Can A Jewish Person Go to Heaven

(Genesis 12:1-7, 13:14-16, 15:18; Deuteronomy 9:4-6; Joshua 1:1-11, 21:43-45)

Recently, there has been a swirl of controversy in the news whether a Jewish person can go to heaven or not. The answer is a resounding YES!!! God’s free gift of everlasting life is available to ALL MEN! A Jewish person cannot go to Heaven just be being born a Jew. They are saved like all men, and that is by putting their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. A Jewish person by virtue of their birth is one of God’s “chosen people,” but like everyone else, each one will be held accountable for their sins. God’s only plan of redemption is by faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Pray today for those Jewish men and women you may know, to give their heart and life to the Messiah–Jesus!!!

Giving away the land that God gave to the children of Israel, to their enemies. Please, do yourself a favor right now and get your Bible and sit down and spend the next 10 minutes reading the anchor verses for today, Genesis 12:1-7, 13:14-16, 15:18; Deuteronomy 9:4-6; Joshua 1:1-11; 21:43-45. You could spend hours reading all the passages in God’s Word that confirm that modern-day Israel is the land God promised to Abraham and gave to His children. You do not have to be a Bible scholar to quickly realize in just the few key passages I have given you today that the land of Israel is indeed the exact land God Himself promised to His children 4,000 years ago, and fulfilled that promise in 1385 B.C. when Joshua took possession of that land.

Having laid the Biblical case to support that the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people, now you can see why giving away even one inch of that land to anyone else is going against God Himself. No person, no nation, has the right to give away what God promised and gave to the Jewish people. Those who do make themselves an enemy of God! Over and over throughout the Bible and human history, nations have invaded this land, taken it over, only to be defeated in the end. The land of Israel is only 20,330 sq km, slightly smaller than the state of New Jersey. Out of the billions of square miles that exist on this earth, this is the only place on the planet God literally promised and gave to His children. For anyone to go in and try to give a piece of that land away is foolish.

That is why the current “peace plan” the United States has had such a large role in working out will never work and has actually put our nation on the opposite side of God again! (Note: Hurricane Katrina was NOT punishment from God because of our role in giving away Israel’s land as some are claiming.) Let me be clear. The Gaza Strip belongs to ISRAEL! The West Bank belongs to ISRAEL! Jerusalem, all of it, belongs to ISRAEL! For this nation to be involved in any deals, even under the guise of “peace,” that involves giving away the land God gave to the children of Israel is taking on God Himself! Not to mention that this land is being given away to the ENEMIES OF ISRAEL!!!

My friend, one of the problems many have with the Bible is that they can’t understand why a God of love would command His children to go to war and “Kill every man, woman, child, and living thing” as He did many times in the Old Testament. The reason was this. God in His omniscience knew that the enemies of Israel, those who came to possess their land, had no desire for peace but the complete destruction and annihilation of the Jewish people. The complete obliteration of the Jewish people was their ONLY goal, not peace. Sadly, there are some people who have no desire for peace, only death and destruction and you either destroy them or they destroy you. That is one of the sad realties of living in this fallen and evil world.

For those who oppose the war in Iraq, they either don’t understand or are completely blind to the fact that there are people on this planet whose only goal is the complete destruction of the United States and every person who lives here. That means you and your family too! I am thankful that this current administration understands this fact and that the peace-nuts we see on TV constantly don’t have the power to impose their Pollyanna views of life on the defense policies of this nation or we would all be in grave danger. The sad reality is that there are very real people alive this very moment whose very real goal is the complete destruction of the United States. We will either kill them or they will kill us. We are blessed that our forefathers understood the evil that exits in this world or we would not be here today, enjoying the wonderful freedoms and life we do.

Israel also clearly understands the reality that there are people who desire their death and destruction. They don’t have the luxury of great oceans on either side as we do and their enemies literally live all around them. That is what makes this current “peace plan” so silly. To actually take some of the small amount of land that belongs to Israel and literally give it to their enemies is absurd and ridiculous. It will only embolden and empower those who seek the destruction of Israel. Again, make no mistake about it. While we and others seek “peace,” it takes TWO to make peace. Despite the claims by the Palestinian leadership, their goal is NOT peace but the destruction of Israel.

I have always been amused at why anyone thinks it is necessary to give the little strip of land God gave to Israel away to her enemies, when Israel is surrounded by Arab nations with VAST AMOUNTS of land who could easily assimilate their Arab brothers into their countries. Why do the Palestinians have to live on the land God gave to Israel when there is plenty of land in neighboring Arab countries they could live on? What is wrong with a “peace plan” that gave some of the land in surrounding Arab countries to the Palestinians?

I love you and care about you so much. I want to close today with a powerful promise God made to Abraham 4,000 years ago in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” This one verse of Scripture is why what is happening in Israel right now is so critical to THIS NATION! In being part of a plan to give away the land God gave to Israel to anyone, especially her enemies who seek her destruction, puts us on the wrong side of God. We should be seeking the BLESSINGS of God, not His CURSES!

Know that I am praying for you today. Even though most Jewish people have rejected Christ as their Savior, blinded to the reality that He is the Messiah they were promised in the Old Testament, they were, are, and always will be God’s chosen people. The promise God gave Abraham in Genesis 12:3 is still in effect today. Our Christian faith is traced back through the children of Israel. The last events of this world will be played out in Israel. That is why we need to pray for and support the Jewish people and God’s plan for the land of Israel. Our blessings in life come from following God not being in opposition to God!

In His love and service,

I Am at a Crossroads

(John 3:16)

I am at a crossroads. In 2007, I wrote a Devotional stating that 2008 would be a monumental year, a year of great change. It was. We saw the financial crisis that has impacted tens of millions of people in this nation, hundreds of millions more around the world explode. We saw the election of a new President who has spent his first two years in office taking a stand for everything God opposes and helping to lead this nation deeper into the spiritual abyss.

While over 12,000 churches have shut down, 120,000 non-profit organizations closed their doors, and with the property of nearly 40,000 churches in foreclosure, Liveprayer has continued to press forward despite seeing a 67% drop in donations from 2008 and losing 29 of our core group of 30 people who had the ability in times of financial difficulty to be able to overnight or wire $10,000-$30,000 to help us over a rough edge.

That is why over the past year I have had to come to you more often than I would like to ask you to pray about supporting His work here. During the first 9 years of Liveprayer, we only had to share our needs 3-4 times a month. With the economic downturn in the nation, we now have to share our needs 11-12 times each month, though it is still less than 3% of the content we produce each month.

Due to our extreme financial crisis at Liveprayer, I have cut my personal salary from $36,000 to just $12,000 for the past 2 years, and that is only in order to pay the most basic needs to survive each month. I have poured my heart, soul, life, and even blood at times into God’s work here the past 12 years to reach the lost and see HIS Truth declared in the marketplace, something few are willing to do, to be a rare bold, umcompromised voice for Biblical Truth in this lost age.

As I type these words tonight, I am at the end. Simply sustaining our daily operations is now a daily task. Simply paying for basic personal needs is becoming more difficult. For nearly 20 years, I have literally sacrifice my life, my time, my talent, and my treasure to bring the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and HIS Truth boldly and without compromise into the marketplace, as very few are doing, virtually none at a national level in the secular media

Don’t think for a second I am not of flesh and blood and think about how I could have simply fallen into line like the rest. Gone on Christian TV, brought false hope into people’s lives, never talked about sin or the hell that awaits those who reject Jesus, compromise and take the money from cult members, and totally sold out the faith in order to be politically correct and generate tens of millions annually to live like a rock star.

However, at the end of this life, I will stand before God our Creator like each person will. I will give an account for my life. The one thing I can honestly say when I die is that I never wavered, I never backed down from telling people the raw Truth of His Word, and that I never hesitated to boldly declare the only hope for each man is faith in Jesus Christ. That my friend, will be my lasting testimony!!!

I come today asking you to help me. Over nearly 12 years, Liveprayer has sent personal responses to over 70 MILLION emails. We still get over 40,000 a day. Tens of millions of live worldwide have been impacted. Over 500,000 we know of have come to faith in Jesus. THIS IS MY ETERNAL LEGACY AND MY TRACK RECORD OF SERVICE THESE PAST 12 YEARS!!! MY JOB IS NOT FINISHED!!!

All we have done has only been possible by dear friends like you who have prayed for me, and sacrificed to support me financially. In these 12 years, I have never asked for anything for myself, and despite sacrificing the vast bulk of what little personal compensation I took for several years, leaving me over $50,000 in current debts, my only goal today is to cover the $28,000 I need to simply keep Liveprayer alive for one more month. This is the way we have operated each month for the past 12 years. I have simply asked the Lord to provide what I need to get to the next month.

For those who have been part of the Liveprayer family for these many years, you know that I have never sent a Devotional like this unless it was an emergency. I don’t play games when it comes to the finances. I simply share our needs, get on my knees, and trust God to move on the hearts of people to provide for our needs.

My friend, I am counting on you today. I need to hear from you today. This is critical, and I desperately need your help. We are so close to seeing the fulfillment of all Liveprayer has been raised up to be. I can’t see everything stop now over a few thousand dollars, even if it was a million dollars. Somebody will lose that tonight in Vegas. Will you reach down, make the sacrifce, and help me today??? I desperately need you and will be in prayer for the Lord to move on your heart to help me!

The fact is, I need to bring in $68,000 to get our basic operational expenses up to date! If you have the liquid cash to wire to our bank, please email me at: bkeller@livepryaer.com and I will get you the info. If you are able to send a gift of $2,000 or more, FedEx it to our office in St. Petersburg, feel free to mark “bill recipient” and they will be our special account. After 12 years of pouring out my sweat and blood, literally 24/7, I will not see God’s work here slowed down or thwarted, and definitely not shut down. There are enough people with resources who can help me.

WE HAVE THE ABILITY, BASED ON 12 YEARS OF PIONEERING THE INTERNET AND BRINGING CHRIST TO THE MASSES ON SECULAR TV, OF BEING GOD’S AGENT TO TURN THIS NATION BACK TO OUR CREATOR AND HIS TRUTH. THE TIME IS NOW, OUR OPPORTUNITY IS UPON US, AND NOW MORE THAN EVER I NEED YOU TO HELP ME!

Please don’t think that just because there are 2.4 million subscribers, someone else will take care of this. It has been friends like YOU over the years who God has spoken to, who have responded, who has made Liveprayer available to bring hope and salvation to so many. It will take someone like YOU today.

Also, I know there is someone reading these words who God has richly blessed, you have been praying about a place to use your resources where God can multiply them exponentially in the lives and eternal souls of men. THIS IS IT! CONTACT ME AND LET’S CHAT HOW YOU CAN HELP ME!!!

I love you and care about you so much. Do you want to do something great for God with your life??? STAND WITH ME!!! I CAN’T DO THIS ALONE!!! I am asking you today to simply pray about what God may be calling you to do to help me with this effort. I am also asking you to please forward this to every person you know, personally reach out to those who God has blessed with financial resources and encourage them to support this new work, and share this email with your pastor and ask him to pray about having your church make a special missions gift towards this effort. I will keep you posted how we are doing with our financial goals over the coming weeks and months.

When this brief journey through life is over, what do we have to show for it? The only lasting legacy we have are those things we did for the Lord. I have taken my stand and will proclaim His truth with my dying breath. Today, I am asking you to pray about joining me and let’s turn this nation back to God and His Truth!!!

Will you stand and fight with me???????

Getting You Through the Difficult Times

(Proverbs 14:23)

As you can imagine, each day the volume of emails that pour into Liveprayer.com are mostly prayer requests from people living through very difficult circumstances in their life. The special word I have for you today is this. “God wants to help you change your circumstances!” While prayer needs to be the first thing that we do, and will be a key part of the process throughout, God expects us to do our part in the changing of our circumstances.

So many people who are hurting, in the midst of dealing with great problems in their life, will simply live each day with those problems and do nothing. My friend, your circumstances are not going to change until YOU make the effort to change them. You are not going to magically wake up one morning and have everything be OK. That is not reality. If you want things to change, YOU need to be an active part of making that happen.

Like everything, there is a right way and a wrong way to make changes in your life. As I mentioned, prayer is the first step. The second step is getting a gameplan. Use others in your life that you can trust to help you formulate that plan. The plan will usually not be something outlandish, but will normally be very practical and based on good common sense. Also, whatever plan that the Lord helps you to formulate, realize that it will not be something that will cause things to magically change overnight. You didn’t get into the problems that you are facing overnight, and rarely will God deliver you from them overnight.

Many times, our problems can be traced to sin, rebellion, in our life. Doing things our way instead of God’s way. Once we decide to turn to God, He will help us work our way out of the problem over a period of time. It is never easy, but we start to learn basic principles like self-discipline, operating in His strength and not ours, depending on Him each step of the way. Theses are good elements that we should learn to incorporate into our daily lives to help us avoid many of the problems life throws at us in the first place.

Once you have the plan and are working it faithfully each day, you will start to see things in your life change for the better. Again, the changes won’t happen overnight, but gradually, day by day. The worst thing that you can do though is do nothing. You can not expect your circumstances to change by doing nothing.

The reason I find most people don’t take an active role in the changing of their circumstances is because as painful as things may be, they are afraid of change. The Bible tells us we are not to have a spirit of fear. If you are serious about seeing your circumstances change, you must get serious about trusting God to help you make those changes. We are often more comfortable living in the pain we know, than trusting God who has promised to help us gain victory.

I love you and care about you so much. I pray today that those of you who are dealing with circumstances in your life that need to be changed, will heed this special word today, and get serious about making those changes. God will give you the wisdom to formulate a workable plan, He will give you the strength each day to follow through, and He will lead you to victory.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN PAIN ANY LONGER. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES YOU ARE IN ANY LONGER. TODAY IS YOUR DAY. TODAY IS YOUR DAY. TODAY IS YOUR DAY. NOW IS THE TIME. TRUST GOD AND LET HIM LEAD YOU OUT OF EGYPT, AND INTO THE PROMISED LAND. THE SAME GOD THAT LED THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FROM BONDAGE MANY YEARS AGO, IS THE SAME GOD WHO WILL LEAD YOU OUT OF BONDAGE TODAY!!!

As we head into the final 4 days of July, please pray about what God is asking YOU to do to help me this month. We still need to bring in $30,000 to cover the balance of our July operational budget, and the final $30,000 of the $150,000 I asked the Lord to deliver by the end of April so we could catch up all that we were in arrears. That is $60,000 we need to bring in over the next 4 days. Please take a moment and pray for theses needs to be met, and for what the Lord is speaking to your heart to do to help me.

The Mentally Disturbed Man in Norway is NOT a Christian

(Jeremiah 6:10; Proverbs 29:18)

The mentally disturbed man in Norway who killed all of those people last Friday is NOT a “Christian” as the press has falsely saying he was!!! Anders Behring Breivik has been labeled by the press as a “fundamentalist Christian.” While Breivik claims to be a Protestant Christian, his 1500 page manifesto says that he is not religious, doesn’t pray, doubts the very existence of God, and embraces Darwinism over the Biblical account of creation, stating “that science takes an undisputed precedence over Biblical teachings.”

I have done numerous press interviews this week about this issue, and took each opportunity to harshly condemn what Breivik did. These are not the actions of a true a follower of Jesus Christ or anyone who believes what the Bible teaches. Just because a mentally sick individual claims to be a Christian, it doesn’t mean that he is.

It is clear from his voluminous writings, Breivik advocated killing Muslims. Right there, you know this man was not a Christian. That is what the followers of the false relgion of Islam are taught. Kill the infidels, those who won’t convert to the lies of Islam. That is why his actions were not of the God of the Bible, but satan himself! For Breivik to encourage people to commit these violent acts, clearly means he is a follower of satan, NOT Jesus!!!

During the interviews I gave on this topic, I was asked about the difference between an act of terror committed by someone like a Breivik and those committed by someone who claims to be of the Muslim faith. I shared that when someone like this mentally unstable man in Norway, or a Timothy McVeigh, commit and act of terror, they are doing so in complete contradiction to the teachings of the Bible. When a Muslim commits acts of terror or “jihad,” they are doing so in complete obedience to what the Qu’ran and their false relgion teaches.

I told them that when you see someone claiming to be a Christian bombing an abortion clinic, or killing an abortion doctor, or physically attacking someone who has chosen to engage in act of homosexuality, they are not following the teachings of Jesus and how the Bible teaches us to live. However, when a Muslim commits acts of terror, they are simply following the teachings of their false relgion. Islam has a 1400 year recorded history of violence, terrorism, and death.”

In this politically correct society we find ourselves in, there is still one group of people that you can bash, make fun of, castigate, lie about, and make the butt of any joke without fear of repercussions . . . born-again Christians. I am always amused as I watch news reports that sports teams like the Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, and Washington Redskins may have to change their nicknames after all of these years due to the outrage of some Native American groups of how it puts them in a bad light. Many colleges that had Native American nicknames have recently capitulated and under pressure changed their name.

Women’s groups are incensed when they feel people are not being “gender correct” in their speech. This has even been an issue in some of our churches with the anointed old hymns of our faith being rewritten to become “gender neutral.” Even versions of the Bible are being changed to accommodate those offended by the masculine words used for God.

So you understand why Christians are such an easy target, you have to understand a couple of points. First, the Bible clearly tells us that the Gospel is offensive to the unbeliever. Regardless the stats Barna or any other pollster may tell us, people who are born-again, committed in their walk with Christ make-up a very small percentage of our society. There are lots of people who may sit in pews on Sunday morning, but the actual number of people who have committed their lives to Christ by faith is a small percentage of our society.

Secondly, Christians are one of the most ineffective “groups” in our society at getting their message out. The Christian community has been very weak in taking its message of hope and love through God’s Son Jesus Christ to the public at large. We have broken ourselves off into so many different denominations and factions that our voice is little more than a whisper over the din of public debate. Because of the hardened hearts of sinful men, and our own ineffectiveness to articulate our message to the masses, we have become an easy target for the lost masses.

I love you and care about you so much. Pray for the people of Norway as they heal from this horrible nightmare perpetrated, not by a Christian, but by a mentally deranged man acting under the influence of satan himself. Hold in prayer the families of those who were killed and injured, that they may find the Lord’s strenght during this difficult time. May those who know the Lord in that nation, rise up and help to bring healing to their nation.

While the world mocks and demeans Christians, we should be encouraged to be even more bold in our Christian lives. Many of you have caught the vision God has for Liveprayer. Using the modern technology that has primarily been used by the gods of this world, and having the simple message of hope and love in Christ to hurting people, over 12 years we have impacted millions of lives around the world. Now, this ministry God has raised up in these last days has been called to be a gathering place for His remnant in these last days and to lead this nation back to the Almighty and His Truth, while leading the lost to faith in Christ.

That is why, now more than I ever, I need your prayers and support of this work. The window is open, NOW is the time to take this message to the world at large in ways never done before. The world has developed a sophisticated way to get their message out through the media and advertising. With your help, Liveprayer has tapped into that same world system to share the hope and love of Christ with the lost and hurting masses.

Many of you get so upset about the way Christians are falsely characterized and treated. Be of good cheer, our Lord has overcome this world. We have a higher calling. Being ridiculed, even persecuted for our message is part of it. Jesus was crucified for simply sharing the love of God. Stephen was stoned for simply telling people Jesus was the way, the truth, the life! As both Jesus and Stephen did, let us pray for those who bash Christians, since they simply don’t know what they are doing. At the same time, let us be even more diligent about taking our message of life to this sin-filled and dying world. The more they bash us, the better we must be doing. If we were not being effective, the enemy would not be concerned.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

Sharing Your Faith with Others is Like Praying

(Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 1:23; 2 Timothy 4:2; 1 Peter 3:15)

Sharing your faith with others is like praying, there is only one wrong way to do it and that is not to do it! Over the years there have been thousands of books and tapes produced on witnessing, one evangelism program after another created, and the fact is they are ALL great. You can never learn too much about how to witness to others, how to share your faith. The reality is there is no one way to do it, but many different approaches. In the end, however, they all lead a person to the eternal choice they must make about Jesus.

You have to remember that each person who shares their faith is unique and different in how God has wired them, each person you witness to is unique and different in how God has wired them, and the circumstances and dynamics each time you share your faith are also unique and different. That is why today I wanted to take some time to share with you a simple way to witness and lead someone to faith in Jesus Christ.

The number one reason people don’t share their faith more often, and sadly in the case of most Christians who fail to do it at all, is fear. The biggest fear is the fear of rejection. Witnessing has many similarities to sales which is why you find people who are most proficient at witnessing are usually great sales people. In the world of sales the first thing you learn about is rejection. A good salesperson is able to hear 99 people say no and go into that 100th sales presentation just like it was the first.

That is not easy to do and why it is a gift to be a great salesperson. Even if you are not a natural salesperson, the key is to never forget that if someone says no when you share with them how they can be saved, it is not you but Jesus they are rejecting. Just like a good salesperson never takes it personally when someone turns them down, you can’t ever take it personally when someone you ask to commit their life to Christ says no. Again, they are saying no to Jesus, not you.

Also, the key to being a good salesperson is being a good closer. You will never get the sale if you don’t ask for it, and you will never see someone come to Christ if you don’t ask them to. The basic rule of Sales 101 is ABC or, Always Be Closing. The basic rule to Evangelism 101 is asking the person you are witnessing to if they would like to know Jesus as their personal Savior. At the end of a sales presentation you have to ask the person for the sale, and at the end of sharing the Gospel you have to ask the person to accept the Lord.

Another fear so many people have is being asked questions they can’t answer. You don’t have to be a theologian to tell people about Jesus. If they ask you a question you don’t know the answer to, simply tell them you don’t know but will find out. Contact your pastor or your Sunday School teacher or someone at your church for the answer. This is why the more we read and study God’s Word for ourselves the more confidence we will have when we are confronted with different questions.

However, never forget that most people asking questions are not really interested in the answer as they are in trying to justify their own unbelief. Most ask questions as a way of proving that we are “wrong” and they are “right.” People who reject God’s Word and the love of Christ in their life, will use questions there may not even be an answer to, to feel better about their choice to reject the Lord. That is why I will answer their questions, but immediately put the focus back on them and the choice they have to make regarding accepting Jesus in their heart.

The other great fear people have about sharing their faith is offending the person you are talking to about the Lord and what ramifications there may be to them personally. So rather than offend someone, rather than deal with whatever persecution there might be, they simply say nothing. Listen, it is better you offend someone with the hopes of them coming to know the Lord than sitting back and saying nothing, while they die in their sins and are lost for all eternity.

It is better someone calls you “Bible thumper,” “stupid for believing the Bible,” “intolerant,” “hateful,” “no different than the Taliban,” or whatever else they may say to you to try and intimidate you into being silent, than saying nothing knowing they will die one day and spend eternity in hell. The fact is the Gospel IS offensive to those who reject it, but it is the words of everlasting life to those who choose to believe.

I love you and care about you so much. The bottom line is that God has commanded us, not suggested to us, that we share our faith in Christ with others. This is not a commandment to just pastors or evangelists, but to EVERYONE who knows Christ as their Lord and Savior. If you really love someone, how can you let them die, knowing that without Christ they will be lost for all eternity, without telling them about Jesus?

I will be praying for you today, praying that you won’t allow fear to keep you from being obedient to God and telling others about Jesus. The easiest and most natural way to approach someone about faith in Christ is by simply sharing what Jesus has done and meant in your life. There is no way to deny what you have personally experienced in your relationship with the Lord.

Today, I rebuke that sprit of fear of rejection, I rebuke that sprit of fear of questions you can’t answer, I rebuke that spirit of fear of offending someone by telling them about Jesus, I rebuke that sprit of fear of being persecuted for sharing the Gospel. I pray that God will give you a spirit of BOLDNESS and COURAGE as you tell others about how they too can know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior!

I take a very direct approach to witnessing. I look the person in the eye and ask them if they believe they will die one day. Of course they say yes. I then ask them if they believe they have ever sinned. Again, they will say yes. I tell them that they are right, they have sinned and they will die one day. I remind them that the Bible says tomorrow is promised to none of us and that each day is literally a gift from God.

I go on by telling them that it is their sin that is separating them from a Holy God who loves them so much and desires for them to spend all eternity with Him. I tell them that is only possible because of what Jesus did. He willingly died on the cross for our sins and that is why if you will confess Him as your Savior, ask Him into your heart and life by faith, HE will forgive you of your sins and you are guaranteed to spend eternity with God your Creator when this brief life is over.

I share with them that this choice not only has eternal ramifications, but means something to them right now. Those who know Jesus as their Savior have the power of God residing within them, and can know the peace, the joy, and the abundance of this life that is impossible without Christ. Additionally, they can see the plan and purpose God has for them fulfilled during their brief journey here on earth.

At that point I simply ask them if they would like to know Jesus as their personal Savior. If they say no, I tell them that I will be praying for them and that they need to spend some time alone with God and pray about what I told them. I remind them that God loves them and He is there when they are ready. If they say yes, I spend a few moments to make sure they know that what they are doing is literally giving their very life to Christ. He gave His life for them, and they are now giving their life back to Him.

The key for you to remember is that this is a personal decision each person has to make for themselves. Nobody can make it for them, you can’t force them, or intimidate them, or scare them into making it. It has to be a conscious choice that they make. When they are ready, I simply have them pray with me what is commonly called the “Sinner’s Prayer.” This prayer does not exist in the Bible, though it is taken largely from Romans Chapter 10. These words don’t save anyone but are simply a verbal guide for what they are doing BY FAITH in their heart.

“God, I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. I believe in my heart, and confess with my lips, that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart Jesus. Take my life, I surrender it to you. From this moment on, I will live my life according to the Bible and serve you. Thank you for taking away my sins and giving me everlasting life. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen”

Leaving It All on the Field

(Matthew 5:14-16)

Back in early June 2004, I had the special treat of being one of over 22,000 people at the St. Petersburg Times Forum in Tampa, Florida cheering the Tampa Bay Lightning on to victory over the Calgary Flames in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. For a hockey fan, there can be no greater experience than a game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals as both teams live and die with each shift for 60 minutes. When it is over, to the winning team goes arguably the most prized trophy in professional sports, Lord Stanley’s Cup.

As I watched the Lightning hang on through the final 10 minutes of the game to win 2-1, saw the players skating around the ice with the Stanley Cup hoisted above their heads to the roar of the crowd having achieved the ultimate goal every hockey player dreams of, here is what I was thinking. When the child of God completes his work here on earth, it is the goal of each one to enter into the gates of Heaven with the angels cheering, and instead of receiving a silver trophy, it is to simply stand in the presence of our Lord and Savior and hear Him say, “Well done thou good and faithful servant!”

For those who play sports or enjoy watching sports, you will recognize this phrase. It is something coaches often tell their players before a big game, “leave it all on the field!” It basically means to give everything you have. Don’t hold anything back. A sporting event has a predetermined amount of time in which it is played. The goal is to give your very best effort in that amount of time, since when the game is over, it is too late to effect the outcome. In that given amount of time you have to sacrifice everything you have to help your team be victorious. There is no reason to hold back, since when the game is over it won’t matter.

How much our Christian life is like a sporting event, YET OF INCREDIBLY GREATER SIGNIFICANCE BECAUSE OUR ETERNAL DESTINATION IS AT STAKE! We have a predetermined amount of time, our life. When it is over, it is too late. The only difference in this analogy is that God is the official clock-keeper and we do not have the advantage of knowing how much time is left. ALL THE MORE REASON WE SHOULD GIVE 100%, MAXIMUM EFFORT EACH AND EVERY DAY!

Can you imagine a football team playing a game when they did not know how much time was left on the clock? The game could end at any minute. A strategy designed for a 60 minute contest would dramatically change, and coaches would be looking to score on every play since they never would know when it would be their last.

At this point, you may be a little confused about what point I am trying to get across to you today. It is simply this. While so many things in the world are distracting us, taking our focus off of the Lord, the simple fact is we are here to serve and glorify Him with our lives. THAT purpose must never be lost in our daily lives. Achieving that goal must never be forgotten in the business, the hustle and bustle of this world we live in.

We are very much like an athletic team in the sense we are here to win, win for Jesus. By accepting Him into your heart and life, you have already won the battle for the eternal destination of your soul, but the game does not end there, it starts there. You are now part of a team, God’s team, and the team has a goal to share the message of hope and love through His Son Jesus Christ with this lost world. As part of God’s team, you are expected to do your best each day to help the team win.

Every year in late March, the NCAA basketball tournament starts with 65 teams. One of the wonders of this tournament each year are the small, mostly unknown schools who do well. They are able to compete with larger schools, who have better players because they play a complete team game. Each player has his role, accepts that role, and plays to the best of his ability to help team win. As part of God’s team, we too have a role to play. God has given us gifts and talents to play the role He calls us to play each day. Throughout our lives He will often change that role, but will always equip us and make us adequate to perform the job He has called us to do.

I love you and care about you very much. God has made each one of us special. Not only are we created in His image, but we are part of God’s team. The great thing about God’s team, is NOBODY sits on the bench. We are ALL in the game, ALL the time! My word for you today is “leave it all on the field!” You see my friend, when this life is over, it is over.

We don’t know how much time we have left to compete, to serve Him. So every morning we must wake up and get out on the field of play and give everything we have. Too long God’s team has dogged it. That is an athletic term for not giving their best effort. Too many of God’s players have been resting on the sidelines. Too many of God’s players are back in the locker room watching TV, having a cold drink, taking it easy.

There is nothing wrong with taking a time-out to rest once in a while, but the battle rages on, the game continues, and now more than ever God needs His team on the field competing with everything they have! Some may say, “we already know that our team wins at the end, why should we try so hard?” Fair question. The answer is the people on the other team. Not only do we know God wins, but we know what happens to those on the losing team. THAT is our motivation for fighting each day. To help as many on the other team come over to God’s team.

I will be praying for you today. Let this word today be a wake-up call, a call to action. Get out on the field, and give God 100% of your effort. We don’t know how long we have to play, so don’t hold anything back. LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller

The Top News Stories All have a Spiritual Component to Them

(1 Samuel 4:10,11)

What does the fight in Washington to raise the debt ceiling, the implementation of “don’t ask, don’t tell” in the military, and the start of same sex marraige in New York mean to you and to this nation, and why they are important. I could talk about any number of pressing issues in the news today, but I wanted to deal with what appears to be a financial issue, a military issue, and a civil rights issue, and why each one is actually a spiritual issue that affects the spiritual course of this nation and why you should be paying close attention to each one.

Unlike the thousands of radio and TV pundits, newspaper columnists, and internet bloggers, I am going to give you insight on the current fight in Washington to raise the debt ceiling that you haven’t and won’t hear. As a matter of fact, it is the most important commentary on this financial crisis you will ever hear. Up front, I could care less about the politics of this debate. That is what the politicians do, fight this crisis at that level. I am sharing with you today that this fight over raising the debt ceiling is really not a political issue it is a spiritual issue!

I submit to you today that the debt crisis this nation is facing is not a financial problem but a spiritual problem. This nation long ago abandoned any resemblance to Biblcial principles in the stewardship of the finances of this nation, and we are now in a fiscal crisis that could easily bring this nation to its’ knees. I told you back in 2008 as the financial crisis in this nation began to unfold and felt by millions of people, that God was allowing this to happen as a form of His judgment on our sinful and wicked nation that has turned its’ back on Him and Biblcial Truth.

Let me reiterate the critical point I just made so you fully comprehend it. The debt crisis we are facing as a nation, that is being highlighted by this debate to raise the debt ceiling, is more than capable of destroying this once great nation. Even if the politicians come up with a quick fix to raise the debt ceiling, it means nothing. You will soon see the financial markets respond negatively, and you will see the credit rating of this nation lowered, affecting every person who uses a credit card, buys a car, gets a mortgage, or purchases anyhting on credit. It is inevitable since the debt we are carrying, along with our current and future obligations to entitlement programs is unsustainable.

Let me also reiterate that this is NOT a financial crisis, it is a spritual crisis! We have abandoned God and His Truth for the false gods and idols and lies of this fallen world. As I have told you many times over the past 3 years, God is using the economy as a form of His wrath and judgment on our nation!!!

In the past, I have written about the repeal of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that will allow men and women who CHOOSE to engage in homosexual acts to openly serve. This is not a military issue, or a social issue, it is a spiritual issue! Since the revolutionary war and founding of this country, the United States has had the greatest military in human history. As our nation’s military allows men and women who have chosen to engage in unnatural, unhealthy, and perverted sexual acts to openly serve, that will no longer be the case.

As I type these words today, I can assure you that the hand of God’s protection on this nation’s military will be lifted. In the future, we will go into battle, not with the sword of the Lord before us, but on our own without His protection. In the Old Testament, we read about the great military Israel had. We also read that when the nation became lost in sin, had turned against the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, God took His hand off of their great armies and allowed the enemies of Israel to defeat them.

Don’t ever forget, it was a homosexual private named Bradley Manning who committed possibly the greatest act of treason against this nation in history by giving hundreds of thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks, simply because he was mad he couldn’t engage in openly homosexual activity! In the coming years, you will remember these words as the moment God took His hand off our military and allowed our enemies to prevail against us!

Lastly, you have the start of same sex marriage in New York state Sunday. As much as this has been falsely presented as a civil rights issue, it is really a spiritual issue. With New York now allowing homosexual couples to marry, you have 7 states plus the District of Columbia, that have legalized same sex marriage. I will never forget doing Devotionals 10 years ago, telling people this day was coming, and being lambasted as a fear monger, paranoid, or jsut crazy.

I told you 10 years ago there was a very strategic effort underway by the pro homosexual community to force society to validate legally and ethically their choice of unnatural, unhealthy, and perverted sexual behavior and relationships, and to enact laws that allow them to promote this sinful choice to society, even to our children, as normal and desirable behavior. They have succeeded!!!

The disgusting thing to me over the past few years, especially during the run up to New York voting to legalize same sex marriage, was the cheerleading for this perversion of God’s Holy Institution of Marriage on virtually every TV program you turned on. From the hosts on MSNBC, led by radical lesbian Rachel Maddow, to the hosts on CNN, led by openly homosexuals like Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon, to the major broadcast network newscasts, to the daily talk shows like “The View,” you had a daily diet of commentary blasting anyone who opposed traditional marriage. Even FOX News, the supposed bastion of the right, refused to take a meaningful stand against same sex marriage!

If you think God is going to sit back while this nation makes a mockery of His Holy Institution of Marriage the family, you need to go back and read your Bible! God will not be mocked!!! He will not be silent. I have a word for the pro homosexual forces in this nation, “GOD…NOT YOU..WILL HAVE THE LAST WORD!!!”

I love you and care about you so much. As the events of our day surround us, I pray that you will keep your eyes open and see them for what they are. As the Bible says, “he that has eyes let him see.” While I pray for and support the “one-day” efforts like Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s AFA sponsored day of prayer, along with the various other one-time events the church is so good at putting on, they are not the answer. Haven’t we proven over the last 40 yrs, with thousands of crusades, revival meetings, and every type of event you can name, that what is needed is an ongoing, nationwide, daily response to satan’s lies? Satan never sleeps, and is busy 24/7/365 ensnaring people in his traps and helping to lead their souls to hell!

That is why Liveprayer launched the ambitious plan to bring together the remnant. God says, “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” It is our attempt to bring together into one unified and visible group, with one bold and loud daily voice that can’t be ignored, this group who has refused to bow their knee to the gods of this world. If you missed that critical message, you can read it at the following link, and please share it with every Believer you know.
http://www.liveprayer.com/ddarchive3.cfm?id=4498

As people go to the new page we have set-up and become part of the remnant, we will be emailing each one very soon to pray with them and based on their gifts and talents, share some thoughts how they may best allow the Lord to use their life to make the maximum impact for His Kingdom. Again, this is not about building Liveprayer, or another church or ministry, but building God’s Kingdom!

What the remnant in the Bible never had was a real voice. The closest they had was the prophet, God’s spokesman. Sadly, that message never reached the masses for several reasons. They didn’t have the modern communications networks we have today. Today, we have tools like the internet, the social networking sites, TV, and radio, to reach millions worldwide daily with His Truth and the fact Jesus is the only hope and the only ansswer for each nation and each person!
I am also asking those in the remnant to pray about making a special one-time special sacrifce of $300 that will be used for us to secure the TV and radio contracts we have available starting in October, to have that bold, daily, national voice for the Lord and Biblical Truth on secular TV and radio that NOBODY else has.

In the meantime, our nation is under God’s judgment due to our crushing debt that could by itself, be the downfall of this once great land. We have sacrificed the greatest military in human history in order to appease a small percentage of people who have chosen to live in rebellion to God by committing unnatural, unhealthy, and perverted sexual acts. Sunday, New York becomes the latest state to mock God’s Holy Institution of Marriage by allowing same sex couple to legally marry.

My friend, these are not financial, or military, or civil rights issues, these are spritual issues that has already begun to bring down the wrath and punishment of Almighty God upon this nation. Unless we repent, and turn back to God and His Truth our time is very short. It will soon be too late to act. Will you continue to sit back and watch the soul of this nation be destroyed, or will you rise up and stand with me?

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
