listening for. The Bible is one way that God speaks to us. If you want to hear God, just read the Book.

I know that those who get this Devotional each day are of above average intelligence which is why I am very direct and to the point. I share things knowing that you are smart enough to understand what God expects you to do, I don’t have to paint a picture. So if you ever listened to me at all, listen to what I am going to say to you now. This applies to everyone, even those that may have read the Bible cover to cover 100 times.

***It takes an individual of average reading ability 90 hours to read the entire Bible. That is one hour a day for 3 months, or one half hour a day for 6 months, or 15 minutes a day for 12 months. Most people make New Year’s resolutions. Here is one for you with eternal rewards and will be more valuable than losing 10 pounds that you will just put back on. Carve out one hour, 30 minutes, or 15 minutes every day starting January 1st and start reading at Genesis 1:1. One hour, 30 minutes, or 15 minutes, you choose. I suggest that for those 90 days, or 6 months, or the next 12 months, you get up that amount of time earlier than normal and do it the very first thing. Trust me, God will give you the strength you need during the day. Losing a little sleep will not kill you. Quite the opposite. It will save you 100 times that in lost sleep over the years from problems caused because you didn’t take time to read the instruction book.

Now listen, I understand that some of the Old Testament can be dry. The Jewish laws, the genealogy of kings, some of the prophetic books can be very confusing and at times boring. Plug on. Don’t get discouraged because you don’t understand everything you are reading. Having read the Bible cover to cover many, many, many times, each time is a new experience for me. You might have accepted this challenge before. This message is still for you! DO IT AGAIN! YOU CAN NEVER GET TOO MUCH OF GOD’S WORD!!!

WARNING: I am not the Bible answer man so don’t start flooding me with questions. I’ll pray for you anytime, but I cannot handle thousands of Bible questions. I do suggest though you keep a notepad of questions and talk them over with your pastor.

Trust me when I tell you, reading the Bible cover to cover will change your life. You will see things you never thought were in the Bible. You will see God’s warnings and promises to help you through tough times. Most of all, you will start to understand how God thinks. How can you please God if you don’t understand how He thinks? He knows you are not a mind reader. That is one reason He gave you the Bible so you could begin to understand what God expects from your life.

I promise you the time you spend reading the Bible cover to cover will be the most important time of your life. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of what I am challenging you to do. Start at the very beginning. That way you can see God from the creation of our world, to the very end. It is better than any book or movie you have ever read or seen.

The Bible is our final authority for all matters concerning this life. In this day of being politically correct, accepting everyone’s beliefs and ideas, we are in the mess we are morally and spiritually because we have gotten away from the black and white truth of God’s Word. We have no one to blame but ourselves. In this day of instant gratification, drive thru food, cell phones, fax machines, email, Federal Express, jet travel, we want what we want now and refuse to wait.

We have become lazy which is why we don’t take the time to read the Bible. I guarantee you that you will spend 90 hours plus in front of the television, the computer, with the newspaper, or doing something else that you enjoy. I am not saying quit living and enjoying your life. What I am saying is that you have the time, it is only a matter of whether this is a big enough priority for you to take the time.

I love you, care about you, and my heart breaks every day as I read the thousands of prayer requests I receive. How much heartache and pain could have been avoided if people would have only read the Book and followed the instructions. You cannot believe how much sense this life makes when you are living under the direction of God’s Word. As I say often, our way does not work, God’s way does!

I will be praying that the Lord really opens your heart and conviction floods you right now as you read these words. I can’t force you to do it, you have to want to do it. I will be praying and trusting the Holy Spirit to move on your heart to take this challenge, even now as you read these words. This will be the best New Year’s resolution you will ever make.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

The Goal of Every Person Who has Given Their Heart to Christ Must Be to Become Like Him

(1 Peter 2:1-12)

The goal of every person that has given their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ MUST BE to become more like Him each day. This is one of those days when you are going to have to stop all that you are doing, and really listen to and pray about what I am going to share with you. As a matter of fact, I want you to take a moment right now, stop all that you are doing, and ask the Lord to prepare your heart for these words today. Today, I want to challenge you to become more like Jesus.

Sanctification is a process that begins after salvation. The theological definition is God’s gracious and powerful work of making a person holy in heart and conduct through the indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit, applying the death and resurrection of Christ to that person, so he increasingly dies to sin and lives unto righteousness. It is a never-ending process throughout the life of a believer that makes them become more like Jesus each day.

This process does not happen by accident. You do not get saved one day and are like Jesus the next. IT TAKES WORK TO BE LIKE JESUS! What is the best way to become like someone? Spend time with them. If you want to be like Jesus, you have to spend time with Jesus! To be like someone, you not only have to invest time into being with them, you must carefully watch them, see how they act, see how they talk, see how they deal with situations they are faced with. To be like someone, you have to study their life.

Hollywood actors that play the life of a real person will spend months and months studying that person. They will read everything they can find about them. They will watch endless hours of video. If the person is still living, they will often go to physically be with that person for an amount of time. They will spend countless hours becoming that person. If a Hollywood actor is willing to invest all of that time and energy just to play a role in a movie, how much more should we be willing to invest our time and energy into becoming more like Jesus to fulfill our God-given purpose in this life?

You do this by spending time every day with the Lord in prayer. You do this by spending time every day in God’s Word. You do this by being part of a local church where you are not only fed spiritually, but find fellowship with other believers, and for many, find avenues to serve the Lord. Like any relationship, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. The more time you spend with the Lord, the more you will become like the Lord.

What I am challenging you to do today is this. Spend some time in prayer and isolate ONE AREA of your life that needs to be more like Jesus. EVERYONE reading this today has at least one area of their life that they would like to make more like Jesus. For each person, that area will be something different. If you will take some time and pray, God will show you exactly what that area is, though I am sure most already know exactly what area of your life that God is calling you to work on.

Take the next 30 days and focus specifically on making the area of your life God is convicting you about more like Jesus. The first question is how would Jesus handle this area of His life. Study the Word, pray, God will show you. The goal then is to work hard over the next 30 days, spend a few days fasting, make it your prayer focus, to making that area of your life God shows you more like Jesus.

I love you and care about you so much. I will be praying for you today. I want you to take this challenge seriously and to work hard on making whatever area of your life God showed you to be more like Jesus. Becoming like Jesus is not something that happens overnight. As a matter of fact, once we get the victory over one area of our life, God will show us another area that needs work. No matter how long you walk with the Lord, no matter how close to the Lord you may become, there will ALWAYS be areas of your life that you need to work on. May God give you His strength and wisdom over these next 30 days as you work on becoming more like Jesus!

“Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, the living Stone — rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him — you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:1-5

Forward this to someone that you know who is lost, and pray that God will open their hearts to receive HIS gift to the world… JESUS CHRIST! Today is the day we celebrate the greatest gift ever given. We celebrate today the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God’s gift to the world. Today is truly a day of rejoicing. Because of this gift from God, we can be forgiven of our sins and reunited with our Creator for eternity.

So much of what I deal with each day in this Devotional is to help you walk through this short journey here on earth victoriously and productively. But we must never forget that our time here is very brief and there is an eternity waiting for us when this journey is complete. I want to focus for just a minute on this most blessed day, to that split second when our life on this earth is finished and we are launched into eternity. Do you this day have the assurance that when your life is complete, your eternity is going to be spent in Heaven?

If the answer to that question is anything but a resounding YES, then let me just share this simple truth with you. You see, our God, our Creator so loved this world, so loved His creation, that He sent His son, His only Son to be part of this world. Jesus had one mission in this life. It wasn’t to be a great teacher, though He was a great teacher. It wasn’t to be a great prophet, though He was a great prophet. It wasn’t to be a great miracle worker, though He did work many great miracles. No my friend, Jesus came to this world with only one job…to die.

You see, the reason it was vital for Jesus to be immaculately conceived by God and born of a virgin was so that He was not infected with the same problem you and I were born into this life with….sin. Otherwise, the best He could have done was die for His own sins. Jesus lived on this earth for some 33 years before it was time to complete His work. That work was finished on a cross on the hill called Calvary where He hung and then died as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of this world.

That is why, whosoever believes in Jesus, shall not perish for eternity, but have everlasting life! Believing in Jesus is the only way to be saved because it was Jesus who died and was sacrificed for our sins. There are no other ways to be saved, no other roads back to God, there are no other plans of salvation. This is God’s one and only plan to reconcile his fallen creation back to Himself. This is the only way you can escape eternity apart from the God who created you in His own image. It is through His grace and by faith in Jesus Christ!

There are many incredible mysteries in the Bible. There are many doctrinal issues that will never be fully understood until we are in Heaven. But God made the most important decision of this life very easy and simple to understand. He gave every one the opportunity to have their sins washed away and be assured of an eternity in Heaven.

That is why we celebrate Christmas today! That is why we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The most important decision you will make in this life is not who you will marry, where you will live, what kind of job you will have. The most important decision you will make in this life is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

If you have not done that yet, the Bible says that today is the day of salvation. I would invite you to go to my website, http://www.liveprayer.com and click on the button that says PLAN OF SALVATION ( direct link: http://www.liveprayer.com/plan.cfm ). Read those words, pray that prayer, and accept today God’s gift to you this Christmas, the gift of His son Jesus.

I love you and care about you deeply. For those of you who already know Christ as your Savior, I would encourage you to forward this email to someone you know who is lost and without hope this Christmas. What better present to give someone than the opportunity to know Jesus as their Savior.

I pray today that you will take time out of the busy day of travel, visiting friends and family, to focus on the gift God has given to us in His son Jesus. He gave His very best gift to us, which is why I will continue to encourage you to give your very best everyday to Him.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
